Had breakfast here yesterday and it was amazing! Such a banging veggie fry up, the hash browns and sausages were some of the best. My fiancé had the eggs royale, also stunning. Lovely little spot to have our brekky before heading back to London. Friendly staff and overall a great experience. Would recommend to anyone considering a cosy and warm cafe with great food. Wasn’t impressed when they served toast that was mouldy with my english breakfast. Won’t be returning anytime soon. The staff couldn’t wait to clear away the evidence!

We used to come a lot when it was at a different venue in Horsham. No reason why we stopped coming (had a child and have less date nights) came for brunch today. Well what can I say the food is still amazing the staff were great. We would love to return for dinner again. Some of our old favorites were still on the menu. Keep up the good work

It was a busy lunch can be forgiven for messing up my daughter pizza but I did say twice can we have the meat feast pizza with just chicken & pepperoni but no it didn't so my daughter couldn't eat it she doesn't like bacon or ham I gave her my spaghetti bolognaise that was bloody lovely I feel cheated coz I got the pizza I was raw as Gordon ramsey says I couldn't eat it all it was a raw soggy mess I said something at the till but they did nothing so I just payed & left I don't think I will be back to have a pizza there again

My parents went on Monday and asked me to write a review. They both had breakfast and thought it was great value for money and very tasty. The service was great with very friendly staff.

We eat at the Comodor often and go back, again and again, because our experience is always EXCELLENT! The menu is varied and our choices are always beautifully cooked. In addition, the staff and management are really friendly and welcoming. We wholeheartedly recommend with no hesitation whatever!

I was a little bit gutted when bills were full and couldn’t squeeze me in (table for 1) the staff there were slightly blunt too. However once I found this little gem round the corner I was very happy I came here! Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Order taken promptly. Drinks arrived within a couple of mins and then food not long after. Good portion side and very filling! I had the full English which was lovely! I am so very glad I came here and actually prefer this place to Bills! The best place for brunch in Horsham!

Such a good and tasty breakfast. Cooked fresh. The coffee is one of the best in town and such good value. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Can’t do enough for you. We will be back soon.

Not only was the food ages arriving the burger was raw and had to be sent back, i had a caesar salad that didn't resemble a caesar salad no croutons. The coffees were bitter and weak, and also sent back.horrible and no one acknowledged this at all. Very embarrassed as my friend who was vising from Australia was very disappointed and felt quite sick afterwards moral of the story don't bother

First visit to The Comodor Cafe today at lunchtime with my husband. Friendly staff & great service. The full English breakfast was lovely. Large portions, very good quality ingredients & served quickly. As for the coffee - it was the best coffee my husband & I have ever had! Excellent value. We will be back!

Just been here with a friend & had the best breakfast I've had in years. Huge plate, great value, tasted great. Will definitely be back and will recommend. The staff were also lovely & friendly.

My friend and I visited for a leisurely Sunday full English breakfast. The food was lovely, fresh and plentiful! £9.95 with a drink of your choice which we thought was exceptional value. Staff and surroundings are great, you can’t go wrong!

We came here for lunch and very glad we did. Unreal good quality food, huge portions and great prices. My wife’s mushroom burger was massive, served with chips and side salad. I had a very filling ham and cheese omlette with chips. With drinks, totally full for just over £20 Nice cafe, quiet, clean tables and great management

From the moment i stepped into this lovely warm and inviting cafe i knew i was going to like it from the posters on the wall to the friendly staff. My wife and i went here for breakfast and im so glad we did. My wife had avacado on toast with egg and i had a full english breakfast. It was delicious. My wife enjoyed hers immensely and i throughly enjoyed mine too. Now i am a fussy eater because there are certain things i wont eat. Beans being numero uno. So i asked if i could get mushrooms instead that was not a problem and it was sorted out. The staff couldnt be more friendly and helpful. So if you want some hearty food that tastes great and makes you go literally mmm then go here you will not regret it.

