Nothing to fault here. Great tasty food, reasonable prices, perfect 5* service and friendly staff and atmosphere. Their balti is amazing. One of the best Indian restaurants I have ever visited. I keep coming back!

Didnt like the food as much as other indian restaurants. Service was phenominal though.

Foods great and so are the staff and Owner. I do 20 mile round trip as its worth it.

We had such a lovely night here with the family - looking forward to visiting again. We went on Sunday and enjoyed the banquet menu- starter, main, side dish and rice or naan! Our table was booked for 6pm but although early, the restaurant was already half full and lovely atmosphere. Food was really good, it was great to have the side dishes too - lots to share around the table. There was so much food we couldn’t eat it all but we were offered takeaway containers to take it home. The staff were really lovely, and helpful when we were choosing from the menu. The manager in particular was really great, made us feel welcome and special and chatted to the kids about their food.

Great Sunday night visit. The staff are attentive and friendly. We were seated on a lovely table and informed that there was a Sunday banquet deal so we decided to give it a go. The deal is unbelievable and you get a starter, main, side and rice or naan. We had a huge selection between 2 adults and 2 (hungry) boys. Wow what can I say the food was great! I had a very spicy boinga chicken and the others shared bhajis, samosa and a chicken wrap. Mains were also great! We had no room for deserts but the boys were given a complimentary cocktail which was a lovely touch. Will be back very soon

We had a reservation and arrived to a virtually empty restaurant where they initially offered us a small table close to their busy front entrance which we declined. They then proceeded to lead us out to the back section by the kitchen and seated us next to a table of four men. And so the disastrous evening began. These men seated adjacent to us, were the most vile creatures. In an empty restaurant they were shouting at top of their voices discussing the women they have been intimate with in VERY graphic detail. My husband is not a placid man. He’s an ex boxer and extremely respectful of women. These men were not. We had our daughter with us and for my husband not to say something (under my instruction as I knew it would kick off) was testament to my persuasive powers as his wife although I could see my husband was furious and could explode at any moment. We tried to block out the noise and my husband said we will just eat and get out of there. Would have been a good idea only our order had been ‘lost’. Tables were filling up fast and all were receiving their food. Not us. After waiting 45 minutes for our starters, we flagged a waiter down who gave a half hearted apology, went into the kitchen and miraculously appeared with all our starters which had been rushed to prepare and were swimming in grease. The onion bhajis were inedible. Soggy balls that were saturated with oil. Nowhere close to resembling the usual onion bhajis made by the Fort. When clearing our plates, the waiter could see they had not been eaten but he just smiled. I couldn’t contain myself saying they were awful and again he just smiled. Obviously a communication barrier! The mains were not much different. We have been coming to the Fort for donkeys years so know what our regular dishes taste like. This was like being at a completely different restaurant. Food was shocking. Staff not really interested in their customers. A racket coming from the kitchen. Sadly, to treat regulars in the way we treated means we will now start using The Dipalee instead. The Fort is no longer number 1 Indian cuisine in Buckingham and to regain top place it’s going to need a lot of hard work and a lot of changes.

Horrible food. They are selling the wrong dish I've ordered butter chicken and I have never eaten such a horrible butter chicken in my life. They are making fool in the name of Indian food.

I never give bad reviews but great tasty meal and reasonably priced for food. Drinks were absolutely extortionate but I guess that's how they make their money! A group of 10 celebrating a birthday. They took drinks order seperate, which was strange. After telling them 2 or 3 tines we needed seperate bills as everyone wanted to pay for their own meals etc, they presented us with a jumbled up bill, which was only food. Drink was on a seperate bill, which they would not give us to work out the extra cost. Everyone added up exactly what they had and we all paid separately. They then came to our table and said that we was £9 short. This did not make sense. We asked again to see the bill, so we could work it our for ourselves and they conviently said they had lost it, so how did they know we was £9 short. Either the menu prices weren't correct or they are diddling their customers. All in all, lovely food & great company but s**t hosting skills!!!!! First time there, not impressed!!! Would return BUT would tally up as we go.

Really nice food.. Lamb passanda was very nice, tender with plenty of flavour in the sauce. The other dishes were also good, We all enjoyed our meals.

This restaurant has been a firm family favourite for many years. The staff are so polite and friendly, always adding those extra touches and making everyone feel so welcome. The food is absolutely excellent and they will happily let you take away any leftovers. Highly highly highly recommended.

We were here again last Friday night and once again not disappointed! This is 100% our go to Indian restaurant for the local area. Food and service excellent every time. My partner can never remember what it was he was recommended and liked last time, but the head waiter always remembers correctly! Great food, great staff, cannot fault. Of course we will be back!

