The Bull in West Berkshire

My wife and myself always go out for Sunday lunch and to be honest, having visited many local pubs/restaurants in the area we always come back to the Bull in Theale. The staff are friendly, polite and very efficient. They serve a very good Sunday roast with very generous helpings and well cooked food and are cheaper than a lot of their rivals. This Sunday the roast beef was really exceptional and the wife also praised her Lasagne! Keep up the good work we will be back!

First class fish and chips. Busy for a Thursday night. Parking can be a real challenge particularly when less well meaning folk block you in. Otherwise a fantastic meal and we will definitely visit again.

Went for Sunday lunch. Due to health issues our party of four had to isolate and sit outside, it was a cold wet January day, but the staff were so helpful. They brought out cushions and blankets and an outside heater.. The food was excellent - lovely roast dinners and great puddings which we all enjoyed. Thank you! The inside area looked lovely- we look forward to returning and eating inside!

A Thursday evening and a table for two with my wife. No booking needed for this time. We both had starters and mains but unfortunately no room for puds. A very relaxing environmemnt and the service was exemplary. The drinks and food were served very promptly and with a smile. The server was very engaging and most helpful in describing the specials - very customer focused. Music was "respectful" and did not swamp our conversation. Parking was easy but limited, but we arrived early so had a choice of spots. We both had a lovely time and I have no hestitation whatsoever in recommending the Bull at Theale. I also understand that they are Dog Friendly.

I had a wonderful roast beef dinner today, it tasted absolutely delicious, the beef was very tender, lovely cauliflower cheese. All my family also enjoyed their meals too. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Lovely seating area outside. I'd definitely recommend.

Excellent food, service and value. Superb - and largely homemade. Easy stop just off the M4 on the way back from Cornwall to London. Highly recommended.

Came here on Saturday on route to Reading, lovely pub with nice staff. The 2 ladies were very friendly. The beer was free flowing, and had the chicken burger which was really nice. Will come back again

We arrived in Theale not knowing anyone. Myself, my son and my friend popped in for a quick drink after arriving. Excellent customer service and very welcoming. We went back the same evening and had a love meal with family members from Reading and Devon. I would recommend The Bull to one and all.

It’s not often that you visit somewhere new and the whole experience is just right – welcome, food, service and value for money. We were visiting the area and only managed one lunch but would have been happy to return because we had such a relaxed and enjoyable meal. A big thank you to the whole team and congratulations for delivering so well. We highly recommend this establishment.

Visited Bull Theale for a Sunday Roast today, we phoned last minute and were allocated seating in the bar area which was perfect. From the moment we walked in the staff were so welcoming & friendly. The loos were immaculate (which is very important to me and reflects an establishments standards) The roast diners we were served were delicious, roast potatoes were some of the best I’ve had. We ordered a side of cauliflower cheese which was done to perfection. The side of veggies brought to the table were perfect accomplishments and included sugar snap peas. The lovely lady who served us enticed us to the puddings, crumble & custard was delicious. A Thursday night quiz at The Bull is a most enjoyable evening. Matt hosts a great evening and food is always good.

Mi padre anciano y yo como el Toro, y ir allí para comer el domingo de vez en cuando. La comida siempre es buena, y el personal amable. Esta vez realmente en sí es extraordinario. La comida era deliciosa, la carne en el asado los domingos era perfecta y el servicio, alguien siempre estaba allí justo cuando lo necesitábamos, y no podría haber sido más servicial y amable. Lo recomiendo sin dudarlo.

Lamb roast was extremely tasty. Plenty of well cooked, tender lamb, crunchy roast potatoes and delicious vegetables. Accompanying cauliflower cheese, just the best
