Come here often for Sunday lunch with my family and stay for drinks and the quiz after and we’ve never been disappointed. The team are attentive and we’re always looked after every time we come in.

Great pub in Dulwich, always a friendly smile behind the bar and service is fantastic. Had booked for lunch with some family and friends in the garden and rally enjoyed the food and drinks.

Visited this pub for a Sunday lunch with family. The barman was extremely helpful and the rest of the staff were constantly asking if everything was ok just right. Food and service spot on. Garden lovely for somewhere so built up, will definitely return!

The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The drinks were nice and we had a really nice evening. I would recommend this pub to anyone.

Been coming years so that should say a lot. Nice staff usually a long menu but this visit seems short staff however assistant Manager Malcom most helpful. Short choice but still great taste and generous.

The best crab cakes I ever had ! Fish pie-perfectly cooked ! Hot plates ! I'll definitely treat my mom to a nice lunch here again ! Food is always served on time ! My friends tried some of the spirits that were so refreshing and I enjoyed the atmosphere with a glass of wine. Staff are so friendly and polite, absolutely a lovely place to spend summer days !

I booked a few weeks in advance for a party of 9. This was for my Mum's 80th birthday and we reserved a private room which is a lovely space. I reconfirmed a week in advance and was told all was OK and there being 9 of us there was no need to pre book any food. My Niece went in on the morning and decorated the room and again confirmed 9 of us would be there at 2.30pm. All started off OK and our drinks were ordered. The debacle started when we tried to order our food. Immediately, the waitress advised us that there were no scotch eggs or houmous and only 1 prawn skillet, these were all starters we wanted. We altered our choices and then tried to order mains. Again we were told there was only 1 pie, 1 steak and 2 fish. At this stage we were all extremely upset and quite ready to leave. However after a discussion amongst ourselves and because we had decorated the room and had drinks, we decided to stay and order what we could. The food that came was sub standard. The steak was inedible and sent back, the risotto was dry and tasteless and the raclett was a poor imitation of the real thing. The Manager could do nothing but agree that the whole situation was completely unacceptable. He did take our drinks off the bill. Not wanting to cause a fuss and spoil my Mum's celebration further, we paid for the food and left. We had planned to spend our afternoon and evening there so the bar lost out on some good revenue. How on earth were they planning on serving customers until 10pm on a Saturday evening? The excuse given was a supplier problem??? Before we sat down, we should have been told of this ridiculous situation. We will most definitely not be back.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch. In fact the best l Pub lunch we’ve had for a long time. The service was also great and the pub has a fab atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.

Can’t beat the Sunday Roast it is amazing. The staff are friendly and can’t do enough for you. Will definitely be back when in the area.

We had a late lunch on New Years Eve. The waitress was really lovely and the roast was spot on. Really nice setting.

My family and I went for our Christmas Day dinner, and it was fantastic. Henry and the staff were amazing and friendly. They catered all our needs. Definitely will be going back for our Christmas Day food.

I've had a very bad experience in The Cherry Tree, and have suffered discrimination and prejudice from a pub manager who suffers from unconscious bias. Thus, as a medical marijuana user, I regularly smoke weed to help with depression and anxiety. However, I have been told by the pub manager not to come to the pub if I smell of weed. Hence, in my opinion, the pub manager is clearly discriminating against medical marijuana users. I feel as if my human rights and have been violated, since the pub manager is judging me on my smell, and also saying things like "I don't care what you so in your spare time." To which I replied, "You cant care what I do in my spare time, because that none of your business." He then went on to say "Look, I am being quite reasonable here." And with that statement I felt as if I have being threatened to leave the pub.

Staying in a local Airbnb with my daughter and her friend we needed to grab some lunch before check-in and had the most lovely welcome when we popped in. We took a seat in the sunny beer garden and enjoyed delicious squid, courgette fritters and bavette steaks. Everything was cooked well and the service was super friendly and efficient. So good we went back for dinner on our last night and even though the place was busy with rugby fans this was in a separate area and the whole atmosphere was perfect and the food again delicious. Special thanks to Chloe for looking after us so well. 100% recommend.

If this is the one in East Dulwich, then it has a really good food and beer selection. Lots of screens for sport and a great beer garden.

I really like this pub, there is so much space inside and out. It is not so overcrowded as other local pubs and the music is at a volume so you can still talk to each other! But there is still an atmosphere. The bar staff are really friendly, and the food we’ve had has been very good. Highly recommend!

