Middletons Steakhouse & Grill in Milton Keynes

We were in MK Central shopping centre and there didn't seem to be any good places to eat, a quick Google maps search and Middleton's Steakhouse popped up, and 8 minute walk and we were there, Saturday evening and didn't need to reserve a table, there were a few loud groups at the front so we asked for a quiet table and we got a window seat at the back, very nice👍 We ordered 8 and 10oz rib eye steaks wife's medium and mine well done, mine came with garlic butter sauce and was great, even the side salad tasted nice, which makes a change. My wife's was very rare inside but she ate it and enjoyed it, Her peppercorn sauce was hot and over salted, Staff very attentive and chatty. We did leave a tip, then noticed the "optional 10% service charge" So watch out for that.

To start with, I've asked for fresh mint tea and got Twinings Peppermint tea which tased as it would be a black tea. New potatoes had no taste at all, large salad leaves had a visible mark looking like they are not fresh. Steak was not too bad, but not great. Best out of all were sugar snap peas which were awesome. Had to remind there is a drink missing and later the rest of the food as well. When we asked for bill, we were not even asked how was everything. Not worth the money we have paid.

Food was not as expected. We went for a family meal and especially to have a good stake. Meat was poor quality and hard. Salmon was over baked. Not worth for the price. We were seated very next to the kitchen despite having other tables free. Good ambience however depends on where you are seated.

Had quite a nice meal here. My T Bone was supposed the be medium-rare though, and arrived rare. For a steak house there’s really no excuse in not cooking a steak properly. Other food was okay though and service was good.

First time here, had the Mixed Grill. Decent food to be fair, ribeye was lovely, as was the chicken, although the ribs were a little skimpy on meat. Service was lovely though. Really liked Eleanor

Went for a birthday treat for our son. Fabulous service from Eleanor our server. She was very attentive, lovely and happy to help. She even brought our son a little birthday treat without asking. It really made his night. The food was lovely and hot too. Service impeccable. The manager and the resturant should be very proud of her, the way she is with customers and gives Middletons a good name

I have given 5* for my experience, I went here for a bottomless brunch for my birthday, Joe was our server and he was absolutely brilliant, food was delicious and drinks were good too, the only downside was one of the people who came out with me is pregnant and had to have the bottomless brunch and was obviously not drinking any alcohol, she ended up paying more as she had diet coke which was added to her bill! I don't think this is right at all, she shouldn't have had to pay extra for being pregnant!

My friend and i were looking forward to a lovely lunchtime sunday roast and we can honestly say its the worst meal we've ever experienced. The presentation wasn't great to start with and if i wanted to eat food that was so salty you couldnt taste the actual food itself i would have stayed at home and tipped the whole tub of salt into my own cooked food! Dreadful!

The welcoming was lovely but the service was a bit slow . The cocktails were great but the food was a total mess, the fries had a bad taste and smell , I don’t know if the oil was re-used , the steak too was a bit stale and the pork was salty, Please improve for other new customers, it was my first experience with my husband but we didn’t enjoy it at all .

We were treated to a New Year’s Eve meal by our Son , it was my first visit to this Restaurant … I have to say I wasn’t disappointed the food and service were amazing . The atmosphere in the Restaurant was friendly and happy . I had the Beef Wellington , usually I like my steak medium as no pink so when it turned up as pink as it could be I did wonder , but it was delicious , certainly the best bit of steak I’ve had from a restaurant/Pub for a long time as I usually steer away from steak due to so many times having a bad meal . I couldn’t fault the evening at all

Slow service, nothing more than overpriced microwave food! Save your money and time! Oh and absolutely dirty floor! I had to clean the table and the floor myself with napkins, it was that filthy!

Disappointing Xmas meal - tired food only just warm & staff failed to control a drunken table of adult men. Prices ok until they add the service charge - used to be a great place - now it's just another poor "all bar one". Pay the extra and go to Browns 50 mtrs down the road.

Amazing food. Starters, bang bang ribs, sauce is amazing. Piri piri mixed grill main, knock out..... loved it all to be honest, will definitely be returning.

We went here for a Christmas party dinner. Service from Georgia and Denise were outstanding! 100% recommend and we will be coming back next year!

Booked for a celebratory lunch for my mum’s 75th and it was a disaster, horrible food that left one of our party with a cracked tooth which now needs to be removed as it’s that bad - avoid the lamb kofte as it’s not prepared onsite but bought from a third party so who knows what’s in it (bone or gristle maybe?) The waiter was very apologetic and helpful but not once did a manager, the chef or a team leader come out to speak to us. Rather than address the issue they sent out a disclaimer / accident form to sign. The food was poor, one steak was brought out with us being told the chef wasn’t confident about it, it was overcooked and tough as boots. The BBQ burger was cold as it had been sat under heat lamps that did nothing. We didn’t bother to stay for dessert or anything like that as the whole experience soured our afternoon. Definitely won’t eating here again, just a really poor experience for a place that had been recommended.