I bring a special needs lady in to here. The staff are always so lovely and welcoming. We go most weeks. Food is good too. They are always helpful. Nothing is ever to much trouble. Highly recommend. 😃

We were a large group of over 20 who booked for luncheon and were given the whole upstairs area. This establishment doesn’t pretend to be ‘upmarket’ and prices are reasonable. The menu wasn’t comprehensive but still had good choices to keep everyone happy. Service was friendly and excellent. Much patience is required by serving staff when dealing with a large group such as ours and they coped admirably although the kitchen probably isn’t used to cooking for so many customers at once leading to delays in some receiving their meal.

Have been to this little gem in Horsham 3 times now, wish it was closer to home,I'd probably be there every week; the Sunday lunch is absolutely superb; plenty of it, beautifully cooked, tender meat and the most delicious gravy ever. YUMMY.

Had a lovely full English this morning, and the price includes a drink so very reasonable (£8.95). Forgot to ask if eggs can be done another way, came fried. I’ll definitely visit again, it was my first time. The menu has lots of variety.

£2.20 for a cup of tea. I have never felt so blatently robbed in all my life. Considering 1000 teabags is like £23, it means they are making 100x profit on each individual teabag. And the tea wasnt even that good. Food was good.

What a lovely place to eat!! The food choice was huge and we all got exactly what food we loved! I had a bacon and Stilton panini was tasted delicious and was a good size. Lovely friendly staff. Clean tables and nice decor.

Excellent food and excellent service. Good location, great place for lunch or afternoon tea. Used to visit the old Comodor on Friday and Saturday evenings for dinner and entertainment. Shame they no longer have an alcohol licence and live entertainment.

If you’re looking for sour dough, bagels, mashed avocado etc this is not the place but if you want a full English, scrambled eggs, panini etc you’ll get it here. Good value, something for everyone and quick service.

I come here a lot with my family and it is amazing! They always have great food for all of us. Not to mention a great breakfast menu. There is absolutely fantastic service and the staff are so kind. Would reccommend to all!

Often go here for a snack lunch. Always welcomed no more so than today when we had our 8 month old ggson with us. A high chair was quickly positioned. My wife and I had the smoke salmon and scrambled eggs. Excellent. We complimented this...

Called in for a light lunch and sat upstairs. Pleasant waitress who smiled but didn't speak much! Had a cup of tea (served with teabag floating in water in the cup) and a rather tasteless jacket potato with grated cheese filling. Nice little side salad...

I recently visited the Comodor for lunch. To say I was disappointed is an understatement! All the meals we ordered had an issue - Cold burger, over cooked steak, sloppy chilli spilling over the plate. Not good, won’t be going again.

Steak over done bad attitude and no sauce with steak asked twice. Won't go again. I would not recommend it.

My 88 year old dad loves it here! The food is not exciting but is exactly what is says on the menu and I always feel the staff could look happier at work. However you get a good cooked breakfast for a town centre place and the prices are quite good. There are not many other places in Horsham that are just normal cafes so if hungry then go here!

Italian cafe in Horsham. Very friendly staff and lots of choice on the menu. Ordered Stilton and bacon sandwich on brown bread with chips. Bacon and Stilton filling was very nice but let down by very ordinary bread. Also ordered a cup of tea and that came with the tea bag in the cup and nowhere to put the tea bag except the saucer which means tea drips of the cup. A bit disappointing overall.

A good variety of food on the menu, which is mostly Italian, but they do English food too. We opted for a small roast dinner and that was plenty, and left room for a dessert. A good choice of puddings but do ask the waitress what else is on offer as they have other puddings available that aren’t on the menu. The place is quite busy, so I would recommend booking.

We have been to the Comodor both at the old and new location and it is still one of the best eateries in Horsham. No frills at all but wholesome good food, specialising somewhat in a full English breakfast, eggs, simple and tasty English fayre. Also good pasta dishes and the pizza looks pretty good too although have not tasted. So far we have always settled for the full English with a gratis cup of tea or coffee thrown in and at a very affordable price. One of the best things about the Comodor is the lady who is always there and has always been there for the past 4 or 5 years we have been going there. The other staff are also pleasant, welcoming and helpful. Seating is a bit cramped below but if you ignore that, you can eat well and cheaply at Comodor and its a very popular venue, always seemingly busy at any time.

