I eat a carnivore diet, therefore I eat a lot of beef. Best steak I’ve had in a restaurant without a doubt. Had an Argentinian Fillet. Will try Japanese or Australian next time 🥰 Thank you! 🙏🏼❤️

I attended this venue with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. Looking at the menu prior to visiting, we were very impressed by the advertisement and presentation of different meats and dishes. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted by friendly staff and seated within seconds of arriving. Alex M was our server for the evening and was very attentive, polite, and had a very well-educated answer for every question we had. The chairs must be one of the most comfortable I have ever experienced. The restaurant in general had a very clean, tidy and professional aesthetic. The tables for 2 give more than enough space for multiple dishes and the touch-lamp lighting is perfect for creating a positive environment. For starters, we had steak tartare and Burrata. The steak tartare was brought to the table to be prepared in front of us. This alone was a great experience. Alex was respectful not to interrupt our conversations while doing this but made sure that the dish was prepared to my preferences. Both starters were very well-presented and in good portion with an outstanding taste. For mains, we had the Argentinian 500g sirloin steak cooked blue, with a side of mashed potatoes, king oyster mushrooms, and bearnaise sauce. My partner had the Wagyu beef burger with signature fries. Both dishes were outstanding. The presentation was immaculate, portions were very generous, and the attention to seasoning and taste were not forgotten. Alex explained to us that the desert menu was not available at that time, and so brought a plate of all options to the table and gave us a description of each one. This was very professional and impressive for us. Drinks included a generous glass of Rose wine, a pornstar martini, and bottled still water. My partner was extremely impressed with the lack of bitterness in the martini. The bill came to £140 with the service charge. We were both amazed at such a low price for such a great meal and experience in general. We will happily recommend this establishment to anyone and we will happily return. Side notes - the kitchen is hidden behind a party wall which reduces noise and smell pollution to the seating area. The toilets were kept very clean and organised. The music was a touch too loud upon arrival but seemed to quieten as time continued. We dressed very formally for this establishment but do not feel pressure to do this as there were customers in tracksuits. The biggest downside is that the classy, clean interior does not reflect the shopping center it is located in. 10/10 expereince.

Incredible steak but don’t bother with the sushi. Absolutely amazing quality beef, delicious and cooked so well but the sushi rice was overcooked making it mushy. To be honest why would you go to an incredible steak place and get sushi anyway 🤷‍♂️ Service was top notch, friendly, fast and polite.

One steak was overcooked but the complaint well dealt with an another steak provided without question which was perfect .

My friends and I visited for a catch-up meal last night, 13/09/2024, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The host at the door was incredibly polite, took our coats, and promptly escorted us to our table. The ambience was outstanding – the elegant mix of plants, chandeliers, and perfect lighting created a truly luxurious atmosphere. I honestly don’t understand any negative comments about this place, because there are no negatives! Service was top-notch throughout. We were offered a bottle of water right away and never felt rushed to order. Our starters were delicious and arrived promptly, with plates swiftly cleared in time for the main course. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the oyster mushrooms practically melted in your mouth. Adam took care of us the entire evening, from regular check-ins to great recommendations. He was genuine, attentive, and added to the overall experience. I’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a classy dining experience. This is how they treat people who write balanced and honest reviews. 🤣🤣🤣 They wrote that they believe I'm targeting their restaurant - REALLY??? haha!!! I have reduced my rating from 4 stars to 1. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Updated 12/09/2024: I have reduced my rating based on the email engagement with Paula from customer service. She states that the service charge is listed at the bottom of the menu and the 200ml Diet Coke measurement is also listed. My eyesight is pretty good, but the menu text is very small and the lighting is dim, so I struggled to read the menu. Also, nobody looks at the menu for 'Diet Coke', you just ask for it - and I've never been to a restaurant before that has provided just 200ml, especially for £3.95!!! I won't be visiting here again and I will recommend my friends, family and colleagues to go to Miller and Carter. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original review: 09/09/2024: The bad: A £9.47 (12.5%} service charge was added to the bill and not pointed out to me. We were only 2 people with 1 course each. £4 for a 200ml bottle of Diet Coke is absurd. It doesn't list 200ml on the menu, I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known. The chips were very soft. The steak comes with a small portion of chips and a very small sauce. The toilets are a tired and 1 of the 2 urinals is labelled as out of order. The good: The steak (medium rare) was very nice. There were no other customers (at lunchtime on a Monday). I saw 5 members of staff! The text on the menu is small and the lighting is low, so bring reading glasses if you need them! Overall: It was a good experience, but I wouldn't go again. Instead, I'd go to Miller and Carter which is better value for money (more sauce, larger sauce and side salad) and just as good or slightly better in terms of quality. Plus they don't add on a sneaky 12.5% service charge!