Always enjoy Middleton's it is good food, and a nice atmosphere quick waiting times for food and doesn't break the bank !

We had a fantastic meal last night for my husbands Birthday. The food was excellent. The staff were very attentive and we were very well looked after. They even sang to him and put a candle in the desert! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I enjoy eating out and found Middletons Steakhouse and Grill on Google which we decided to try and I am so glad we did. First impressions were, well impressive to say the least. A clean, well presented restaurant with the kitchen in full view which only added to the ambiance. Service was prompt from the minute we walked in and the waiter did consider whether we want to sit in a more quiet part of the restaurant instead of bunching customers together to make their job easier. The service was also attentive without being constantly in you face. The food was definitely the best part of the experience. It was cooked to absolute perfection, served hot and extremely tasty. I was pleasantly surprised. A very well deserved 5 stars. Thank you to the staff for making my dinning experience so enjoyable.

Lovely place food delicious. We were a large party they catered for us very well. I'll go back to try the steak next time.

Visited 07/10/2023 - Overall, poor. Main let down was the service. We ordered, drinks arrived in good time but they forgot the jug of water, which I had to remind them for. Small plates came out, and yes they are very small, mostly good apart from pork belly which was awful. Waited ages for these to be cleared away, mains arrived and my beef Wellington had horribly soggy pastry. No mid-meal check on the food by any waiting staff who seemed far too busy doting on the two tables of young pretty women either side of us. After finishing, they then came to check how it was, to late. Then seeing we were finished then left without taking the plates. 10 minutes later they came to take the plates and didnt offer a dessert menu. 10 more minutes and they came back and asked if we wanted a drinks menu. Ages later they came back and we were fed up and asked for the bill, which I was shocked to see a 10% service charge for 2 persons, plus the service was awful so I asked for it to be remove, especially with the bill being the best part of £100+ Wont be returning for a while, haven't been in a while and it has certainly gone downhill!

Table of 17 last night for my sons 18th - everyone from James to our waiter Lucas was fantastic . Food was outstanding but the service made it - thank you all. Kind regards Toni

The Bottomless Brunch is ok if you just want to drink but other than that, there's no strong reason to come here. There's nothing especially wrong with it, it's just very ordinary and run-of-the-mill, with the downside that the venue is like a barn with very basic seating and tables. There are much better places to go nearby, with better food, service, atmosphere, etc.

Had a lovely 3 course meal from set menu with 2 of my friends. Food and drinks were great. Ciara O Brien was an excellent waitress, very helpful and friendly.

16 of us for bottomless brunch for 30th birthday. The food was great and the service was even better, drinks on flow and couldnt do enough for us. :)

I had a bottomless brunch here. It is excellent value for money. For about £40 you get a proper meal and a choice of any 8 (I think) drinks from the brunch menu. Staff were friendly and attentive and made sure to top us up when they noticed we'd finished our drinks. They also didn't start the booking until we'd ordered our first drinks, which was very nice of them! Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend!

My starter calamari and my main which was a rib eye steak with blue cheese sauce was amazing then to end it off i had the creme brulee. I would definitely recommend going to this restaurant.

First time visiting Milton Keynes and a Middleton's Steakhouse Branch and what a great experience it was. It had the best steak I have ever tasted! The ribs were to die for. They have a pretty decent cocktail list also, the ones I ordered tasted great. Great customer service. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

The food was really tasty, juicy and attractive. We had burgers and they were delicious. It was midafternoon and we found it a bit dark. I do recommend a visit.

Regular customer at Middletons, it's a lovely classy restaurant with a varied menu. Everything we've tried has been delicious which makes choosing so hard! The staff there are always welcoming and so helpful which makes eating out such a great experience here. Love it.

Went to the Middletons in Milton Keynes on Saturday night for my Sons birthday, I wish we had booked elsewhere. We had 2 guests that only eat fish we were informed after placing a drink order that there wasn’t any fish dishes available which meant they had to have starters for main courses. The starters were tasteless, the mains covered in so many herbs that they were overpowering and the steak was underwhelming cheap cuts of meat. The whole experience was dreadful and excessively expensive, the real sting was the Service charge of over £20 that was automatically added to the bill a disgrace. On the outside it looks great but leaves a lot to be desired we will never return here and would not recommend it to anyone.

Group of 11 and all said they enjoyed their main meal. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Food was fine but definitely could be better and so could the value for money.

Absolutely amazing food and service, the steaks here I believe are one of the best around, especially for the price, staff were very attentive, couldn't of asked for more really, so if your thinking if going here, then think no more and try it, you won't be disappointed. See you again soon.

