Staff are unfriendly - the one in Camborne is better. Parking is v limited. But their pastys are my favourite.

Recommended, went twice in a week whilst on holiday. Tried traditional and chicken, both excellent preferred traditional. Shame pasties not available for first hour or so, would have pick one up before travelling for lunch.

Popped into here as we were staying locally and bought a few pasties. The pasties were a good size, lovely flaky pastry and delicious filling. Very reasonably priced and a good choice of fillings. Would recommend.

My favourite pasty for the occasional treat. I prefer the shortcrust but there is a flakey pastry option.

Had for take-away mixed veg pastie and a chicken one, Both were good size and tasted OK and reasonably priced. Service wasn't done with a smile, which is a shame !

Visiting my daughter, son in law and grandchild in Illogan I ws keen to try the local (Cornish) cuisine. On our way back from the park I spotted the Cornish Oven and the lovely smell tempted me in. Lovely cheese pasty, thank you.

We used to love popping in here when we were in Truro, you would be lucky to get a seat but now it’s take your pick. In a nutshell the place has lost its soul.

Festive Afternoon Tea this afternoon was very disappointing. It is clearly a stop gap to keep income trickling in between Sunday lunch and evening dinner service. The biggest issue is with the service, very inattentive, unconcerned staff not in the slightest bit interested in providing a professional level of attention. The afternoon tea was acceptable but not exactly delightful let alone memorable or to be recommend to others. Delightful setting with the hotel beautifully appointed and well decorated for Christmas, just a pity the staff were not switched on at all. Management at fault and it would appear no investment made in staff training.

For a spot of lunch, my wife and two children decided to eat here. Never again. We settled on the beef style kebabs (on a skewer). With rice. The beef was tough, tastless, rough and badly cooked. I was a butcher, I should know! Rice was microwaved but still undercooked! The salad that came with it was soggy, rotten and floppy. The best part of the meal was the kids fish goujons. We spent 70 quid (including drinks) on some of the worst food I've eaten.
