Miller and Carter Steakhouse in Milton Keynes

We had our team party here and the team went above and beyond to ensure we were all happy. Food was delicious as were the cocktails. Thank you to all of the Team and Chefs for accommodating such a large party of us, we had a great time!

This place was a lovely experience and food was great. Would recommend. We had a great customer service provided by Dave,10 out of 10

Unfortunately one of the worst experiences I and my colleagues have ever had at a M&C and we have been to quite a few! Not a busy night as was a Wednesday.. maybe 10 tables in total. We ordered a Penfolds red and when it was brought to the table it was already open, which is fine, however, unbelievable the waitress just poured and had the audacity to suggest no one actually smells and checks it’s not corked… anyway!! Not the worst! That was to come No water offered for the table we had to go and find the waitress, when the bottle arrived so did just one glass, not three as we did t stipulate how many glasses we needed 😂. Starters came, which was nice.. then the wait… 1 hour before our salad wedge.. and the main came at the same time.. my steak was cold so sent back to be flipped on the grill. One guests steak was good My other colleagues fillet was so fatty he couldn’t eat it so has to send back.. 40 mins later still no replacement, by this time we had all finished When it came back it was worse than the first.. the waitress even said she wouldn’t feed it to her dog, and that she often takes home un used steaks.. she offered to get her manager as she could see we weren’t having a good experience .. She actually said I’ll get my manager to come see you “he’s the foreign one” Honestly.. you couldn’t make this up. He wasn’t too bothered to be honest, and said we would get comp desserts.. We could see them turning people away who came in due to lack of staff.. During the meal the service was terrible, no service to see if we needed more drinks.. Definitely wouldn’t return, many more steak houses in MK to try

Usual Miller and Carter offering, but below our experiences elsewhere. One onion loaf was delivered in a semi broken up state. The sautéed greens were half burnt (black). Quite surprised that someone thought it okay to serve up half black greens. It was a Monday so perhaps the main team were on a day off following a busy weekend.

Food was good. Service was not. It felt like us being there was an inconvenience. It wasn’t busy so that wasn’t an excuse. Disappointed as I had heard good things.

Food was absolutely delicious, had a rib eye and it was cooked perfectly to my tastes, sides and starter were also amazing. Can't recommend the restaurant enough.

We had lunch on a Saturday and the restaurant was busy. We were well served by Tracey who provided us an outstanding service, attention to details and also she was assisted by Andrea (Manager). We had a great meal again, I do recommend their steak sandwich as a good option for a light lunch and also Calamari as starter.

I would totally recommend the butcher’s block. The service was great. Abhi was charming and funny. Will visit again for sure!!

We came for a midweek meal (with our daughter) our waiter Matteo was very patient and understanding when our daughter wasn't sure what she wanted. As always food delicious and relaxed atmosphere

Although the food was brilliant, the service was a little slow considering how many people were in the restaurant, although all the staff seemed friendly it took a while for drinks and then food.

Food, service and ambience were all perfect in speed of arrival to table and cook. Lovely cocktail choices. I recommend Fillet Mignon Rare. Reliably perfect.

Went here tonight as a late mother day dinner and was taken care of by Abhi. What can I say, nothing short of an exceptional dinner and even better service, we couldn’t have had a better time, even if we had tried we’ll definitely be coming again and recommending to friends and family!!!!

Have been many times before however on this occasion service was extremely slow and the food wasn’t its best this time round which has deterred me from coming again any time soon.

The food is great. They should have more staff. The poor waitresses were run off their feet, yet they were attentive and friendly. My daughter said they were lovely.

This was our first time visiting today and it won't be our last! We chose from the set lunchtime menu and I had the calamari starter which was huge and absolutely delicious, so tender! Followed by the warm salad for mains which had roasted squash, cous cous, avocado, topped with loads of juicy king prawns. Very well priced too. The service was great and the food was all brought out fast. 10/10 I highly recommend.

We go annually and for the last two years we have been served by Dave. We ended up at the same table, with the same seats and always order the same food. The service has always been exceptional and steaks have always been cooked excatly how we like them. Thank you Dave for always making a special birthday treat for my daughter, that little extra.

We were a little worried about using this restaurant having had such a poor experience in Bedford. We had been given a gift voucher as a Christmas present so didn’t want to waste it, so off we went. Needn’t have worried, it was a good meal, well cooked and presented, very tasty and lots of it! Tracey was our server and she was very bright and bubbly. This branch has restored our faith in M&C and we will be returning.

Accommodated a table of 8 of us comfortably, food was absolutely spot on, great service regularly checking if we needed drinks and timings were perfect. Highly recommended.

Wow!! Iv been wanting to go to Miller and Carter for some time now and I was not disappointed one bit the food, drinks and atmosphere was perfect and I will definitely go back. I had the sourdough and butter to start with, followed by the 50 day aged 10oz black angus filet mignon with beef dripping sauce, chunky chips and lobster tail and the garlic mayo & grana padano wedge dressing it was just absolutely delicious.

