We’ve stayed at Wooda on many occasions over the past 10!years, always enjoying a meal at the courtyard bar. We always book as it’s very popular. This year however we were disappointed to be seated in the Annexe. We weren’t told this when we booked. It was cold and uninviting, Who needs a tv and sofa in a restaurant? My daughter said it had no atmosphere. We would’ve left if it wasn’t for the kids being hungry. One family did leave while we were there. The staff apologised for us being disappointed but that’s the limit of the customer service. The food was lovely and the campsite is fabulous but on our next visit to Wooda we will eat elsewhere.

Going to stay at this campsite for the 3rd time in june follwed by another visit in sept. food is gorgeous the staff are sooo friendly and the seating area is gtreat

Staying at Wooda. Fabulous meal here One of the best steaks ever ! Definitely recommend a visit. Great site as a whole and a visit to the courtyard barn made our mid week break enjoyable.

Good food and service , we had a dog with us so felt a little out of the way but we’re still inside. Service was good and friendly.

We have stayed at Wooda Farm for many years, and have always enjoyed court yard barn, last year understandablely closed, this year, booking only, so we booked a few nights ahead of arriving, our experience on first booking, was very disappointing! service totally chaotic! Shown to table, then nothing for around 10 minutes, then had menu put in from of us, after 20 minutes young man came to take order, still we waited for our drinks! Then we noticed that people that came in after us had theirs! Waitress came out with cutlery, said where we OK, we said our drinks would be nice, finally after 35 minutes!! drinks arrived, menu choices poor, we ate food paid and left, table booked again for Saturday night, same unorganised service, we where with family this time, waited for ever for drinks, when food arrived, my meal was missing! by the time I got it the others had finished! paid, left to go yo cocktail bar, only to be Informed, I'mclosing in 13 minutes!! That was 13 minutes to 9pm,really what was going on, we where on holiday trying to have a good time, but we where made to feel very un welcome, hence cancelled other bookings, And went to Preston Inn in pough Hill, where we where made very welcome had excellent service, why open up on a holiday park if you can not provide a good service, left Wooda feeling badly let down!!

Booked a table 3 weeks ago and was looking forward to going here for a meal as we are staying at Wooda. When we turned up we thought how lovely. There seemed to be a nice atmosphere, unfortunately we were spirited out of the main restaurant through the courtyard and into another building - the Rootery. Have to say we thought like we were an afterthought. On our table was a laminated note to advise us to vacate the table by a certain time (2hrs) and laminated menu with very little choice. We placed a drinks order and that took forever to arrive. We were then told that our food order couldn’t be taken as the was a disruption, we asked how long would the delay be and the server went out to find out. Meanwhile we were still waiting for drinks and debating whether we should give up and go back to the vans., however the server came back and said our order could now be taken and the disruption was to do with an order that hadn’t gone through and the owner was sorting it out and as they were also the chef hence delay. Our food arrived 3x brisket burgers, 1 southern fried chicken burger served on metal tray with fries - no salad garnish or coleslaw etc and 1 gammon , it was ok but very expensive for what it was. We noticed a person on the next table to us had a curry - where was that on the menu??? We weren’t told of any specials! We asked to order a 2nd round of drinks and was told that someone from the bar would come and take our order - no one came and we were waiting for sometime for a server to come back into our building so we could get the bill. We left feeling deflated on the experience. We had booked a table for our last night but have now cancelled the booking. Since looking on trip advisor we noticed that another report had the same experience a week ago - wish we had looked before our visit! Plus the photos of the food on this trip advisor site - didn’t see anything that resembled that. Really disappointed.

I cannot review the food here because we didn’t get that far. This is in no way a criticism of the staff at all who again didn’t get near to being able to serve us and said they understood our issue. Having booked a table we were shown through the main dining area into an “outhouse” that I can only assume is an afterthought to house additional diners, named the “root house”. This is a dull, lifeless, dingy and damp smelling place that in no way could be deemed a restaurant. There is a sofa at the end of the room with a TV indicating indeed that this is an add on to accommodate more numbers. The first thing you are greeted by is a laminated sheet on the table telling you that you have to vacate within 1 hr 45 mins. Why I have no idea. I am sure COVID will be to blame but when paying full prices to sit in a damp smelling out house the last thing you want for no reason is to be told you are also on the clock. Add to this you cannot even order face to face as you are immediately told to scan a QR Code to order drinks before they will come and actually speak to you for a food order. What is you don’t have a smart phone? Quite shocking all round really and for the room and smell alone we left before ordering.

