Great setting watching the world going by. Lovely design, very impressed with self order tills... local and independent. Must visit.

I don't normally leave reviews but felt on this occasion I should. If my coffee had been not to my liking I would of asked for a replacement however, my coffee was superb as was my friends latte and cake. Staff extremely friendly and helpful when my Jack Russel was a pain. I give credit where its due and let the barrista know when we were leaving. A pat on the back that was well deserved. Thank you coffee cart.

Popped in on our way back to the car after a shopping trip. It is our family’s favourite place for a drink (and or snack) when in Hereford. Well not anymore. The member of staff on the till is clearly in the wrong job, she couldn’t have been more disinterested if she tried. We collected our drinks and food and headed to the car. Neither sandwich was edible, they both contained some form of warm slop. The americano tasted like burnt filter coffee, so didn’t get drunk. My daughter had a seasonal latte which she said was lovely. On my journey back to Brecon I started to think about the £24+ I had spent and what a waste of money it was for 2 coffees, a panini and a toasted sandwich and a cinnamon bun. I then realised we never received the cinnamon bun. I thought about phoning and complaining when I got home, but what’s the point - businesses aren’t interested in customer service anymore, if they were, the food would have been edible and the staff pleasant. I live more than a hour from Hereford so I’m getting my hard earned money back, because I don’t think the Coffee Cart really cares.

Was given the wrong drink and told quite aggressively that I had ordered the drink I was given. They then proceeded to tell me it’s a better drink anyway and I should drink it. Was probably just a mishearing, but was not given my correct drink. What happened to the customers always right? Overpriced and cold anyway.

Stopped as usual for coffee but was disappointed by the state of the seating area , used cups and rubbish on almost every free seating area and there were several, also floor had spilt coffee on it - waited to see if there was someone looking after the area but seemingly no staff on this task , not the first time and last time we cleared our own table and seating area - Guys you have a great location and business here but you need to ensure its clean and welcoming always .We chose not to stay this time sadly .

Sat with family including a 9 week old baby , 5 month old and a toddler having a cuppa with family. Say in the indoor bit at old market Hereford , ask for heaters to come on and got told no they are not connected. It is freezing !!! If we hasn’t just spent £36 on drinks and cakes we would have gone elsewhere ! Family drinks are going to be at costa in the warm from now on ! Don’t recommend with babies guys especially not in the cold weather 🥶 why have heaters and not use them ?

Nearly every cup now is half froth half coffee! Expensive for half a cup ! Staff have been rude when asked to fill up the cups

Realised seconds after payment forgot to ask for NHS discount. Asked to reverse the transaction. Was rudely told too late by Sophie. Asked to reverse transaction. Told no too late. Asked to speak to Manager. Told by Sophie she was Manager. Her name badge stated Assistant Manager which I advised her!!!! No I am the Manager. Mmmmm poor customer experience / service Sophie!!!!

I used to go to this restaurant for their nice coffee but unfortunately it became very dirty recently the cups, the floor and the sofas and the throws on them they are very dirty full of stains ( different kinds of stains) which I refused to sit on any more. I changed my coffee place to another cafeteria.

Very nice coffee it was a shame that one person can make the whole operation unprofessional the member of staff with multi coloured hair lets the team down

Visited coffee cart in Old Market Very disappointed ordered a pot if Earl Grey tea & Americano Tea cup was dirty took it back for a clean one however this was still dirty ! I said to the assistant oh thats still dirty she looked at it said that OK proceded to use her fingers to wipe it then gave it to me !!! Can't believe it I was disgusted .I said could I have another one please her response we have NO more I asked if I could have a mug then please which she promptly slamed down ! I may add this still wasn't clean I gave up then Will never return I will never recommend such a shame this is the first bad review I've submitted

It’s a lovely looking cafe in a great spot which is why we often pay it a visit when we are in Hereford (we live in Leeds). This visit we ordered some paninis, toasted tea cake, tea, smoothies and a flat white, which came to just short of £30, so quite expensive. Overall it was good, apart from the coffee which they never seem to get right. Maybe it’s living in Leeds as there are plenty of excellent coffee shops, but they make it in a mug and essentially pour the milk in?? It’s a lovely looking cafe but for the price the quality and service should be better 🤷🏼‍♀️

