Red Chilli Gold in Aylesbury Vale

It was my wife's birthday, it had been a busy day. I’m housebound so popping to a restaurant was not an option. My wife needed a break from shopping on foot for a meal (we have no car).Our previous takeaway delivery meal been spoiled by delivery in plastic boxes- great for microwave owners but risky for owners of ovens. I phoned Red Chilli Gold and was reassured by a friendly voice that the food would be delivered in a box in aluminium foil trays. Ordering by phone was facile and the same phone waiter was quick, likeable and efficient? The dishes came on time and as ordered.Starters of plain and spiced poppadums were crispy and tasty whilst the small pots of chutneys were excellent. ‘He’ had special ‘fish of the day’ : sea bass in a lovely sauce, whilst she had delicious duck in another house special sauce served with extra red wine.Sides, naan and two different rice dishes were perfectly prepared. Gosh were we full and happy at the end. Our experience was perfect. We shall order again and tell others not to bother with competing restaurants : head for RED CHILLI GOLD🐠❣️

Normally really enjoy red chilli but the curry had more vegetables than sauce and meat and the naans were sadly burnt. Was also mega pricey this time round ! So disappointing.

Probably the best curry in the county

We had an excellent starter of poppadoms, and the relishes were super yummy. The starters and mains were also excellent. The staff were warm and attentive, without being intrusive. The price was good and they gave me a rose 🌹 on leaving which was a nice touch. Thank you for a memorable evening ✨️

Having eaten many curry dishes in many countries and many places including Curry Mile Manchester I have to say I have NEVER eaten such opulent dishes as I did at this restaurant. Each dish was outstanding. We had the banquet and the amount of food was amazing. The staff couldn’t be any more attentive if they tried. I honestly can’t recommend this restaurant enough.

We have been going to Red Chilli Gold for many years. The food is always superb, and the service from polite and attentive staff is second to none. Highly recommended.

Very bad experience was not busy but the waiters where walking around will avoid this restaurant best not go there as its bad quality meat and poor service lacking on flavours.

My mum and I went out for banquet night. We absolutely cannot fault the food, service or the atmosphere. Very welcoming and warm aura being given from the staff, we were very well looked after by staff. Great food, and it was all so flavoursome, served quick and with a smile. Will definitely be back again. Highly recommend.

These boys know a curry when you ask

Food was nice, but every waiter was whispering like they were scared to get in trouble. Couple of thumbs on my food when it was coming out too which if I’m honest I’m not a fan of.

We visited Red Chilli Gold as a couple without a booking but were still able to be seated. Our orders for drinks were taken and we were given time to look over the menu. Once we had our food orders taken the food was served promptly and served hot. Throughout our dining experience the staff were attentive but not too obtrusive. At the end of a pleasant experience we took a cheesecake home as we were unable to eat anymore but wanted something sweet for later. We were offered a complimentary drink but declined as I don't drink and hubby had enough. When we got to the door to leave I was given a single stem rose 🌹. Another nice gesture that added to that customer satisfaction.

Unfortunately the waiter didn’t agree “sharing a banquet was not allowed” was his response. Despite explaining our situation he said that this is the policy of the restaurant. We were not prepared to be manipulated and we informed him that two would not eat so we insisted that five orders be taken. Unfortunately our poorly guest took a turn for the worse and after the starters we decided to leave and take the meal as a take away (without the coffee’s) On leaving and paying the bill the owner claimed that there had been a communication problem and we could have ordered other dishes to share. Restaurants have to balance generating income (it cost us over £140) and giving good customer care on this occasion they definitely got it wrong. Not the celebration our 18 year old wanted to experience.

Had a lovely experience and very friendly staff

Tonight we ordered a take-away meal from Red Chilli Gold in Buckingham & the Panir Tikka Massala dish was just terrible. The panir had obviously been re-heated many times and had a thick crust around every chunk making them very dry and very tough - almost impossible to cut. Also far too much coconut in the sauce. After one mouthful, just left it all for the food bin. I had expected something edible for £9.95. Rest was OK, not great but OK.

The food is excellent and the staff are great, can't fault anything

We ordered a delivery for two. My partner ordered a butter chicken which was yellow (not sure if we actually received a passanda?) and my pathia tasted very bland. Called up to explain that the butter chicken wasn’t very nice at all - to be asked if we even know what one tasted like… Our food was also warm at very best to which they said it’s because we live too far away. If 3.4 miles away is too far to provide hot food then maybe don’t offer delivery? To top it off, the two staff members we spoke to on the phone were extremely rude and we will not be returning. There are lots of great curry houses in Buckingham so please pick wisely before spending your hard earned cash!! I decided to bite the bullet - pay our money again & go back to an old favourite where we got a (red) butter chicken and a pathia - both of which were lovely!

Regularly use the Red Chilli, weather you want to eat in or get a takeaway the food and customer service never disappoints

First time here. Nice decor, authentic music. Friendly, attentive staff. Reasonably priced, decent sized portions, food tasted great. Will return. Recommended.

Takeaway for 6 last night. Prompt and friendly delivery service with food packaged well and hot. Delicious meals all round - variety of mains with rice and nans. Excellent (and enormous tasty onion bhajis). Generous portions and cooked to perfection. Best takeaway by far. Highly recommend it

Had a meal there over the Easter weekend every part of it was very tasty service was very good and staff very friendly highly recommend the place.

