Usually get lunch at various eateries when in Loughborough. Found this place on way back to car park. Its a traditional British cafe, serving traditional English foods, such as egg and chips, omelette etc.If you want something fancy then go elsewhere! Portions are good sized and all food is served piping hot. Prices are reasonable too. Reasonable busy (on Friday's) but no lengthy queues. Clean and tidy and friendly staff. Will definatly recommend.

Visited whilst attending the Great Central Railway 1940s day. This is a nice clean, quintessentially English cafe serving superb food by friendly staff. Very good value for money and we would highly recommend the Coffee Pot.

This was such a lovely welcome return to Loughborough for me as I've not been here since 2019, I ordered my favourite dish, a plain omelette, with chips and a lovely salad. You never know when eating out, but the standard and high consistency of my meals here is fantastic. As I hoped it would be, it was wonderful, the omelettes are cooked to a slightly golden colour, so not gooey (just how I love mine), and I don't know what it is about their's but I never need to add any salt to my omelette (but it's not salty) it just tastes lovely, the chips are a great size and taste lovely as well, a generous salad accompanies this meal, and comes with a nice helping of watercress as well. I hope to be dining here again very soon. This cafe has an extensive menu, and the meals I saw that other diners had ordered, such as lasagne etc looked great.

The Coffee Pot cafe is clean and popular with locals, the service seemed good but I visited it today and ordered Fish Chips and Peas for my lunch, the meal was below average, some of the chips were just about edible although most were hard and sharp, the fish was disgusting, solid right through and grey in colour with a crust of well done breadcrumbs, after I had managed to cut into the fish there was a sort of white paste in the middle and that's when I decided enough was enough. I do not know what type of fish it was but it definitely wasn't Cod or Haddock as advertised. I took it to the counter but did not get a response, just a mumble. I did not want a refund or a replacement but I just hope that other customers get better service after the establishment realise that some customers however old they are will complain.

This spacious clean café provides hot snacks like jacket potatoes, a selection of classic meals, sandwiches, rolls, good coffee, teas and soft drinks at reasonable prices, and all very close to Queen's Park, its carillon recitals and the town centre. Order and later pay at till; food is brought to your table. Very prompt service when we visited one Sunday lunchtime in August. Photos are of landmarks within 5 mins on foot.

Popped in with my Mum and enjoyed a super lunch. Lovely omelette and nice piece of gammon all served with perfect french fries. Friendly service and good prices… what more do you need? A perfect lunchtime old-school cafe. Forget the fast food joints in town and go somewhere where they can actually cook properly!

It is a marvellous Cafe, the Owner is a wonderful Man, the Staff are very good and professional. Visit this cafe for good food, good service and a very pleasant atmosphere. You will not be disappointed. It has a good menu with something to suit most tastes.

I have been here twice. The first time I ordered Spaghetti Carbonara, and it was amazing, very rich and creamy, cooked to perfection. The second time I was here I had Spaghetti Bolognese, which was lovely. The sauce tomatoey and the mince was browned beautifully. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxed, and the decor is stylish. The staff are also very friendly and polite. My only complaint is that it is a tad expensive, however, the food is worth every penny, and I cannot recommend this place enough!

Me and my friend visited here for breakfast and were very pleasantly surprised by the range of food (and drinks!) available. They offered table service, wore masks, were very accommodating and served good food at a good price. Will be back again, felt good to be supporting a Loughborough local business also.

We called in for lunch when on a visit to Loughborough with friends. This was the first time we had been here and we were very happy with our visit. The welcome was very friendly and warm and, although it was crowded when we arrived, the service was quick and efficient. There was plenty of choice on the menu and my wife, who is Gluten Free, was able to find something for her lunch. Our meals were tasty and, although not cheap, they were not that expensive. All in all an excellent lunch and would certainly return if, and when, next in Loughborough.

Not overcrowded, and not noisy, so I am considering whether to bring my daughter and her younger son who is autistic, here for a meal one day.

La elección de la comida es buena y se puede intercambiar y cambiar los componentes de tu desayuno. I've been to this place a couple of times. It is true, it's cheap. However, the quality of the food reflects the price. I don't understand what's the point in transferring juice from the carton to a jar which makes it look fresh when it clearly isn't. No card payments.

i have often walked passed this establishment so decided on saturday i would give it a try. Place has a nice comfortable athmoshpire but chairs are not very comfortable to sit on after awhile. i had the prawn cocktail to start with which was actually very nice i could of had a second one. For my main i had a beef burger which i would say was ok. tomatos and cucumber tasted like they may have been out at room temperture for a long period of time making them not very nice to eat. Menu prices for food are very cheap. We did finish off with a coffee and cake and for me this place was more suited for a coffee and chat with a friend etc rather than having lunch. may return for a coffee as it was nice little place to sit and catch with friends

The Coffee Pot - though run by an Italian family - is the kind of cosy little place that used to be found in small English towns before the arrival of the international chains, though the menu is wider and the service brisker than was often found in the fifties and sixties. This is not the place for a special meal out - the décor and seating are functional and rather Spartan - but rather a place to find good simple food served quickly and at a reasonable price. Being Italian, the coffee is probably the best in the town! The cafe's location - a stone's throw from the town centre - makes it ideal for shoppers and casual visitors. There is a car park opposite and limited street parking nearby. We ended up at The Coffee Pot after being told at a nearby Garden Centre restaurant that we would have to wait forty minutes for hot food as they were busy. Well, they were busy at The Coffee Pot and we had to wait all of ten minutes - I suspect that it will be busy again tomorrow!

Well the food hasn't even arrived yet and the service has been rude, surly and unfriendly. The place is freezing and the staff refused to put the heater on and then told us after 10 minutes of waiting, it would be 15 minutes for veggie sausage. Very overpriced. The breakfast was OK but beans and tomatoes, and eggs were tepid to say the least. Bloody awful.

As it was a sunny day, the place was busy although we found a table. Recently the menu has changed in my view for the worst. Prices have leapt with choice not as good as it used to be. Although our order arrived in decent time one or two people who came in after us left upon being informed there was a waiting time of over 30 mins for cooked food. We have been regulars here but with the menu change and big increase in prices will sadly look elsewhere.

A fantastic night with friends enjoying the cocktail masterclass with Jerome a great bartender and entertainer. Jerome knows his stuff, easily explaining what to mix and how, with a little bit of science too. We gratefully accepted the cocktails he made so effortlessly and then had a go at making our own, Jerome’s teaching style made this fun and easy and overcame any of our nerves with encouragement and humour. Thanks for helping us have a great night out 5⭐️

My most favourite little deli! Have been coming here for 11+ years and have never left disappointed. The food is fantastic and whenever I take people there (generally grabbing lunch with a colleague) they're always impressed with the quality of the food. Personal favourites are the brie and bacon baguette and THE WORLDS BEST lemon cheesecake (chefs kiss). Only slight criticisms would be the place gets so busy it can mean can't always eat in (shows how good the place is) and they're closed on a Monday which tends to be the day I work in the office so can't always nip in to the best deli in Leicestershire.

After a walk at Bradgate Park we chose to stop in here for brunch. We checked the menu outside and were surprised to find that the prices inside had been inflated quite considerably. Did they forget to change the menu outside? I think probably not. After waiting for a table we then sat down on a dirty table to order, waited half an hour for our food, which then came out lukewarm at best and really quite underwhelming. £70 for 3 breakfasts, 3 drinks and pancakes is certainly steep I'd say, but when it is such poor quality I'm not sure how this place gets the reviews it does.
