Not very good coffee and staff are not being trained properly

Another great coffee prepared by Hannah. We regularly have a cortado and double espresso Hannah is very professional, helpful and friendly. Her coffees are the best. A great experience.

Extremely slow service - queues are not even long but the two gentlemen behind the counter take 20mins to make an iced frappe and/or iced coffee.

Terrible coffee and rude staff. Went to Costa (the one opposite Swan Walk) today. Got a small cappuccino and medium latte with couple of biscuits. Cappuccino was ok but latte was like dishwater. I took it back to ask for an extra shot, that had maybe been left on the side, when they were making single shot coffees, and they said they’d make another one. I specifically asked for it in a small cup (same as cappuccino size) which they agreed to. It came back in a bowl and was still terrible - dishwater thin and weak. Went back again and was told, very rudely I’d have to pay as they’d already remade it and that I was being cheeky, trying to get more coffee out of them. What really annoyed me was watching the young lad making a number of single shot coffees and, rather than putting a cup either side of spout he was just putting one cup under one side of spout, leaving the spout/shot to run away…total waste of coffee and they had the cheek to say I was being cheeky. Needless to say I left the coffee. Cafe Nero made me a GREAT latte. Won’t use Costa in Horsham again.

Delivered to wrong place, I didn't received my coffee

As part of a chain it's the same wherever you go. Convenient and well established but never outstanding.

Came here for a quick coffee this afternoon around half 4 . The young lady was very good but one younger boy made me wait a good 5 minutes to be served and the other gentleman was complaining about making the drink infront of me and brought my experience down. Its also interesting to see you getting more lower reviews instead of higher ones says a lot about your staff.

Good place to go have a coffee and eat something for breakfast. It's spacious and they serve you right away. The service is good and fast. Some things are a bit expensive, but to have a coffee in the Horsham area and have a quick breakfast it is well priced

Have not been in here for a while as the service was very poor. Everyone deserves a second chance so popped in today. Service worse than ever. Waited at the till, no one in front, 3 staff on, no one said hello. Then a member of staff came from behind the counter and proceeded to fill up the biscuits and completely ignored me. Thanks off the Pret I go

The reason for the 3 star rating is the fact the restaurant is so dirty. The floor is not clean. Everything else though the drinks is fine. I can't speak for the food but It is very nice.

Well it's safe to say I won't be rushing back to Costa in Horsham... I was stunned by the behaviour of 2 of the staff members, the oldest members too. I approached the blonde lady on her laptop regarding a missing item on the receipt. I was very polite and reassured her that I don't need it in a hurry as I could see they were busy. She huffed and puffed and said 'Yeah, I'll get it'. Another member of staff gave me the wrong item and huffed when I corrected him. The blonde & miserable lady seemed to think it was ok to comment on our table and compared it to a creche. It made me and my friends feel uncomfortable and not want to return. As we left, I witnessed her slamming the highchairs down and doing more of that huffing. Maybe she should find a better career if she doesn't like parents and their children coming in to the workplace. After all, it's a coffee shop and us mums need somewhere to feed our children. The food was dry anyway so an overall 0 for me.

Staff were extremely rude. Made to feel like an inconvenience at all times. There was 3 of us with our children (3 children). Had to re arrange the table to be able to fit 3 high chairs around it. Staff staring at us like it was a problem. Ordered almond croissant, wasn’t given it. After 10 mins, I asked the staff member (lady with short blonde hair) who was very abrupt and rude and told me to wait a minute. After waiting 5 minutes, one of the other staff members comes over with a plain croissant, I explained I didn’t order this and had to show them the receipt?! He said ‘oh right’ in a very rude manner and walked off. They finally then gave me the correct pastry. Children cry, make fuss, have the occasional tantrum, it’s normal. The staff were looking at us and commenting. The lady with short blonde hair was cleaning up and then said to 2 other staff members ‘it’s like a crèche in here’. Why work in a coffee shop if you are going to complain about children?!? Absolutely beyond me. We spent £30+ between ourselves and what a mistake that was. Awful customer service. Made to feel like an inconvenience. New staff needed.

Why do people buy this awful coffee and food? Desperation?

West street NOT next costa coffee - west street was awful. Got the drink wrong when we asked them to change it they just wanted to scrape cream off the top. We advised we’d like it remaking. Which they did but (it was a bubble drink) they didn’t inc the bubbles or enough flavouring. How many times do you need to ask someone to make a drink to get it right ?

The till person needs to understand customer service, and that it’s not a social centre, very unprofessional and seemed like I was an issue for wanting service

Christmas sausage roll eas lovely but stay away from the brie and bacon toasties, appaling quality.

Although it was very busy, the staff kept the tables clear of dirty glasses etc. There was a big queue, but customers were served as quickly as possible.

Drinks were made very quickly, and while busy, we were able to find seating quickly

Great although be aware that food products that are warm are not hot but just a little warm this isn’t a problem tho we reheated in the air fryer for a minute and they were hot again. Everything was lovely

Disinterested staff. Customers treated as an inconvenience. Toilets closed. Card machine not working.

Staff (two girls) looked miserable to be there ( it was 16:30 so may be end of the day) . I ordered a latte but was not asked if I wanted it in or takeaway, so when the girl went to pour into a glass I asked sorry but could it be in a take away cup. This is because I wasn’t staying in. She rolled her eyes got a cup and then just left it on discarded to the side without a word. I assumed it was mine and took it. Made me very uncomfortable, a shame as I use to like this costa.

