Just ordered food for iftaar today it was absolutely amazing. Everything was on point. Great customer service from Sajid even while placing our order. Will definitely be ordering again.

I recently ordered chicken and veg biryani for the first time from this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a highly disappointing experience. Despite paying the same price as other restaurants, the quantity of biryani received was barely enough for a single person. This lack of portion size left us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. Furthermore, the quality of the biryani did not meet our expectations. The flavors were lacking, and overall, it fell short of the standard we were hoping for. As a result, we have decided not to order from this restaurant again. It’s disheartening when a meal fails to live up to expectations, especially when it comes to something as beloved as biryani. We hope that the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration and works towards improving the portion sizes and quality of their dishes for future customers.

Well on dark rain cold Thursday we just wanted to be fed after a long day working and other family commitments but wow we’re surprised the parking 🅿️ is either outside after 7 or the two massive car parks on council run across the roundabout and one across the road in the retail park anyway maybe more importantly back to food walked into a warm cosy place satisfying on the cold dark evening. The food was ordered on recommendation and wow the lamb and chicken curry with juicy mixed grill washed with mango lassi prefect end to our evening. Given us the energy to drive back to otherside of the county with a 2/3 boxes of leftovers for tomorrow. Oh forgot to mention the bill for all food and kind hospitality was very small considering the quality of the food and service provided. Definitely worth a visit for all great food lover you won’t be disappointed. By the way this my first time for a curry in Aylesbury and I am not local or even from Buckinghamshire!

Since the management has changed (rude mountain monkeys from Kashmir), service is completely rubbish. Does not taste the same as before. Went twice and food taste and service has gone so downhill, we completely stopped now. Very cold people owning the shop now. A sweet sugary chicken dish which they call korma but its not even korma.

Brilliant food and brilliant service. Highly recommended… The tawa platter was on point and brother serving I believe his name was sajid was very helpful and accommodating. We will be back soon no doubt..

The BEST curry restaurant in Aylesbury. The service is second to none. Food is always very tasty. We have been going there/ having takeaways for years now. If you havent already, I'd strongly recommend you go and try it out!

What a gem. If your local or traveling back from a shopping spree in Bicester Village, this is the spot to go if your interested in some yummy Pakistani/Indian cuisine. Scrumptious food and top end service from staff and management. Price's are spot on and not overly priced like some of the other establishments in the local area. Me and my wife was recommended to try the mix platter for 2-3 people by the manager/owner. Excellent choice. We got to try bits of the menu and it was spot on. All Halal of course. Will be back 100%, when we go back to Bicester Village. 10 stars. Thank you guys for a lovely dinner ❤️

Pleasant, friendly staff. Good food at very reasonable prices. Take your own alcohol if you want. They do not sell alcohol, only tea, coffee and soft drinks.

First time trying and got delivery. It arrived within 30mins but ordered around 9:45pm. I enjoyed my meal very much! Had jalafrezi which came with pilau rice, mirpuri chicken (pineapple and banana) and vegetable tindaloo. First time trying a fruit curry and for some reason I really enjoyed it. It was not spicy more like a savoury gravy and with fruit pieces. The vegetable tindaloo, spicy but not as spicy as I thought. Did give me the sniffles though😂 Overall everything was very nice. I wish the portion was bigger though hence the 4 stars

I can’t recommend EL HALAL restaurant enough. The staff made me feel very welcoming, and service was at a very high standard. If you ever fancy very nice and tasty asian food, then this place is 100% the place go to. EL HALAL AYLESBURY. Amazing :)

Very busy but hot quality food.

It was my sons 18th birthday so we all decided to order from here and thank god we did! I ended up over ordering but still was ate! Its was delicious! I even ordered the wrong thing and they quickly sent me out a new order. It's affordable and well worth the money! Will definitely order again and definitely recommend. Exquisite! I used to visit this restaurant as a child, and I was in two minds about whether to visit again, after 30 years away, but ended up deciding I would take the risk. I'm so glad I did! The decor has changed, but the food hasn't - it's every bit as good as I remember. The owner was very attentive, too. I highly recommend this Aylesbury institution. Give it a go!

