We were down for weekend and what a cracking pub locals real friendly the music bingo was break fun hop see you all soon plus staff were top notch

The experience my team had after a very wet beach clean. We took cover here from the weather. The fast friendly service we got from Richard, the manager. Was definitely 10/10. Professionally, and served my wet, thirsty hungry managers in no time. We all had a great time. Thanks Richard, I'm sure were be back.

This is our local and we love it. Amazing prices for kids meals, kid and dog friendly, nice bright atmosphere. The food is consistently great. We paid £36 for a meal for two adults and four kids, and the kids all had drinks, dessert, and lots of food options for them. Board game selection too. Highly recommended.

Great pub for football fans especially Arsenal

Visited on a Saturday evening when the football was on. It was surprisingly quiet with many tables free. The service was quick and food was lovely with no complaints. We ordered off the app which was quick and easy. I only didn't score it higher as it was very warm in there with no air con or ventilation. This made us not want to stay for another drink.

Great choice of beers, lovely and clean as well as welcoming staff. Looking forward to going more regularly.

Really enjoyed a visit with a friend. I'm disabled and they were very accommodating and helpful with putting down access ramps etc Very good food and service. I really can't fault anything and will definitely return at some point

Ordered the pitcher long island. The waitress working this day… I don’t even know how to describe it politely… very sleep deprived? She was forgetting my order and as I watched her prepare the worst long island ice tea ever with 95% cola and ice, I decided to stay away from ordering from her for the night. The rosemary chips were alright.

Fantastic meal with some mates, stayed and listened to the music later on in the evening. Very good staff and lovely atmosphere. Will be back again, thanks for a top evening.

Fantastic sirloin steak, cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. Staff all seemed very friendly and polite. Nice atmosphere throughout the pub.

Too class pub not many like it anymore but if Chantae is working then it's the best pub in the world

I had my dad’s wake at the Palmeira and they could not have been more kind and helpful. The food was amazing and great value for money and we were all made to feel very welcome. They even had books and games for the children to play with and provided boxes to take some of the food as there was so much!

Palmeira is always a good spot to set up for an evening. Food is good quality and good value, with a great selection of drinks too. Welcoming staff and comfortable surroundings, a good place to catch some sport on the telly. One of my regulars!

Great pub with helpful staff and great food. We usually come here as a group and they always accommodate us (better than most pubs would treat a group). Great screens for sports and good mixed atmosphere so you never feel like you’re in a mob. All staff are lovely but shoutout to Josh who always makes us feel at home.

This place has pretty much become my new local since moving to Hove. The staff are friendly, service is efficient and food is good 🙂 standard pub grub, nice for an inexpensive meal out. Drinks prices are pretty much standard for Brighton, but there are sometimes offers on the Greene King app for a free pint. Can be a little loud and busy on match days, which is standard.

Great evening for the last game of the Rugby 6 nations. Lots of screens to watch on. Brilliant atmosphere created by the additional entertainment put on. Definitely recomend for any sporting events.

We love this place, it has a real sense of the local. The staff are always so warm and inviting. The food is pub grub but it is very good and at a great price. I highly recommend this place for a light bite or a full on Sunday lunch either way you won't be disappointed. Plus you can great vegan and veggie options.

Great pub, staff are very friendly and pour great pints. The food is seriously good, I’m confident in anything I order off the menu here. The gaffer also does a great clover on the head of a Guinness! (He said it’d taste better if I post this 😉). But couldn’t ask for a better local, great place for a few pints, watch a game, and play some pool.

A great time last Thursday, the staff super friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, I recommend the steak pie, and had a really fun quiz which we joined. Back again soon.

Have eaten at the Palmeira a few times & two of us had an early meal, 5pm on Monday 20 November. Tasty gammon steak with fried egg, pineapple slice, chips & peas. Great menu, pub specials & friendly, attentive staff. Will be back soon.

