The Buff in Bromley

Came here with a group after finding that the kitchen at The Queen's Head was closed yet again. Quick service, really friendly staff who took an active interest in the card game we were playing, and great food at a decent price. Even ended up with a round of drinks on the house after talking to the landlord at the bar about our experience. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.

Popped in here with my friend for a drink and a chat , nice place we have been here a few times in the past , there is seating area outside too where you can sit outside and have a drink in warm weather , and you can have food inside . There is parking around the side.

Just like to thank the bar staff today on their excellent service and knowledge about the food and non alcoholic drink for me to try. The food was very good, great to see young people working in the hospitality they will soon have their own pubs to manage. Big Thanks. We will be back again

Food presentation was brilliant. Tasted great aswell. Staff were nice and friendly.

Nice local pub, decent food and beer. Our kids love a visit here for the kids menu. Staff are friendly and service is quick.

The staff were great and the regulars very friendly. The downside was the cleanliness of the tables and the food. We had fish and chips. The chips were great but the fish was over cooked and looked like it was out of a packet.

Myself, my son and daughter popped along for some lunch today. I must mention how friendly the bar staff were , the guy behind the bar was a really cheerful fella and the lady who helped bring out the food was also lovely asking if we’d like more drinks with out food and ran and got my daughter some water. Brilliant service from both with a friendly smile that you don’t get at a lot of places now days. The food took a while to come out but it was also lovely we cleared the lot! Would definitely recommend and will return again soon!

Held my daughter’s baby shower at the Buff in their function space on Saturday and couldn’t have been happier! Communication in the lead up was brilliant and on the day they couldn’t do enough. I had preordered the food prior to the function and even when I asked for more half way through they did it without any fuss. Nothing was too much trouble and they insisted on doing the clearing up too. Everyone has said what a lovely time they had, would definitely recommend 😊

Had lunch here with my family, experience overall was great! Staff are very friendly, Chatted with Kieran about the menu, football, etc. Very helpful and observant. Will definately return.

Haven't been here for.many years. Great food!!!! Only £12.50 for a massive sharing plate, having a crap day until the lovely two ladies behind the bar cheered up me and my girlfriend up with lots of good banter. Guinness was reasonably priced and nice and cold, lots of friendly people. Great pub and staff deserve a pay rise :)

Been a regular here for a while and I really have to say the pub is the best it’s ever been!!! The food quality is amazing and the staff always look after me, my drink is poured before I even walk in. Dolls and assistant manager Laura are very attentive and friendly Manger marc is great

I popped into the Buff yesterday to meet a few friends, we had a bite to eat and a couple of drinks. The food was reasonably priced and good quality. Dolls and Laura were great fun, very attentive and helpful! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Great little pub. The food is lush and has options for everyone and the service even better! Had 2 lovely women serve me named Anya and Laura who were super friendly and accommodating.

First time to visit this place. Not impressed at all! Found what seems to be a hair on one of the chips. Veggies are not fresh. Found a tooth in our hotdogs. The man asked us if it was our tooth, we said obviously not. I was really worried as hubby and i already had a bite, he got our full names and contact number and said he will contact us back once he spoken to the supplier. We patienly waited but, It has been more than four weeks now but he never did

I was met with Kelly and Dolls and was immediately at ease , I would recommend either of these brilliant ladies to run any public house / establishment, a real joyful and pleasant experience, 10 out of 10 + , thankyou, I’m really grateful for the experience

This is an outstanding bar mainly because of the staff. Dolls and Kieran took great care of me. So friendly and professional. Food was excellent and great value for money. Highly recommended.

We went for lunch with my family on Tuesday and had a great time. Good food and atmosphere and not too pricey. We were served by Kelly and Rebecca who were very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be going back.

The food was very hit and miss in our group. Mine was fine, except there could have been more chips. Other dishes in our group were definitely microwaved and were not great. The area we sat in definitely needs a refurbishment for a Green King it was definitely a letdown, having been to others.

Ordered food & waited over an hour, when it arrived the burgers were very dry & overcooked & not nice. Several kids running around screaming which made it hard to relax & have a conversation, ended up leaving early because of this.

I visited The Buff last night for the first time - and what can I say?! This is definitely somewhere that you should visit if you’re looking for a nice night out. It’s busy, friendly, reasonably priced. The music is great, the food is AMAZING but the best thing by far is the exceptionally high level of customer service from every single member of staff I came across at this pub. I cannot fault a single thing from my time here & can’t wait to come back!! Huge thank you to Leanne for going above and beyond last night x

Popped in with my husband for a quick drink and after seeing the delicious menu decided to stay for a bite to eat too, which didn’t disappoint was Delicious. Staff were really friendly & service was great, will definatley be visiting again.

I came in today on my lunch break and had a cracking lunch at such good value. A super tasty Steak and Cheese Sandwich with chips and a pint for just £8.99. The bar made Kelly was brilliant she made my visit very enjoyable. I will be definitely be returning soon

Food was amazing, and so were the drinks. I highly recommend the bbq chicken burger with the onion rings and a diet coke with rum. The bartenders and the waiting staff are very friendly and lots of fun to be around. Was there last Friday night, was able to play darts with my friends. The staff were able to help us with the darts. Overall lots of fun, had a great time, with good food and amazing drinks.

Been going there for years, visited NOVEMBER 2023 after a break. It was empty, furniture made me leave after one drink, years of ground in dirt was repulsive 🤮 Bar staff weren’t very friendly 😒 manager gave the impression he was very inexperienced. The last manager always gave a warm welcome to every customer and she worked very hard to accommodate individual needs. It was always buzzing with a very friendly atmosphere. We had planned on having lunch and relaxing in our once friendly local pub. Sadly we won’t be returning, till they at least replaced the furniture and the manager understands his job isn’t to prop up the bar and chat with the bar staff. When you get customers in you earn more profit.