We’ve made this our new favourite place to eat recently. The food is lovely, delicious kebabs and the best naan bread! The service is excellent, thanks to the waiter (I will find out his name next time ! )

A return visit to one of the best Indians around. Have been going to the El Halal for years, and as always the food and service were excellent. We were a large group of 12 or more, but as ever they coped fantastically and everyone was very pleased. It's why we keep going back. Just remember to take your own booze

We have been eating at the El Halal for many years, both eat in and takeaway, and have always had fantastic service and food. Sunday was no exception. We booked for 12 people to eat for a Father’s Day celebration and were greeted warmly on arrival. Catering for a large number can be tricky but not here. All the starters that we had arrived together and were delicious, likewise our mains - I must give a particular shout out to their lamb as I am fussy about fat and mine was lean and very tender! We look forward to enjoying many more evenings there.

We’ve been to a number of curry houses but this one beats the lot. With clean-tasting food, plenty of flavour, not swimming in mounds of oil, this is the place for a good curry. Plenty of meat rather than a few bits of meat in an ocean of sauce, very reasonable prices and pleasant, helpful staff. It’s a bit of a shame it has more of a cafe-style feel to the place rather than a nice restaurant but… great food!

This is my second time using this place and both times I got the tawa platter,which is enough for 4 adults and it is absolutely the best platter you can buy in Aylesbury. No other restaurant even comes close. Good food, good service and great value for money. Look no further. I will deffo be ordering again soon. Thank you El Halal :)

Great Food, Great ambience and service from Waqas and the team. We ordered a mix Tava for 2 - the food order came with 4 Naan breads plus chicken curry, lamb curry and loads of starters - lamb chops, kebabs a, lamb chops etc. highly recommend and the lassi was amazing as well. Perfect for night out at the theatre - only 4 mins walking distance e away!

Have been visiting El Halal for over 10 years and it never disappoints. Even better that I won a free meal and decided to try a new dish which has become my favourite. Great food and great service as always. Best Indian in Aylesbury by far

Great food and service yet again from the best curry restaurant in Aylesbury.This place has served me well for many years now.Since moving to wales Whenever I come home to see friends we always return to El Halal and its still the best 👌...please ...if u like a good curry ...visit El Halal...its simply the best....and its bring your own booze... So ....good value too.

Food is absolutely beautiful! Best curry in Aylesbury for sure. Can't fault the food or the service. They have a decent sized menu with a range of different curries. All the staff are really really friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. We had a birthday there recently and they let us come in early and decorate the table and bring in a birthday cake. When they brought it out they played music for us too, nothing was too much trouble!

I've been using El Halal for years. Food is always piping hot, I never have to wait long and everyone there is so friendly. From the guys who take the calls to the delivery drivers. The food is always consistently amazing and I cannot recommend them enough. For me and the wife they are Number 1. I phoned tonight at the guy knows straight away what I will order.Also as a side note in all those years they have never made mistake with my order. Seasons greeting El Halal team and thankyou. This is the best Indian in Aylebsury. Have been eating here for years. Always great quality and deliciou food. Nice range of dishes.

Went here for dinner with my 2 young boys and husband the food was spot on so delicious I cant rate the service enough I always get a take away from here but because of the service was so good I will be going into the restaurant from now on, my young boys were trying Indian food for the 1st time they recommended what foods to get and even praised them for eating it really made my boys feel proud of themselves and they want to go back its the little things that make me happy and they won my vote for it all food, service and a great evening cant beat that!

We ordered a simply take-away of tandoori chicken, prawns, Naan bread and dahl. The chicken hadn't been marinated/brined properly and so was as dry as anything - tandoori cooked foods should be moist inside, but sadly so rarely are from many restaurants. The prawns were so dry they were almost chewy. But they cost £12. I normally don't order Indian food from anywhere for precisely these reasons. We only did because I felt lazy, I should know better. I will return to cooking Indian food myself on my tawa and wood fire outside.