I haven't eaten here for years and was delighted to see the high standards have been maintained since my last visit. Lovely well cooked food and genuinely warm welcome. Restaurant was quiet on a Sunday evening but I was assured Friday and Saturday nights are full, so best to book. There's a few Indians in Buckingham, in my experience this one continues to lead the way

Excellent service as usual. Have had many meals both in the restaurant and delivery to the house. Never disappoints.

Went on a busy Friday night so service was a little slower at points just because it was full!! Still a great experience, a family favourite with great food. Would recommend booking a few days in advance to make sure you get in!

Food was really delicious, especially the specialities. Waiters were really nice, polite and friendly. A great choice of music - not too loud nor too quiet. Overall a great experience, would recommend.

Worst Indian ever! Ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala and a Beef Madrass. I've never had a Chicken Tikka Massala that is made with an (OVERPOWERING) Coconut base and was so sickly sweet, it was inbearable to eat. If I wanted a Korma, that's what I would have asked for. As for the beef madrass...it was bearable...but lacked any flavour other than curry powder. I contacted the restaurant the next day as our food was delivered at 11pm (ordered late due to travel) so they were closed. I asked for a refund for the tikka massala. I was told that ALL indian restraunts make massala with a coconut base, to which I disagreed. I was told that I should have read their menu before ordering. I explained that even if i had read the menu and ordered a KORMA, I would have still asked for a refund as it was so bad , I could not eat it. He advised me it would have to be discussed with the manager and they would call me back that day. The next day I had to chase this up as no one had contacted me back. I was forced into an argument with this same staff member due to his attitude. He said the manager was not available and offered me a discount voucher off my next purchase from them. I expressed that I was visiting and also had no intentions of ever purchasing from them again. I said I would rather speak direct to the manager and get a refund. I was promised a call back. I am yet to recieve that phone call, 3 days later. So not only is the food bad...so is the Customer Service!!

One of the best Indian take aways I’ve had. I highly recommend them. Their customer service is polite and professional and the food quality and quantity is marvellous.

Bad... Tikka masala with coconut??? If I wanted a korma I would have asked. And the Madras I make better ones myself. I know it was a late order but I would like good food when I pay good money.. Never again..

Had a lovely meal here last night. The venue, atmosphere and food were all superb. Staff are polite and friendly all coming together to make an enjoyable relaxing meal. We visited on one of their “Banquet” nights making the meal affordable too.

Not the tastiest curry I've ever had. 6/10. Previously I've rated them very high but this evening it was watery, soggy and a quite tasteless. I didn't finish a single of the 5 dishes I ordered. A surprise.

We came here for an evening birthday meal as a group of 5. Our drinks orders were taken but the order for a salty lassi came back as a sweet one so had to be sent back. This was the only weak point in an otherwise spectacularly good meal. My spicy fishcake starter was excellent, the onion bhajis and kebabs others had were all very well received. For main I chose a chicken pathia, rice and naan and could barely finish it all but it was delicious. Every dish was met with approval. The food here really is superb.

Always a great curry. Onion bhaji's are the best! Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Great if it's sit in or take away. I drive all the way from Brackley. Which has 4 curry houses, non of which I would choose over the Fort.

Best chicken korma I've ever had anywhere. The food, the restaurant and the service are top quality and yet the prices are extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

Havnt been for two years , but brilliant night fantastic meal

It has been many years since I last visited the Fort. It still is in my head when it was the Barrel Pub. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was nice. It was generally a nice evening although the place lacked a good ambeounse

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I phoned up to place an order this evening for delivery, and was told because i was only ordering for 1 person they wasn't willing to deliver my meal, i think this is discussing service, and from now on I won't be using them

Good food, good service, would recommend

The food provided by the Fort never fails to please. However, our take away on 9 September was absolutely first class. Telephone ordering is always very straightforward and they are always flexible (e.g. making a starter size main course or vice-versa. They also box it up incredibly well which keeps it hot and makes transportation very easy. Of course, at the end of the day, it is all about the food and, whilst consistently good, on this occasion it was excellent. We had a variety of dishes for 4 people and they were all well prepared and delicious. My only observation on a personal note is that the tarka dhal is always a bit more liquid than I would prefer but the flavour is very good and does lend itself to dipping a naan bread. We are very lucky to have such a great Indian restaurant in Buckingham.

Have been visiting Buckingham Fort now for 20 years plus. Never had a bad meal . Really friendly staff and the food is fab. Even though i have moved away i still enjoy a curry when visiting friends and family. Well done guys.

Had a lovely meal here on our way back home after a day out. We didn't have a booking, but were given a table. The staff were great, but the food is excellent. Best Indian meal we have had in a long time.