I've been going here for many years and have never had a bad meal. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always the same faces too which shows good staff retention. The food is great and good value for money too. I'd recommend the full English breakfast.

overall it was very full when i arrived and found a table it was a squash with a pram but managed to get a table in a corner waited 5 mins for order to be taken then waited 5 mins for coffee to arrive at table

The people here are lovely and they are very welcoming so I always want to like the food, but unfortunately it’s not really up to much. Toast and coffee is great, but in my experience anything more is a bit bland and unremarkable. The menu is so vast that perhaps they can’t invest the time or ingredients in many of the dishes. Sandwiches served on thin cheap white bread, skinny/oily chips, flat salad. I’ve not tried the pizza so that could be good, and my mum likes their eggs, however.

I have never had a bad experience at this place. Staff are always friendly and very helpful. Food is always of good quality and very reasonably priced.

My son loves this place- I don’t! Really friendly service but I really don’t like unauthentic pizzas with “bought in “ bases. To top it all when I asked for ground pepper I was directed to a Happy Shopper cheap pepper..Ugh! I guess I will have to go again for my sons sake or persuade him to go to somewhere better.

I visited here on a whim when walking past as I fancied a coffee and had never been in before. The owner was outside smoking, but he invited me in to the empty venue and took my order at the table. He promptly made my flat white and brought it to my table, which was served with a caramelised biscuit.

A friend and I wanted a quick lunch in Horsham and this place had good reviews, so we tried it out. I had a panini and my friend had a toasted cheese sandwich. Both with chips, and all the food was just perfect. Prices were really reasonable and service was great. Will definitely return.

We didn't want a large meal, the local pubs seemed to have limited salads etc, so we came across this cafe, just off the beaten track. We had lovely salads, whereas my 93 year old father in law had a meal, it was too much for him, but they provided a take away tub. Excellent value and good, friendly service.

Two of us dropped in here for a breakfast - the full English, and were well pleased. Also, the coffe was great - exactly how I asked for it - strong and long. We'll return again and again for a weekend breakfast. Recommended.

We have walked past this place many times saying we must give it a try sometime....it always seemed busy.

The vegetarian breakfast is the full English without the bacon or sausage. They do not even have a vegetarian sausage to offer - how hard can it be? I would have had a plate of eggs mushrooms and a soggy tomato. They also don’t do hash browns. Will never return.

The Comdor is conveniently situated for the town center and serves up good food at reasonable prices - the full English being somewhat of a signature dish.

If you want a good, cheap and filling meal in Horsham this is definitely the place to go!! I was so impressed with the amount of different dishes that they have on their menu and they were at such a reasonable price. We were the only people in the restaurant which was such a shame because I place like this should be so much busier. I think what would help this place out would be advertising their menu on their website and maybe in the doorway of the restaurant as its hard to guess what sort of cuisine this restaurant is without seeing a menu. I would highly HIGHLY recommend this place!

Went along today for a lunch treat and it was absolutely delicious. I had vegetarian calzone, my son had the meat calzone and my Dad had spaghetti carbonara - all meals were faultless - good value for money, good service and will definitely be recommending to others and returning. Thank you!

Good little cafe if ur looking for a quick bite to eat and its really cheap. I always have the breakfast and it also comes with a coffee/tea/juice. My partner has had the burger which unfortunalty wasnt great so we will stick to the breakfast.

Enjoyed my real English Breakfast set comes with orange juice/coffee/tea. Value for money. Deliciously cooked and staffs are friendly and good service.

Very nice reasonably priced breakfast. Between us we had a full English (includes tea or coffee), poached eggs with hollaindaise sauce and an omelette. Entire menu was very comprehensive.

Have used this restaurant when it was at the old site. Now they have been here for a while is as it used to be. Had the beef as unfortunately sold out of lamb but was not disappointed as it melted in your mouth. All the other parts of the meal were great and plenty of gravey that you need with a roast. Service was quick and nice and valve excellent. The situation is great on the corner and now they have opened upstairs plenty of spaces but I would recommend booking especially on Sunday as it is always busy. Toilets are based downstairs and also to pay for card this is also down stairs.

Vine a este nuevo commodor con mi madre pensando que sería similar, pero era realmente decepcionado con lo que ha ido cuesta abajo. El servicio era apresurado y frío. En segundo lugar, la calidad de los ingredientes de las pizzas que pedimos eran tan baratos y grasos. La pizza grasosa y cubierto de queso barato que era "mozzarella" en el menú. Sé que el menú no es caro, pero prefiero pagar un poco más para algo más comestible y apetecible. Por desgracia no me volveré o recomendar como estaba tan insatisfecho con la experiencia! Es una pena.

