The Crescent in Brighton and Hove

This is one of the best pubs in Great Britain! The staff and especially Mrs Laura were very polite and the food was really good!! Happy Easter!

Yeah - good place, this. A couple of decent IPAs to choose from, friendly and helpful service, not a million miles away from the train station and major attractions, and a nice little beer garden at the back.

Great pub. Amazing food. Very warm and cozy on a cold afternoon. Had the Sunday roast - I’d recommend it. Jo served us our drinks and brought our food to the table. She and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Get around here

I spent a lovely hour in The Crescent today. Jo (bar staff) was particularly accommodating and friendly.

A lovely cosy pub, great drinks options and fair price, however they stopped serving food around 40 minutes before their advertised kitchen closure time which was a bit disappointing.

Greet pub for Sunday roast. Very cosy with the fireplace. Also very friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely would come back.

The best Sunday roast lunch we have had had in a long time! Perfectly cooked vegetables and delicious gravy with a particularly tasty cheesecake for dessert. Plus Lovely staff and an interesting mix of people.

I had the best roast I’d had in a long time at the crescent today! They’re always good here and if there’s just a couple of you you can usually get a seat without booking. Lovely team and warm cosy vibes pub. Recommend it.

Visited 1st Monday after New Year. Even those that are not doing Dry January were probably having a rest, so it was very quiet. Beer was OK, service was good (may have just been glad to do something). Probably nice bar in normal times, so I will revisit to check it out.

Came out for our annual pre Christmas dinner with neighbours. Food was spot on. Really tasty and the portions were very generous. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.Well done, and as Arnie says, we'll be back.

A really great experience all around. Accommodating a large group for a Sunday lunch (pre orders available) the food, atmosphere and whole experience was top notch. I highly recommend The Crescent for a roast, great roasties, amazing Yorkshire puds, a nice selection of veg and a tasty gravy. All in all, I'd say give it a go it'll be worthwhile.

We came here as a large group of 14. We had a delicious Sunday roast with very generous portions, which all came to the table within a few minutes of each other. Great service and lovely decor.

We found this pub by chance as we were looking for a cozy roast on a cold and blustery winters day. We had a very warm and friendly greeting by Lana on our arrival who really made us feel so welcome. We would definitely visit again. P.s, their house Shiraz is so good, and we left feeling very full.

Very last minute roast on a Sunday... Figured we'd never find a table with ten minutes notice, but they were able to find space for four of us. Lovely roast and great service from Lara who absolutely saved the day.

What a treat on a Sunday afternoon! The roast was one of the best I've ever had. The vegan nut roast was moist and flavourful, and the best I've had in a restaurant. The wonderful Lara served us and catered to our every need. If you want great food in a lovely, comfy atmosphere; this is the place!

Great mid week meal out - two burgers and fries for £16.00 on a Wednesday. Good value, tasty, fresh. My husband had the blue cheese and mushroom burger ..said the burger (beef) was really good quality. I had the vegan burger and it was great.

Great roast! Lydia was great, highly recommend the roasts quick and fantastic service! Only gripe is the music was abit too loud, but everything else was great.

Came in today for the half price wings deal served by barmaids Emily and Sophie with food made by the Chef Jessy! What a bargain! Had the spicy wings with a homemade hot sauce I’ve tasted nowhere else and they were amazing taste and quality! To the Crescent: I will be back next Monday for more wings !!! I will recommend to all my friends!

Amazing roasts food came quickly

Had two lovely roast dinners in the garden. Really great experience. Service was quick and friendly and we had but one roast get one half price which meant it was great value! Would recommend.

Spacious pub, really friendly service by knowledgeable bar staff. We had the Sunday roast which was perfect. Luckily we found this very slightly out of town pub due to arranging a parking space nearby. It’s definitely worth the short walk up the hill from the beach front for a lovely relaxing time. Will visit again.

one of the quieter pubs in brighton being just away from 7 dials and a lovely part of the city. a few tables outside which are bathed in sun and a cozy garden out back. would like to keep it a bit secret but that does not do it justice really.

I hadn’t been to the crescent for awhile but was really pleased, the pub itself at first doesn’t seem to offer much but the atmosphere was really cosy and the simple menu was perfect for what we were looking for. The chargrilled burger was excellent and so were the rest of our meals. Great value too.

Amazing local pub, fantastic food and fun staff. Some good draft beers, a good wine selection and a good selection of alcohol free drinks too, it also has a great beer garden and is dog friendly.

Had Sunday roast. Meat tasted ok, but everyone's meals were swamped in watery, bland gravy that unfortunately made for a soggy meal.

Very disappointing. 1 meal was mushroom, spinach, brie Wellington which was not a Wellington it was more like a pie and had no flavour, couldn't see any mushrooms or spinach or taste of brie it was very glupie, 2nd meal was roast pork which was very tasteless. Roast potatoes was burnt one side and no colour on the other sides and no flavour and no rosemary, 1 carrot each was not roasted, 1 parsnip each was definitely not roasted, cabbage was just stalks, when asked about green beans we got told they are in with the cabbage.... They definitely was no green beans and no roasted beetroot of which I was told by the server she saw him put them on the plate,they were not on ours. The server said she will speak to the chef and maybe we could come back next week and try again, we were offered a drink and we declined and we will not be back an offer of a refund of one meal would of been nice which I suggested.

What a fantastic pub, we live just around the corner and moving close to the crescent is one of the best parts of coming to the area. The food is fantastic and at a great price, especially on their 2-4-1 burger Wednesdays! I also cannot speak highly enough of their roasts, I recently had the pork with some pigs in blankets, and quite honestly, it was one of the best roasts I’ve had in some time! The atmosphere is great also! A good crowd, friendly locals, and the staff are chatty, friendly, and welcoming. Lara is a particular highlight of the staff, she’s always smiley, fun! It’s a pleasure to see her behind the bar.

We booked lunch here on Mother's Day. Despite it being one of the busiest days of their year, Lauren bothered to call us the night before to ask us what we'd like to order so that she could make sure we got we what we wanted. A really kind gesture much appreciated!

We were 8 people on a Saturday night , we were looked after really attentively by the staff who expertly waiter served us in a ‘order at the bar’ type pub . The food was great pub food and everyone from the no-alcohol people to the serious beer drinkers was well catered for . Such a great evening !