Visited at a busy time, 3 people plus dog. Food was very good, cannot fault it. Tried 2 local gins and they were also excellent. Service was good, we used a new app to order without any issues, but noticed some customers who were not familiar with these kind of apps were struggling and were quite rudely dealt with by a lady who seemed to be in charge. Understand she was busy but these were customers and should be treated with respect. This was a shame as everything else about our visit was great.

First time at Bude and first time at court yard. Wow. Staff very nervous on opening but incredible how quick they went from strength to strength. Helen obviously a great a coordinator turned out fantastic food at a great service and price. Could not fault anything at, all covid guidance in place.Best steak in years. Shame our last night at Bude but will return both the park and restaurant fantastic. Thank you for a fantastic last night we really do not want to go home despite weather. Well done courtyard 1st night in over a year anyone say different block them them from booking list as you were all fab. Xxjane russ smithurst

After reading some really good reviews about the food here I can only be disappointed by the food we received. Two burgers ordered were raw in the middle. No offer to rectify issue just a shrug of shoulders. Wouldn’t recommend.

We visited several times during our stay at Wooda and really liked the courtyard. The bar is well presented and immaculately clean. The price for drinks was reasonable especially being on a campsite where prices can be higher. The food was lovely. As a family who love fish, we chose to share 3 fish dishes; whitebait, calamari and scampi. All 3 dishes were delivered promptly, a good portion size and very tasty! Particular thanks to the lady who consoled our son with a skittle when he banged his head! We'll definitely be back!

Our last night staying in wooda are out at the courtyard and dinner was lovely and didn't disappoint not a massive menu choice but was very tasty and well presented

Went to courtyard with my family for our wedding anniversary, have been coming to wooda for many years as is just to clean and friendly, the food order we placed came very quickly even though it was quite busy , the food itself is excellent as we all had something different and each dish was spot on , the only negative is the lady owner ( I assume) as two of our meals were steaks and when they where brought out they did t have the sauce we ordered , after waiting a few minutes my son politely asked about the sauce only to be abruptly told that if we’d ordered it then it would be on its way !!!!!!!! Shame really as rest of our stay was excellent

We ate here tonight. Wednesday 3rd October. I loved the barn it’s stunning. A log fire was burning. Which gave a wonderful warm atmosphere. The staff that were on duty were so friendly and helpful. Then there was the food. Awesome. There’s no other word. Food was so good. I had lasagne it was fabulous and a very generous portion and my husband had one of the specials pork chop. The meal was huge. He said it was fantastic. We were not rushed out and relaxed after our meal. Myself with a couple of coffees and my husband with a couple of glasses of wine. Would definitely eat here again. If u was ever here on holiday again I’d make a trip to visit here as it’s so nice. Thankyou for such a nice evening

Standard of food is always good if the selection is limited. Staff are enthusiastic and helpful. We can eat in a relaxed environment with our dogs either outside or the barn

We stayed on site and ended up eating here 3 times as the food was so good. The burgers are amazing and good value. The desserts are also yummy, although we could only fit one in on the final night!

Having been camping at wooda great camp site clean toilets and lovely showers all the site is kept clean The down side with the it was the court yard barn pub. They say they like dogs but clearly they don’t sitting there having a meal for four with our dog out side a bottle of wine and beers lovely meal but found the lady who owns the pub rather rude It got to 10pm to be told they were closing To go and see a band in town in other words drink up we are shutting up, There was12 people happy drinking out side and about 6 people at the bar Very disappointed. I know it’s coming to the end of the season but customer relations is a good thing it’s what makes people come back yr after yr As for dogs I think you need more out food seating airy for those who have dogs!!

My girlfriend and I visited The Courtyard Barn for my birthday meal whilst we were staying at The Wooda Campsite. The staff were very friendly, the service was quick, the restaurant was very cosy and the food was excellent. We had the sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend visiting the restaurant, whether you’re staying at the campsite or not - I’m sure you’ll thoroughly enjoy your meal!

