We had a lovely meal and Richard was great.

Had a very nice meal, Dave was our server and he was very attentive. Highly recommend Miller and Carter in the Xscape.

The whole experience was a mixed, we went there for the rare treat menu which was advertised to be extended to Feb7, we arrived and sat and waited for at least 15-20mins until someone came to take our order, and we only found out there was no set menu when we are ordering, we have got no choice but to choose something else from the a la carte menu, and we wanted to get one of the steak sharing plate, half way through I was confirming my order, I was again told the one that we are ordering is not available. It was quite disappointing already at that point, and they seems to be understaffed and the lady who took our order seems a bit annoyed and impatient. We then have to ordered the most expensive sharing plate from the menu. After ordering, we waited for another 28 mins for our food to finally arrive, it was just about us deciding to cancel the order to go somewhere else as we were hungry and disappointed about not having what we came for available. The food was fine, but nothing wow, and to be honest it doesn’t worth the amount of money it costed us, steak a bit overcooked but still taste alright, we didn’t want to bring it up because we were so hungry we just want something to eat. Overall it wasn’t a very good experience compared to what I’ve been told from a lot of my friends that Miller & Carter has very high standard of services and good food. Don’t think I will be coming back anytime soon but I might still give this restaurant chain (at least other branches) another opportunity in the future.

Such a lovely restaurant to come to, we used to go to the other branch in Milton Keynes but now only come here. Staff are lovely, restaurant clean and warm and inviting. Food always lovely and being able to see into part of the kitchen is a bonus

Been to Miller and carter many times and had great meals and experience. This branch is not up to standards. Entered restaurant and 2 staff members had an argument in front of us. Waitress rude and slow and didn't care if we enjoyed it. 2 couples either side of us had problems. Onion loaf not cooked Took ages to get the bill and pay

Came in for a birthday meal and everything was perfect. The camembert was wonderfully gooey, steak was beautifully rare and tender, and cheesecake was delicious. Dave was a brilliant server and the birthday plate was a lovely touch! Thank you 😃

We came here to use some vouchers we got for Christmas. The food was spot on and Matteo our server, was friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience! Will be returning.

Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The restaurant was noticeably understaffed, which significantly impacted service quality. Food service was painfully slow, with long waits that tested our patience. Drinks were left sitting on the bar for at least 10 minutes before being brought to the table, which is far from ideal. To top it off, the steak quality was underwhelming and did not justify the high price tag. I expected much better for the cost. Overall, it felt like the establishment was struggling to deliver on basic expectations.

I had an inconvenience with my original booking for a birthday date so I quickly rang them and they were able to set up something for me . They really came to my aid and saved the day . I would rate the mocktail a 10/10 and so are the starters . The steak would be a 7/10 as I was really looking forward to it and didn’t meet my expectations as others described but that might have to do with the time as I was one of the last customers to leave before they closed. Genuinely it was still a 10/10 experience .

We had a lunch reservation on a Sunday and, unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The service was slow and not particularly friendly, which set the tone for the meal. Several items from the starter menu were unavailable, and the same applied to a number of desserts, which was frustrating. While the steak was excellent, the overall presentation of the food was quite average. We’ve visited M&C several times before, but each experience seems more underwhelming than the last. The quality and experience feel hit-and-miss with no consistency, which is quite disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. We’re not sure if we’ll be returning anytime soon.

I recently visited Miller & Carter on Sunday, 12th January, around 12:30, and left feeling very disappointed. I arrived with a sleeping baby and requested to be seated in a quiet corner to avoid waking them, but was told the section was closed because only two staff members were working. Despite explaining that I knew exactly what I wanted to order and would place it immediately to minimise any inconvenience, they refused to accommodate my simple request. This lack of flexibility and consideration was incredibly frustrating. Disheartened, I walked around the corner to Kobe Steakhouse and had an exceptional meal with outstanding service. It’s clear they value their customers, which unfortunately I cannot say about my experience at Miller & Carter. I won’t be returning.

We had pre-booked a table for 2 for 16:30 on a Saturday. It was less than half full at the time, but it still took about an hour for us to receive our meals. The drinks we ordered from the menu were also out of stock. It was evident that they were very short staffed and struggling. They did the best they could under the circumstances, but unfortunately, this fell short of a typical Miller and Carter visit, and therefore our expectations.

Always love the food here. Our server Kyle was a great, very attentive and efficient.

We had a work party here last night at one of your brunches in MK. Everything was exceptionally great. Great atmosphere. The food was delicious and it came out very quickly, despite there being over 20 people, and the service was amazing from Andrea and the team. I highly recommend this place. Great job guys, thank you. We will definitely be back.

