A genuine honest little place, consistently the best classic Indian takeaway in Folkestone for me. Easy ordering, decent value, friendly driver, tasty food. It's the little things - poppadoms perfect and pickles/salad are nicely balanced, Bombay aloo always solidly delish. Order often comes with random bonus poppadoms so feeling happy before starting the actual curry! Highly recommended 😋

Family getaway on the coast. Food is important to us so I did some research beforehand to ensure we try some of the local takeaways. So happy to have picked this little spot as one to try. Had a nice chat with the owner whilst the order was being prepared. Great to hear about how the place is family run, with a lot of love and passion. This was reflected in the food. Every dish was really nice and moreish, and cooked just how we liked. Highly recommended.

Very good, just moved to the area and after trying 4 different Indians this one is the best, very clean, friendly staff, very nice food and reasonable price, will now be our regular, madras could be a bit spicier though.

Asked for two main meals and rice told not enough for free delivery so ordered extra only to find one main meal delivered complained and spoke to them admitted they got order wrong and must pay extra for correct order never again very poor service

A week of great home cooked meals, decided the family deserved a treat or break from the wife's cooking... straight on to Just Eat picked these guys from 8 and was so not disappointed...Chicken Tikka Biriyani was superb as good as I've had in a while.. Delivery was good albeit 20 mins late, but the price was fair... Even better was enough for a small brekkie.... Will use again, Thanks

First time ordering from here. My partner and myself was surprised on how good the portion sizes are. Food is full if flavour. Highly recommended will definitely order from here again 10/10

After not having a treat in a long while due to lack of funds we thought we’d indulge in a take away. As most of the reviews seemed positive we thought we’d give this place a go. How we wish we hadn’t !! I’ve no idea how they can make cubes of so called chicken the same texture as an over cooked , rubbery prawn. Tasteless and just vile . The sauce was quite indescribable , that’s all I can say. I ordered a garlic naan, a cold plain one turned up with garlic margarine spread over it, not even melted into the bread. Would not recommend!!

Had a set meal for two last night and it was the bees knees 10 out of 10. Best in Folkestone. Well done.

I can’t recommend the Clay Oven highly enough. I’ve never had a bad meal. Always lovely flavours, they offer advice for dishes if you fancy a change. The Chicken Pathia, Passanda, Madras, Chicken Tikka Masala. Saag Aloo. All lovely. The specials come with rice. They cook the food in good time, the folks in the shop are always friendly. Discount if you collect. It’s worth the drive.

One of the best takeaway's we have had in a very long time. Perfectly cooked, loads of flavour. Every item was fantastic - meat dishes, rice's, veg dishes etc. Friendly staff. Delivered in just under 40 minutes (which was the time estimate given when I ordered). They also do a Kebabish (Indian version of a kebab, but uses naan bread rather than pitta bread) which is very filling!

Having read previous reviews on this outlet, i decided to pay a visit and see for myself to weigh up the mixed comments. On this occasion the 3 staff present were both polite and helpful. The food , which was prepared and cooked in full view, turned out to be very good indeed, comprising of a nan bread, tandoori chicken, Sag aloo and rice. Based on the constant phone ringing and other customers at the outlet, it would suggest this is a very popular and well used takeaway. I thoroughly enjoyed the food.

We ordered takeaway through just eat the tikka was gritty and the chilli chicken cold. I went back with the food for a refund and the guy got angry with me!!!! I mean seriously? You cooked the inedible food not me!! So I'll have the rude with a side of garbage please!!

We had family visiting we usually order from here but alway feel worried recommending “your local” curry house to people that don’t live near. I rang and ordered the phone a head of time which was no problem and was ready on time, we enjoyed almost all of it (we ordered a bit too much) it’s a nice curry, and the staff are always polite

Food is lovely, especially the Biriyani and Dhaal. Extra spice added when requested. Extra sides given at no charge.

Take away- took 2 hours to arrive when it did the chicken was in edible when I rang they just said they were busy

Shrilankan curries are very tasty. Different to my usual curry house but really tasty. Will definitely go there again soon. The staff were really pleased to serve us as well which makes a change at a takeaway.

Got a delivery as it was my parents anniversary, was very disappointed, there was some missing I was told it wasn't ordered but definitely was. Wasn't any flavour and way to many tomatoes, won't be going there again

My wife and I use the Clay Oven regularly, Ali the owner and his family are lovely people. Take away curry is always delivered promptly, so hot when it arrives. Reasonable prices and large portions. (they don't skrimp on the meat like many!)

Just had the set meal for two & wow ! So much we couldn't eat it all, really good food well priced and swift friendly service.

We ordered a meal through Just Eat, and opted for two Thali dishes to share between us (a Thali is a selection of smaller portions of food, with sauces and naan on the side, so you get more variety without buying a huge blow-out) - one vegetarian, one meaty.

Brilliant flavoursome food. Go and order you food at the counter and then watch the friendly staff cook it in front of you. I pass more than a half of a dozen other takeaways just to go to this place.
