The Blind Busker in Hove is a top-notch pub, especially for rugby enthusiasts like myself. The Harvey's Bitter served here is a true delight, making the game more bearable after England losing to Scotland 30 - 21 at Murrayfield. The atmosphere is spot-on, creating a perfect setting for a laid-back afternoon of sport. While some of the bar staff may be a bit quirky, it only adds to the charm, making the experience thoroughly enjoyable. Cheers to The Blind Busker for a great afternoon !

We didn't eat, but went for the football on Sunday 11th February. Beer was very good and staff were helpful. However, I am disabled and on leaving the lift broke down and I was stuck inside the lift for around 45 minutes until it was eventually decided to call the fire brigade. Though the staff, and some of the customers were very nice, the suggestion of trying to get some customers to lift me out was scary and dangerous. I feel that the fire brigade could have been called much sooner as I'd suggested this around half an hour before it was actually done. I have previously had a problem with the lift there and unfortunately although I like the pub, I'm unable to return for worry that it could happen again. Just one more point, the lock on the disabled toilet could do with being looked at. It's all very unfortunate, as I do like the pub, but I'm afraid I won't be able to return. I have just seen your reply and need to respond again. In my previous review I was completely honest with what happened, including the length of time that I was stuck in the lift. I was not upset or angry, but just said that it was unfortunate as it meant that I was unable to use the pub again, but was complimentary about the pub and the staff. However your reply has now made me angry as you are being dishonest about the time that I was stuck there, and also passing the buck and blaming me for trying to open the door too early. I waited until the lift had completely stopped before attempting to open the door, it was not my fault that it didn't go all the way to the bottom, and when I asked for help one of the bar people pressed the button and it went up an inch or two before completely stopping. Please get your facts right before blaming me for incidents that I had no control over whatsoever

I really liked this pub. I thought it had a great atmosphere, service was good and a variety of ales and beers are available. I would go back if I am in Hove again.

We have been here twice now, and it won't be the last. Really enjoyed the vegan burger. The service was friendly, and they allow dogs, which is great. Food also reasonably priced. We look forward to visiting again.

Came here with friends and children for Christmas Day and had a perfect day. Thank you so much Amy, Mike and the team for making our day so very special. Great atmosphere , delicious food and fantastic service . Fabulous touches such as separate games area with home made mince pies and other treats. We have eaten out at Christmas for several years and this was by far our favourite. Thanks again , we will be back next year if you'll have us!! Xx

Atmosphere was great, food was great, it was a great experience, one barman ( whose name I forget) was very helpful, he made sure the correct football game was on the TV closest to us and even helped me carry down the deonks to the table.

Excellent size with something for everyone. They have a nice garden in the back with heaters and TV's. They also have a massive projector in the back of the pub which shows the football. Staff super friendly, didn't try the food but it smelt nice. One thing I didn't like was the very strong smell of bleach when walking in (Although its a good sign that they cleaned well)

What a great place to stop for a bite! Nice and quiet, great selection of beers and they're only £2.80 on Tuesdays! Ordered a club Sandwich and it's massive! Will definitely be back.

I love this pub! I have been a local for years its really nice to have somewhere to go for every occasion! Naomi has always gone out of her way to make me and my mates feel special and her customer service in general is spot on. However the food has gone a bit downhill but I still love this place its the heart of Hove

Nice little pub. We had the chicken Tikka (tasty, but only a few pieces of meat), gammon (delicious) and scampi (yummy). Meal portions are HUGE (would rather have options and pay less) and tasty. Only complaint was the lack of chicken in the Tikka, otherwise everyone very happy with meals. Would recommend, will go again.

Had a wonderful lunch at the Blind Busker with my family. Amy and Michael were so friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble for Michael. The food was excellent. We have been many times and always been impressed with the quality of service and food.

We (7 people) went there yesterday to celebrate our daughter's birthday after friends' recommendations about the pub. We found a lovely table outside in the garden, but sticky with a dead mouse nearby. The staff welcomed us with ignorance when we asked if there was a big table available. The answer was: I don't know, have a look around. When my husband went to order the starters, no one informed him what food was not available that evening. So nearly everyone wanted to order fish and chips, but had to change their choice after starters and drinks were ordered. The mains, mainly burgers were ordered, had a lot of burnt buns and we had to ask for two of them to be replaced because they were inedible. The birthday girl's burger from the kids menu was hard and cold and we had to ask for a new one. There was no apology, just eye rolling and like we were bothering the team too much. My husband said twice to the person taking the order to bring everything when it's ready, we were not fussy on waiting everyone to get their food. On the other side, the veggie burger and the sweet potato fries were very nice. Overall, the evening and the meal were disappointing because our guests were from abroad and we wanted to let them experience a nice pub dinner, but they left their plates full.