Lovely Christmas day dinner at the Xscape restaurant. Service was excellent by Abhi. Nothing was too much trouble and he was very polite and professional throughout. Christmas dinner was really good and plenty of it, cauliflower cheese was amazing. Souffle was good and the Christmas pudding was very good. Only slight let down was my partner had the surf an turf. The scallop was very over cooked and rubbery. Last year we went to the Shenley Branch and the meal really wasn't very good. This year it's was amazing at the Xscape.

Visited Miller and Carter on Christmas Day (which was also my birthday). Had an amazing experience of fabulous food, great customer service, relaxing setting and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend! Danielle and the food runners made us feel very welcome and ensured we were happy during our visit :)

I've been to this Miller & Carter a couple of times now- once for a 30th birthday dinner, and then again last week for a girly Christmas dinner. On both occasions, we have experienced great food, a lovely atmosphere and the service has been fantastic! The food is hearty and indulgent, especially around Christmas time- the festive menu has loads to offer and lots of delicious choices. I love their Black Angus Sirloin! It's a shame I can't remember the name of the gentleman who tended to my table on both of my visits- he is chatty, friendly, personable and makes sure you are looked after. He's also great at upselling and recommending menu items. My friends and I are planning on coming back next Christmas for another dinner- we all agreed that our most recent experience was excellent! I think this is also an excellent location- MK Xscape already has loads to do, but this is a great option if you are looking at doing a really action-packed day with a nice meal at the end!

Lucy was super lovely and attentive, food was perfect as always. The only thing was the drinks wait but we ordered cocktails so semi-expected.

This was my second time visiting a Miller and Carter. Loved the 50 aged steak. Everything cooked to perfection. Thank you all.

We visited Miller and Carter for some Xmas shopping lunch and all I can say is I wish we hadn't bothered, will honestly say it's the worst experience I've ever had at a food establishment. The customer service was terrible we had a drink and some starters then had to wait over 45 mins for our mains, the mains was not great at all we both had the bacon cheeseburger it was dry had no flavor other than the sauce which is shocking as it says the burger is succulent and flavoursome we decided not to finish the food the chips were over done and most stuck together, we then had to get up and get our own cutlery as we had asked the lady for some new ones and she completely ignored what we asked for, we then had to wait another 25 mins at least for another drink. All 3 waitresses kept dropping food or plates and the little girl on the table next to us had her whole lobster tail lunch dropped on her covering her in food and oil. The woman who served them made the most pitiful of apologies and didn't even offer to have the food taken off the bill shocking service will never ever visit a Miller and Carter again in my life. When I paid the waitress laughed at me when I clicked on the no tip option as she must of thought I was joking. Clearly I weren't management need to address the staff on great customer service. If there was a option for no stars I'd would give it. What a waste of a hard earned £79

Came here to celebrate my sister's 15th birthday and the food and service was great. Dave was our server and he was very friendly and informative about the different type of cuts and what would pair nicely. Thank you for making it a lovely evening!

Food was good, service was ok, we did go to get our own drinks mid meal from the bar after waiting ages for someone to come round. Few of the bar/waiting staff had bad body odour unfortunately, not very pleasant when eating.

Been here a few times now food is always great as well as the staff. Especially Dave who makes you feel very welcome.

I visited with two friends on a Friday night, a couple of weeks before Christmas - my rating is four stars rather than five because we waited quite a while for our mains and dessert was a little disappointing, but otherwise everything was lovely and our waiter was great. I had the spinach and camembert pastry, which was very good and came with a generous serving of seasonal vegetables. I then had the tiramisu for dessert, which was mostly very nice but was unfortunately served in a little pool of coffee - that bottom layer of sponge was absolutely sodden and the taste of coffee was far too strong because of it, but the upper layers were much nicer.

Overall the food was good, however service was very slow due to a large group booking. Our waiter was great and very apologetic, there wasn’t much he could do. Fantastic fillet steak. Tiramisu would have been great too had it not been served sitting in a pool of cold coffee. Unnecessary and adds nothing

I went to a Miller and Carter restaurant in York and the service was terrible. They could not fulfil our order and gave me a £75 voucher to spend at another Miller and Carter restaurant. I took my Mum to Miller and Carter Xscape and it was a very different experience. The food was great, the service was great, we had a laugh and it was a great celebration for my Mum's 95th birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the good food and service made all the difference. Kyle was our waiter and he was attentive, knowledgeable, polite and charming.

