Middletons Steakhouse & Grill in Milton Keynes

Lovely atmosphere and interior decor but most importantly the food is amazing, decently priced and the staff are very friendly and courteous. Our servers George and Pacey were amazing and made sure our lunch was spectacular.

We had an amazing meal at Middleton’s for our second wedding anniversary. Yulia was I’m a waitress and she was amazing. Very attentive to our needs and kept our children smiling which allowed us to enjoy our meal. 10 out of 10 service and food to match!!

Julia was very polite and welcoming and the food was also amazing the steak was cooked perfectly this is definitely one of the best places to go for a good steak would highly recommended

Went to this restaurant with a group of friends . Ordering was a hassle so couldn’t order what I wanted for some reason. When my ordered food arrived the starters of garlic mushrooms was so salty and so I couldn’t eat it. The waiter didn’t ask why I hadn’t eaten much so I told him the starters was not at all tasty I couldn’t eat it. He just continued to collect the plates . The salmon for my mains was served on a bed of cold broccoli along with some unidentifiable sauce . I am writing this whilst in the restaurant. I can’t wait for my pudding . But being with a group of friends it’s difficult to complain as some food was ok, some was poor . Would I recommend anyone to visit this place . It’s a definite no.

First time coming here for my birthday had a very warm welcome was seated quickly, ordering food was quick and service we received was outstanding! Got said happy birthday to and the guy was very warm and attentive who served us. Also got given a complimentary pudding as it was my birthday free of charge which I found lovely! overall would rate this restaurant 5 stars! Fab service and great food! Will defo be returning again. :)

It was very nice to go to The food was brilliant and enough for me. Staff were friendly and were willing to talk and have a laugh with you, a key attribute! Service was quick for what we ordered! However, the atmosphere was little. The decorations there were top notch, but there wasn't really anyone really there. It's as if it was some private restraunt that I had booked to myself. It was quite expensive but justified! Overall, it is a very nice place and highly recommends for very nice food and a full stomach upon leaving!

Appalling service . We waited in the entrance and left. & they didn’t even care as they were chitchatting & playing with each other near the till, lots of spaces were available. If you are manager Check your cctv around 07:40

The food was amazing and large portions. Wine selections was great. The staff are not trained and very slow and looks lost. There was not a female staff in sight and I think that's the reason for the slow service. I will return because of the food.

Came here on Saturday with my pals for my birthday I ordered fillet steak and asked for it to be medium rare, was cooked incorrectly, service was extremely slow overall experience was not great, for the price paid I think food and experience should be a lot better don’t think I’d come back

For a streak house you expect them to know how to cook steaks had to send 2 back as we ordered medium rare & they both came out blue witch was unacceptable. Not to mention they forgot our cutlery & the service was very slow if you want a steak for dinner out don't bother with here. Not to mention they have a reputation for selling lobster witch makes no sense as there is no lobster on the menu at all.

Everything was amazing, the staff are super friendly and attentive, the food was incredible and whilst not cheap, very good quality so you don't mind paying. The venue is amazing. We was there for a meal and drinks prior to watching a show at MK theatre so was there from about 4pm-6.30pm it was busy even at those times and for good reason. We would definitely visit again and would highly recommend.

Middleton has always been great, my partner and I would come all the time in the past but this was our first visit in over a year. Just as good as I remember, service was quick, the place was clean and looking good. Staff were incredibly friendly. We were served by Pacey who was fantastic, attentive and quick. I asked for a drink which wasn't on their alcohol menu and he went and made it happen with zero fuss. He noticed it was my birthday and made sure my dessert had a little candle. Highly recommend Middleton and very, very pleased with Pacey as our server!

Through booking and upon entering I was under the impression that this restaurant was a trustworthy place that I could take my girlfriend on a date and impress her, sadly this was far from the case, albeit the waiter was fantastic I can’t say the same for the chef firstly I ordered a classic grill this consists of 5oz serloin or ribeye a lamb steak 2 supposedly good quality sausages and gammon! The steak I asked for rare and it came that rare the underside was still completely pink in places, I told the waiter and he was more than understanding and took it back to the chef to be REHEATED/RECOOKED and when it returned it was overcooked on top of that the lamb steak I asked for rare this came well done and the gammon, although I know tends to be salty, tasted like the Dead Sea. Moving onto my girlfriends meal she ordered an 8oz serloin and asked for it to be well done this was served medium rare but what was really funny is the fact her steak was considerably smaller than mine, bearing in mind my steak was supposed to be 3oz more, I was offered £10 off my meal but I said that I wasn’t happy to pay for the meal at all and there was no question and I didn’t pay for it! All in all avoid this restaurant unless your looking for disappointment, this place adverts itself to be something it’s entirely not, in my opinion I would compare it to a weatherspoons meal but quadruple the price and a better atmosphere.