I've been a few times and I've always found it a nice, welcoming place on Sunday. Thanks to friendly team member Zara, (who has impeccable taste in retro Soul music) I now know how to request songs on the Jukebox too!! Will definitely be back.

It was my first visit but to be honest the best one out of all young pubs I’ve visited so far. Went in for one drink but ended up staying longer and had an absolutely amazing time. Shoutout to Jade and Will these two made me laugh out loud and definitely made my night. Even though I live nowhere near this place and my visit happened to be very random and very last minute, I think I’ll come over again- the service, staff and atmosphere were incredible THANK YOU P.S. was introduced to this new shot I never had - “Flat Line” - Sambuca, Tobasco & tequila - absolute banger - would recommend it

Cherry Tree east dulwich is a fantastic place to spend a couple of hours. Will and Zara ( everyone who works there is superb TBH, they know who they are.. Cerys, Jade, Liv, the mgmnt team) certainly know their way around a Martini or a cold beer. Check it out.

Ate there on a very busy night! The food was good: Decent Burgers, chips and Camembert cheese!! Unfortunately the kitchen ran out of vegetables so we couldn't try the tempura broccoli!!! We got asparagus instead but not much of it... It was delicious though!The service was nice and friendly and it was a meal that was value for money!The only thing that was not great was the state of the table which we had to ask to be cleaned!!

We went the cherry Tree today 6th Jun21.I had the vegan wellington roast and my better half had pork belly roastThis was probably the best roast we have both ever eaten, honestly the flavours were sublime..whatever the chef is doing I want to know. Absolutely delicious, amazing. Well done Cherry Tree 11 out of 10 all day long

I came here with my mum, brother and little sister and had a great time! Every single one of the staff team were amazing and friendly, so wonderful to my little sister in particular. The food was incredible - taste wise and portion size! Thank you.

the staff were for the most part lovely but came in on a sunday and the waitress literally said she was hungover and couldn’t be bothered with us and at a later point then shouted hard at me to the point we had to leave because she was so mean, never experienced a worst waitress in my life

The Cherry Tree is now my favourite local pub following many recent visits. The staff are so accomodating and friendly. The food has improved considerably since last year, following a long time of some very poor meals. I am vegan and can recommend the burger, although very common in pubs. On my last visit, my friends had the vegan roast dinner and it was really good. Even came with a yorkshire pud! Really good wine selection and of good quality. Same for the beers. They have done well laying out the pub since their refurbs and the pub garden is now excellent with plenty of space. Plus for sports fans, they have TV with the footie, rugby etc. Highly recommend.

Gonna go out on a limb here and say 1 of the 2 best roast dinners I’ve ever had out. Friend had the vegan option which they said - amazing, delicious, best vegan roast they’ve had. Yummmmmmmm 😋

Went for a couple drinks with the girls and had a great time!! Super lovely and attentive staff and really great atmosphere an serviced! We sat outside and there was good cover and a heater which was very welcome in the cold weather!!!

We booked a table for lunch and has a three year old with us. We were shown, by the slightly scary receptionist, to a table at the side of the pub and not the garden as we’d assumed. The receptionist said she’d check as to availability in the garden but never returned. The tables and stools were very high and not ideal for a small child. The staff serving food and drinks were lovely and very helpful. Food ok. We understood the necessity of app ordering but find it so remote and detached. Wd suggest giving more consideration to the actual guests needs when placing tables. So all in all it was ok but will try out other eateries next time.

Really nice place, Greta atmosphere, quick service staff very friendly! I would just see if a family are booking form out then underneath the tv when I football is in it makes it hard to eat and talk but I understand it’s busy! Will be back!

I went for my 35th birthday recently. We were first shown to a table for 2 (there were 6 of us) so we asked to be moved to the hut area at the back, which is where I was told we were going to be seated when I called to ask a few days before. The server came over at least 3 times during the meal to remind us we just had the table for 2 hours. 20 mins before the 2 hours was up, she came back to say we had to leave then because someone was taking over the whole hut area for their 50th party and needed to set up as they were going to be using all the tables. Firstly, that's illegal at the moment with Covid rules but we chose to ignore that part. Instead I reminded the server that it was also my party and that we had 20 minutes of our booking remaining, she said she would "see if she could put us somewhere else" while the other party just set up around us. We were moved to the side area for the remainder of our booking but 5 minutes after being sat there we were told we had to move as she had another table coming. We really just felt unwelcome from start to finish. Food was average, a recent menu change meant there were far fewer options than there had been a few weeks before. We're regulars but won't be going back anytime soon.

