Great place. Excellent service and very helpful and friendly staff

Nice enough place to grab tasty pasty snack / lunch and a drink. It was busy on a Saturday afternoon.

Tried a chicken bacon toasties, it was ok, but i tried it.

Amazing coffee, great service and lovely staff. Always helpful, pasties baked to perfection!

Great cafe/ bakery with fab homemade pasties. It not only does tasty traditional Cornish pasties but also quirky veg options like cauliflower and coriander. Yum.

The cappuccino is ok but expensive. To charge £1.40 for an extra shot is excessive. The chocolate cake was ok. We overheard the discussion between the customer in front of us and a member of staff. It shows how this company sees it's customers. The customers had bought two pasties and drinks. The bill came to almost £20 and he paid. He then asked for a tomato ketchup sachet. He was told that he had to pay extra for that sachet. I don't know what other customers would think if they had heard that but I won't be visiting Cornish Bakery again.

Generally all good. Good location

A busy spot brimming with pasties and queues for pasties. While the sweet pastries were good, not great, the pasties rightly stole the show. Of the 4 I tried, the best was the Beef & Chipotle (too many tame fillings within the most robust of jackets in my opinion). Service was confused. I could sense rage within the queue for hot drinks, which couldn't keep up with the pasties being dashed into paper bags. 15 minute wait for a cappuccino. Others in the queue waited a similar amount of time. The Christmas spirit softened the blow, fortunately.

FINALLY SOME GOOD COFFEE IN BURY ✨ tried Edmundos, John’s, Wright’s and this is the best so far by a mile - thank you! My only critique is that it was perhaps a touch too hot, but it was very rich & flavourful nonetheless!

It wasn't my first visit and every time it is as good as the first one 😊 great coffee and tasty croissants in a nice place, made feel welcome by everyone ☺️ good start to a new day

Really disappointed that when I found a large piece of paper towel cooked into my food the staff were apologetic but not concerned about how it might affect someone wanting to eat anything there again. What's it worth to them? The cost of the item apparently, and not a penny more. I would want to make sure anyone that had had that experience left the shop properly compensated and happy. I left hungry and slightly sick. An odd experience.

Coffee lovely - cheese scone served cold and butter much too hard to spread so ended up with a pile of crumbs on my plate which I could not eat sadly- maybe offer to warm scone when ordering !

I might work here but this looks the best place ever.

Overwarmed pasty, rock hard, tables not cleaned, dirty toilet and not enough staff, clearly the problem for most of the above. Will not return.

This photo was taken mere seconds before the packet of brown sauce exploded under the merest hint of pressure from my clumsy hands, coating the pasty, the table, my phone and anybody else who happened to be in a nuclear blast zone range of Bury St Edmunds. On the plus side, the staff were brilliant at helping get me cleaned up, the pasty was delicious (if a little brown saucy) and the hot chocolate very nice indeed. Go on. Treat yourself. Just go easy on the sauce...

Great place to watch the world go by, study or meet. Food is what I call proper pastry!

Fresh and vibrant, visited for the first time today. Lovely selection of food and drinks. Would give more stars but unfortunately you don't accept cash. We went to pay with cash and felt awkward to be told it's card only. Please don't alienate people who would prefer to use their cash to make payment. Thanks for your reply about my feedback.... but I think you must have missed my main point that you don't take cash. Your food was nice and I'll visit again if you decide to accept cash. Really doesn't make business sense not to take someone's cash but instead lose a sale or a customer.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great selection of pasties, sweets and drinks. Solid vegan selection.

Stopped past today, the coffee was burnt and bitter, pasties were average bordering on dried out, had to clean our own table and the 1 toilet was just acceptable, a premium to be paid for eating in did not justify the extra cost I won’t be returning or recommending

It’s my first time visiting the Cornish bakery and I can’t fault it..! The staff were so helpful and the pasty’s are amazing 5 stars

Lovely for a light lunch. Or for a coffee meet up with a sweet treat. Bright and airy, with numerous window tables to watch the world go by. Nice addition to the town.

A great place to stop and watch the world go by. Probably the best hot chocolate money can buy. The bakers rendition of agadoo is worth the visit alone. All the staff are amazing

New store Bury St Edmunds, never been to a Cornish Bakery before and will definitely be returning. The food was amazing especially the Cornish pudding, we all had something different and it was all delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, a very welcome addition to our town.

The pastry is so nice has a great texture and could thank enough for the staff they were so polite and where able to help me with anything I needed felt safe couldn’t thank enough

Was the best experience!!! This bakery was very clean and the customer service was outstanding we had a lovely gentleman Dan serve us and he made us feel so welcome! The taste of everything was perfection!! Cannot fault, really recommend.

First experience of the Cornish Bakery, whilst the food was absolutely delicious, 2 large pasties, 3 pastel de nata, Cornish pudding and a Danish pastry, the lady who served me seemed really irritated that l had mistakenly thought that the pastel de nata were gluten free! She all-but sighed when l realised that they were vegan, my mistake. The assistant at no time smiled or tried to make light of my mistake, ln the matter of 3 minutes l had been made to feel totally stupid and belittled, as much as l loved the products l will not use the shop again.

the smell of Cornish bakery reaches right to the top of the street and makes it so difficult to walk passed. had the most lovely chai latte and sausage roll. warm tasty food and such friendly staff. will absolutely be recommending to friends and will visit again. :)

Quite hot in there and a queue for the loo appeared behind our table which was not great. A little pricey. Will try one of the other coffee shops for a balanced opinion.

