Best eggs I have ever tasted! Came here with a friend who lives locally. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast. The sausages were lovely and the eggs were the freshest, tastiest eggs I have ever had!

I enjoyed a REALLY lovely afternoon tea with my aunt and sister. I can honestly say it was better than similar teas my husband and I have had at The Ritz and The Savoy! The plates were all crammed with tasty deliciousness and no two treats were the same. We all had leftovers from our savoury plates to box up because we were full - and then came the sweet plates! Oh my very goodness - all 3 of us brought stuffed boxfuls of delights home. The hubster was certainly in for teatime treat when I got home! Mr Wheale was an attentive and charming host - and Mrs Wheale is clearly a VERY accomplished baker. We will definitely go back.

We had a huge pot of tea for two (3 cups each) and a nice plate of food with buttered toasts. My partner took the avocado muffin which had pea leaves in it and was awesome too. The food was really good and the setting and dishes pretty (there is even a garden space). The only downside was the noise from the cars passing down the road which was a bit overwhelming for me, but the waitress closed the door when I asked her and then it was much better.

Avocado and smoked salmon on toast was yummy. So too was the omelette. A lovely little place full of nik naks to buy. Friendly and attentive service from a lovely young man. It will now become my favourite place to eat .

Friendly staff with a large menu choice including all day breakfasts. Outside seating available and road bike 🚴‍♂️ friendly.

Fantastic breakfast food top quality and cooked to perfection. If you haven’t visited then you’re missing out. Staff very pleasant and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They sell lots of antiques etc inside which is lovely as well so unique.

Love this cafe! My veggie sausage baguette was lovely. Staff are fabulous, they go above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble.

Had a superb Sunday Lunch. When booking we were asked what meats we would like and we were not disappointed. The portions were good and the selection of vegetables had something for everyone.

I recently visited The Corner Cafe and had an absolutely delightful experience. The omelette I ordered was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavour and filled with fresh ingredients with loads of cheese that as oozing perfectly. The Eggs Royale were a culinary masterpiece, with perfectly poached eggs atop a bed of smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce that was creamy and rich. However, what truly set this experience apart was the exemplary service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction-thank you so much Charlie, wife and team. The ambiance of the cafe was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. I can’t wait to return and indulge in more of their delicious offerings. Other customer were enjoying the most amazing looking afternoon teas that we will return to sample. Highly recommended!

We came to The Corner for Afternoon Tea and it was absolutely brilliant. I can’t recommend it enough. The selection of savoury delights was fantastic - way better than a few sandwiches - and the cakes were gorgeous. The ambiance is lovely and the fact that you can also browse and buy from the selection of great nik-naks they have there was a nice finishing touch.

My husband had booked an afternoon tea here for two for my special birthday. When we arrived, the whole family was there so nine of us in total, including an 8 year old. From the very start, Charlie and his team could not do enough for us. They took my magnificent box of flowers off to a safe, cooler place. They catered for the youngster. Even when he was told JUST as he was serving the absolutely scrumptious food that one of the party couldn’t eat dairy, he didn’t panic, just ran through some other delicious options which were produced very speedily. To say the afternoon teas were large definitely does them an injustice- they were huge! Charlie popped over at one point to remind us all there were cakes and scones etc to follow. We ended up taking 4 packed boxes home with us. Such a lovely treat made perfect by the lovely staff and the quality of the food. Go there when you are very hungry- you won’t be at the end!

Such friendly staff, warm atmosphere, interesting environment (with antiques for sale!) and delicious food. The cafe catered to various dietary requirements including vegan, vegetarian, gluten and lactose free. We had a wonderful baby shower there and would highly recommend this to anyone! The staff even boxed up the elements of the afternoon tea we were too full to finish. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Great place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Plenty to choose from on the menu and they accommodate dairy and gluten intolerances. The cafe is small and very popular so I would recommend booking a table.

We phoned ahead to ask if lunch items were still available (it was about 2pm). They assured us they were, and reserved us a table. The menu offered a very good choice of items and we all chose baguettes - it was possible to make tweaks to the contents! They arrived in good time, and were all delicious. The staff were lovely, and the cafe has lots of antiques which was interesting. We've driven past the cafe many times over the years - we'll now stop and call in!

We found this place by chance. We were in Walmer and Deal visiting from Essex for the weekend and spotted it as we drove past. Parked up and went in. We went back every day of our stay because it was so good. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent range of delicious food. They also gave water for our dog without us having to ask. Four of us had a late lunch at the Corner Cafe. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, everyone was very pleased with the delicious food and the atmosphere really added to the experience. We'd driven past many times - now we know we need to stop and enjoy!!

Charlie might remember us, we came in several times my sister in law and myself visiting from Australia and staying in Lavender cottage directly opposite the cafe. the food was very good, staff helpfull and cheerful and Charlie was a great host. We were never quick enough to book Sunday lunch but we will next time we visit.

Situated on the corner of a very busy road, so sitting outside is a bit noisy with the constant flow of traffic. There are a few tables inside which were clean and tidy, the place is small but the staff have managed to cater really well with the space they have available. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a pot of tea and a slice of cake, total £6, so average value. The cake was light and fluffy, and the there was ample tea in the pot. I visited about 2pm, and there were quite a few customers, so it it clearly a popular cafe, though it did not feel busy and rushed, so the staff are clearly used to this and served well. The cafe is between Walmer and Deal, just up the road from Deal castle, so you may not come across it if you are visiting the touristy areas.

Excellent food and service. Had breakfast there 11 days out of our 14 day stay in the area. Lots of nearby street parking which was handy.

What an absolute gem! It doesn’t look anything special when you’re driving past but this is no “greasy spoon” the service is excellent, the food is superb and at sensible prices.

Only had coffee, drinks and cake here but the staff were so lovely and the food and drinks good and swiftly served. The decor is a bit old fashioned but it is spotlessly clean, we would love to go back for a main weal.