Quick service and tasty food. It's really handy being onsite, meaning if you don't want to cook, you don't have to go out to eat either! They welcome well behaved dogs, which was mainly fine however one dog belonging to a diner kept barking which was slightly annoying.

We have stayed twice in the last few weeks at Wooda FArm and used the restaurant.

Había 9 en total. 4 adultos y 5 niños. No podía pedir comida hasta las 6. 30, que fue una de las principales inconveniente ya que nuestros hijos eran "hambrientos". Sin embargo, después de pedir la comida llegaba muy rápidamente y yo no me puedo quejar. Mi crítica principal es que estaba muy lleno por el mal tiempo y nos acercaron por presumiblemente el gerente (mujeres) preguntó si nuestro hijos mente moviéndose de sus asientos y sentarse en taburetes * nuevo presumiblemente así que podrían llenar el restaurante). Me negué. No se me ocurriría pedir un adulto para hacer esto. Encontré este muy ofensivo. Tan pronto como habíamos terminado nuestra comida nos acompañaron fuera de la puerta. No he experimentado nada como esto me sorprendió bastante.

Evening meal here with 3 kids. Food was very good and service was prompt and courteous. Price was reasonable. No complaints.

Nos estábamos hospedando en wooda y pensé que me dan al restaurante un go que siendo totalmente sinceros, estábamos bastante ansiosos. Entramos en encontrar una mesa y cogí un menú. Tras decidir lo que queríamos, con mucha variedad y una buena ofertas especiales - fuimos a la orden. Pedimos comida y también tenía una pinta de San Miguel y un gin tonic. Las bebidas al volver a la mesa, vimos algo flotando en la parte superior de la San Miguel, después de una inspección más nos dimos cuenta de que este era el tabaco! Flotando en la bebida. Nos dio asco, pero pescaban y no me puedo quejar. Luego nos dimos cuenta en el fondo de la copa, había un contenedor para consejos filtro - en este punto nos quedamos totalmente indignado. Tomamos la copa de vuelta al bar y la chica dijo ah, voy de intercambio. También nos informo de que el tabaco que tenía elegido. Ella no tenía mucho que decir. No son exigentes, pero no podíamos ayudar, pero creo que esto era absolutamente repugnante! En general, la comida era estupenda, sólo asegúrate de registro no hay nada flotando en el vaso porque el personal no!

Great staff, very friendly and attentive. Delicious food! Very child friendly. No dogs allowed indoors but could sit outside. Good choice of food. Recommend the local cider too.

No esperes conseguir una buena comida de calidad como bien preparado ya que no de un restaurante, pero este lugar entregado. Esto le da la mayoría de los restaurantes de Bude por su dinero y una verdadera ventaja cuando se alojen en tener este Wooda en su puerta. Sin duda comer allí de nuevo y lo recomendaría sus filetes. ¡Delicioso!

This place is very friendly and all the staff can't do enough for you. They also cater for dietary requirements and offer you different options (most places don't do this). The portions are more than enough too. Would recommend to all.

We camped at Wooda Park and this was a god send. Not only that the food was excellent, staff attentive and you can take the dog! What more could you want?

I've stayed at Wooda Farm twice now and frequently visited the Courtyard Bar and Grill. It's always been most welcoming with excellent service from the staff, where nothing is too much trouble and we'll cooked quality food. The desserts and care of presentation are 2nd to none, just wish we had a place like this near us!Thank you all x

What a nice little restaurant and bar, very handy for the campsite! Nice choice of beers and wines. Family friendly friendly too. Nice selection of specials and good friendly staff

When you're camping and the weather is rubbish, warm food and a friendly atmosphere goes a long way to making cold, rainy days much better. Given the remote location of the courtyard barn and the captive audience of hungry campers they delivery much more than expected and at a reasonable price.A lovely little hideaway and good food, it definitely gave us a good excuse not to cook al fresco occasionally!

Stayed at Wooda for the week and had three meals at courtyard. Good value and quality food . Choice limited and specials don't seem to chance. Good service and friendly staff. Recommended.

Had a lovely meal here with my wife whilst staying at Wooda Farm campsite. Staff are polite, and attentive. Food came quickly and was well cooked and delicious.

