The Charcoal Grill in Portsmouth

Why do delivery drivers not use what 3 words? I gave my exact location on the order, yet the delivery driver was unable to locate me? Why also do i have to collect the delivery from my apartment block's car park when i have paid for delivery to my own front door?

Food not as ordered, falafel kebab is just a dry pita with a few falafels on it. No sauce, no salad, not as advertised on website. Will not order from here again. Requesting refund.

The vegetarian burger was cold in the middle and also missing salad in it. The Chicken thigh fillet burger was very over cooked and tough. The food quality did not match what we paid for. Won't be ordering again.

I’ve been calling them for 1hr no one has even bothered to answer the phone and my food say delivered and nothing has come don’t even bother with this place

Absolutely great if you have no annual leave left and want a few days off work, or maybe take ur date here if u never want to hear from them again. Horrendous. Was not shocked to see the bin overflowing with food with a maximum of 3 bites taken out of it. ABSOLUTE SH!T

My order was placed online I'm in Blackpool, the order was with charcoal grill near me, when I noticed it was to the wrong takeaway I called them to have it cancelled and told its nothing to do with them, speak to just eat. Taken £24 won't refund. It's 284 miles away for me to collect a kebab, sorry I won't make collection time.

Wrong order arrived. I phoned and the guy seemed happy to rectify. Got too late so I phoned again and cancelled, as was off to bed. Half hour later delivery driver is calling me, knocking on my door. Dog barking, kids awake...was up for hours settling them

Don’t answer the phone and you just have to sit and wait as long as it takes for your cold food to arrive. I’ve had some bad takeaways in my time but wow. I don’t even normally leave reviews. The burger was just a charcoal lump and just thrown in a sea of garlic sauce to the point that the bun was half disintegrated. I got 4 bits of chicken that were just cold and simply inedible. I’m not messing around, this place is actually the worst takeaway in the history of takeaways. If I could upload pictures of how bad this food was I would make a point of doing it so others didn’t suffer. £20 down the pan and for what!? This place is a disgrace

Used just eat delivery, have ordered from here a couple of times, both times the food has been lovely, the chicken cooked with the charcoal taste. Delivery arrived really quick on both occasions. Can’t fault.

Chicken came in a Kens chicken box! Not where I ordered from. Meat was cold in kebab. Disappointed and will not use them in the future

Food wasn’t the best, also for some reason we had nuggets in a Ken’s fried chicken box. We alll know how bad Ken’s is, if I knew half the food was from Ken’s I wouldn’t even have bothered ordering from there.

Chicken was covered in actual burnt bits with Lettuce that was brown and off, ordered and paid for coke but got pepsi also ordered strawberry yazoo an got banana instead. Won't be ordering from here again

Order was terrible the milkshake wasn’t a fresh milkshakes was in a yazoo bottle and my chips turned up freezing cold I rung charcoal grill and they said they would send a new order out to me but never did awful service and terrible food would never order again

The chips were missing and the app had it as free delivery but cost over £2.

Alot bought delivery time was a little longer than anticipated the food was lovely and as I’m visiting from midlands this by Friday was very good quality meat fresh salad and just the right amount of food. Only thing I would add is pls add a dips selection on just eats so we can order selected dips. Need mint yogurt for the lamb kofta. 5 star restaurant

For nearly 30 quid for two chicken kebabs and chips/coke it was a bit underwhelming. Chicken dry and not well marinaded, salad a bit late in life and pittas dry. Chips soft and barely cooked. Tbh 30£ is restaurant money for food and while it included fees it really didn't feel like value or quality for money. Recently been buying from admirals who offer a far better meal. Have enjoyed charcoal grill over the years but if this reflects their standards now I won't bother again.

Order was wrong, food only just warm. Phone number didn't work when trying to contact the restaurant. Over an hour late. Spent £30 and was given just £5 credit when complained.

Somehow managed to receive warm soggy salad and cold dry meat. Stale pitta. Missing chips. Wrong drinks. No size difference in regular and extra large. Possibly one of the worst kebabs ever received.