I was in my granddaughter's 21st birthday group... most of the steaks were chewy & gristly, & were spat back out onto the plates. They were so bad that one of the party got his half price. I don't eat meat so opted for the cauliflower curry & to be honest I cook a better one myself. We used to go here regularly & it was good but following this experience, which was fed back to our server, I'll avoid.

Excellent food & service. Highly recommend the Bottomless Brunch. It’s only one course, could be improved with 2 course option but the staff were attentive and kept the drinks flowing as we expected. Looking forward to returning.

Fabulous steak and a great relaxed atmosphere. Would've been five stars but just realised I've been charged for two glasses of wine when it was only one.

The service and the atmosphere was really good but the food I had wasn’t the best. I’ve definitely had better steak before.

Visited for dinner on a quiet Sunday afternoon. We asked for a table away from other guests as our Son is Autistic and can be quite loud. They were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely waiter and barman. Food was delicious! Would return.

Did a bottomless brunch here, food was excellent and good choices, cocktails were questionable very sweet and syrupy, beware the order your last drink half hour before the end policy so it's really 1.5 hour bottomless and finally the toilets stunk of sewage called the manager over and told him but he said we should have used disabled, maybe share with your guests at the beginning! With service charge £40 each, not as good value for money as others in MK

I had the Spanish grill. It was extremely dry. Did not enjoy it at all.

Staff don't want to serve After going many times they changed menu and didn't list items in a meal and almost kill me by not knowing and eating the food and they didn't care still made us paid and walked out before mains it was that bad

Working locally so popped in for a bite to eat, the steak was delicious, cooked perfectly (10oz rump) , quite quiet on my visit so the service was excellent, I would definitely recommend it and I’ll definitely be back

Came for a bottomless brunch today and it did not disappoint! The food was lovely and the drinks were flowing Sebastian was great checking in on us and making sure we aways had a drink. A lot of places put many restrictions in place but this was very relaxed and we had a great time. Will defiantly be coming back and recommending

Ordered sirloin but I have had better cuts of Rump plus was under cooked and they forgot part of my order. With the exception of a young woman who seemed to do everything the other two men did very little. Despite the cooks keep saying service so to collect the food only the young women seemed to oblige. I was tempted to remove the optional service charge they automatically add but that would spite the young woman who did all the work and who I couldn’t fault.

Outstanding, attentive, service and the food was good. It was also reasonably priced.

Incredible visit to Middleton's in Milton Keynes. Food was outstanding and the service attentive and friendly. They have some new additions to their menu and I highly recommended the Monk Fish Curry, just WOW! It's definitely not just a steak place!

Have not been here for a number of years as was not impressed with either the food or the service on my last visit. However, today I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. We all went for the set menu, I had the cauliflower curry with a side of fries (😬). The portions were unexpectedly immense for a lunchtime meal, so much so I had to have my dessert as a takeout! Only (very small) niggle was the waiting time for our food, making our lunch break longer than it should have been 🤷‍♀️

Visited on a Sunday evening, and it wasn’t too busy. The food was lovely, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

If I could rate this 0, I would! Horrendous service, food was inedible, and we waited 2.5hrs for our mains! Restaurant was not even half full, no excuse for such a delay! I will not be returning!

Came here for my birthday meal 6 adults and 4 kids. Starters all came out at different times, had a cocktail spilt over my white dress, mains all had something wrong with them, to the point where two of our party ate after the main party had finished. The meal was completely compensated for, but I can not get over how much stress and anxiety this caused me on my birthday. After being recommended to go here I was very excited, but found myself wanting to leave my own birthday dinner halfway through. Even though the meal became free we didn't stay after everyone had eaten as after the 4 hours we had spent waiting and complaining had taken its toll on the children. With only a couple tables to serve and this meal being pre-booked I expected more then cold dinners and staff saying they'll fix it, but then leaving us alone. I don't like to write negatively about restaurants, but this experience was so upsetting that I felt compelled as the price point isn't cheap and if you had gone here for a special occasion I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what we did. The food actually is nice when it all comes out correctly it's just a shame.

Shame! This use to be a nice place to go but todays half empty restaurant on Father’s Day said it all..! Slow service - waitress clearly not trained I blame management not her! Asked if she could clear plates whilst still eating and all round poor knowledge of even asking how a steak should be cooked. Food quality was nice but I do feel there is much better out there. Cheeky adding in 10% service charge for 1 adult and 2 children!

