I’m extremely pleased with this place, the sandwich’s were by far the best I’ve ever tasted, I will definitely be coming back :)

I popped into Mustard after hearing all the hype, but honestly, it was just alright. Ended up waiting over 45 minutes, which felt way too long for a takeaway lunch. I got a sandwich and a sausage roll. The sandwich was actually really tasty—fresh and well put together—but I’m not sure it was worth the wait or the price. The sausage roll was okay, nothing special, and a bit too big for what it was. Again, didn’t feel like good value. Overall, not a bad place, but probably wouldn’t rush back unless the queue was shorter and the prices a bit more reasonable.

Snails paced queue. Took them 10 minutes to serve one person two sandwiches

The lady who gave me my sandwhich was so kind and even catered when they ran out of onions and allowed to add coleslaw in my big filly , also got given an extra sausage roll - such a kind gesture . Defo will visit again

Internet buzz had made this venue a very busy one, however, give yourself an extra five minutes - it's worth it. Delicious sandwiches, which are an entire meal in themselves. Nom nom.

We drove for 1hr and 15 minutes today after seeing the hype on TIKTOK, and you know what, I’m pleased we did. It was well worth the journey (Not forgetting the 20 minute Que once we arrived) and great value for money! We read a lot of mixed reviews, so we decided to visit ‘Mustard’ and make our own minds up. It was quite nice to just jump in the car, have a day out, plus it’s a change of scenery for us, being from Canterbury. I actually said to my partner as well, that I quite like how it’s a family run business, and one woman who fronts the very small shop, it really gave off a homely, rustic, cosy sort of feel. Most importantly, the sandwich was bloody amazing, it was jam packed with flavoured quality meats and all the trimmings and different sauces! We already have another date in the diary to visit again, but with the in-laws this time too, as we think they would love it, just as much as we did!

Epic food! Sandwiches were great and sausage rolls were to die for! Could improve service if they were able to speed up the queue as waited 50 minutes to try the sandwich but completely understand space is tight as only a small shop. Will recommend to friends and family if they are happy to queue

My Mrs sent me over to get lunch as she’d seen them on social media. When coming here context is key. This is a very small, family run place. The shop is tiny it can barely fit 9 people standing comfortably, and with its sudden social media popularity you need to understand you will have to wait. There’s one lady making the sandwiches and another prepping food and working the till, is there room on improvement to help maximise the business? Yes, but that doesn’t takeaway from the quality of the food. We ordered 3 sandwiches, the Philly, the pork belly, brisket and the gammon sausage roll. The Philly - My favourite, the meat fell apart, it had a wonderful kick of spice and the cheese sauce wrapped it all up inside tiger bread (Whoever thinks it’s the wrong bread you need to have a look in the mirror). Pork belly - Crispy cracking and sweet apple sauce the only thing I think it needs is a little more sauce. What sauce I have no idea just a little of something in my opinion. Brisket - This thing fell apart and with the coleslaw and crispy onions mmmmm it was good. Sausage Roll - Simply brilliant. The thing to remember with this place, because of it’s size and now popularity there is definite room for improvement and I do think it will naturally improve over time and people just need to be realistic before coming here, you’re not coming here for gourmet food you’re coming here for a homemade sandwich and a good one at that. Like any busy establishment you just need a little patience. I was also served my sandwich by a little helper who was the grandson of the owner, little legend. It’s a small establishment that’s still trying to find its footing with the popularity it now has but it has so much character, care and quality for what it is. 5* will definitely be coming back, thanks ladies for a great lunch.

Visited early on a Tuesday after seeing rave reviews on TikTok. Only had original sausage rolls which is not what we wanted and although they were lovely I felt the £4.50 price tag was expensive. A lady was in the shop buying a small salad. This was priced at £10 . I know it came with meat but again I felt this was rather overpriced. The lady serving was lovely but I don't think I'd go out of my way to visit again.