I will start with the positives which were the staff, who were lovely eg friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The interior design was nice and the place appeared to be clean and well maintained. The wine glasses were good quality. Unfortunately, what lets this place down is the food. The quality of the ingredients was clearly cheap and the general taste was just meh. I had a burger…which I would say was fairly unpleasant and my fellow diners had steak, and although they requested medium rare, it was more well done. Did we complain? No. Pointless as this is obviously the level of cooking ability they have, but we just won’t be back.

If you’re in Milton Keynes and your stomach is growling louder than a rock concert, head straight to Miller & Carter. I decided to treat myself to a meal here, and boy, was it a treat! The star of the show? A T-bone steak so large it could double as a doorstop. The ambiance is top-notch – think classy steakhouse vibes with just the right amount of cozy. The staff are fantastic, making you feel like royalty from the moment you walk in. They even gave me a mini masterclass on the different cuts of steak, which was both educational and mouth-watering. Now, let’s talk about that T-bone. It arrived on a plate that could have been mistaken for a small table. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, it was a carnivore’s dream come true. Each bite was a little piece of heaven, and I savored every single one. The sides were no slouch either – crispy fries, fresh salad, and a sauce that made everything even better. By the end of the meal, I was so full I considered rolling out the door. But it was worth every delicious bite. If you’re a steak lover, Miller & Carter in Milton Keynes is your mecca. Five stars, and then some!

Really really enjoyed our lunch here. I thought it was good value at £20 for 3 courses. We loved the calamari and steaks. I enjoyed the sorbet but my Dad said the caramel profiteroles were too sweet. The service was great and I can’t wait to come back!!

Customer service was good. We were met promptly, shown to our table, Kyle was helpful and prompt and all other staff were pleasant enough. The food was underwhelming and overpriced. Nearly £200 for a family of 4 is expensive and we didn’t even have 3 courses! We all had calamari to start and it was very plain. The sauce helped slightly, but even that was not very flavourful. My son had a burger and the patty was overpowered with onion. My wife and I shared a butchers block. The ribeye was stringy and full of fat. The rump and fillet were nice but for a steak specialist location we expected a lot more. The chip portion was disappointing. Overall, ok but I doubt we’ll return any time soon as it’s too expensive for average food.

Another visit to a different Miller and Carter and the same result, amazing food, super friendly staff and a thoroughly enjoyable evening had. The Butcher's block was soo tasty with a good variety of meat just right for two. Will definitely be back, back again and as always an excellent steak cooked perfect and amazing service.

The ONLY positive was the waitress Deborah. Wine was expensive but was poor quality, the Rioja. The food was bland. We had the scallops side order, cooked well, but no flavour. It was only when I got the bill that I saw that they were meant to be garlic scallops. I think the garlic may have waved at them from across the kitchen.

Excellent fillet steak and all the trimmings as always

We visited on a busy friday night, and despite the pace of the evening we found the staff friendly and attentive. A bit of a wait for the food which was understandable, but everything was spot on for us. Beautiful steaks, sauces and sides! One tricky karen with absolutely no hint of public grace or decorum made a scene at the hardworking chefs, but we felt they had a brilliant team front and back of house. We thanked everyone specially, with enthusiastic ringing of the bell, which was humbly appreciated. Great effort from a brilliant team, fantastic evening. Special thanks to Simon for being a good laugh the whole time! And creme brulée was top notch!

I took my girlfriend for dinner and she ordered an burger the burger had a afro hair in the burger! The food was remade and brought out to find another afro hair was in the food it put us off massively

The lady who severed us the best she could , but the place was cold everyone had there jackets on the steak arrived perfect but every that wen with it all cold , and I would say it wasn't because the heating it was cold because it must been siting there along time before the steak was cooked , the beer tasted flat so it was lucky enough there was bottle beer to replace that

Came to Miller & Carter for my birthday meal. From the get go Dave was incredible, just the right amount of attentive to ensure everything was okay but also allow us to enjoy our food! Had a lovely time today at Miller and Carter ! Credit to Abhi who was extremely accommodating, professional and really knowledgeable about the menu when we had queries on our choices as well as making sure we were all good with our food and drinks throughout are time dining in . He really made our experience a great one dining in and we really appreciated his service . The food was very fresh and exactly how we wanted everything from starters, mains and dessert it was all to a high and wonderful standard . Myself and my husband had a wonderful time and look forward to returning back .

No matter how delicious the food is, I put 1 star every time. The big "lady" at the reception is an absolutely disgusting, cynical, unmannered woman ,my friends were shocked by her service, bypass this restaurant by the 10th side, there are places where exquisite food and the same service! And here it feels like I came to eat at her house for free! Disgust!!!!