We went recently to the Milton Keynes branch of Middletons Steakhouse. The service and the atmosphere were very good. The food was very good with the exception of the steaks, which were presoaked in salt and were so salty that we could hardly get down our throats. Steaks in a steakhouse should be very good. Since when do steaks come presalted?

The food was of a very high quality and is a very romantic place. Would definitely recommend it for a date night. Good location and played some absolute bangers.

This would be so much nicer if I didn't have to shout over the music.i go out for a meal for a social and to enjoy a chat. Music should be a choice, it shouldn't be enforced.

Had a brunch here. There was 10 of us and 2 of us were not drinking so mocktails are on offer. I do think its unfair the non alcohol drinkers pay the same price as someone drinking alcohol. Plus there only so much mocktails someone can have, 1 /2 in the 2 hours your allocated for the brunch. Food is good an tasted good too..we had a young lady serving us and she was so polite and friendly. If booking for a large group of more than 5 be aware that they put a service charge on the final bill which makes it £38.50 per person for a brunch...or you can ask the waiters to take off the service charge (do not be embarrassed to do this as the extra money goes the the resturant and not the waiters like it should) so all in all a nice but expensive brunch.

Celebrated our anniversary today with my parents, my Mum is now in bed with hot sweats and has been violently sick since eating the steak and prawns. The service was slow the food has made my mum ill and will never visit this restaurant again.

I'm going to start my review by saying that the food was very tasty. The steak in particular was wonderful, really top class. It wasn't cooked as it was ordered though and that's just the start of the issues. Our server was lovely, they were funny and helpful but clearly overrun and that impacted the service in a big way, getting a second round of drinks was really difficult as an example. Then they clearly forgot to cook one of the meals on our table of 5. We waited for 15 minutes for that meal show up, no real apology was given for that but it meant that for everyone else their food had started to go cold as we waited. Another person in our party ordered the mixed grill... This is over £35 and it was tiny, I honestly thought something was missing but no, it was all there just very small, really small, this feels like a cheap trick if I'm honest because it was not £35 worth. I wouldn't go back or recommend this restaurant I'm afraid. The steak was standout, the rest was poor and that ruined the enjoyment of the steak.

We were in MK Central shopping centre and there didn't seem to be any good places to eat, a quick Google maps search and Middleton's Steakhouse popped up, and 8 minute walk and we were there, Saturday evening and didn't need to reserve a table, there were a few loud groups at the front so we asked for a quiet table and we got a window seat at the back, very nice👍 We ordered 8 and 10oz rib eye steaks wife's medium and mine well done, mine came with garlic butter sauce and was great, even the side salad tasted nice, which makes a change. My wife's was very rare inside but she ate it and enjoyed it, Her peppercorn sauce was hot and over salted, Staff very attentive and chatty. We did leave a tip, then noticed the "optional 10% service charge" So watch out for that.

To start with, I've asked for fresh mint tea and got Twinings Peppermint tea which tased as it would be a black tea. New potatoes had no taste at all, large salad leaves had a visible mark looking like they are not fresh. Steak was not too bad, but not great. Best out of all were sugar snap peas which were awesome. Had to remind there is a drink missing and later the rest of the food as well. When we asked for bill, we were not even asked how was everything. Not worth the money we have paid.

Food was not as expected. We went for a family meal and especially to have a good stake. Meat was poor quality and hard. Salmon was over baked. Not worth for the price. We were seated very next to the kitchen despite having other tables free. Good ambience however depends on where you are seated.

Had quite a nice meal here. My T Bone was supposed the be medium-rare though, and arrived rare. For a steak house there’s really no excuse in not cooking a steak properly. Other food was okay though and service was good.

First time here, had the Mixed Grill. Decent food to be fair, ribeye was lovely, as was the chicken, although the ribs were a little skimpy on meat. Service was lovely though. Really liked Eleanor

Went for a birthday treat for our son. Fabulous service from Eleanor our server. She was very attentive, lovely and happy to help. She even brought our son a little birthday treat without asking. It really made his night. The food was lovely and hot too. Service impeccable. The manager and the resturant should be very proud of her, the way she is with customers and gives Middletons a good name

I have given 5* for my experience, I went here for a bottomless brunch for my birthday, Joe was our server and he was absolutely brilliant, food was delicious and drinks were good too, the only downside was one of the people who came out with me is pregnant and had to have the bottomless brunch and was obviously not drinking any alcohol, she ended up paying more as she had diet coke which was added to her bill! I don't think this is right at all, she shouldn't have had to pay extra for being pregnant!