Long queue (almost 1 hrwait) but the food was good - we had beef sandwich with gherkins and coleslaw +bbq sauce (that was amazing!!), sausage roll was brilliant too, but the pork belly sandwich was a little tasteless. I'd definitely go back for the beef and sausage rolls! just would try get there early or before closing to avoid queues ☺️

A cute family run sandwich shop! Stopped to get a sandwich on my way to work following all the hype on TikTok and I’m happy I did. The staff are friendly and clearly great at what they do. The meat counter looked unbelievable and it was the beef in my sandwich that made this place somewhere I’d return to. Can’t wait to try different meats! I called up beforehand to check they were open and was informed meats come out at 10:00AM (incase you’re an early bird like me) got there bang on 10 on a Tuesday and there was only one person in front of me. My sandwich was £13.50 and I asked for The Big ‘M’- the beef was good. The sandwich was chunky- definitely a sharer or eat in halves through the day kinda sandwich, well worth the price. I’m not sure I would go out of my way to visit again (I live very far -in Southend) but I would definitely pass by if I was in my way to work as a treat! All in all this place was definitely worth the visit and in my opinion the meats are what makes the sandwich special.

This place really does live up to its reputation as the best sandwich shop in the UK. The meats are delicious and cooked to perfection, the flavours and sides are best in class. We did queue for 2 hours but savoured every bite.

It's hard to give a rating. The food looks amazing but after 20 mins of standing outside in a queue behind several people who were obvious ticktok fans and had come a long way to get the sandwiches here. They did look amazing, but I didn't wait as I got cold and got a sausage roll elsewhere. Not a review to say don't go as the food looks great, but beware the queues. Fair play to this place for it's very clearly successful social media campaign, but just beware you may have large queues for your sandwich or sausage roll now...

Can't rate the food, the service or the atmosphere sadly as queued outside for over 30 minutes and didn't move one place....except for when other people got bored and also left, reminds me of a doctors surgery wait time. Unless you're working for deliveroo.... Really sad that another small business has sold out to deliveries they can't keep up with and will kill their business I should have ordered a delivery to my car outside.... I really hope that the owner reads these reveiws and takes notes before it's too late.

This place tells Scottish people to ‘speak English’. Absolutely disgusting and atrocious behaviour. Stay far away from this xenophobic place! Edit after seeing the owners response -- nice to see how they automatically say this is a fake review when it very much isn't rather than owning up to their mistakes and making steps to correct their behaviour. Far from a fake review. Did try reaching out on your social media pages but was blocked. Once again this shows any criticism is automatically 'fake' becuase you don't agree with it. Attrocious behaviour through and through.

The woman working here is so rude for no reason! When we walked in she gave us a dirty look and didn’t greet us at all, we felt very un welcome from the start. The food was nice, the service was just disappointing as we had driven a long way after seeing it on her daughters TikTok and felt let down with how we were treated…

Drove 1 and half hours there and back today after being influenced by TikTok and was not disappointed at all. The pulled pork and jerk sandwiches we tried were honestly the best sandwiches we have ever had. Maisie’s Mum the owner was so lovely! The only disappointing thing was how far it is from us because we want it again! :)

Bit busy but very worth it. Best place ever.

Erm I don’t know where to start, the service wasn’t very nice. They weren’t friendly at all and I don’t know why I didn’t just walk out, everything looks delish but when you taste it there is no flavour at all. Wrong type of bread and I feel like if the bread was toasted it would be better rather than having a soggy sandwich. No flavour of the “jerk” anywhere either so a bit confused. Overall, expensive, soggy tasteless sandwich with really cold and unfriendly service! ☹️

Wow! This place is a gorgeous little gem! Drove 45 mins to get here and it was so worth it. Obviously saw it on TikTok and had to try it. Cute decor. Nicola was lovely and friendly. We had a good chat about these Google reviews and some of the comments are ridiculous and they need to do research into the food industry. We got 3 different sandwiches and the 2 varieties of sausage rolls. They were so tasty and full of flavour. You definitely get your moneys worth. We changed a couple of the fillings around and Nicola happily had no problems with it. Definitely coming back here again. Thank you!