Food was very tasty, steak cooked well and plenty of sides and garnish. The shareable cookie covered in ice cream and marshmallow was very indulgent. Sadly service was lacking, long delay between starter and main, salad arrived ten mins before main. No one checked how the food was and ordered drinks that never arrived.

Food was great and our server Dave was really friendly, chatty and made us all really welcome. Fab experience.

Food was great &service was some of the best I’ve ever had (thank you Lucy!). Was a bit confused about the random addition of pop/dance music and dim lighting at 10 to 6, but otherwise a lovely evening!

Dave was remarkable! Couldn't be more attentive if he tired. A every nice evening had by me and my partner. X

Richard’s was outstanding. Nothing too much trouble. Food wasn’t good, but the last 99 visits were outstanding so just a one off. Will still return.

We reserved a table and still had to wait 30 minutes just to be seated. Then, we waited another 45 minutes with no waiter in sight. We ended up having to flag down another waiter just to be told to wait because our waiter was busy. We have gone to your other restaurants a lot, and we take our International guests there all the time, so it was utterly embarrassing to have guests there and be treated worse than McDonald's does with take-out. We are both from the entertainment—leisure business world, and I can honestly tell you this is not how you run a business. The staff all need some proper training on handling guests. You should always remember that we are guests in your restaurant. So, the staff should not make us feel like they are doing us a favour by serving us.

Last minute decision to eat out, warm welcome by Dave, felt very looked after. Food hot and tasty, nicely cooked and presented. Had the Valentines week special, good value for money.

A work colleague recommended we ate here when I explained I was looking to eat a steak dinner for my birthday. It was a good recommendation. The food was great as was the service. I only mentioned in passing it was my birthday when asked by our waitress what we had planned next. So it was a nice touch and surprise to receive the birthday plate. The only negative was that having never eaten here before we visited the website for the dress code. My wife felt uncomfortable having applied what was stated only to discover several patrons wearing shorts and flip flops or tracky bottoms.

Dave was really attentive and a really great asset to your team. Food was wonderful but the experience was all down to Dave’s amazing service. Thank you so much.

I really like this restaurant. The staff are always very friendly and the service is good. The food is always cooked to my liking and it tastes great.

We had a lovely meal and Richard was great.

The whole experience was a mixed, we went there for the rare treat menu which was advertised to be extended to Feb7, we arrived and sat and waited for at least 15-20mins until someone came to take our order, and we only found out there was no set menu when we are ordering, we have got no choice but to choose something else from the a la carte menu, and we wanted to get one of the steak sharing plate, half way through I was confirming my order, I was again told the one that we are ordering is not available. It was quite disappointing already at that point, and they seems to be understaffed and the lady who took our order seems a bit annoyed and impatient. We then have to ordered the most expensive sharing plate from the menu. After ordering, we waited for another 28 mins for our food to finally arrive, it was just about us deciding to cancel the order to go somewhere else as we were hungry and disappointed about not having what we came for available. The food was fine, but nothing wow, and to be honest it doesn’t worth the amount of money it costed us, steak a bit overcooked but still taste alright, we didn’t want to bring it up because we were so hungry we just want something to eat. Overall it wasn’t a very good experience compared to what I’ve been told from a lot of my friends that Miller & Carter has very high standard of services and good food. Don’t think I will be coming back anytime soon but I might still give this restaurant chain (at least other branches) another opportunity in the future.

Such a lovely restaurant to come to, we used to go to the other branch in Milton Keynes but now only come here. Staff are lovely, restaurant clean and warm and inviting. Food always lovely and being able to see into part of the kitchen is a bonus

Been to Miller and carter many times and had great meals and experience. This branch is not up to standards. Entered restaurant and 2 staff members had an argument in front of us. Waitress rude and slow and didn't care if we enjoyed it. 2 couples either side of us had problems. Onion loaf not cooked Took ages to get the bill and pay

Came in for a birthday meal and everything was perfect. The camembert was wonderfully gooey, steak was beautifully rare and tender, and cheesecake was delicious. Dave was a brilliant server and the birthday plate was a lovely touch! Thank you 😃

We came here to use some vouchers we got for Christmas. The food was spot on and Matteo our server, was friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience! Will be returning.

Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The restaurant was noticeably understaffed, which significantly impacted service quality. Food service was painfully slow, with long waits that tested our patience. Drinks were left sitting on the bar for at least 10 minutes before being brought to the table, which is far from ideal. To top it off, the steak quality was underwhelming and did not justify the high price tag. I expected much better for the cost. Overall, it felt like the establishment was struggling to deliver on basic expectations.

I had an inconvenience with my original booking for a birthday date so I quickly rang them and they were able to set up something for me . They really came to my aid and saved the day . I would rate the mocktail a 10/10 and so are the starters . The steak would be a 7/10 as I was really looking forward to it and didn’t meet my expectations as others described but that might have to do with the time as I was one of the last customers to leave before they closed. Genuinely it was still a 10/10 experience .

