We came for drinks as we are locals to the area - we were not attempting to do the 10 before 10 challenge at all. After 3/4 half pints my partner and I went outside for a cigarette and were accosted by an elderly lady who told us she was the owner. Despite telling us we were okay to go inside and finish our drinks she followed us inside and harassed our table, attempting to force us to leave. The friends that I was with had gotten another round while we were having a cigarette and one of the young male bartenders accused us of lying and being drunk unruly guests after only 3/4 drinks and despite the venue being packed with university students. Overall a very negative experience and I felt me and my partner were stereotyped for being effeminate while having a cigarette because the manager was quite pleasant until that point. Would not recommend when there are many more accepting pubs that offer the same special cider.

Seems you cant get decent cider in Clifton anymore. It’s a Thatchers pub, which is fine when you arent near the cider Mecca of the UK. Do e cask cider or boxes of cider. The fizzy stuff isn’t good enough. Yes, you have the 8% house cider, but there is plenty of middle ground between this and thatchers

Have never understood the hype around this place, there is never any seating, people loiter the bar making it hard to order. I'm not a huge cider drinker but I believe their signature cider is only known for students to get blackout drunk off and wouldn't be ordered nearly as much otherwise. With so many pubs in walking distance from the Coritap I'm afraid to say I could never myself choosing to go to Coronation Tap again.

I live next to this pub and kids are constantly coming out of it, whether a weekday or a weekend, screaming and yelling down the road- someone is wretching and vomiting into a bin right outside my window as I write this. I’m a student and I like to go out often, so I understand people just want to have fun, but this place has no respect for anyone who lives nearby or the human decency to just tell customers to be a bit quieter.

The Corrie was a brilliant place when I lived in Bristol 40-odd years ago, and remained so for long after, but now it's "just another pub", even though it still does scrumpy (rough cider) straight from the barrel. No atmosphere, no hand pumped beers - it used to do a good pint of Directors - so for people of my vintage, it's a pub best left in the memory. Very sad.

Visited Bristol last week with one of my main reasons for drinking Cider, so naturally in looking for places to visit beforehand found this place and by the descriptions sounded like my kind of place! Arrived however and opening times did not match what is on Google (Was a Thur and opened at 7 not half 5). The interior is really nice, was greeted when arrived and was served quickly, music was not what I was expecting, asked if the barrels behind the bar had anything in them but was told they are just for show, saw Thatchers Stans pump which is okay was told they dont sell it anymore. Only other Cider was Thatchers varieties - Gold, Haze, couple of fruity ones - No still Ciders available except their own one they fill a glass from a jug, I gave it a try. Drank it quickly then headed back to the many other Cider pubs in Bristol. Inside was nice however not worth the trip if your into your cider

Really disappointed by this pub :( I’m a big cider fan and had heard a lot about The Cory Tap so I took an Uber out to visit on a Saturday night. The bouncer and the woman behind the bar were both unwelcoming and abrupt. Their own “Exhibition” cider wasn’t great and they had them pre poured on the side in plastic cups. The other ciders were all brands you could find in the supermarket eg Thatchers. I didn’t use the toilets but I’m glad looking at the other reviews! Better off going to The Apple or The Stables for a good selection and nicer atmosphere.

I've not been back to Bristol since and have raved to friends and family about the place for years. Disappointing therefore to find that although relatively unchanged there is no longer any natural cider and in fact on Friday when we visited there was effectively no dry cider in service. The staff here, particularly Jan and the blonde bouncer, are incredibly rude and unwelcoming. Having said upon arrival that our friends were meeting us there, Jan placed us on a 2 person table and explained that we could add stalls once our friends arrive. This is not what happened. Instead, Jan refused to seat them. When I tried to explain that these were our friends she became rude and argumentative, telling me that I was a drunk little girl that shouldn't be telling her how to run her pub. She purposefully rose her voice to embarrass us in front of the other customers and finished her rant by taking off her mask so we could see her face, which is highly unprofessional considering the current COVID situation. Jan's, and the bouncer's, attitude towards women is frightening; telling my friends that they should 'smack our bottoms'. To add, I watched as the only girl of a group of friends was kicked out whilst the more drunk lads were permitted to stay -- highly sexist and misogynistic attitude. Jan unfortunately has a very cold demeanour, giving the pub an unfriendly atmosphere to paying customers. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and it's clear that those working here, whom are all over the age of 65, are very backwards thinking with women and foreigners the main targets of their rudeness.

Such a lovely vibe, with friendly staff and delicious food. The best fish and chips I've had in a very long time!

Had an amazing English Breakfast. The place was buzzing, a really nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodated a change I requested in my order with no hassle. Coffee was excellent. Really good solid cafe doing what it does well. Worth popping in for sure.