This is a pub I know well and like, now under new management as part of Youngs and there is definitely an improvement in service and food. The inside has been nicely refurbished and has a cosy feel. Hopefully we’ll be able to sit inside soon, too.The outside area is spacious and pleasant. It could do with a few heaters in the cold weather. We had a lovely meal at a reasonable cost. I will definitely return.

Have attended the Cherry Tree for years. It’s a super pub in East Dulwich, the staff are always great here, courteous and helpful! The food is always delicious With only outside seating for another few weeks, it would be more supportive if their gas heaters had gas and they had several! They need blankets or throws so you stay warm!Despite this still a great venue

We went there for a Sunday roast as a treat after lockdown. We’ve been to the Cherry Tree before but always sat inside so this was our first time in the garden. The garden was lovely and lots of space between the tables.The food was absolutely magnificent, we had the beef and the chicken and both think it was cooked to perfection. Looking forward to our next visit!

First pub we chose to go to after lockdown as we've had a few great night's there but this time we went was amazing the service was Fast and and covid safe we didn't feel rushed even though we only had an hour and a half slot, we will definitely be going back

Had our first post-lockdown lunch outside in the sunshine at the Cherry Tree, which has had a lovely makeover during the last lockdown. Very friendly and staff, including Henry the manager, and quick service with pretty good, reasonably priced food. Definitely, be coming back!

Pub has been spruced up and feels cosy, especially with the open fires. We had an excellent Sunday lunch, with roast Turkey,gammon and fish & chips. All served by a very attentive team. Thank you

We visited for lunch just after lockdown in early Dec and were really impressed by the seasonal menu, food, service and recent redecoration. Recommended.

Perfect place for a Sunday Roast, especially (but not only) if you enjoy sport. A cozy restaurant area with a roaring fire, separate area for watching Sky or BT sports and most importantly great food and beer to enjoy. I had succulent Turkey roast with all the trimmings and my son had a quality burger.

Booked table for 5pm .after choosing our meals told no roasts dinners left ..ordered burgers . No burgers left ..usually no complaints but disappointed on this occasion . Also long queue waiting to get in as not enough staff to cover main entrance desk

First visit, a couple of weeks or so with my wife and infant daughter, since lock... we had a lovely evening. A cozy and beautiful pub! Wonderful place to relax and have a slow drink. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is good too. The staff were absolutely wonderful, considering the current environment they have to work in, nothing was too much trouble for them. I’m very impressed how they have adapted. El 30 de ayer para encontrar una cola muy larga para el bar y el personal que tenía que trabajar muy duro para mantenerse al día, consideramos irnos porque pensamos que el servicio sería lento. Elegimos nuestra comida (todos los platos estaban disponibles) y pedimos bebidas, muy razonables con el descuento, nos sentamos a esperar. La comida llegó con prontitud, todo el personal fue muy amable y eficiente y la comida era deliciosa. Cuando nos fuimos, el gerente de turno se disculpó por nuestra espera anterior, le dije lo buena que había sido la noche y le agradecí el servicio. Pensé que escribiría aquí para que otros no se desanimen por el aspecto ajetreado del bar.

Good early on. But more staff desperately needed as the night went on. 3 staff (one of whom was the Manager) for a pub that size under the present restrictions was nowhere near enough to cope.

Came in for birthday drinks after work. Reserved 2 tables in the garden which was lovely. Staff were great despite a few of us struggling with the App. Service was quick. We took advantage of the eat out offer which was such good value.Please put the steak sandwich back on the menu!!

Great to be back at the Cherry Tree - service was prompt, the place was clean and the beer selection was very good. Beautiful to sit out in the beer garden in the Sunday sunshine. The buttermilk chicken burgers were excellent - the best I have had in a long time!

Good to have the Cherry Tree reopen. The garden had a make over last year and is now being well used. My only query would be that All customers should be using the Youngs on Tap App!

The interior is spacious and traditional (lots of wood and pleasant mixture of chairs and table), while at back is a quiet garden (despite mock grass). Landlord is efficient and friendly, although he might tell staff to use a tray to avoid lots of long trip with just two plates in hand!Never found the Cherry tree though.

First trip back to the Cherry Tree after lock down and so pleased it is open again. Staff brilliant and they are clearly trying very hard to keep everyone safe and well. Here's to whiling away many more evenings in the lovely garden. Food very good but Youngs needs to get its ordering app sorted. Very slow and took several attempts before orders went through. Teething problems I hope.

