I didn't go too Burwash I went too wadhurst. I very cheekily asked if they were better than the Moby Dick as the twice I e gone there the food was awful so the lovely young guy said YES!! SO HE WAS RIGHT!!! THE FOOD WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD!! I WILL DEFINITELY BE SEEING YOU AGAIN AND MY APOLOGIES FOR BEING CHEEKY!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EATING FROM HERE 5 STARS FROM ME!!

Booked a Sunday lunch here and wasn’t disappointed, lovely pub, very welcoming and fabulous food. Only wish I had taken a photograph to post, but the dinner didn’t hang around long enough! Beautifully cooked roast pork with all the trimmings, will be back again

Felt safe on arrival, saw regular cleaning throughout afternoon. Sunday lunch was amazing, pink, soft beef, REAL roastie, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside! At last! Fresh mixed veg and could just eat the cauliflower cheese straight out the dish! Large portions, felt stuffed until Tuesday but too good to leave. Lovely atmosphere, nice wine and choice of desserts but sadly couldn't manage one, too full.

Wow properly one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in a long time, chicken tender and flavoursome, potatoes crisp on the outside fluffy in the middle, and so much veg I couldn’t eat it all, will be back for sure.

A change in management in the past two weeks has brought brilliant quality pub food at affordable prices to this historic Inn. The latest covid restrictions are being well adhered to and it is great to see that the Catts Inn has returned to its welcoming village pub atmosphere with friendly staff and a first class chef. At present the Catts is shut on Mondays but well worth checking the menu for other days. Friends, and I particularly enjoyed chef's Sunday roast and a delicious lunch during the week. Really looking forward to our next visit.

I came to visit my brother and his wife, whom live in Rotherfield. My wife and I had been driving for three hours and were relieved to arrive In the village. We were very hungry and a little early, so we decided to pop in to the catts inn, as my brother had recommended it for a decent breakfast. As we walked through the door, we noticed there were no customers (bad sign) there was a man behind the bar (I presume the owner) who obviously heard us enter but didn’t bother to lift his head from his newspaper. I then ventured “excuse me” politely, to which he responded “what” i asked slightly amazed. Are you serving food, to which he said “no” abruptly and sank back in to his paper. Horrible rude and unfriendly man. No wonder there were no customers. So unnecessary.

A friend has just moved to the area, so we thought we'd try out the Catts Inn. We were not very impressed. The small dining room was nicely decorated if somewhat old fashioned in style. The food was plentiful - too much really for lunchtime appetites -but was completely unremarkable. The choice was pretty standard pub fare, but wasn’t very tasty and was a bit on the heavy side. I am told though that the pub has been significantly improved by it’s present landlords. We will be trying the other establishments in the village and not returning here in a hurry.

Great evening at The Catts Inn Rotherfield last night. Very tasty food, home cooked and plentiful. The owners have done a fantastic job refurbishing the place and all the food looked and smelt lovely. Will definitely be returning to try some other dishes. Well done and hope you are part of the village for many years to come. If you are in Rotherfield or passing through, give this pub a try - you won’t be disappointed

Strange as it seems, we have been here before and not spent enough time with the owners. What a fantastic bunch. A table at the back restaurant with beautiful food and company. Harvey’s is still outstanding. The ambiance and company is lovely. Thanks again all members of the crew, especially Lizzy. And the owners. 100%

Sometimes only an English Sunday lunch will do and one like the Catts Inn hits the mark. Our family had beef chicken and nut roast (separately) The quality of the meat was superb and really nicely cooked. The accompanying veg -especially the cheesy cauliflower was really nice. definitely Worth a visit.

Had our Sunday roast last weekend in this clean and fresh pub. Roast beef and roast pork. Was served with crispy roast potatoes, stuffing, little sausages, cauliflower cheese, carrots, red cabbage, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. The meat just melted in your mouth and whole meal was delicious. Will certainly go back for more.

Popped in here as my brother lives in Crowborough. What great food. We had the roast and it was to die for. Just like my mums. The menu is full of pub favourites and you get plenty of it. So impressed we booked again for two weeks time. Stuart and Emma are superb hosts and the people in the bar made us feel very welcome. Great little pub superbly decorated.

Good local pub. In the centre of Rotherfield, two miles south of Crowborough, with parking nearby. One of the last in the area to sell brown ale and brown and mild.

Nos metimos en el Catts Inn después de un largo paseo, y recibió Neil y Becky el encargado y casera. Es un agradable y acogedor pub, con un buen ambiente, y mucho. Será bueno para una tarde por su música en vivo o cualquier otro evento.

The place is so Quaint and the food is delicious. I just wish servers would listen to what the customers say I had water with lime in it and I already had it mixed in the line was squeeze to perfection and the server came back by and I and he asked me if I wanted more water and I said yes, for halfway to the top of this ice.Keep gave me a full glass of water, or nearly. It would not be a big deal, but the fact is, I explicitly asked for him to fill it halfway again. These servers, these days, they're just giving you what they want to have, they're not understanding in our paying attention, but they want to get a great tip fortunate for them. We tip well my boyfriend and I. But I am really getting aggravated with this. So overall, the meal was fine. It's just at these people do not listen.

Really disappointed. Arrived at 4ish on a Tuesday in half term with our 15 and 11 year old to a completely empty pub, just one patron sat at the bar. Really lovely cosy large area next to the fire that was empty but immediately told by bar staff we couldn't sit there with children due to licensing rules! We were allowed to sit in the drafty back lobby by the gents loos - not so great. Weird atmosphere, we clearly weren't welcome, shame as we'd planned a few rounds and dinner but we headed back to our local accommodation instead. Looked like a really quaint pub just wish we'd realised it wasn't somewhere for families.

This is my favorite tea shop. I love the rose cake and the scones are my favorite. They are so delicious. I want to go there every day. I am happy every time I visit here with my husband and my dog. The atmosphere is comfortable and the cake is delicious. The taste of the tea is good.

We had a meal here on Saturday as they were advertising a new menu. I had the salmon and my husband had the stuffed pork chop. Both dishes were so so lovely. The flavours were so fresh and the portions were really good as well. My husband said he hasn’t had a pork joint like it before and was blown away. You won’t be disappointed with the food here and we are fussy. The staff are all so lovely and really attentive. We will def be back soon