At the entrance there was no one attending the reception, he was actually setting up tables and escorting one booking at the time to the next table he made available. When we sat down the waiter approached us quickly, he explained also the menu. Consider it is a steakhouse I was expecting a better selection of wines. The food took a while, we specifically asked for the kids menu to come as soon as ready, they put together with our mains taking ages to be ready. The steak was very average, we had the 50days dry aged selection and I couldn't feel any dry-aging flavour from the meat. It meant to be medium, I believe it was a slightly over towards the medium well. The waiter came to check back before we had the first bite and I asked him to come back later. At that point I realised his effort (I believe the team was struggling to keep up with the pace of the restaurant) and I didn't mention anything to don't drop his mood and motivation. But unfortunately we found it very average, especially one of the sauces, it was far away from chimichurri, we asked to have another one instead.

We came for our one year anniversary. Service was so nice, gentle, caring, the young lady was very kind & checked up on us often. Food came quickly, & so did drinks. Starters were great. The mains were good, had fillet steak, and my fiancé had the chicken burger. The deserts however were too sweet & sickly(Brownie & apple pie) We could barely eat them, and we asked to have them taken off since we barely ate them. The young waitress said she would have to ask her manager. The manager only took off my fiance’s brownie because she is pregnant, but not the apple pie because of “personal preference” Most likely not coming back. Disappointed because the previous times everything was perfect.

Whoever the front of desk or manager was on 13th September wasn’t professional. Making silly remarks or putting people in awkward positions ain’t funny . Definitely won’t be returning ever again

Went there for dinner we were greeted by so called manager.However I ordered fillet mignon medium rare and it came out overcooked. So called manager argumentative try to prove me wrong sarcastically trying to say if I don’t speak English he can explain to me on few others… Won’t come back or recommend

My husband and I dined on July 26th to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. We ordered the 28oz CÔTE DE BOEUF steak, which was cooked to perfection, truly the best we had in a long time. The customer service was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We can't wait to return.

Miller and Carter was once a place you went to for a nice meal. It’s now just another harvester. The tables are sticky, the menus covered in food and the staff blunt and rude. The big give away is that it is no longer busy, I remember struggling to get a table at short notice. The steak was grey and poorly cooked, ending up with a plate full of liquid and a pitiful onion loaf. I don’t think the chain is for me anymore, they forgot what made the good.

Hi myself and my partner had a fantastic meal on Sunday evening after going to the Reggae festival and the service was great when browsing through my bank statement the next day I was charged £16 over what I paid at the restaurant that night I rang the restaurant that day and spoke to the manager he was very helpful and found that the waiter that served us that night so very kindly added it onto the bill himself has a service charge without saying anything which I already tipped him £5 in cash earlier so please be very careful what your paying for before you leave and check your bank statement after .

Tried to dine here last night. Arrived at 21:30 only to be told very abruptly by the waitress/manager? “We’re shut” despite opening time being listed here online as 23:00. Arrived at 20:00 this evening to try again. Lots of empty tables but told no space for two as they don’t have enough waiters according to the same rather nonchalant waitress/manager. Kind of a joke for a restaurant like this. Won’t be wasting a 3rd try on this place. Mostly due to the couldn’t care less attitude from this person on the door.

We recently came to Miller and Carter on a Friday evening. We were shocked on the service and quality; After waiting an hour 45 minutes, We were served cold food, the sauce for the steak had separated so you could tell it had been sat for a long time. We was offered no discount or any compensation, Spent over £100 on two cold fillets, starters and drinks. Me and my partner were very disappointed to say the least, As a result; We will not be returning! I would rather spend more money at KOBE Steak House, and be presented with something worth paying for.

Food - I had prawn cocktail to start. Can't go wrong with prawn cocktail but for a restaurant of this calibre, I expected better quality prawns than the supermarket special version I got. Tasteless and tiny. I ordered sirloin steak, medium rare. When it came, I did query whether it was a sirloin, it was a weird shape, thick at one end, tapering to thin at the other, with no fat on the edge. And it was cooked medium in my opinion, see photo. My partner's burger was very overseasoned ( too peppery) and the side of sautéed greens we ordered were luke warm and raw, not even "al dente". Service was ok, our waiter was fab, friendly and smiley but it seemed orders were going all over the place rather than the correct tables. I think they had an "off night", never had a problem there previously, and our bill was amended to take account of dissatisfaction.

We arrived earlier than expected and the staff were really helpful in accommodating us. Service was brilliant. Food was amazing. This was the first time my daughter and I had been to a Miller and Carter restaurant and we loved it. We will definitely be back .