Group of us visited last night for a meal for a friends birthday, it was a sublime experience. The staff were so attentive and professional it made the experience all the more memorable. The food is on another level.. Excellent.

Superb food, cannot fault the service. I got the English Wagyu, which was one the best steaks I've had. My family's food, along with their drinks, were also excellent. And the service was also top notch. It was a belated anniversary meal, for which they also gave complimentary drinks and truffles. The whole experience was brilliant, and we would definitely return.

I came here for mine and partners anniversary. The food was incredible, followed by exceptional service. Our water was constantly topped up, and the waiters had a lot of knowledge about the food and drinks on the menu. We also got a complimentary glass of champagne each for our anniversary which was a lovely touch. We will definitely be returning!:)

Had a lovely dinner last night The food was exceptional as was the service from our waiter ADAM! He was looking after us really well always made sure our drinks was topped up and made sure we always had everything we need. Will definitely return back soon enough !

I recently had the pleasure of dining on the Kobe excellent wagyu rump, and it was an unforgettable experience. The meat was incredibly tender, with a melt-in-your-mouth quality that spoke to its superior marbling and careful preparation. For any steak aficionado, the Kobe excellent wagyu rump is an absolute must-try, offering a taste of culinary perfection.

Great service! Food and drinks were amazing. My partner eats steak but I don’t so I got the chicken and it was delicious! Partner really enjoyed the steak and we will definitely be visiting again! The cocktails were greats as well! Great vibe if you’re going for a date!

The food is always really good. Ranging from reasonably priced to outrageously expensive it doesn't disappoint on any level.

I gladly recommend this restaurant. The ambience is very relaxing with a good vibe. Diverse menu for all tastes, not just for Kobe lovers. The dessert is rated 10 out of 10. The food is served quickly. Very nice staff.

visited for our anniversary on Tuesday. I am not a steak eater so I had lots of questions for the waiter- he was so friendly and very knowledgeable! starters were incredible- I loved the massive prawns, and hubby liked the chicken. Warm bread and garlic butter was really nice. I had ribeye 300g- my only complaint was that it was too much- I should have chosen a smaller cut. Carrots with honey and nuts were 10/10 I don't write reviews but this one was well deserved. They surprised us with a hand written anniversary platter with chocolates and a small glass of bubbly too... oh and the cocktails were top notch as well!

Sevice is incredible. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Food is unbelievable, especially when you consider this is just a restaurant in MK Xscape. I'm lucky enough to have eaten at some of the best places around the counrty, I'm no expert but I like my food. This was my second visit here and won't be my last. We took friends, one of whom had no idea what Japanese Wagyu beef is, to say his mind was blown, is an understatement. Not everyone had the Wagyu so there was reference between a very good Argentinian steak and the Wagyu. It's amazing. Topped off with a little surprise birthday treat from the team that wasn't expected at all.

I would absolutely recommend Kobe. Fantastic drinks, delicious food and a fab atmosphere. We were celebrating my husbands birthday so he was treated to an extra little treat. Service was exceptional, too. Will definitely be visiting again.

I came for dinner with my partner on Saturday night for a celebration and it was one of the best meals I’ve had! The service from Adam was amazing! He was so helpful and happy the whole night and it made our experience amazing . The food was amazing and I’m so happy we picked this restaurant. Would most definitely come again.

Don't get all the hyped reviews. Style over substance and the price point was too high for what it was. Sashimi didn't taste fresh and the steak was pretty nice but nothing special to justify the price points. Portion sizes also tiny. It's marketed as high end but isn't and the food is not made with love. However the service and vibe is nice, and the restaurant would be acceptable if they put down the prices.

The food was amazing, ADAM was great really welcoming and made our experience even better, we would’ve given 5 stars for service however one of the waiters (unsure of his name) wasn’t the nicest and made our experience feel rushed. He was older and bald. I really appreciated Adams service and he is a member of staff that should be valued!