One of the best sandwiches I’ve tasted in a really long time! Just enough hot sauce to hit the spot. It’s service with a smile. Would definitely recommend and in definitely coming back.

Been coming to this lovely shop for a while. Has to be the best sandwiches & salads we’ve ever had. I always have a pork, stuffing and crackling salad, my kids varying sandwiches. The Philly being a new favourite for my son. All the meat is superb. I’d kill to be able to get my pork and crackling like hers. We are obsessed with the sweet potato mash and crispy onions. Loads of ideas of what to have but you can ask for what you want. The owner is lovely, always checks if you want the sauce or pickle etc. She works so hard to keep the wait down as it’s a popular venue which shows how good it is. Lady on the till always helpful and friendly. I’m the irritating sort that says ‘hold on a moment’ and adds a drink or crisps. Never a problem. Oh and don’t forget to add a sausage roll before you leave. They are dangerously tasty!

Came across this place on social media, took a trip down there and the most lovely and amazing lady ever served me whilst in the shop. Polite, friendly and easy to talk to. I got the Jerk Chicken, Pork Belly and Philly sandwiches and they were all lovely! I’d definitely recommend this place, don’t listen to all the nonsense; get down there and try it for yourself!

I live local to Mustard but never given it ago. I saw it online and thought a treat on Christmas Eve. It did not disappoint! We got the Pork and Philly and honestly was an easy 10/10. There was a small wait but watching the sandwiches being made kept us entertained. Staff were more than friendly and you can tell they was warm kind people so the negative comments about the service is confusing, guess people are just used to expecting people go to above and beyond as they have a few followers online. The price matches the quality of the food and honestly one sandwich could feed two! Found a new local sandwich shop and can’t wait to try the others! Honestly anyone local let’s make sure we support our local business as our area is slowly turning into a chain restaurant haven.

The Big Philly, Quite possibly the best sandwich I’ve ever had!

rude lady, asked me to “please speak english” despite it being my first language…. maybe its because im black. sandwich is bland and getting soggy because they use the wrong type of bread for these big sandwiches if u ask me. oh and if ur vegetarian dont bother going they will just slap pre slices cheese on morrisons tiger bread.

Drove from Essex to try this place. Sandwich was nice however they didn’t even say hello. Service was bad, got my order wrong and then tried to say I asked for something else when I clearly said jerk chicken. She went back and forth with me then said “well I’ve made you beef now” so I said ok just give me that then… then after I said that she changed her tune and made me the correct order. Maybe if she spoke to the customers (or even gave eye contact) rather than gossiping with her colleagues she wouldn’t get the orders wrong. None of the women even cracked at smile apart from the lady who took my payment. Would have gone back as the sandwich was good but wouldn’t want to support a business who can’t even be kind to their customers.

I came to this place and have never had such rude staff experience U go in and just stand there waiting to be served they care more about phone orders than actually serving customers and the old blonde bird needs to get a smile seriously rude

First experience today at mustard and I had the beef brisket with horseradish, slaw, gherkin and onion. It was THE BEST sandwich I’ve ever had, EVER. Unreal. I see why it’s got such a good reputation.

Been here a few times now and whilst the food is ok, I don't think the price of it is justified. The prices on the menu in the window also don't match what I was actually charged, only 25p more than stated but it's basic to make sure your menu prices are up to date! The customer service isn't amazing either, whilst I wouldn't go so far as to say the staff are rude, there are no customer service skills, no apologies for long wait times (the service is very slow) a lot of sighing and a general dower demeanor, haven't seen anyone crack a smile in there! Personally, the food on offer and the atmosphere just doesn't justify the cost.

