So glad that the pub has reopened and the landlord is such a nice guy. The beer was good, with a modest choice of ales. Great British pub!

Youthful place run by two newbie landlords ..great guys ..beer wine prices in line with whetherspoons No food ...pork pies available crisps etc, will allow food to be bought from local traders and consumed on the premises

Beautiful pub, the building is stunning with centuries of history. Also, the landlords Aiden&Owen are genuine good people who deserve your money. CHEAP pints of really good ales and lager. If you are in Fenny Stratford this is the only pub to go to! Darts board + free jukebox, please go here if you need a drink!!

Nice old style pub. Went in for a pint before football and was so good we returned again later in the evening. Timothy Taylor’s Landlord Dark ale on draught was delicious. Great atmosphere when filled up in the evening. Cosy with a selection of games to play. Will visit again!

Highly recommend. Great vibe, feels very welcoming and prices are really reasonable. Love the approach and the feel of the place, definitely worth checking out if you are in the area (and it's only a 5 minute walk from the Grand Union if you are passing through).

Fine if you're a local I'm sure. Bloke pushed past me to front of bar and ordered and guy behind bar served him despite me pointing out I'd been waiting five minutes. Rude.

Great to see the Chequers open again. Good choice of beer at reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Quite busy for a Saturday afternoon which is very nice to see.

Popped in for a cheeky pint as I had heard The Chequers has re-opened. I had a fabulous pint of Parabolic Spiral pale ale - really flavoursome, a floral finish & beautifully conditioned and just £3.80 for this loveliness. They're still building up the trade, but I shall definitely be back for more of Owen's excellent beer and so should you too!

Popped in to this lovely pub whilst visiting Family in MK. Understand that it is under new management and they have done a great job in making the pub a welcoming place. Cheap drinks, friendly service and an open fire ... What more could you want ?

No food isn't available at the moment. The pub has just reopened after a long period of closure. New management is great. highly recommended. The beers that are served are locally sourced.

Thoroughly nice little pub. Amazing garden area, but little in the way of custom. Perfect for a quiet drink, but I don't think the pub will still be there by Christmas as there's so little custom. Suggest the owner invest some time in social media marketing to get more punters in.

Proper real ale with a pleasant outside seating area. Robert the landlord always has a warm welcome for you.

From the fabulous landlord to the beautiful garden this old fashioned small quirky pub is just the place for a quiet drink !! Warm welcoming with a great ever changing selection of drinks.

Nice little pub near the MK Dons ground. Local real ales and a guest beer, all kept in top condition. Friendly landlord. Great stop for ale loving tractorboys!

What an excellent pub! A hidden gem in Fenny Stratford - the Sunday roast is extremely good, well cooked, freshly prepared and great value for money.They have a selection of well-kept and prepared cask ales and the time and effort that Rob the landlord has spent shaping this pub, with its flowered courtyard garden is commendable.Definitely recommend a visit here - well worth a visit!!

Very good ales. I had Red Kite and Veritas. Landlord was ok if not the most friendly. But he was talking with some regulars. So no complaints.

Great Real Ale bar, only back ground music playing, ideal to meet and have a chat. Food was good, have had a few Sunday lunches and pub snacks in the evening, all cooked to order. Courtyard area is great when weather allows, very colourful.

Great little pub, great host, garden always looking lovely, each time we’ve been there the customers are always friendly and as the landlord to which is always friendly too, we’re been here for a Sunday dinner just like your mum would makes which was lovely .5star to the pub and host,will be visiting again soon,,,.

Always passing this place and thought we would pop in for a drink before going onto a restaurant for a meal. While the range of beers and ale were good.The smell of greasy food coming from the kitchen wasn't.

Went before a Rammstein gig at MK stadium. Helpful and friendly staff, bar full of fans, the staff even put Rammstein on through their music system! Fantastic selection of Belgian, Trappist & Lambic beers, nice outside beer garden at the back. Just watch your head on the low beams!

Had a great afternoon at Chequers. The boss man was on point and running the show very expertly single handed. The beer was top quality and the service was exceptional. I had a plate of chilli which was very rich in flavor and had the right amount of meat. Rice was nice too.

First time here. Lovely knowledgeable bartender (larger gent) came across very welcoming and friendly, knew about his ales and offered a sample taste. Its nothing OTT but a good local pub. Good selection of ales.