We went as a group of 4 adults with a toddler mid week. It was quite quiet when we went. Food was gorgeous, staff were super friendly, interacted with the toddler and made great accommodations for my gluten intolerance. I would definitely return.

Great steak, but Wi-Fi broken and no 4G signal, food ok, unfortunately toilets are awful, very dirty, 3 years overdue a deep clean and can barely get the doors shut.

The food was okay however the waiter got our food order wrong. during eating the fire alarm went off and when we got the bill there was a added 10% service charge.

Went here for date night and was really disappointed. The plates were chipped and don’t order the Mac and cheese if you don’t like blue cheese as it’s filled with it but it’s not specified on the menu, they didn’t remove it off the bill even though I had one bite of it. My chips had clearly been sat under the hot light and refried

Possibly the longest lunch of my life. If you are not prepared to spend 3 hours on a lunch, don't go. Waited an hour just to get a starter from a set menu. Was the food worth the wait? Not really. It was quite salty. Cheesecake not great either... The app gives £10 off but provides nothing else.

This is an OK place for a steak or burger. It is central MK so it is a concrete box like everywhere else in central MK. For those not familiar with MK, take care when parking nearby not to get charged the city's premium rate whatever the colour of the lines. The side nearest the road should be standard rate.

Went to Middletons yesterday for bottomless brunch with my friends, it’s the best one we have been to so far in Milton Keynes! Service was great and our waiter was really friendly and attentive, he come over regularly to see if we needed more drinks. The food was really nice and great portion sizes too and the cocktails were great, didn’t taste like just juice like some other places. We will defo be back great value for money and atmosphere :)

6 of us came for their bottomless brunch which actually runs into the evening. Amazing value at around £32 with lots of cocktails options, Prosecco and draught beer. I was very impressed with my meal. I had the steak frites but paid an extra £5 to upgrade the steak to sirloin. It was cooked as I requested it and was really tasty. The drinks kept flowing and service was great. A fab bottomless brunch 👍👍

Absolutely wonderful food and very attentive staff. My only fault is that the service charge is added to bill without asking if you want to pay extra. Feel you should be given the choice. After a lovely meal (that isn't chaep) leaves a bit of a bitter taste. Would like the option of deciding to pay more on top.

We had Steak platters and Mac and Cheese that came with sides of fries and wedges. Or shall I say extremely unseasoned fries and wedges. They were freshly cooked no doubt but completely unseasoned. And the Mac and Cheese was quite average as well, extremely cheesy with no other flavours or seasoning. Overall not so good on taste but expensive on the pocket. Not visiting here again. The food took a very long time to arrive as well.

Service slow asked for ketchup but never arrived ordered more drinks took nearly 20 minutes,very noisy people can't have a conversation music far to loud, food some ok the chicken on the mixed grill was dry and the pork ribs were soft and mushy

Went for a birthday celebration,, can not fault the food,, the starters were an upgraded version of what we have become used to in all of the years that we have been dining out. The steaks were thick & perfectly cooked..all credit to the chef/s....

Came for brunch a couple of weeks ago with 2 friends. I had been there many years ago and couldn't quite remember the experience then. It was certainly good to visit again. The time we arrived was really quiet so we got the best of service, the staff were attentive to our order (though he got one part of the order mixed up but he graciously rectified things) Bottomless brunch is great for those who like their drinks 😊 the portion sizes were huge...ordered hotdogs and nachos thinking it would be regular sizes, by the time our food came out, the table was packed with plates of food 🙌🏼😁 Great tasting, well seasoned food. The mocktails we had were lovely too (strawberry fizz is the best in my opinion) The wait time was about 25mins. I found the cheese on the nachos a bit too much but still great tasting. For the wine lovers, you get bottomless prosecco all throughout your stay. Many options on the menu for brunch including vegetarian. Kids friendly restaurant. It can get really noisy once packed with people which was the case an hour and half after we sat down. The bathroom was decent but not well lit. Parking around here is paid. It's in the heart of the city centre and about 10-15mins walk from the train station. The decor is ok and I like the fact that you can see the chefs in the kitchen while they cook. I would recommend it for a casual hangout 😊

Booked a table for Sunday evening arrived on time and was greeted by a very polite gentlemen, and the food was incredible. I ordered the 8oz Fillet steak and the 2 prawn upgrade, delicious that is all I can say! The fillet was so tender...

Sebastian was an amazing manager he went above and beyond and really took care of us. He was proffesional and friendly..and he was very strong ge carried so many plates at once.

This is certainly one of the worst restaurants I have ever been in for the price you pay. Its seems like the place is run by kids that don't have a clue. The food was OK but the service was average. Seeing as this is probably one of the most expensive places to eat in MK if you compare what you get then just go to KFC instead.