My friend and i were looking forward to a lovely lunchtime sunday roast and we can honestly say its the worst meal we've ever experienced. The presentation wasn't great to start with and if i wanted to eat food that was so salty you couldnt taste the actual food itself i would have stayed at home and tipped the whole tub of salt into my own cooked food! Dreadful!

The welcoming was lovely but the service was a bit slow . The cocktails were great but the food was a total mess, the fries had a bad taste and smell , I don’t know if the oil was re-used , the steak too was a bit stale and the pork was salty, Please improve for other new customers, it was my first experience with my husband but we didn’t enjoy it at all .

We were treated to a New Year’s Eve meal by our Son , it was my first visit to this Restaurant … I have to say I wasn’t disappointed the food and service were amazing . The atmosphere in the Restaurant was friendly and happy . I had the Beef Wellington , usually I like my steak medium as no pink so when it turned up as pink as it could be I did wonder , but it was delicious , certainly the best bit of steak I’ve had from a restaurant/Pub for a long time as I usually steer away from steak due to so many times having a bad meal . I couldn’t fault the evening at all

Slow service, nothing more than overpriced microwave food! Save your money and time! Oh and absolutely dirty floor! I had to clean the table and the floor myself with napkins, it was that filthy!

Disappointing Xmas meal - tired food only just warm & staff failed to control a drunken table of adult men. Prices ok until they add the service charge - used to be a great place - now it's just another poor "all bar one". Pay the extra and go to Browns 50 mtrs down the road.

Booked for a celebratory lunch for my mum’s 75th and it was a disaster, horrible food that left one of our party with a cracked tooth which now needs to be removed as it’s that bad - avoid the lamb kofte as it’s not prepared onsite but bought from a third party so who knows what’s in it (bone or gristle maybe?) The waiter was very apologetic and helpful but not once did a manager, the chef or a team leader come out to speak to us. Rather than address the issue they sent out a disclaimer / accident form to sign. The food was poor, one steak was brought out with us being told the chef wasn’t confident about it, it was overcooked and tough as boots. The BBQ burger was cold as it had been sat under heat lamps that did nothing. We didn’t bother to stay for dessert or anything like that as the whole experience soured our afternoon. Definitely won’t eating here again, just a really poor experience for a place that had been recommended.

We had a fantastic meal last night for my husbands Birthday. The food was excellent. The staff were very attentive and we were very well looked after. They even sang to him and put a candle in the desert! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I enjoy eating out and found Middletons Steakhouse and Grill on Google which we decided to try and I am so glad we did. First impressions were, well impressive to say the least. A clean, well presented restaurant with the kitchen in full view which only added to the ambiance. Service was prompt from the minute we walked in and the waiter did consider whether we want to sit in a more quiet part of the restaurant instead of bunching customers together to make their job easier. The service was also attentive without being constantly in you face. The food was definitely the best part of the experience. It was cooked to absolute perfection, served hot and extremely tasty. I was pleasantly surprised. A very well deserved 5 stars. Thank you to the staff for making my dinning experience so enjoyable.

Visited 07/10/2023 - Overall, poor. Main let down was the service. We ordered, drinks arrived in good time but they forgot the jug of water, which I had to remind them for. Small plates came out, and yes they are very small, mostly good apart from pork belly which was awful. Waited ages for these to be cleared away, mains arrived and my beef Wellington had horribly soggy pastry. No mid-meal check on the food by any waiting staff who seemed far too busy doting on the two tables of young pretty women either side of us. After finishing, they then came to check how it was, to late. Then seeing we were finished then left without taking the plates. 10 minutes later they came to take the plates and didnt offer a dessert menu. 10 more minutes and they came back and asked if we wanted a drinks menu. Ages later they came back and we were fed up and asked for the bill, which I was shocked to see a 10% service charge for 2 persons, plus the service was awful so I asked for it to be remove, especially with the bill being the best part of £100+ Wont be returning for a while, haven't been in a while and it has certainly gone downhill!

The Bottomless Brunch is ok if you just want to drink but other than that, there's no strong reason to come here. There's nothing especially wrong with it, it's just very ordinary and run-of-the-mill, with the downside that the venue is like a barn with very basic seating and tables. There are much better places to go nearby, with better food, service, atmosphere, etc.

Had a lovely 3 course meal from set menu with 2 of my friends. Food and drinks were great. Ciara O Brien was an excellent waitress, very helpful and friendly.

16 of us for bottomless brunch for 30th birthday. The food was great and the service was even better, drinks on flow and couldnt do enough for us. :)