We had a lunch reservation on a Sunday and, unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The service was slow and not particularly friendly, which set the tone for the meal. Several items from the starter menu were unavailable, and the same applied to a number of desserts, which was frustrating. While the steak was excellent, the overall presentation of the food was quite average. We’ve visited M&C several times before, but each experience seems more underwhelming than the last. The quality and experience feel hit-and-miss with no consistency, which is quite disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. We’re not sure if we’ll be returning anytime soon.

I recently visited Miller & Carter on Sunday, 12th January, around 12:30, and left feeling very disappointed. I arrived with a sleeping baby and requested to be seated in a quiet corner to avoid waking them, but was told the section was closed because only two staff members were working. Despite explaining that I knew exactly what I wanted to order and would place it immediately to minimise any inconvenience, they refused to accommodate my simple request. This lack of flexibility and consideration was incredibly frustrating. Disheartened, I walked around the corner to Kobe Steakhouse and had an exceptional meal with outstanding service. It’s clear they value their customers, which unfortunately I cannot say about my experience at Miller & Carter. I won’t be returning.

We had pre-booked a table for 2 for 16:30 on a Saturday. It was less than half full at the time, but it still took about an hour for us to receive our meals. The drinks we ordered from the menu were also out of stock. It was evident that they were very short staffed and struggling. They did the best they could under the circumstances, but unfortunately, this fell short of a typical Miller and Carter visit, and therefore our expectations.

Always love the food here. Our server Kyle was a great, very attentive and efficient.

We had a work party here last night at one of your brunches in MK. Everything was exceptionally great. Great atmosphere. The food was delicious and it came out very quickly, despite there being over 20 people, and the service was amazing from Andrea and the team. I highly recommend this place. Great job guys, thank you. We will definitely be back.

Lovely Christmas day dinner at the Xscape restaurant. Service was excellent by Abhi. Nothing was too much trouble and he was very polite and professional throughout. Christmas dinner was really good and plenty of it, cauliflower cheese was amazing. Souffle was good and the Christmas pudding was very good. Only slight let down was my partner had the surf an turf. The scallop was very over cooked and rubbery. Last year we went to the Shenley Branch and the meal really wasn't very good. This year it's was amazing at the Xscape.

Visited Miller and Carter on Christmas Day (which was also my birthday). Had an amazing experience of fabulous food, great customer service, relaxing setting and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend! Danielle and the food runners made us feel very welcome and ensured we were happy during our visit :)

I've been to this Miller & Carter a couple of times now- once for a 30th birthday dinner, and then again last week for a girly Christmas dinner. On both occasions, we have experienced great food, a lovely atmosphere and the service has been fantastic! The food is hearty and indulgent, especially around Christmas time- the festive menu has loads to offer and lots of delicious choices. I love their Black Angus Sirloin! It's a shame I can't remember the name of the gentleman who tended to my table on both of my visits- he is chatty, friendly, personable and makes sure you are looked after. He's also great at upselling and recommending menu items. My friends and I are planning on coming back next Christmas for another dinner- we all agreed that our most recent experience was excellent! I think this is also an excellent location- MK Xscape already has loads to do, but this is a great option if you are looking at doing a really action-packed day with a nice meal at the end!

Lucy was super lovely and attentive, food was perfect as always. The only thing was the drinks wait but we ordered cocktails so semi-expected.

We visited Miller and Carter for some Xmas shopping lunch and all I can say is I wish we hadn't bothered, will honestly say it's the worst experience I've ever had at a food establishment. The customer service was terrible we had a drink and some starters then had to wait over 45 mins for our mains, the mains was not great at all we both had the bacon cheeseburger it was dry had no flavor other than the sauce which is shocking as it says the burger is succulent and flavoursome we decided not to finish the food the chips were over done and most stuck together, we then had to get up and get our own cutlery as we had asked the lady for some new ones and she completely ignored what we asked for, we then had to wait another 25 mins at least for another drink. All 3 waitresses kept dropping food or plates and the little girl on the table next to us had her whole lobster tail lunch dropped on her covering her in food and oil. The woman who served them made the most pitiful of apologies and didn't even offer to have the food taken off the bill shocking service will never ever visit a Miller and Carter again in my life. When I paid the waitress laughed at me when I clicked on the no tip option as she must of thought I was joking. Clearly I weren't management need to address the staff on great customer service. If there was a option for no stars I'd would give it. What a waste of a hard earned £79

Came here to celebrate my sister's 15th birthday and the food and service was great. Dave was our server and he was very friendly and informative about the different type of cuts and what would pair nicely. Thank you for making it a lovely evening!

Food was good, service was ok, we did go to get our own drinks mid meal from the bar after waiting ages for someone to come round. Few of the bar/waiting staff had bad body odour unfortunately, not very pleasant when eating.

Been here a few times now food is always great as well as the staff. Especially Dave who makes you feel very welcome.