I placed a order of which I believed to be Charcoal Grill however when it arrived the delivery driver informed me it was Kens kebabs of which I would never order from through past bad experience. The food was cold the chicken shish burnt and pita breads not cooked

Food was okay, didn’t seem the freshest quality. Pita for both meals was burnt 😕 ordered large chips with one, didn’t seem large. Donner meat was very soft, to the point of mushy. Unsure if I would order again.

Food was great and hot only thing forgot my mayonnaise one day might get everything lol it turned up super fast literally like 10-15 mins after I ordered which was great 👍🏻 😊😊😊💯

Rang and was in complete wrong place. I rang him after 10 minutes and app near. I rang again as my son who is an NHS nurse is covid positive and the guy first refused to give the food even though showed receipt and then had left all drinks.

Awful customer service Sent food back as it was cold And was refused a refund or replacement , and man was very very rude to me . This isn’t the first time this has happened But it will be the last. Never using this restaurant again!

The freshest kebab and salad I've had in a long time. The food was excellent and piping hot.

Food was acceptable. I mean the meat samosa was as dry as the Sahara but it was edible. Otherwise brilliant service.

How can anyone make the most basic thing as a chicken burger that disgusting that I would have to come on here and write a review about it, The bun was rock solid the chicken was so dry the sauce didn’t taste like mayo at all the salad was even old, had one bite and straight in the bin, Better of going McDonald’s and getting a chicken mayo than this heap of crap, staff don’t look like they belong in the fast food trade aswell absolute clueless and pathetic Need to sell up and go home.

Driver couldn;t find the house. The resturaunt said he called us, but I hd no call, no misse call, and the number on the account was accurate. I ordered chips with grilled pineapple, the pine apple cost £1.00 extra on a £3 packet of chips - there was ONE PIECE of pineapple.

Ordered two meals - one meal was missing chips and the drink and the wrap had no salad or anything even though requested. Food smelt like sticky feet. Phoned them to explain, told would redo meals and sent just a wrap which did have salad this time but tasted so bad binned. Apart from the Pepsi everything was binned. Requested refund - I never leave a review with written detail but this was so bad and service so poor - you can tell the difference between food prepared by someone who cares about what they serve and who definitely does not care anymore. Do not order from them.

Super size kebab? No bigger than the large I had last week. Waste of extra money. Poor excuse for a kofte, also was cooked to a crisp. That went in the bin. And to top it up I got chips instead of salad. Won't be ordering again.

Ordered Doner kebab and was sent chicken. Also had to heat up my food both times I have ordered from here. However the chicken kebab that I got by mistake was actually very nice haha

Chicken was dry, not cooked properly, had actual blood on the bone and wasn’t like a burst vein or anything, the chips were the most undercooked, pale chips I’ve had from anywhere period. I understand that it was a bit late, but I would have much rather them call me and say that they wouldn’t do it and I’d have to take my business elsewhere than give me that. Wasn’t inedible, hoping next time will be better.

Never had a problem before but tonight the restaurant said they tried to deliver my order an hour ago when it was scheduled to deliver at 330 didn’t end up arriving till 350am.

When it arrived it was from Ken's, not here. And secondly, never had such low quality food, like the nuggets were basically stail.

Never received order. Called the restaurant to be told that it has been delivered despite actually sitting outside the house for 40 minutes waiting. The person in the end of the phone was completely useless at helping me find my order and when asked for a refund, was refused. Don't bother ordering from here, you won't receive anything.

The kebabs were great nice chunky salad , the food was hot when it came , only thing I can fault is do you actually read the notes? as asked for Mayo as well as chilly sauce as it don’t let you pick 2 sauces on the drop down menu which you could include so you can choose 2 sauces as for me the Mayo takes the edge of the chilli sauce or it’s too spicy for me , so just please read the notes as that’s what it’s used for to add any Extras thank you .

It tasted lovely but was definitely on the small size for a super large kebab at over£9. Probably won’t order from here again.

Delivery was fast and the food was well done and still hot,great service and I would order from here again.