Small friendly historic old pub. Regularly changes beers & porters... does food...I’ve become a regular.because of above No loud music etc.

As a CAMRA member I want to say that the Vale beers were in excellent condition. The pub has been revamped since I last went there and, the new landlord, Tim, has done an excellent job. Very friendly and knowledgeable chap. Apparently there is a chance that he will not be able to stay on if Vale sell the tenancy. Are they nuts? This guy is an absolute gem of a landlord - make sure you keep him Vale!!!

Been in Bletchley all my life and the Chequers was an OK pub, nothing special, nothing to make you want to go back, then 18 months ago it had a refurb, 3 separate small rooms and a fairly large bar became a small bar with the 3 rooms becoming one open plan bar, with nice warm decor, a fantastic array of real ales with a fair quantity of foreign craft beers to boot, gorgeous burgers too, would never go anywhere else in Bletchley now.

Visiting this pub for the first time in over twenty years and what a pleasant surprise ! With several real ales on tap and an array of bottled beers including Belgianand German ones I was really spoilt for choice but not disappointed with choice of Vale Brewery products on tap . A really proper little pub with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff , the only downside is I don't live in the area anymore but I will return next time I'm in the area .

I love this Bar. Great bears and variety, the food is good, fresh and also a nice variety. The interior is lovely, cozy and friendly. I’d recommend this place to anyone. It won’t disappoint. Enjoy!

Haven't been in here for years. Went to the beer festival and its all good. And they are featuring music every evening for the duration of the festival. Excellent

Really good selection of beers (obviously greater than normal on the day we visited, due to the beer festival that was taking place) and pleasant vibe. Nice to be able to sit outside and pub food selection was great too.

Terrific choice of both cask and craft, limited but excellent food menu. Laid back vibe. Go try!

Three steaks ordered and cooked as requested. Served by polite and courteous staff. The side portions of chips were cooked well and hot. What more could you want?

Whats not to like about The Chequers? Fantastic food, large selection of ales/gins/beers, the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and theres always a warm welcome from the staff.Also allows dogs (like all good traditional pubs used to) and its 2-4-1 burgers are legendary. Strongly recommend the No Beef Burger (Halloumi, Roasted Pepper and humous) with the Sweet Potato Fries. Onion Rings are massive and delicious too.

Nice food and surroundings. Not so keen on the beer choices but that's personal taste.

You could almost walk past thinking it was someone's house and I must say the warm welcome made us feel at home. There was a true array of beers, by the keg on tap and on pumps. Vale Brewery beers were offered for taste and duly selected to begin a very pleasant early evening. I can recommend the sirloin steaks which come beautifully cooked with fresh rocket salad. Service was excellent and as a real bonus we were able to take out 6 pints of real ale. Landlord Tim was super knowledgeable on keeping a good cellar and almost converted my wife to drinking beers - so long as they are served by him in the future! Thanks to all at The Chequers. A truly brilliant little pub.

Not at all like it used to be this pub. No Stella, strongbow and no fosters = no moody characters. Just great beer and wine. Belgium beers, cask ales, craft ales, craft lager and keg beers etc... dog friendly and even human friendly. Worth a visit to Bletchley

Excellent place to visit, food not on tonight so can't comment, not that we came for that. The beer selection is excellent and not many places have both hoppy for my partner and darks for myself which was a Cherry Stout from Magpie brewery. Not a pub that does CAMRA discount, but having won best in MK this year maybe that will change. No Wi-Fi, come on, in this day and age it's part of the expected service. Nice to see your barman knew his ales.

While cruising on the Grand Union Canal we came upon this jem, a short walk from the bridge.

At the end of last month, my wife & I decided our "Date Night" would involve a trip to The Chequers Pub. We had a great evening sampling the vast array of ales on sale from Aylesbury brewery. It happened to be 2for1 burger night and I must thank the chef as both our burger choices were amazing. Great value, Friendly atmosphere, Knowledgeable staff and the locals are great to chat to as well, they truely know there pubs best ales.

It's not often you come across one of these. Thankfully I'm not a local, because it would be the end of me. Food great. Ales,one of the best selections I've seen in a while,even do 2,4,6 pint carry-outs,at £2 a pint. Real ales from tap or straight from the keg, and a massive selection of European bottled beers. I'm back in town next week, think I'll be staying here