Well, you know me, I like Horsham; and these franchises, they're alright, innit. But come on. Not getting political or nothing, but these recent adjustments to labour supply have taken their toll. Don't get me wrong; staff are blinding. Gonna give it a 4, cos I got rememories of reading Iliad II wiv me boy (what a lad!), yeah, the old diaereses, the big question. Shout out to Milman and Adam

One particular staff member was huffing, she couldn’t even serve with a smile, blonde lady with glasses. Made me feel like I was being a burden to order., just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, staff are caring more about their own drinks than paying customers. People who I think work here but not in uniform are getting the attention rather than customers. Bald man, mopping with no wet floor signs and making a crazy amount of noise whilst we’re trying to chat and have a nice coffee. Wasn’t the best experience

No staff take a way cup's charged full price, floor being mopped around us while we sat having our coffees, mop bucket left next to our table!.

Just had the worst treatment I have ever had from a young woman working here. Because we had stood for ages waiting to be served while a young lady ignored us and carried on cleaning something, my husband said, "Come on lets leave" but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt, and said "Is anyone serving" This obviously annoyed her very much indeed because she glowered at me, literally threw the saucers on the tray, chucked a spoon from some distance away onto a saucer and then proceeded to slam a glass of water onto the tray as well. So rude! Never coming here again. It wasn't even busy. We were the only ones at the counter?

If your looking for a good customer service along with the tastiest coffee you'll ever drink, find evie. Most charming barrista I've encounter and definitely makes the atmosphere worth the journey. I will be coming back

A young lady called Evie is an amazing young lady with customer service.

This place is super. Ok it’s a coffee store. It’s really clean. The two young ladies are so pleasant to talk too. Really happy go lucky attitude. If you stop at Horsham central come out if the hotel turn right towards the silver benches turn right again. Follow the road. Ignore Nero and Pret you don’t want any of that junk. Boom your there

Went in Sunday morning and greeted by a very enthusiastic member of staff that made me laugh straight away. Customer service was great and so was my coffee. Will be coming back for sure

Extremely unfriendly staff and would not recommend it to anyone visiting or living in Horsham. Worst service. My daughter came home crying after a poor interaction with multiple members of staff targeting young people and making them feel uncomfortable and unsafe in the café environment.

Blad barista with glasses soo rude arrogant and racist when my turn came he asked the girl on the till to leave, didn't feel welcome at all and it's not the first time, people like that shouldn't be behind the counter, terrible costumer service

Wouldn’t even give it 1 star. Got my drink wrong twice. Ordered a mango frappe and got a smoothie and then the second time the forgot the tapioca balls and as I watched them make the drink the THIRD time they put mango syrup in the drink before blending! Was going to pull them up on it the third time but I wasnt going to in bother. The baristas are extremely rude The first time my partner took the drink back he had it slid across the counter at him and the second time i took it back they all rolled their eyes at each other. I wasn’t trying the only one complaining about an incorrect order either!

I usually don’t go to Costa but everything else was closed on last Sunday morning so popped in to grab an early coffee. There was quite a decent queue of people and just one barista - was really impressed by his politenesses, positivity and speed - rare to find. Please give Steve a promotion!

Fantastic coffee cold drinks and food and if u haven't got a reuseable cup u have the option to buy one there and the app is fantastic for the days u have little time to hang around as u can order on the go and by the time u get there is should be there waiting 4 u if u have to wait its never that long

Worst cappuccino in my life. My wife took hers back and was so hot it took over 15 minutes to drink I complained to who I thought was the Manager who was indifferent to say the least. The single star is that at least it was warm inside. Won't be revisiting again!!

Went to costa today (21/01/22) and was hugely unsatisfied with the hospitality. One employee witnessed a friend of ours take a chair and join it to a six person table, it wasn’t any inconvenience to anyone but she still refused to let him sit there even though he was going to buy something anyway. Bearing in mind another group of people who were behind us were sitting on a four person table and they were a group of five, she didn’t have a problem with them whatsoever. She was incredibly rude and made us want to leave, which we ended up doing. This isn’t how any employee from Costa should act and to be honest I expected more from the chain. The Costa in Swan Walk is a lot more inviting and friendly so I encourage anyone to go there instead.

Staff are very slow at clearing tables and are losing customers. Interior is quite tatty and dirty.

OK. Nice design inside, the back - albeit a little chilly from aircon, I think - was quite sultry, darkish and cool. So good. Costa is Costa, so the coffee is the Costa way of making lattes, poured from a cup into your paper cup.

The sandwich was not right it was ham and cheese but it looked like spam and cheese disgusting should of taken it back but just didn't eat it it was very disappointing

Just a simple Americano at a table outside the café but the coffee is excellent. Come the 18th May they will be serving indoors and have their toasted tea cakes available - note to self in diary.

The Horsham branch of Costa is lovely. Friendly and efficient staff, and a lovely place to meet up once Covid restrictions are lifted again!

Currently, the social distancing practices at this store are terrible and I'm starting to feel really sorry for the staff on the floor who I saw get verbal abuse from a customer today. The Manager (or Regional Manager) of this store needs to give some serious support and training to the staff on the floor and not leave only 2 staff members working during peak service times. Both Worthing branches are very effective with social distancing so suggest they follow their lead to ensure safety of everyone.

Changed my order and they were really good about it. They did get one of the other drinks wrong but were happy to make a new one and let me keep the wrong order as well. Really fast and helpful service.
