Just celebrated husband’s 50th birthday with a family meal and it was perfect! staff were amazing and food was yummy. Thank you all

Went with children and grandparents. Well priced, generous portions and really good quality, tasty food (the ribs and chicken is definitely for you if you've got eyes bigger than your belly!). Will definitely be coming again when we're in the area 👍

Very good food. Huge portions. There is a limited choice of ales, generally all mainstream stuff, Neck Oil etc, these are quite pricey too. However if you're into your food and don't mind drinking something mainstream then it's a good pub.

I booked a room for a Wake. the staff were very friendly and sociable. Food was very good. I was pleased with everything. would highly recommend it in every way.

We live 5 doors away from this place which is lethal as we love the food, drink and staff so much! Definitely couldn't recommend enough and if you can get down there for Thursday night curry you're in for a cheap but tasty treat.

We love The Cottage. To be fair it is our local, so it is very convenient for us, but the food and staff are great. There’s always a welcoming vibe whenever we go.

We had our Bowls Club Christmas Dinner at the Cottage, the staff were excellent , friendly and very attentive. The food was awesome, clearly very fresh ingredients and piping hot which makes a change from other places. Vegetables were offered in abundance and anything requested was provided with no hesitation. Very satisfying meal, great atmosphere and lovely staff. We will happily return!

Our first visit to this pub/restaurant and it was excellent. We went for a late Sunday lunch and the food was great - very generous portions. Vegan options available - the nut roast was very tasty. Staff attentive and very friendly.

What a disappointing meal with friends. There were six of us in total & we were sat at a table that 4 would sit on, we asked if we could have a bigger table & were told ‘they cram you in like this so more people come’ we weren’t impressed to say the least. Our food arrived 3 of us had curry with the extras, the other 3 ate off of the main menu but every dish came with a side which was impossible to fit it all on the small table, we had to move stuff off the table & put on the floor, even our drinks which isn’t the ideal thing. One had the pork curry which was very dry with no sauce, 2 had the Thai green curry, bland with not much flavour & onion bhaji’s were very greasy, at least the other. 3 people had no complaints about their food. One of us had the Bakewell slice for dessert, again disappointing burnt on the top & was very dry so couldn’t eat, we did mention this to the waitress but again it fell on deaf ears, not an enjoyable evening & when you spend £120 you expect to enjoy it

Fancied a Sunday lunch, too much hard work to cook for one, so had one delivered from The Cottage. absolutely scrumptious. Plenty of Turkey, stuffing, sausage and huge Yorkshire pudding. Vegetables, roast potatoes and mash, loads of gravy. One disappointment I couldn’t eat it all lol . 😋😋😋 but won’t go to waste! Why cook? 😁 well worth the money.

Sorry but this is a hygiene “ NO No” Using the same glass again Customers walking back to the bar with their glasses and the staff reusing them . The beer spout lays on the inside of the glass where people saliva has sat . Not good practice Yuk Plus all the locals stand up the bar and you have to fight your way in ! Why do that . Make the bar area free , less intimidating . Under control Staff were very polite though 👍

What a find!! Excellent food and lovely friendly staff. Never been here before but we’ll definitely be returning. We all had something different to eat and all our meals were extremely tasty and there was loads of it! Brilliant.

We hosted a baby shower here today and it was truly amazing. Ian was very helpful and flexible with all the planning, our afternoon tea was incredibly delicious. Holly, their waitress even helped us setup a balloon arch! Thank you for making this day so special for everyone 💗

Local pub off the main road in some gardens. The pub has a main bar area, dining room and large outdoor area. Small selection of beers including 3 real ales on hand pump. The food is outstanding: one of the best places in Norwich for British pub food.

I went for afternoon tea for my birthday treat with 5 friends. I am a vegan. The food given to me had no thought out into it at all the amount of food was pitiful and a 5 year old could have done it. 4 tiny cheese and tomato sandwiches, 3 tiny vegan sausage rolls 2 chocolates and a 55p nomo chocolate bar. My friends food was a smorgasbord of delights. 5 choices of cakes cheese and fruit scones. Jam cream huge sausage rolls and 5 different types of cakes. To make matters worse I emailed a complaint and was totally ignored. I didn't complain on the day as it was my birthday treat.

As always had a great meal in our local. Surf and turf burger with loads of prawns on top. Great quality food and a friendly service. Not expensive either. Well worth a visit.

Had a do here on the 8th of august for my sons funeral. We arrived here at about 1 to 1.30 . After having a very emotional funeral. The food we ordered did not come out till 3 to 3.30 . Some people had left so had not had even a sandwich. Food when came out was not the best . Lots of food left over because of late delivery . I have always liked this place but feel let down . Have used them on 4 other occasions and it’s been good . This time I can say it was bad . Think it could only be not enough staff or they just wanted to make money on the bar . Definitely will not use them again not on that service . Emailed them had no answers as yet

So pleased to have excellent local pub close by. The service is always extremely friendly and efficient, lovely food at reasonable prices, definitely worth booking a table as they often are booked which can only be a positive thing.

Have only visited The Cottage as part of a wedding reception so couldn't comment on individual meals, but the buffet was very good, generous sized portions. The onion bhajis were excellent as were the meaty sausage rolls. Staff were welcoming and cheerful and very helpful.

Drinks pricey 11.80 for 2 pints . Food looked good

Visited here on a Tuesday evening for a family birthday meal. There were 11 adults and 2 children and we each had different meals. Large variety of meals on the menu and all food was served to us quickly and piping hot. Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Meals were fantastically portioned best we've had out in a while and very well presented. Will definitely be returning here. Thankyou all so much.

We have bought Take away Sunday roasts from here. They are reasonable quality and value. They are always, however, let down by the roast potatoes.