This is the best sandwich I've ever had! So much so I couldn't wait to get home, I had to park my car to eat it and leave this review! I haven't even finished eating yet! The fresh bread, the generous fillings, the massive sandwich bursting with flavour in general felt like something my grandma would make and really did put a smile on my face. Oh and the crispy onions - delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you!

Salad boxes are a must try! Fresh tasting salad and the meat is always cooked to perfection. Would recommend pre-orders as the local community recognise how great the food is and so this can cause waiting times. Excellent meal as always.

Tried our first sandwichs today totally delicious. Really tasty Gammon honey mustard gherkin and crispy onions, and my other half had beef horseradish gherkins and crispy onions. Well worth the wait. 10/10 excellent.

Freshly cooked amazingly tasty meat based food. Very much recommend. Only down side is as everything is made to order it can be a bit slow but it's worth it for the tasty food and best sausage rolls ever.

Be prepared to wait for 25-30 mins for a Sandwich. They are good 👍 if you can wait . Too small place requires more and dynamic staff.

Best sandwiches in the area and very nice staff. The shop is small so can get crowded when busy but if you call up before visiting, then you can be in and out very quickly. I’d definitely recommend visiting

So glad I found this establishment! Definitely worth a review. Working close by, went in for a latte and ended up going back for another - outstanding coffee. On the second visit I had a gammon & maple syrup sausage roll - absolutely divine! If I had Mustard on my doorstep, I would be skint everyday (😂) let me tell you! Fantastic!

Awesome sandwiches, funny little shop, would recommend the jerk sandwich specifically but everything I’ve tried has been good. They also sell root beer which is rare.

Found Mustard by chance, OMG it's so good, it's become a Friday treat for the whole work place, we are all hooked and it's all we think about all morning. The beef brisket with horseradish has become our favorite. The sandwich is so big we all have half each. Every taste bud is catered for. They are a little pricey but worth every penny. There is always a queue so pre order.

Wow, you have to try this place, it was recommended to me about a year ago, why did I wait a year! Although you order a sandwich you get a meal! It is a bit like those American specialist dinners, the food is full of taste, well made and even fun to watch being made.. Great variety, there was three of so we ordered Crispy pork belly with stuffing and crispy onions, turkey and then beef, all were above expectations... Will return...

I had the Smoking Mexican sandwich which was absolutely outstanding. Really tasty, in fact the first thing I have really tasted since getting covid 4 weeks ago. I really recommend this place a true gem. The staff are good. If a little hard of hearing !!

People queued out the door for their lunch which leads to long waits. Really tasty and worth the wait. Personally I'd be looking to improve efficiency to make more sandwiches quicker, but it is a balancing act.

What an unexpected delight! Not my area but found by accident and what a great find. Hot meat sandwich and salads, plied sky high with salads, pickles, choice of mustards - of course - and topped with mounds of crispy fried onions. I had a salad box with braised brisket, salad, heaps of red slaw, hot sweet potato mash, pickles and the fantastic crispy onions. Mouth watering yet?

Excellent little gem of a place. I had the pork,apple sauce and onion and stuffing sandwich and was really really good it is very filling and they do other fillings that are equally as good. Parking is a bit of a nitemare but i was lucky as found a space. Gets very busy.

Amazing food and worth the price. I had a brisket sandwich with a smear of sweet potato mash and packed with crispy fried onions in thick soft bread. I had the hotdog aswell but the bun let it down its not a proper hotdog bun its that sweet tasting bread you get on holiday.

It doesn't get any better than this... I promise you. Roast Pork sandwich is on a different level.

This was my very first visit, reccomended to me by my son. Now for what i had to eat, "WOW" had the small salad box with beef, which was cooked to perfection, there was a variety of salad, really tasty and well presented, even the flat white coffee was amongst the best i've had. Would totally reccomend, and most certainly will be visiting again, very soon.
