Called into the Cherry Orchard for lunch after shopping with a friend. It is years since I have visited and I was not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was good. Would recommend and will definitely go again.

Just been in here for a lunch with a couple of friends. Received a very warm welcome in lovely surroundings. Had a very tasty meal for a very reasonable price, lovely home made chips were a bonus too. Our order was taken at the table rather than having to wait at the bar, a nice touch. I would highly recommend a visit for a friendly, informal, home made meal. The over 55s menu looked fantastic value.

Never been here but looking for Vasillie & Debbie that ran this place in the late 1990's/early 2000's. I was great friends with Vasillie's brother (Efthimios) in Kavos but have lost touch. leave an e-mail address if you know them please.

Called in with friends after an enjoyable walk around Chester. The range of food on offer was very good, the portions are generous and very tasty. The service is excellent and friendly. A good range of bears on offer. We will definitely be call in on our next trip.

The Cherry Orchard does a great value lunch for over 55's. The fish pie and fruit crumble make a fine meal, complemented by a fine Theakston's bitter.

This small pub does really good food. Two courses (seniors) for £5.50 and two courses a la carte for £6.50. Although limited menu the choice of starters different from usual - e.g. smoked mackerel pate with smoked salmon and cream cheese, goats cheese on toast. The main course fish pie is exceptional. Friendly staff and comfortable surroundings. Good Italian coffee at a very reasonable price.

Don't bother. New to the area looking for a local... Not here! They look after their own. Beer is cheapish. That's why I awarded a 2. Barman thought he was Tom Cruise from cocktail. They served free food to locals but not us. Was made to feel as welcome as a fart in a wetsuit.

My car was in for tyres after booking via internet. Unexpectedly due to staffing I had been asked to leave it with them for an hour. I had headed for a meal at their branded neighbour to find the kitchen shut. As this is the only pub I know in area headed down the road and happened across here. Quite rustic inside and reminds me of a pub in any out of Dublin part of Ireland. Stood at the bar a couple of minutes ordered a drink and food - Lunch is £6.95 for 2 courses which is unbelievable value - ordered the Camembert and Fish Pie. Amazed by service and quality of food, when main came I was on phone to my friend and the server as I was on a tab asked do you want another drink which I liked particularly as most serving pub restaurants these days would have you heading to the bar yourself. Would recommend this as it blows anything out of the water in the Chester area (particularly the brands) and some independents in the city centre. Will definitely make an excuse to revisit with the family soon - keep up the good work. Also I've just read the other negative reviews and moved mine from VG to Excellent, that's what I think of those!

Jackie has really turned this place around. The decor is amazingly stylish and everyone is made to feel welcome. My mum is in her 80s and loves popping in for a quick cuppa in the afternoon. Likewise, me and my mates find it a great place for a good few drinks in the evening. The Cherry is now a great local Check out the quiz nights too. Fabulous stuff. Well worth a visit.

Being an avid theatre goer, we were intrigued by the name. The only thing you could say the two had in common was the fact that it was bitterly cold! Very little atmosphere, very uninviting and the staff just didn't seem to care. After seeing another groups food, we thought twice and went elsewhere! The place itself has so much potential, but it's got a long way to go, and certainly is not worthy of the name.

Had been redecorate to a good standard and the menu looked interesting . We were going to stay for food but the rudeness of the landlady was appalling very unfriendly and disinterested in talking. Would definitely not visit again.

My Wife and I visited the Cherry in Boughton last week on sunday.the pub has recently had a refurbishment, its quite nice but lacks atmosphere.we had starters of potato skins, these where 2 new potatoes, Wow never seen that before, I had pate and toast that was good thoughwe both had roast dinner 2 for £12.00 the roast was pretty good but had no roast potatoes they must have ran out, it was about 5 o clock so that may have been the case.I just wonder what they are trying to achieve at the cherry, if you do a refurb, and I would say its quite nice but looks unfinished, then you would put on a better menu to reflect the changes.I would try it again my wife didn't like it though.

Very cold, needs heating turning on. The decor is bland and grey. The pub from previous management has unfortunately been changed for the worst. Food was basic and also inferior to previous management. I fear for its future.

Bar maid made a good attempt to welcome us but unfortunately the pub was almost empty and cold and i had to keep my coat on. The food was basic nothing to attract us back which is such as shame as this is our local and we used to go there on a weekly basis.

The food is really appealing, well cooked and definitely good value for money. They have lots of offers on different nights and the new management and decor have really turned this lovely pub into a real treat. With these cold nights drawing in the open fire is very welcoming.

As a coeliac it is hard finding places I trust with my food. The Spinner & Bergamot is a delight, they take my auto immune condition seriously and the food is always 5 star. The pub has a real countryside vibe, with a fine dining area at the back. There is great outdoor space for the kids to play, and the staff are always very welcoming.

We stayed in Cheshire Oaks and this place was close to where we stayed that did a full English breakfast so naturally went here. The queue for ordering was quite busy and the one server on the bar was really coping well considering she was the only one available to take orders. I ordered our breakfasts and for the price, you really can’t complain at all but they really could do with more staff. We waited over forty minutes for a full English breakfast and scrambled eggs on toast. When we had it, the one server apologised for the wait but again, no fault of his own as he was also the only one serving and there were tables ranging from two people to eight people. The food wasn’t hot but wasn’t stone cold either but like other tables, drinks were finished before having breakfast. The only thing the place lacks is staff. If the two on breakfast today, had some support, even just an extra pair of hands, there would be more support not only to the staff working but to the benefit of the customer too.