Nice food, a bit expensive. We were told they didn't take cash or my mastercard. Luckily I had a visa. We eventually went to Greggs for our coffee dye to lack of space for a wheelchair

Unfortunately you can’t score lower than one. Will never return here again. it certainly isn’t a pram, mother and baby friendly place! It’s shocking that this day and age, as a mother I felt uncomfortable in your establishment.. tuts and groaning whilst I tried to get to a table to sit down.. I’ve never felt so embarrassed and out of place.. staff members clearly moaning between each other.. I sat down near the window and folded the pram and tucked it away behind a chair so it wasn’t in the way .. maybe some, Work should be done on customer service.. clearly not on anyone’s top priority in your company.. maybe your staff was right.. I would be better suited “round the corner at greggs” they certainly have much more variety for a vegan..

Cornish bakery has turned me into a pasty addict. All their pasties and cakes are great. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere in their is great.

I come in a couple of times a week and am always happy to get the best coffee in Bury made by the best barista in Jen!

A really lovely new coffee shop , all food home made, yes bit pricey but delicious, and now get free coffee on a reward card, always nice and clean , we choose to go there now rather than our usual Costa Coffee. Well worth a visit great place.

Where it says steak, be aware you will recieve stewing steak, most of us know what stewing steak is like when not stew! Anyone that's ever had a proper Cornish pasty, expect to be disappointed! Also, cashless in a market town (literally on top of the market) is just woke snobbery at it's finest! Stop the gentrification of Bury now!

Nice bright space, polite and helpful staff, Really yummy savoury and sweet eats. Great stuff! Just devouring their brushetta sandwich thing, and it's got sooo much flavour! I love it when the veggie option is as good as the rest of it. Hooray!

Visited with my 3 year old grandson, who is a bit of a handful! One of the staff members took the time to amuse him while I got our food! There was a queue to the door when I arrived but the service was speedy and efficient, with little wait time. The food itself was lovely and I would highly recommend a visit.

A favourite morning coffee/croissant stop. Airy, clean cafe with lots of window seats for people watching. Lovely, helpful and friendly staff. Lots of delicious (made in bakery) food. Have recommended to friends.

Lovely place to eat! The food is gorgeous, the pasties are amazing but everything looks delicious! Lovely that it is all baked on the premises too. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. It is very light and airy and it's great being able to sit by the windows and people watch! Definitely my go to place when I'm in Bury and fancy a bite to eat or a coffee 🙂

What a lovely, friendly and funny bunch of people! Knowledgeable and helpful, polite and efficient. The sweet bakes are delicious- the Cornish pudding is an absolute must! The best coffee we have ever had which is why we can’t go more than a week without a visit! Keep up the fantastic work everyone, and we’ll see you again very soon!

Friendly engaging staff - Welcoming Atmosphere with variety of comfortable seats - Coffee was excellent - we are fussy with our lattes! the traditional and vegetable pasties were delicious - pastry was excellent with an actual homemade good cook taste and the meat in the traditional pasty was well cooked melted in your mouth. We will definitely visit again and again!

Very new but lacking character, food tasty, service a little slow. Overall an enjoyable experience

On entering this looked a beautiful place, the man behind the counter was very polite and friendly, not the same could be said for the girl making and serving the coffee not a polite person at all, no acknowledgement or anything. The coffee was just put on the tray and move on.dont think we shall be going back again, and the coffee was like mud undrinkable.

We had Cornish pasties - various flavours available in addition to the traditional. Staff were friendly and chatty and were happy to advise people/make suggestions. They were also happy to provide tap water. Food was great, tasty, good temperature and sauces were offered (which were Stokes, so good quality!). Cash free which isn't easy for some of the older clientele to get their heads around (it was market day...)

Had some lovely grub there, very hearty and delicious! Atmosphere was great! my husband enjoyed his coffee and his toastie! will definitely come back!

I've returned to the bakery a few times and am very delighted to say that the service has improved a lot. The food is excellent as always, and the seating is comfortable. A nice place to come for a spot of lunch, love the big windows so you can watch the world go by. Even better with a hot tasty cheese and onion pasty to munch on!

Such a lovely bakery with lovely servers and atmosphere. Feels very homey and cosy. The servers helped me was a young chap and older guy who was the manager. The decor is great and bright and so was the faces I saw when I walked in. The pasties were delicious, especially the cauliflower onion bhaji! Great place will come back! :)

I had a wonderful lunch here the other day, I had the roast chicken, stuffing, chilli jam and cheese toasty and it was WONDERFUL. I highly recommend it to anyone going! the staff were so lovely and welcoming too which made my visit even better! I will be returning and if you haven’t been yet go!

Went in last Sunday, I had the best customer service of my life from Elaine, who was lovely, friendly and made me feel like someone actually cared for me, I really need someone badly, the nights are getting lonely, but the Cornish bakery is only place I can feel happy