Myself and my husband visited on Sunday and I have to say I was so pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection (I had the roast dinner and roast potatoes was as good as your own so v happy!). The bar staff was really friendly and a lovely atmosphere in the pub. Place was also spotless. Can’t wait to go back, taking the family next time. 10/10.

A home from home. I always feel very welcome here. The staff are friendly, polite, happy and eager to ensure every visit is enjoyable. The pub has a real local feel with a vast mix of customers all engaging with eachother - it's a true community pub. The food is great value and delicious, and I have always enjoyed my meals and have no complaints.

My family and I have been using the pub more since the new manager. Nice pub nice food.

I hadn't been here for years and was pleasantly surprised with the food and the service. The bar staff are lovely and now me and my wife have become regulars again. Keep up the good work.

Came in last Friday and it was very busy. Nearly every table was full in the restaurant area and bar however Leanne kindly asked a table of 2 to slide across to another table so our table of 4 could be seated together. Kelly was extremely attentive and between them both they made sure the restaurant area was kept clean and tidy after every customer and that everyone was being looked after. Credit to them both for working well as a team on what was clearly a very busy evening.

My experience at the buff was superb. Food was really good and came very quickly. All the staff were really lovely and helpful. My friends ordered the three plates which was a fantastic deal and I loved the beef burger. Desserts were even better!

I celebrated my 50th birthday at the buff and hired a dj for the night. The manager Mark and his staff were friendly professional helpful and accommodating! I would highly recommend this pub for a warm welcoming atmosphere! I would like to go back to try the food and watch some sport!

What an absolutely brilliant afternoon, popped in on the off chance with my dad, brother and 3 year old daughter... Fantastic live music, food was great.. no waiting... Happy bar staff.. can't wait to go back x

Had a great time in the buff last week, food was delicious and served quickly too. Staff really friendly and I even bought my non verbal autistic son for lunch. Everyone was so accommodating and understanding of his needs. Went above and beyond for us. Lovely place highly recommend

Couldn’t ask for a more helpful manager, he went above and beyond to make our Sunday lunch one of the best ever. He was attentive and accommodating and we are very grateful. We will be returning. Thank you to Marc and his team for a great family afternoon

I visited with my Mum on Christmas Day for dinner for the first time and I was impressed with the quality and speed of service and the food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I would recommend the Buff to anyone looking for a new location or change of scenery.

Around 35 years ago, a gang of my mates used to go down there drinking. It’s when Frank used to own the pub He was a big Arsenal supporter with his son . Has changed so much I can see the photographs.

These people vowed never to return…Mark whom i’ve know since he ran the Queens head locally is back in the area and has made a difference already in so little time. We went into this pub as a family of 4 and all I can say what a warm welcome we received by a loverly young girl named Laura throughout our visit she went above and beyond to help with any issues we had (food) as an ex publican I know she will be an asset to any pub she works in and future her own place

Just heard there’s new management so came in to see what’s new. The new manager Mark seems to be turning the pub around again. Nice to see the staff smiling for once, Rachael was especially friendly and had me laughing the whole time.

Popped in on the way back from a hospital visit & my word the food was delicious place looked so pretty full of Christmas spirit Had mango chilli chicken tacos just so tasty & hubby had the blue cheese burger equally delicious well worth trying the chocolate mocha brownie with coconut ice cream. Spotless glasses & really friendly staff look forward to our next visit

I came in last night for the first time in a while and there's a whole new roster of staff! the 2 young girls behind the bar Lilv and Rachel were lovely and kept everyone entertained with their energy. They provided a fantastic service while the pub was a little bit chaotic. I saw another woman behind the bar when i came in who seemed nice but didn't catch her name as I didn't see her again while I was there.

We have not visited for a couple of years as the pub was going downhill on all aspect,cleanliness, staff, lot of bad language etc....I hear there's a new manager. Hope he get the place sorted.

Popped in here for a pint. Pint of Old Speckled hen. Sorry only got IPA we don’t have Old Speckled hen or Abbot. Thought this was a greene king pub??? Had a pint of IPA, drinkable just. Did taste a bit on the soapy side. Not the crisp taste of Greene King IPA. Packet of pork scratching? Sorry run out of pork scratching. Well soapy beer no pork scratchings …… Atmosphere seemed good all watching and cheering football. As for staff wearing a cask craft t-shirt? What craft cask ale?

Average priced pints, decent location, usually great company but on this night my girlfriend and I had an arguement so struggle to give five stars. Didnt get to finish my blinking pint ! All good in the hood now though thanks for asking, cant wait to return !

Very nice food and definitely worth the visit. Have been here a few times now. Sometimes service can be slow but we'll worth the wait. Never been disappointed with the food so far. Will be back soon.

My friend and I had an awful meal here yesterday. I had fish and chips and the fish was very overdone to the extent of being dark brown and dry. My friend had a pie which looked nice but the pastry was rock hard. Won't be going there again.

Only 6 years late) not the same nowadays unfortunately.....furniture a bit tired looking, must have picked a bad night as 4 of 9 drinks ordered for my party had to be changed due to lack of stock available. On Saturday I came in to experience the England football game, The staff there treated me all so amazing, the atmosphere was amazing too. The music kept me staying there till close. Kenzie for me stood out on that night worked extra hard and always kept a smile on her face even though it was very busy.

Went to the buff for some lunch last week. I had a very nice signature fish and chips and my partner had the katsu curry. Both meals looked great and tasted even better. Compliments to the chef!!!