The best pub in Hove. Nice decor and really good atmosphere, reasonable prices, The bar staff are lovely and friendly, a really good pint and good variety of choice of food to eat which is really nice, they show all the tv sport, have live music entertainment to other event stuff like workshops going on. Pool table, Dartboard and board games. Take your friends and family there's something for everyone.

The Palmeira pub is an absolute gem! The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. From their juicy burgers to their mouthwatering appetizers, every bite was a delight. The service was great too, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure we had an amazing dining experience. I highly recommend The Palmeira for a fantastic meal and excellent service.

Great venue for sport! We did book a table for a recent important sporting event and couldn't actually see any screens from our booked table.

Went with family for a roast. Order extra Yorkshire pudding but was served one that was like this. Complained to staff nothing happened about this abomination. Never eat roast here

Lovely pub with a great variety of drinks and pub food. It offers a beautiful ambiance with a nice traditional decor, hosts live sports, live music, pub quiz, has a pool table and board games also available. So you will not get bored ! I visited on a Monday lunch time which was quiet and chill. Seating is comfortable consisting of tables and chairs indoor and outdoor , couches , high chairs and tables, and benches in the beer backyard garden. The staff are welcoming, friendly and happy to serve you. They are knowledgeable about the menu and ready to answer your questions and help you choose they also checked on me after food was served. Their menus including a kids menu offer a great variety of food and drinks with reasonable prices. Cocktails are 6£ they also have non alcoholic options for 4 £. The place offers lunch sandwiches for 6 pounds, main dishes, burgers and platters for 9 to 15.5. Vegan vegetarian options are also available. My order: Strawberry and cranberry spritz 3.99£ . the shweppes lemonade dominated and I couldnt taste the cranberry but overall it was refreshing and nice. Super grain Salad 8.79£ : surprisingly healthy food in a pub i loved this item made my day as it is a mix of grains( lentils, quinoa,beans) with soft boneless chicken thighs marinated with mango and lime and glazed with a sweet chilli sauce. The dish also contains avocado slices, tomatoe, cucumber, rocket leaves and grilled onion and pepper. Food serving speed was quick which worries me and unfortunately everything was fresh, tasted great, the chicken was well cooked soft moist and hot except the grilled onion and the peppers smelled and tasted spoiled.

I was some what emotional when I arrived having a particularly rough day In tears and very stressed with my poor dad in tow, the Landlord Richard did all he could to find us a table, it took us a little while to get round the ordering service which ended up as table service. Food was ok, drinks where fantastic And the staff where amazing while working in this tricky climate adhering to all the rules stringently while being super friendly, helpful and courteous! THis is definitely a local pub I recommend!

I’ve known this pub for years and it’s always been soulless. I think it’s the location, the staff are nice enough. Never satisfying.

Good selection of real ales, gives CAMRA discount, Wimbledon on TV. Pleasurable lunch break.

For a chain pub this is a very nice place.

Went for Sunday lunch with 4 friends .. very tasty but the lunches arrived at the table quite staggered so by the time the last person got theirs the first one had nearly finished .. very tasty curry sauce tho

This definitely is a great pub, especially for Brighton / Hove. Good food, good choice of drinks, friendly staff. The clientele are normal people, not tiresome Brighton yuppie types or tourists. Perhaps this is why the prices are reasonable and a small round won't cost you an arm and a leg. So highly recommended but one small quibble - if you say you open at 11am on a Sunday I expect to be able to put my bum on a seat there at 11am not find the doors still closed at 11:30. Otherwise would be a 5 star.

Had a lovely Sunday roast today here at the Palmeira. There was a minor incovenience with my meal and the staff were very polite about it and gave us compensation. Would definitely recommend 👍🏽

Always enjoy my visits here, great selection of reasonably priced food and drink. Live sport on TV and outside seating if required. A great place to come before Sussex cricket games and just a short walk from Hove station. Would recommend.

An okay pub. Food was okay. We went for music but the acoustics were just horrendous. So if you go for one of the gigs make sure to sit right in front of the performers.