I was informed about banquet nights by a colleague so we decided to go for a meal one Wednesday and WOW! Great staff, brillianr customer service and the food was top notch! So tasty!!! Great atmosphere. I cannot fault this place at all and I can't wait to come back.

Excellent food. Attentive staff. The best Indian Restaurant in Buckingham. Even after 4 or 5 years of not going (i have moved from the area) the manager remembered me, asked about my family and generally made the visit an extra special one.

Treat everyone as an individual, nothing too much trouble and friendly, knowledgeable staff.

We occasionally stay overnight in Buckingham and in our motorhome and head for the Fort. Happily it was banquet night and we enjoyed a huge and delicious meal at a bargain price. All Covid rules were followed and the service was excellent.

Went in tonight 19/5/21 and all was brilliant, masks were worn by us customers and staff , was so nice to be back in the resturant again and all the staff were fab, had a good laugh with one of the staff which was so lovely and was so lovely to be part of the new lads first day, he did a great job and I've even learnt how to carry plates from a table.. resturant style as he was training with us..im so going to try it at home!! Please go out, out and visit them to support them back after this horrid time, the food was great too as always...always reccomend the Fort to everyone...🤩

Lovely Indian food. Particularly like their Chingri Sagwahla.. King prawn, seafood and spinach.

We ordered a takeaway for 4 last Saturday. We were not disappointed. It was piping hot when brought home and as good as eating in the restaurant itself. The standards, Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala were super tasty with tender chicken pieces. I branched out and enjoyed Chingri Sagwala, a really civilised mix of seafood and spinach. It was washed down well with our own bottle of NZ sauvignon blanc!

So we couldn’t really do anything special for my partners 50th birthday but birthday boy was happy with a good Indian take away and a movie. Simple I thought- well I was very wrong. Phoned at 6, line was busy. Always a good sign of a sought after restaurant so we persevered. Placed our order at 6:10pm. Was told 50 minutes, bit longer than we hoped but hey we could wait that long for a really good meal. Phoned again at 7:10 and was told they would be with us in 10 more minutes. We gave them a little leaway and phoned again 7:55. Murphy’s law our meal arrived whilst we were on the phone - 8:04. Just under two hrs! 2hrs we waited for food. By the time it arrived our movie was almost over and it was too late to eat so £30 minutes wasted! Not impressed in the slightest.

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening at 6-30pm - We selected a buffet meal - Meaning you can choose a starter main meal and side etc - We found the food of a high standard and plentiful so much so the Mrs took some of her main meal home - Only items to improve on was the pilau rice had some rice lumps in and the food could have been warmer when put on the table - We enjoyed the meal and will return. Tip try the Bangla beer one of the best but not available in all Indian restaurants

Food was bang average .missed a starter although the lovely staff did offer to bring the correct one out its a bit late after everyone else had eaten theirs by the time the staff had dealt with this. Main was OK. Rather expensive. Wouldn't go back if it was free

Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Buckingham

We had been before and had very good food, but last time we went the service was very poor - they didn't get the order correct, and despite telling them both over the phone and on arrival that we were going to the cinema and needed a quick turnaround, service was slow and it was hard to attract staff's attention. Some staff seemed to be standing around, but not willing to fulfil simple requests.

Great food and great service. I'm looking forward to going back.

I was working away and done some research for a local indian restaurant. It was a Wednesday night (banquet) great value deal where you get a starter, main, side and rice or naan. Every dish was perfect. Never had such a tasty saag paneer. The restaurant was packed but the staff went out their way to fit me in without a booking - much appreciated.

I’ve been coming here for years.... sadly the service gets slower. They are very busy but if only they said sorry we are running late I wouldn’t mind ....The food is good but as I say very slow disjointed service .... I so t eat there again on a Saturday evening. Service too slow. Too long between menus.. order...& courses ... yet fast to offer drinks refills ... even bill took ages...

We were seated in a far corner of the restaurant, and service was slow. The popadoms were very good, but the rest of the food was at best mediocre. The onion bhaji I had was very large, but also dripping in grease. Main courses were all different, but appeared to be made from the same sauce... The carpets are also quite dirty and the gents toilets left a lot to be desired, overall the whole place felt quite grimey. Won't be returning.

Food is reasonably good with scope for much improvement. Service and ambiance is good. A bit more heating and hot water would have been great. You will not get a printed itemised bill though, only your credit card receipt. I was not able to expense it for my business meal... disappointed!

Always amazing food and one of the few Indian restaurants that I know that serves beef on its menu. The banquet menu on a Wednesday and Sunday is exceptional value and as a result, can be busy. Book to avoid disappointment 😊