A little disappointed with the special, scallop, cod and haddock pieces,scampi with fries. Firstly they could have been prepped differently (all fried in bread crumb) all looked and tasted like scampi, and portion not worth £13, the kiddies had Mac and cheese filled croquettes? No idea what "cheese" this was but nothing I've ever tasted before. Bloody horrible! however, the desert was out of this world! Had the chocolate torte. Amazing. All said the place does have a nice feel to it and staff are friendly enough

Just had yet another brilliant meal at Courtyard Barn. Whether you chose from the menu or the specials board you are guaranteed a brilliant meal. The service and the food are wonderful. Everyone is so friendly and it feels so relaxing, the food is exceptional that you have a wonderful evening without having to put any effort into the evening. The best place to have an evening out and especially having a meal out in the Bude area. Well worth a visit

Great pub food in a nice setting, lovely outdoor seating with heating so you dont have to move when the temperature drops. Live music playing in the bar from a local singer, very nice evening thank you. My partner had the scampi and I had the lasagne, both very tasty, good value food. Steaks and burgers enjoyed by our friends were good too!

We were staying at Wooda Farm campsite and visited the Courtyard Barn a couple of times during our stay. What a lovely facility within the confines of the complex, yet far enough away (a pleasant walk).We had a meal in the restaurant on our second visit. I chose the chicken in a blue cheese sauce and my wife had the seafood medley which was a variety of large pieces of fish in a dry light coated bead crumb.Both meals were excellent, vegetables (including Jersey Royal potatoes - yum) were freshly cooked and the whole experience was excellent. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Prices were really good valueMy only concern was the dessert I ordered seems a little meagre portion in size but it was delicious and to be honest, after the wonderful main course, it was enough.Apart from the campsite being one of the best we have stayed on, this facility only added to the holiday and we will definitely return.

A varied menu with daily specials providing dishes to suit all. What more does anyone want? After all we're all on holiday!

Stayed at Wooda Farm caravan site and visited the courtyard bar due to bad weather as we are fans of bbq when camping. Absolutely fantastic food at restaurant quality with pub prices. So much so we never lit our bbq again. Cannot say enough about the whole dining experience. Please visit during your stay at Wooda which is an amazing site and for the locals it must be the best place to eat by far !!!

Great food and service. For a small campsite bar it was great. Good choice of fresh food and real ales. Service can be a little slow at busy times, but to be fair you would get that anywhere!

We went as a group of six for an evening. In a lovely rural setting on an award winning caravan park, the bar is rustic and welcoming with plenty of space and full of character. The menu was varied and fresh . It was lovely to see such great fish on the menu and at very reasonable prices. I had the coquilles st jacques done three ways, but have to say the chorizo and scallop skewers looked incredible and the men couldn't fault their steaks, the ribeyes cooked to perfection. We spoke with the owner and she told us she has a unique charcoal grill called Mabrassa on which they cook everything. The flavour and moistness kept in the fish and meat was amazing. Recommended.

Had a wonderful meal at the Courtyard. I live locally and had heard about the great food and the charcoal grill oven they got last year and had been really keen to go for a meal. I am glad I went as I wasn't disappointed. We started with homemade marinated olives that were lovely and I had the chorizo, Scallops and prawn skewers. It was lovely and you could taste the charcoal grill giving it a lovely smokey but not over powering taste. My husband had the steak which was cooked on the grill which he loved and my friend had scallops three ways which I want to have next time. I will include the photos. Lovely evening and great food.

Excellent food and friendly service in beautiful setting with outside courtyard seating area and play areas for the kids.

Staying in the campsite we ate here. Basic menu choice even with the specials board. Loud music which was unnecessary.I had the garlic prawns, the bread roll advertised with them did not turn up and I had to ask for a bowl for the shells and other entrails. The salad leaves they were served with were droopy and soggy so I left them. The chips and onion rings were ok.The most annoying thing was the staff having a meeting at the bar, especially when being served they continued chatting which is rude. (My receipt said served by Emily). Sorting out next weeks rota apparently, just what I always wanted to know.Also the ladies bathroom had no hot water, the taps weren't even working.The dinner also gets carried around outside before coming to your table, don't know how far, I didn't want to think about it really and the food wasn't covered over either.Wouldn't bother eating here again and wouldn't recommend it, no chance of just a quiet drink either as the music blasts inside and out.