Myself, my partner and 1 year old son visited The Comodor this afternoon and were very impressed. The staff were really kind and accomodating, they honestly couldn't of done any more for us. The menu was very good, it had a nice variety of options from all day breakfasts to jacket potatoes, pizzas and tapas. My partner went for a meat pizza which he enjoyed, it had plenty of meat on it too unlike in some other places we have visited. Our toddler had the scrambled egg on toast, we were asked if he would like 1 or 2 slices of toast which I thought was nice. I had a tuna and cheese jacket potato which was nice, they gave a good amount of topping. The meal wasn't expensive either, it was just over £20 for 2 drinks, and 3 good sized meals. We would definitley recommend.

The Comodor is in a quirky older building set over two floors. It's a restaurant that's quite hard to categorise. One side of the menu is a typical local cafe doing breakfasts etc. The other side has a very extensive Mediterranean inspired Tapas / Pizza / Pasta menu. There are also 'bars' on both floors which give the feel of a late night venue. Lovely views from the North facing window on the first floor. The prices are good, but you do get what you pay for. Don't expect top quality ingredients. The pizza was surprisingly good and much cheaper than a typical chain Italian. The staff are brilliant. Service is quick and friendly, but not to the extent that you feel rushed. I will return to try the Sunday lunch.

We needed breakfast and found this place, midday on a Sunday and absolutely jam packed. In we went and fortunately they have a second floor. I had the full English and my friend had an omelette and despite the fact that the place was heaving we didn't have to wait long until till two steaming plates of tasty warm deliciousness arrived. The service and coffee was spot on. Interestingly people around us were already on Sunday lunches which I have to say looked really good. The value was excellent, less than £20, unheard of in the south! Overall I was really taken by this place and repeat visits are not a question.

My wife, son and I had breakfast there last Saturday 14th January. The food and coffee were excellent and great value for money. The staff were very friendly as well. We will definitely be going there again!

Didn't know what to do for New Year's Eve and so booked here as local to us and so glad we did. Many people say how good value it is (which I certainly agree with) but that's doesn't detract from the food which as always is very good. Unbelievably they did not increase their food or drinks price which I thought was really nice of them. Had a singer and a full restaurant which made it a lively enjoyable night.Definitely will be back, highly recommend.

I had the roast salmon with garlic pesto and chips. You just have to try the non-alcoholic cocktail called "Cinderella" ! The food was excellent and very well priced. Just the place for a quick lunch on a modest budget. The only downside I have to mention is that I was part of a large group and my seating was very tight resulting in me feeling very squashed. For this very reason I couldn't wait to finish my meal and leave. Also bear in mind that when you pay, the gratuity is already included in the price. My table did a collection for a tip for the servers without realising this. Oh well, it's Xmas, and maybe they deserve a little bonus ! I will definitely be back now, because the new location is much better. There is also loads of seating upstairs. The menu is comprehensive, mainly pasta / pizza / fish with a few other options. Value for money. Not something you get these days.

We popped into this restaurant which has recently moved to new premises close to the historic heart of Horsham near The Carfax. We received a warm welcome at the simply but pleasantly furnished ground floor and were served by a most pleasant waitress. We ordered a range of Tapas, including Potato Brava, Meat Balls, Chorizo, White Bait and some olives. All were very enjoyable with the meat Balls and chorizo both being in a spicy sauces. The restaurant seems popular with older people. The coffees were of a good standard. A nice place to visit as a break from a shopping trip

Lunchtime food ok for the prices but £1.90 for a coffee cup of tea is very poor value. Tea cups and tea pots should be standard.

The Comodor has now moved and taken possession of what was The Centre in South Street (almost in Carfax). Again, it is a two floor restaurant which must mean their staff have strong legs to climb the stairs many times a day. But they always seem cheerful and helpful.I enjoyed the All-day breakfast with a cup of tea and a copy of AAH mag to read and recommend this restaurant.