Great staff. One didn't know the current deal, 10 strip pieces 6.99 other guy was sweeping and cleaning, flew over and said , yes there's a deal on. Guy on till was polite but had no clue. Go enjoy 10 pieces 6 quid. Or 6.99... grab some soft squidgy rolls at tesco sainsbury'setc, kentucky will give h mayo and ketchup, chicken rolls all round! 9 quid! Xx

I came yesterday with two friends to eat a Sunday roast: it was delicious! The Vegan mushrooms Wellington was really good as well. Great service and a nice general atmosphere especially in the back garden. Congratulations to the team, we will definitely be back :)

They claim to be a space friendly to women but turned the channel away amidst an overwhelming womens world cup crowd. The result was a few aggressive men watching arsenal and threatening us. I thought this would be a respectful place but I was wrong. Not only will I not be back but recommend women stay way from this place. Their support of the women's game is not real.

I use this as my local while working in Hove. Guinness tastes great and a very pleasant atmosphere.

Very Dog Freindly. Went out of their way to offer my dog a bowl of Water.

Not on the water front but just 5 minutes back from the sea so easy to get to. The food was good and larger helpings. We were in the garden area which was away from the main road and great for the summer.

The supposed manager is a joke. i didn't want bacon on my burger, but i let that go, = not difficult to understand. then a guy turns up spraying stuff over the garden and continues drilling bits of wood. I am not the only one that left (many other patrons did). You are an idiot if you don't know how to manage a simple/easy to run pub! good luck

Amazing pub. Central hove, good priced food (and it tastes AMAZING!) The cider & beer selection is quite varied and the flavoured ciders are just top notch! Definitely recommend this pub!

I lived here for over 1 Year and was my First time Here ...Was greeted by a Guy who Knew His Job and Was Serving Me Even Before he got On Behind The Bar! Have tried a number of times and each time disappointed for different reasons. Have always given the benefit of the doubt but won’t return again.

Fantastic pub. Best in Brighton, without doubt.. I found Amy the manager is everything a manager should be in a public house. Amy’s focus on customer service was exemplary along with all the other staff too. It’s a rarity to find this kind of customer service in the UK. Great selection of alcoholic drinks, tasty pub food by the hard working chef, and all this at reasonable prices, rare again for Brighton. Highly recommended indeed. I You will not be disappointed.

We went here mainly to watch the football but also tried the burger meal deal. Needless to say the pub was very busy but despite being rushed off their feet the staff were brilliant. We'd reserved a space & when we got there we found we had a table but only one chair - as it was a sport booking we knew it didn't guarantee seating so we'd have lived with that but were quickly spotted by the guy bringing food and drinks round who did his best to find us one - special thanks to him! The food was also very good and very well priced.

Had a wake in the Busker on Tuesday and staff members Michael and Delsin provided excellent service and support for all who attended.

Great pub. Especially if you enjoy watching sports. We go here for the six nations and its quite a good atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and some of the best kept real ale in the South. In the North hand pulled pumps are put together properly with the sparkler attached. In the south you will notice its rarely, if ever in place (there should be a plastic cover over the screw threads at the end of the swan neck) This means real ale never gets served properly without it. That being said the BB serves the best sparkler free real ale in the South. Top job 👏

Our favourite place to start our weekends in Brighton and Hove. Michael is the most friendly, helpful and welcoming. A cosy place on a dull day and perfect outside spaces for sunny ones. Highly recommend

Back again for a couple of drinks, a bite to eat and a catch up. We enjoyed our evening here as usual. New staff (to us) once again but all very friendly and helpful. The chef was very pleasant. Had our usual fish finger sandwich on brown with fries which was very good. Good atmosphere. Reassuring to see the pubs a bit busier. Recommended.

Decent food and cheap pints on a Tuesday.

The food was tasty, but there was hardly any of it, and it was was very expensive. I had to buy a crumble for pudding as the steak was not filling and there was about half a centimetre of crumble in a big bowl.

Spacious with a good selection of drinks to suit all tastes (hopefully). There are certainly worst places to have a few libations. Lots of good eateries around the area as I'm not sure they do food.

Came in to watch IRE v FRA and had the best kept pints of both Gun & Three Acre (my two local breweries) I've ever had. Very friendly staff and vibe, loads of screens, and plenty of good-natured rugby banter. Only a few hundred yards from my daughter's place, I've found a new bolthole!

Dropped in to the Blind Busker for a few drinks prior to attending a local restaurant for dinner. It was busy with a few, what appeared to be, Christmas office parties getting underway but, the service was without question and one barman, who clearly realised...

This is a hidden gem. Great traditional pub with great ales, great staff and great pub. The outdoor beer garden is an added plus. Thanks in particular to Tony who always serve a pint with a smile! Cheers all.

Friendly staff, lots of TVs to watch the footy. Wings were pretty good. Nachos are way overpriced for what you get

First pint of craft cider was lovely, the 2nd from a different member of staff filled the glass with ice without asking me, when I asked for a full pint the drink was taken into a back room out of view. It returned without ice and was filled up but that's bad bartending.

Nothing to recommend about this place - they even seem to be proud of being a pub owned by Stonegate! £4.75 for a single ‘house’ vodka - which was plain old Smirnoff.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff plus the best beer in Brighton bar none.