The coffee itself isn't too bad but the staff are a massive let down. They don't listen to your order as they're too busy looking at the door to see who's walking past, when you correct them they roll their eyes as if you've changed your mind. They are unhelpful and clearly have never heard of the words "Customer Service"

I give 3* as the first time we went it was OK. We had a coffee each & MrDW had some cake or other, all good. Nowhere else appeared to be open, so it was nice to just sit there on the corner & catch a bit of breeze in the unbearable heat. 2nd time we had coffee’s & MrDW had his usual cake thing, I had the carrot cake. The coffee seemed a lot stronger this time, I tipped half of mine away as it was quite sickly. The carrot cake was stale & didn’t taste the best. This cost us around £12.00. Now about the staff that need hiring, what about a cleaner? I overlooked it on the 1st visit, but there was still coffee stains all over the tables & outside path on our 2nd visit. This place could do with a jolly good hosing down.

We visited hightown for coffee and were delighted to be able to enjoy coffee outside, yet feel cosy and safe under the current circumstances. The canopy offers sufficient shelter and works well with the feel of the whole coffee stand. The staff as always were friendly and helpful, appeared to be adhering to safety measures and the whole experience was positive, particularly given that we have not been going out and about due to health concerns.

The Coffee Cart are a great local business that go the extra mile, they deserve to be supported, not a National or Global Tax dodging outfit. James has always been passionate about the quality of the coffee above all else and the proof is in the tasting. I was really impressed to see the new covered outside seating area which still allows us to sit outside safely during these strange times, bravo. Also worth noting is the safe protocols in place, as each table became free the staff would thoroughly wipe down and anti bac the whole area, very impressive. I don’t think they could do much more and all of this must have been at some cost, so support local as they are supporting us.

During that last hectic week before Christmas my wife and I stopped for coffee at The Coffee Cart, as we often do. We were delighted and impressed by the weather proof roof and dividing screens. We felt safe and warm , and relaxed as we sipped our delicious coffee and watched the shoppers hurrying by. The staff are friendly and cheerful despite working outside in all conditions.

We recently visited Hereford for a mini break and were attracted to The Coffee Cart in the centre of the city. The covered seating area was so inviting, even though it was a cold winters day, we were able to sit and enjoy a hot chocolate with a 360 degree view of the bustling city centre. It was reassuring to see strict Covid measures in place and tables were well maintained. We recommend you also try the Nougat twist, suggested to us by friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.

I regularly visit and now more so that they have a new seating area. A coffee in the dry with lovely heaters watching the whole city and world go by! A must to visit!

I lost my wallet when I was at this coffee spot and they kept it for two days until I returned,I was very thankfull,wonderfull,and coffee and service is good too,recommended.

Excellent coffee, lovely hot chocolate which tastes like chocolate. We use reusable cups and the drinks are discounted if you bring your own cup.

Often visit here when in the city. Always good service, good coffee and snacks. Outdoor seating and heating , tables cleared promptly, can be a little breezy but that makes the warm coffee more welcome !

Serves coffee teas etc with a variety of food. Can eat 'in' - undercover - or takeaway. Large umbrellas and heaters shelter from the elements. No toilets.

I go here most times i'm in town, i might be onmy own, with my partner or a group. The staff are lovely very helpful, always time for a chat and there is always a smile waiting for you. They got great coffee, tea etc. They do good food, good price, they also do a great ice-creams :) wort a visit.

conned out of 10 quid, asked for iced latte gave me warm, asked for soya milk gave me dairy. incredibly ride and I'm now on a drip in a&e due to you guys giving me dairy when I specifically asked for soya. overall will not be going back and to top it off when I asked for my £10, she accuses me if lying. I has witnesses. do not reccomend at all.(woman who conned me had brown eyebrows and hair and was quite fat)

Popped in with my family on a quiet lunch time. There were lots of staff on, but the service was appalling. The staff looked to me moving in slow motion and I was at the counter for over 10 minutes whilst they fumbled around trying to sort out the drinks for my order.Food arrived quickly though and was tasty.Could be so much better if they sorted out the service and the sluggish staff.

