The Crafty Fox in Charnwood

Nice bar, good food, friendly staff, BUT DO NOT USE THE TOILETS 🤢. They were absolutely disgusting! I should of known when walking up the stairs to them! I don’t think they had been cleaned for weeks!cobwebs everywhere, no toilet paper, toilets hadn’t and wouldn’t flush! No lock on the doors!! Terrible.. and the smell!! 🤢🤢.

I witnessed a young girl joking with a bouncer, clearly she’d had a few drinks but they were laughing back and forth. However, another bouncer decided to take it upon himself to not let her go back in because she was ‘rude’ when really his ego was just huge and she damaged it. The bouncer was extremely rude and demeaning to the girl and refused to let her back in, leaving her outside on her own while her friends and her drinks were still inside. Eventually, he was demanding she apologised and even when she did, he didn’t let her back in and she walked away by herself at 1am. Disgusting behaviour from one of the bouncers, who ought to be really ashamed of himself and also disgusting from the other bouncer who watched it all but didn’t say anything to him.

First visit First visit to The Crafty Fox. One request for food wasn`t available. Hard floor areas were all sticky under foot.I ordered some lager beers and a glass of red wine."House or Jack Rabbit?" Knowing not one from the other I said "House". I would go as far as to say that this was the poorest wine I think I have EVER tasted.Little more than weak fruit juice! The waitress clearing away asked was everything alright. So we told her just how bad this stuff was. Her response "Yeah next time you`ll know to ask for Merlot". I thought maybe she would tell the management. I truly expected a free better wine or money back..Management - please take note and try your house wine for yourselves.

Had a lovely time at the crafty fox in loughborough for the work night out. Caitlin was an absolute gem bless her. Were a rowdy bunch you did well girly 👍🎅

Really just terrible bouncers. Awful and on an ego trip. Griffs or Kelso is much better for a night out with fair prices and not the chance for your face to get kicked in by some 30 year old who got bullied in 6th form

Pleasant and friendly pub ... similar to Wetherspoons but not so rammed during the day! Very busy at night with students. Daytime food really nice and good value.

I was confused entering this establishment as the signage makes its look like a craft ale bar/pub. 30 seconds after entering, having dodged a drunk student vomiting on the floor in front of me, my eyes were opened. I should have turned away. Sticky floor, rude/inattentive staff - chatting in a group whilst we waited to be severed - coupled with dirty unwiped tables and Plus points: beer was reasonably priced. Avoid, if possible.

Mens toilets were filthy, falling apart and in desperate need of cleaning, and modernising. Disabled toilet downstairs was also filthy, with no facilities. Adult soft drink served in a plastic cup

Food is quite nice. Staff spend too much time talking to each other. Not experienced in taking food orders. Always something missing off our meal or missing condements. Food gets cold while having to leave my table to sort issues out. Breakfast is nice. Food is nice but not much choice, especially sundays. Toilets downstairs filthy.

A vast pub. Had to wait to be served even though there were only 4 other people in. The badge for real ale was there and facing out. I ordered a cider and then husband ordered the real ale only to be told it was off. So to keep me company he too had a cider. The tables were sticky, the seats were stained and in short it was mess. The place in is dire need of a darn good clean and refurbishment. I would not go again and certainly wouldn't even think of eating there.

Had a lovely visit to this pub recently, sport throughout, great value food and drinks, looked after by very friendly staff, and enjoyed a brilliant atmosphere - something here for everyone

Great to visit for good value food and a chilled environment to watch sport. A good two for £8 range and cheap hot drinks too.

The food was amazing and it is the best quality food we have had in loughborough and the staff were really friendly

Glad that this place has had a refurb and reopened !! It’s a spacious, light and accessible bar with friendly staff and good value food !!