Visited the cottage last night and received the warmest greeting and service from all staff visiting our table. The food is plentiful and very tasty - good home cooked food. I live locally and after several disappointing visits to other pubs in TSA will not go anywhere else. Well done the Cottage team - we love you x

I believe this was our first Curry night at The Cottage and we were blown away by the food. Family and friends devowed various curries all at a fantastic price of £6.95 + £4 for the extras which included s naan 2x samosas 2x onion bargis and 2x popadoms. Personally I ate the Chicken Katsu Curry and was amazed at the quality and portion size. As usual we were well looked after by the helpful and friendly staff.

Good food at reasonable cost. Friendly staff. The premises are a bit old-fashioned in style, but get that it is called The Cottage.

First time we had visited. Had a meal with friends and we were all very impressed. Food was lovely and so were the staff . We will Definitely be returning later this month.

What a great pub, fantastic food, fantastic staff, dog friendly as well..lovely owners allowed us to park our motorhome overnight as well, what's not to like...well worth a visit.

Looking for a takeaway on Friday evening and was suprised to see the cottage doing takeaway meals. So I phoned up at 5pm staff friendly and confirmed they do takeaway meals. Phoned back and placed our order and what time we would like to collect. Arrived and collected meal at chosen time, meals wrapped up and piping hot. Got home meals well packed and sealed and food still hot. Delicious meals and fantastic value for money. Would definitely recommend. Thankyou so much.

Always a pleasure to eat here...As our previous reviews show we come back often...Why? Because it's just so good! Quality, quantity and great value for your money...Thats only the beginning... The Management, chefs and staff leave nothing to chance. A great meal and a lovely dining experience...Today my Ribeye Steak was cooked to perfection and my wife had a lovely Black and Blue Chicken Breast. Keep up the good work and we promise to visit again soon.

Lovely meal as always, We had the vegan Enchiladas. They were 2 huge Enchiladas plus chips. The Enchiladas was nicely spiced. The server asked if I wanted vegan cheese on them. Don't alway get asked this. Plenty to eat. We also had the scampi and the ribs. Both were delicious but wasn't sure why the ribs had peppers on it. But tasted fab. Good price with really friendly staff.

Afternoon tea with friends, £12.95 pp good value for what we received, one cuppa each unless you choose to pay for the 'bottomless' version, which is £15 pp.

So sorry went to wrong pub I'm not familiar with the area did apologise to the host. Going to brewery tap on sat will definately be there!

What a bad experience. My daughter & I went with friends to have a roast meal. The whole thing was awful. The table was too small for five people, it should have been six. The plates arrived. They were far too small for the army sized portions of food. We had roast beef. The meat was tough, the unserrated knives had a problem getting through it. Burnt Yorkshire puddings were balanced on top of the meat, sausage, stuffing, carrots, cauliflower cheese. Separate bowls with huge amounts of other vegetables arrived. A large portion was left. This is the second time we’ve eaten here. We had cottage pie many months ago & I was ill after it. Needless to say, we shan’t return.

Hadn't been here before, booked a table for a birthday lunch with the family, which just happened to fall on mothers day. we specifically booked here because the menu on the website was quite varied & had so many good vegetarian & vegan options, so even though we expected there may be a different menu for mothers day we thought there would be at least a couple of plant based options, after all its not unusual to be vegetarian or vegan nowadays! when we arrived we were each given a single sided sheet of a4 paper which was the mothers day menu, very limited options, nothing vegan AT ALL & no vegetarian mains! we asked the young waitress who took our drinks orders if there was a main menu we could order from & she just said "this is the menu" & asked if we wanted to hear about the meats! we asked her if there were any meat free options & she really didn't seem to know what to say to us! we felt like we were being a nuisance just for not wanting meat! if we hadn't been with my inlaws we would have just left we felt so unwelcome! in the end an older lady came to take our order & gave 2 vegan options for the main course, I ordered a vegetable tart which was quite nice, & everyone else made do with fish, I ended up skipping dessert because everything on the menu had dairy & I already felt like I was being a nuisance! overall even though the staff we saw were polite & helpful it was a very disappointing experience, I felt so unwelcome! very disappointed that there wasn't even one meat free main meal on the menu! really ruined the day for me probably wouldn't go back which is a shame because it seemed a nice place.

Always a pleasure to eat and drink in this establishment. Ian and his staff make everyone feel so welcome and he has the best staff, kitchen and bar to give a high quality dining experience.

Went to The Cottage for their curry night, the price is amazing! £6.95 for the curry and £4 for the sides which consisted of 2 popadoms, 2 veg samosas, 2 onion bahjis and 1 naan! The curry was good, not the best but it was good! I had Eton mess for desert and that was good too!

Fantastic place to go, foods always great and lovely staff

Visited with family and the dog for Sunday lunch. They have a table that allows dogs at the restaurant, its just slightly separated but works well. We all had roasts which were large portion sizes and good value for money. Small thing was the gravy could have been a bit tastier but was not a major issue. Excellent service from the friendly waiting staff.

We went here today for lunch. Never been before but were really impressed by the food and the service which was outstanding. Friday lunchtime and the pub was pretty full. We weren't quite sure of where to sit and a young fella came over, found us a table and brought some menus. All the serving staff were young, friendly and really smartly dressed. The pub was warm and welcoming and it's easy to see why it's so busy. We both ordered the steak and kidney suet pudding which was delicious, served with good veg and very hot. Good selection of real ale. An excellently managed local pub.

Absolutely wonderful bottomless afternoon tea, extremely reasonable for as many refills of drinks as you like and plenty of food in fact so much so we had to bring some home for tomorrow. Staff attentive, food delicious, restaurant very clean and tidy. Will be returning...