We had a sit down here and a break during a Saturday afternoon's Christmas shopping spree.Hot chocolates were ordered which were nice. Too expensive though (yes, we could've walked away I hear you say).It was busy, comfortable seats. The tables were clean. The heaters were working. The only major issue would be the clouds of smoke drifting towards us from our friendly neighbouring table (deep joy).

I have been here a few times in groups or individually. Lots of places to sit and all very relaxed, heaters outside and fur throws make up for lack of indoor seating, meaning you can sit outdoors all year round. Food can sometimes be a bit lack lustre as the choice is slightly limiting but there are a fair few options and they do cater for vegetarians. Service generally very friendly but can be a little slow. Can't hugely complain as I appreciate this is a small store and the workspace behind the counter is limiting and coffee is freshly crafted which I appreciate. I would recommend for anyone, good for being in a group or on your own!

I used to enjoy going to the coffee cart for a drink and a catch up, but it has disappointed me greatly. The prices are extortionate! £4.20 for a medium milkshake is disgusting... and for the baristas to get the order wrong is very disappointing. The staff in there, young or otherwise are rude and not at all enthusiastic about their work and appear as though they wish not to be there. Miserable environment and I will not be giving anymore money to this greedy company

A very pleasant way to have a coffee and a chat. However the food and especially the brownies and other little cakes seem very expensive.

Often enjoy a coffee here when meeting my girl friends. We enjoy the less formal atmosphere, being able to sit outdoors, it has a continental feel. Service is always quick and the staff are friendly.

Picked up some drinks, hot chocolates were lovely, although as they were take away by time I got to the car half the cream and toppings had melted off and left a massive trail on the pavement behind me.

Lovey place, staff are friendly give you plenty of time to decide what you want allowed is to have the dog outside. It was nice and quiet and shaded. Would recommend.

I sat here with my wife during a pleasant Sunday afternoon having a drink. A nice place to relax and people watch in the centre of Hereford. The only area of improvement would be to tidy up the tables from the previous customers, as we sat by a table covered with old cups.

Good coffee with great variety to the drinks menu! But I thought overall it was a little pricey! £3.90 for a medium honeycomb hot chocolate!! Good service

Located in High Town and surrounded by chain coffee shops. Nice coffee and food. Heaters for the winter cold. Does range of food too. Great for watching the street entertainment in Hereford.

If you ever need to just sit, chill and relax whilst your people watching then this is the place to be.

Visited during the past weekend with family. Ordered coffees. Received coffees that tasted a bit bitter / slightly burnt.

I stopped going here some time ago as the staff were rude and the coffee wasn't great. My usual place being too busy - we stopped here. I ordered a latte and a cappuccino, to then be given 2 cups of latte - I commented that the other was a cappuccino and not a latte and the 3 members of staff just looked at me like I was an alien and said that's what it is - so needless to say I wont be going back as I didn't particularly want a cup of hot milk and their customer service were non existant!

Great place for a break from shopping in heart of the Old Market Quarter in Hereford Good coffee. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Quick service. Nice place to sit. Will try the gelato in summer.

We're sorry to say our visit was most disappointing. Vacant tables had not been cleared and many smelt of cigarette ash from pot ash trays and unfortunately there was an aroma of sewage around our table. Hot chocolate was cold and thin in taste. Toasted bacon baps were soggy with horrible fruity sauce. Found staff fairly friendly.

Really friendly staff make this a definite like! Tasty treats to go with your delicious coffee seal the deal for me :)

Tucked in the middle of the new complex where the old cattle market used to be is a great little coffee shop.

This is one of the best places for a coffee or light snack in town. Cheerful staff . Nothing is too much trouble. On a cold day they put warm covers on the outdoor chairs. Watch the world go by and relax in this wonderful location

A really nice addition to the coffee options in Hereford, in the nice new shopping area. I have visited both during a lunch break and on a Saturday morning. The coffee is good, and the iced coffee options lovely on a sunny day.

I have visited The Coffee Cart on my two most recent excursions into Hereford and found the standard of service, produce and the general atmosphere to be exceptional on both occasions. I fully intend to visit again on my next trip! Very impressed.