Four of us popped in for breakfast on Sunday, with a baby in pram. The staff were patient and helpful. We had 2 full English, bacon toastie and eggs benedict and various beverages and they were all good and also good value. We'd definitely come again.

Visited in Sun 16 Oct 16, recovering a bit from the night before, needed and ordered my all day breakfast, saw the the Sunday Roasts coming out and thought I should change my order..I dint and I wasn't disappointed. Breakfast was top notch, now I need to find another reason to go back for the roast. Nice mix of characters and all ages. They're moving next week so will be back to see their new environment.

We usually visit for breakfast and it's really good value for money. Today we decided to try the Sunday roast. The staff who we haven't seen before were so rude. Neither wanted to seat us in their section and sent us back and forth between them. It was embarrassing so we left. Very disappointing and certainly not award winning.

This was our first visit here following recommendations. We had omelette and toasted sandwich, very tasty and filling. Quick and friendly service, good prices, we will be back. Only issue is that it can get noisy when sitting downstairs due to passing shoppers and vehicles so I guess the upstairs would be better.

Went yesterday for Sunday Roast and it was the very best I have had in a long time I will be going back regularly to try more dishes from their extensive menu - Fantastic little gem

We have been going to The Commodor for breakfast for several years now, not every week as we like to go to different places. The breakfast is very good and filling and price includes tea or coffee. Well worth a visit, especially on a budget!

We stopped by for an impromptu breakfast on Saturday morning and I was so impressed.The restaurant is fairly old school, nothing fancy, definitely more functional, but is warm and inviting nonetheless. The 2 ladies waiting on the tables were really lovely warm friendly and professional.We both had the breakfast brunch which was just under £6, and worth every penny. Fantastic quality food, well presented and steaming hot. I couldn't fault anything.I know people that have been here for private functions and people who have just eaten from the restaurant menu, which I hasten to add is quite extensive and reasonably priced and they have all commented on the fantastic food and exceptional customer service offered.If you are walking across from Sainsbury's to the town centre, you will walk right past it, so treat yourself and give it a try. I can assure you you won't be disappointed.

i took my mum out on mothers day and we had not booked a table which was amazing. as the place was very packed we went up stairs to wait and be seated didnt have to wait long at all.the staff are all delight full and friendly.the waiteress came over and took our order didnt have to wait long at all even though the whole place was packed.they were very quick in bringing our starters over.the starters was very delious.then came our main meals didnt wait long for food at all.well what can i say apart from AMAZING. LOVELY even my mum said it was very good.well done to all the staff who works there. they always do so a wonderful job and always smilling.there is only one small issue is that up stairs there is only one toilet for every body male and females. and when it very busy there is always a queue for the one toilet it was be so lovely if you could add another toilet then it would be perfect. but i do always keep coming back to you for lunch as it a lovely place to eat keep up the good work every body.

Lovely service with a smile but just to me seems to miss out on that extra thing that would move it up the ranks. Ok ish pizza but nothing special. For some strange reason it closes very early which is mentioned the moment you arrive. The menu seems very good with a lot of variety but at the end of the day it's a caff in the centre of town. Would certainly never consider going for a special meal.

I don't know how they do it for the price, but all dishes are inexpensive. There is a large menu on offer including breakfast, tapas and roasts. Always busy and they have many regular customers which means something.

The Comodor is a fantastically priced restaurant and their full fry up breakfasts are a bargain including tea and toast in the price you cant go wrong, they give you service with a smile and a paper to read it is warm and inviting and by far the best breakfast in town with no hidden extras. I love it there and every time I am visiting Sussex I keep going back great place service with constant smiles.

We've been meaning to try this place for months and are so glad we finally did today.It's a bit cramped upstairs where most of the seating is, but the waitress took us straight to a table and within minutes we had menus and then the order was quickly taken. In no time at all the food arrived and it was piping hot and delicious.The all day breakfast is less then 6 pounds, is huge and comes with toast and free tea or coffee, and the scrambled egg on toast can be recommended as it comes with sausage, bacon, salmon or cheese, plus chips or a salad, all for less than 4 pounds.They don't offer a children's menu, but they do have high chairs available.Forget the chain restaurants and their microwaved fayre and try this place. We shall certainly be going back to try the pizza and pasta which looked delicious.