My partner and I had a meal here, passing through on the way home. We had Sunday lunch, food and service was excellent . I had the haddock and prawn pie, my partner had the trio of roasts. He is still talking about how good it was. Nice wine selection too. Good vegan choices for a pub, well done.

Just had the most delicious roast at the Cherry tree with my friends, definitely recommend the beef and my friend said she loved the veggie option. Can't remember the girl's name who served us, but she was really friendly and hopsitable. Definitely going to go back!

After a long stressfull day at work, a drink at the cherry tree just did it for me. Staff are great, Estrella is poored fresh and bubbly, and smacks are just tasty. Perfect start for a Friday night out!

Swung by the pub recently to try out the Sunday lunch, which I tend to be quite sceptical of as pub Sunday lunches can be quite hit or miss. Can honestly say the Cherry Tree’s Sunday lunch is definitely a hit. Portion sizes were generous and food was cooked excellently. The staff were very friendly when ordering and let us switch up some items. Will undoubtedly be coming back

I recently popped in with some friends for a few drinks and something to eat, the beer tasted lovely as well as the food. I found the staff to be very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. Great atmosphere, would definitely come again and would also recommend to friends and family. Me and a few friends popped in for the first time to have a drink and the pub looks all round great outside and in. The football and rugby were playing and the place was busy, so the atmosphere was good. They have welcoming staff and the manager of the pub is great, was chatting to customers and being very welcoming to everyone that came through the door. I would definitely visit again and possibly try the food it looked great!

Called in this Sunday for a roast. Had a fantastic afternoon with the family. Greeted by friendly staff on arrival, food and drinks were brilliant local ales always a treat. Fish and chips is massive and the roasts are next level. Will definitely be back. As I was leaving a staff member said goodbye from behind bar. Always a nice touch. Great pub food excellent, especially roast beef and yorkshire puddings. All the staff were very friendly and were a credit to the youngs brewery. You wont be disappointed.

I had a buttermilk chicken burger after work which was amazing, the chef pleased me substituting the fries for greens. The service was warm and quick, so I decided to stay for the rest of the afternoon sipping a couple of Tanqueray Sevilla with freshly squeezed orange juice. The ambience was lovely, smooth music, warm lights, and wood burning in the fireplaces made my experience memorable so I’ll be coming back soon. Thank you.

The cherry tree is a beautiful pub with nice staff, tasty food, good service and refreshing pints! I enjoyed my time eating and drinking at the pub today with my boyfriend, the food came in quick time and staff made sure we enjoyed it and had everything we needed; moreover, when I came with my family last Sunday they had a beautiful roast, for a very good price, with handmade yorkshire’s!

The roast was pretty disappointing. My half chicken was two chicken legs. It came with 2 small potatoes, some soggy cold butternut mash and cabbage. The beef wasn't as described on the menu, half of it was missing. It also lacked the seasonal veg. The vegan burger was pretty gross too. Hugely disappointed. Great pub to drink at but apparently not eat at.

My partner and I booked at 2pm for a Sunday lunch with two friends. The atmosphere was lovely as we were sat by the fire but the food and service was not up to the high price we were charged. Two of the dishes we ordered had run out, and the service was incredibly slow. We were nearly given the wrong mains, and my partner had to request more custard for his dessert as it was barely a spoonful in the jug. The food was average. Staff were friendly but the experience wasn’t worth the money.

My partner and I went to try The Cherry Tree as a possible venue for a U3a group Sunday lunch, and we were not disappointed. My roast beef was great,, just cooked right. The accompanying vegetables were all good and a bit different from the usual servings, and the Yorkshire pudding was good and enormous. My partner had steak and chips. She said the steak was rather chewy but very tasty, and the vegetables and chips were excellent. We were to full to attempt a pudding, but they looked good.

Recently moved into the area & decided to give it a try for Sunday lunch, read horror stories about the last landlord which put us off in the past but read it was under new management so gave it a go.

Arrived for lunch on Saturday. Pub atmosphere, not too crowded. Ordered steak. Beautifully cooked medium rare. However waitress forgot our drinks order and had to remind her. Steak knives need throwing out as blunt! My dinner knife was sharper. Other than that the meal was great. Clean, hospitable and would go again. A good pub location and meal.

£65 for 3 Brussel sprouts, 2 roast potatoes, grey beef and Bisto. The worst meal I have ever seen for this extortionate price. So bad was it, we sent it back. Youngs pubs you should be ashamed. Absolutely disgusting
