A great day out at the clubhouse cafe. I enjoyed a clubhouse barm (made up of egg, sausage and bacon) with a giant scone for pudding. Coffee was great. A good selection of vegan and gluten free options was greatly appreciated by my vegan wife and gluten free eldest child👍. Cakes all looked delicious 😋 , I would’ve had one of each if I wasn’t trying to diet! Kids enjoyed playing on the mini golf while we watched them from the cosy warmth of the cafe through the back windows. Could easily spend a day here across the pitch and putt/ foot golf, golf driving range, mini golf and of course the wonderful cafe. Good selection, good price and a lovely atmosphere. I will be coming again, especially after spotting that they sell a range of alcoholic beverages 🥂 🍻!

Little gem, great food with excellent service at reasonable prices. Especially on a lovely summers day. Recommended with no hesitation.

Do not be confused by the name, which is currently shown on Google Maps as “Bread and Putter”, and was formerly “The Kitchen”. This is a cafe open to the public, and nothing like the stereotypical 19th Hole of a golf clubhouse. Formby Golf Centre off Downholland Moss Lane (Google Maps “Moss Side”) is an excellent golf practice facility (Clarkes shop, driving range, pitch-and-putt, putting) known to players from all along the Golf Coast, but it is not a golf club, and has no clubhouse (they are at Formby Golf Club and, separately, Formby Hall Golf Club, both within a few minutes' drive). The cafe occupies its own detached, purpose-built building adjacent to the range, but separate from it. One can pass an hour or two in the cafe and hear no sound or mention of golf. Green is the predominant colour. The green of the surrounding lawns of the outdoor seating area, partly roofed, mostly open. The green of the trees that insulate the Centre from the outside world. The soft sage green of the cafe walls. The tranquillity is enhanced by Classic FM playing quietly in the background. Food and drink is freshly made and good quality: the usual range of coffees, barms, and wraps, and an exceptional range of cakes. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Decent salads can usually be rustled up, unless perhaps exceptionally busy. Ask “Are there any specials today?”, as a quiche or pie may have caught la patronne’s eye and been brought in. She and her staff are welcoming, accessible, and professional, and deserve credit from turning the out-of-the-way location into a destination. The cafe is popular with dog walkers, cycle clubs, and families- children can putt on the dedicated putting course, while parents keep an eye on them through the picture window. There is ample free parking in the Golf Centre car park. Pro tip: Order “A scone with all the trimmings”- butter, thick cream, jam, fruit pieces, and a chocolate star.

I visited the Club House on a wednesday lunchtime with my sister and our 86 year old mum. It was warm and welcoming, the staff go above and beyond with really excellent friendly service, they were so lovely with my mum, bringing her some beautiful jam to finish off the toast from her delicious breakfast. I had chicken noodle soup which was fabulous, all in all a great experience and highly recommended! Dog friendly too with outside space for nice weather.

The Clubhouse is my favourite cafe for my weekly bike rides. I often take my cycling club there on Sundays. The food is always excellent and the Jen, Siobhan, Linda and Vicky are so welcoming. I recommended the Clubhouse bagel!

As a group of u3a cyclists we made a return visit today. The location is great, and the customer service is superb, but most of all, the bacon and sausage sandwich is the best I have had when cycling. This is great praise indeed as I have been cycling forever and always tend to have one at our cafe stops.

Lovely place to stop for lunch. We tried the cafe today and it was such a nice location. Next to the driving range and mini golf the cafe has seating inside and out. As it was a nice day we sat outside We ordered a club house ( sausage, bacon and egg) barm and a jacket potato with beans and a side salad. Plus an Americano Coffee and pot of tea Service was lovely and friendly. Food arrived freshly cooked and looked and tasted good. Even though we were quite close to the Formby bypass it was quite quiet outside. A little hidden gem we will definitely stop at again

This cafe is one of the best in Formby. The staff are lovely, the food is excellent. Fresh and home cooked and nothing is too much trouble. They have good vegetarian and vegan choices but still cater for those who choose a full english. Coffee is great too.

Just had an excellent bacon, sausage and cheese toastie (with chilli sauce); and a goats cheese, pesto, tomato and rocket focaccia. Best quality in Ainsdale! And loads of goodies on the shelves.

Attractively decorated social outlet for the local Neptune Brewery. Great selection of beers available in a number of volumes, from a half pint, through a two thirds pint to a pint. Relaxed, friendly vibe. Good selection of wines and single distiller spirits available.

Went for brunch. Took a while to decide what to choose as there are so many things to choose from. I had the corned beef hash with spicy beans,.. my mother had a mushroom omelette. Both were piping hot an delicious. Will definitely call in again before I leave the area.