2nd time at Kobe, this time for my boyfriend’s birthday meal and again it did not disappoint. The food is cooked very well and the service is attentive and friendly. This was hands down the best meal I have eaten in every aspect. The food was divine and the restaurant is gorgeous, but the service was 5 star. Never have I been made to feel so comfortable and attended to. Alex our server is such a credit to this restaurant and I hope he knows just how much his attentiveness, well timed humour and service ability is appreciated and respected. The cocktails were incomparable and the wine service outstanding. We didn't even tell them it was my birthday, but Alex being so diligent and considerate still went and had a happy birthday treat made for me. I can not explain how great this experience was. Definitely the best place for a dining experience in Milton Keynes. Also, I want mention as someone who is allergic to a few different items, not once did I feel different to the rest of my party and my dietary needs were worked around without me having to mention it more than once, I can not tell you how much that meant to me. Food was on point... Like OMG the steak was incredible!!! The speed of service was amazing too. Adam, the waiter, was an absolute pleasure to speak with and the atmosphere inside was great. It was our anniversary and they surprised us at the end with a plate that had 2 small pink chocolate hearts and "happy anniversary" written in a strawberry. Small gesture, big impact. Thanks for making our night special. If I were to be extremely picky (purely on the basis it doesn't seem like I'm a paid shill) I'd say the only shame is that it's inside xscape and not out by itself. Other than that I can't find any fault, the level of service and the quality of food was well worth the price!

Staff very friendly and responsive, atmosphere is pleasant and the design of the place is great. 3 halal steak options - I chose to go for the sirloin 400g with chimichuri sauce and sweet potato fries. Tasted great, would recommend.

1st time here for my husbands birthday, couldn't fault it, service & food was perfect.

Solid experience, went around 2 weeks ago but the service was amazing, it was a first time steakhouse experience, decided to get a medium rare sirloin 400g and didn't expect it to be 40% fat, the taste was nothing crazy but the sauces are divine. Went with a couple other people and a majority of them got well done steaks, when we received our food theirs were rare, medium rare at best, the mojito was made with too much soda water and needed more lemon juice, there wasn't an allergen check at the beginning of us being sat, I work at a restaurant and thought it was a bit strange but overall staff were happy to help with everything and were attentive so overall a good experience, will be back for that golden steak :)

Came for my 26th Birthday with my partner, food (fillet steak) tasted amazing and service was brilliant. Would definitely recommend and visit again. I did visit last year for the first time but my experience was much better this time round as was the food.

Thought it was OK, but very expensive for what it is. Nice decor, all looks cool, and appears fancy, but in reality it's an averagely good steak. Had the wegu and spent 500 quod for 2 people with no alcohol, and I'd say only slightly better than Miller and Carter.

Ambience was really nice. Staff were very welcoming and service was fast. Our food did not take long to come out. The food was really tasty. Everything was cooked to perfection, definitely one of the best steaks I have had. The dessert was really nice and chocolatey. Overall, great food and staff.

Our experience at Kobe was one not to be forgotten the service was top tier the hospitality and dining environment is definitely one of my favourites. The food its self was great I have no complaints. And a special thanks to our server Alex who did a brilliant job he was super funny and gave us the best experience. I definitely recommend the sweetcorn cheesecake as weird as it may sound it was incredibly delicious (thank you Alex you were right!)

Not many quality places in MK to have halal steaks, so we were well happy with Kobe's serving. Recommended

A mixed bag ... my wife's spiral fillet was superb and my rib-eye was pretty good, but my son's sirloin definitely wasn't a sirloin! Tasty enough, but not what he ordered! The sauces that accompanied the steaks were just OK (my red wine sauce was underwhelming) ... the fresh bread and olives starter was delicious ... the fries were OK, but small portions ... my Peroni beer was brought to the table pre-poured, which was odd, and didn't really taste like Peroni ... our waiter was aloof and seemed to be in a bit of a mood ... our table was right next to a brightly lit fridge displaying the various cuts of meat, and also next to the service entrance, so not great for ambience. All in all, not really worth the £150 bill (oh, and they add a 12% service charge, bringing it to £168 - I generally tip 20% for good service, but on a night such as this would probably have tipped 5% max - but of course, you don't want to quibble over a few pounds, so you just pay the 12% and leave) ... but all in all, I'm not sure we'll be going back.

Massively over priced. Chicken starter was presented beautifully but shame it was like eating rubber. The wagau burger flooded the plates of the 3 of us that ordered 1, the meat didnt fill the unfresh bap, really not good would have got a better burger in mcdonalds. It was nice of the staff to go ahead and ad a £13 service charge for a short stay and a terrible meal. Will definitely not go back.

Perfect for a special meal. Great selection of starters and plenty of choice on the menu beyond the steaks (although I’d recommend the steaks!) It’s rare to find a good independent restaurant in Milton Keynes, and this is from the same people behind the French Affair in Stoney. Well worth a visit.