Great food. Booking advised as it gets busy. Staff very friendly. Not over-priced. Everything is edible. You can even customise some dishes.

Fabulous banquet meal. The food and service was excellent and great value for money. Coffee was delicious and a Complimentary drink given too. We will all be back soon.

We went into the restaurant last night as we were staying overnight. The restaurant was busy but we were found a table straight away. The staff were all very polite and our waiter Raj was very attentive and took time to chat to us. The food was really good, a good selection of dishes on the menu with reasonable prices too. Lovely restaurant, wonderful food, attentive service. A good variety of curry dishes, been trying different dishes for each visit - have yet to disappoint. Came highly recommended, absolute gem of a place. Balinga fish and Sagwala lamb are so far my favourites.

Stopped in for lunch, had a very good ‘meal for two’ - starters and mains with rice and naan - delicious tender chicken, well presented and excellent value. Highly recommended!

Visited here a few times now with friends and as a couple. Every time has been enjoyable. The staff are friendly the food is delicious and hot, the restaurant is clean and the atmosphere just right. Which is why I keep coming back.

We called in for an early supper on our motorhome travels. Friendly staff, quick service and excellent food. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.

The Red Chilli is a regular event to meet up with friends. The ambience and friendly staff make this establishment better than the average Indian restaurant. The food is excellent and service is always efficient and not overwhelming. The Red Chilli maintains and excellent standard.

We had a takeaway from this excellent Indian restaurant on Saturday night. Both our meals were lovely but in particular the king prawn Dansac I had was beautiful and possibly the best I’ve ever had. Layers of flavour in a lovely rich source. with some of the best king prawns. I’ve eaten in a long time. Will definitely be going back.

A good honest Indian restaurant. Very welcoming and with a good local clientele, who seem to get very fond of the place. Staff were all polite and professional, with no sniggering at my inability to deliver a spoonful of Jalfrezi to my plate and landing it on the table cloth! The food was good: papadum good and a wide selection of sauces to go with. Chicken Jalfrezi, good Mattar paneer ok, but surprising topping of cheddar cheese ... Just didn't work! Naan and pilau excellent. And no problems with the draft Kingfisher. Very welcoming and I don't think you could go too far wrong eating here

A lovely evening, they found a table for us even without a booking, despite it being a very busy weekend evening. The food and service were both great, will definitely eat there again.

Vegetarian madras ordered for a vegetarian contained chicken. Mistakes can happen but the staff was immediately very defensive and insinuated we were lying. no refund was offered, after some talks they offered to cook a replacement meal if we travelled back to the restaurant (it was a takeaway) but overall they didn’t seem to care. Otherwise the curry was mid at best so I wouldn’t be coming back here again, real shame!!

Fantastic food with more than generous portions, excellent service and lovely friendly staff. The best Indian restaurant in the area. Have been going there for years and never had a poor meal. We've been coming here ever since we moved to Buckingham. The food is always such good quality and great service. I need gluten free food and can have pretty much everything on the menu (I would suggest that they advertise this more!). We came here for a 30th Birthday and 10 of us were served efficiently and they even decorated the table for us and were helpful with lighting candles on birthday cake etc, which was much appreciated. Lovely complimentary Bailey's/Brandy at the end and a rose for the girls. Couldn't recommend here enough :) P.s. highly recommend the KB Special!

Waited 2 hours just for the starter!! Waiter was rude and ignorant, would rather head to mcdonalds!!!!! Food was cold and so greasy. If youre thinking of going here, think again!!!

The meal was absolutely amazing

I had a chicken biriyani from this restaurant.Then I realised that it’s not an Indian one and services are also poor quality (from the behaviour of waiters )

Both my wife and myself had a lamb based curry both found the lamb dry snd tough. My dish called a lamb mogul was disappointing , just contained loads of potato and tough lamb.

Whilst visiting my mother in law in Buckingham we decided to go for a curry and opted for red chilli restaurant. From the first moment nothing was too much trouble, the waiters were courteous, the food was delicious - the best curry I have had in a long time. There was a really good choice of types of dishes, even down to the amount of sauces and pickles with the popadoms. After our lovely meal we were given a hot cloth to cleanse the hands, chocolates and even offered an after dinner liqueur, which we declined, but it was still a lovely touch. As we were leaving the ladies were each given a yellow rose which was such a wonderful surprise. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want a great curry and hopefully will dine there again.

Birthday dinner for 14 people, the service was fantastic, all meals and drinks served accurately and swiftly, the food was really tasty and beautifully presented and the best prawn puree in town. Would definitely recommend the ‘chilli’ to everyone.

Wow what a fantastic meal we had on Saturday evening. The menu had so many different dishes we haven't come across before , it was great to try new things & we wasn't disappointed. The choice was incredible, the food piping hot , the service very good , plentiful portions of food , not rushed out , relaxing atmosphere & was a nice touch to be offered after dinner drinks on the house . Just had the best Takeaway delivered by the Red Chilli. King Prawn Dhansak was really smokey and garlicky, Chicken Madras had a kick , Onion Bhajees so crisp everything tasted really fresh and delicious absolutely perfect ! And we are regulars never disappoints