What an amazing restaurant. The Tawa platter is amazing. The food was very tasty and well presented. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Aylesbury. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone who like Indian food.

I ordered takeaway as due to lockdown not able to visit places. I must say it was the best curry I had. We make curries at home everyday but one from El-halal was perfectly seasoned and spice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends. 5 Stars

So pleased to be back at our favourite curry restaurant. Had a lovely meal and service excellent as always. My vegetable bhuna was really nice. We will continue to eat here as always good.

I’ve eaten here a few times, always been good. What a disappointment this time. Apathetic staff who really didn’t seem interested in serving us. Restaurant wasn’t busy so no reason. Had to keep ‘ catching someone’s eye’ to get anything. I always order mild choices & never had a problem food always good. I struggled to eat as more spices than I’ve had before, even though it was the same dish as previous visits. However I appreciate that might be me. It’s mainly the service I have issue with. Again maybe me , but who serves tea with milk already in it!! Had to send back as I don’t like much milk. No offer of sugar , then only brown.

My family have been going to El Halal for over 20 years and in that time I've never had a bad meal. We go to the restaurant where the staff are all professional and polite. We also have takeaways. They are delivered quickly and have always been a tasty treat

I ordered a takeaway from here last night ordering 3 different dishes. When it arrived we couldn’t distinguish what was what as nothing was written on lids. The dishes all looked the same and they all seemed to taste the same. I wanted Lamb Patia and we decided that the dish which tasted slightly hotter was mine. This place was £8 cheaper for what I normally order from another place which is closed on a Monday ( hence why I tried here)and now I know why. It was one of the worst Patias I have ever had the colour the taste was not there. We will not be using this place again and ripped up their menu.

Absolutely gross! Very oily and the different meals were unmarked and looked all the same. All we could taste was the oil! Used it yrs ago and wasn’t good, we thought after a few yrs they might have learned something but NO! Definitely the worse Indian I ve had to this day.Never again and the menu also went in the bin .

My husband & I had dinner here last night, we brought our own bottle of wine and ordered our starters & mains. Each course was served warm & both were tasty. The price of food were value for money, I would recommend this Indian restaurant to everyone.

Have been going to the El Halal on and off for the last 25 years or so, and this evening's meal was as excellent as always. No matter what curry I've ordered I've never had a bad meal or bad experience.Whether as part of group of 10 or more or as tonight just 3 of us, the service is always as good as the food.Just remember to take your own beer or wine as they don't sell their own, and you won't be disappointed.A really great curry house.

Meal was so oily it took half a roll of kitchen towel to drain the dishes. Chicken tasted burnt, and all the curries had a strange granular texture. Even the breads were poor. I am not a fussy type but this was inedible. Went into the bin and we had an excellent meal from The Golden Bengal instead. Never again.

Four of us visited the El Halal on Saturday night, the restaurant was full but as always we were made most welcome, received the usual perfect service, served an excellent combination of tasty quality food at very reasonable prices with the added bonus of " Bring Your Own " keeping costs down. We arrived at 18:30 and we had the table for the evening for as long or short as we wished, unlike some other local restaurants who double book and require the table back turning the experience into a canteen environment, rather than a social gastronomic event.Have been visiting the ElHalal for over 30 years now starting back when Arif and son Chooky looked after us, so it was lovely to see Arif's son Fiaz managing on Saturday night with the same personal flair and skills as his father.

Another year goes by and another year of great food from the El Halal. The restraunt is always clean, and the staff are always friendly, and welcoming. It’s worth mentioning that they are sporting a new website for table reservation and takeaway ordering. It’s so refreshing to see an independent restraunt make moves to stand strong without the likes of ‘Just Eat’ and co. Our Family favourite - BYOB - I recommend the Murg Jalfrezi.

I’ve been coming here for the last 15 years and absolutely love the food, staff and service. Highly recommended and my favourite BYOB.

We had tickets to the theatre and wanted supper beforehand. To honest the restaurants opposite did not appeal so we decided on a punt with the TA recommendations, this place came up very highly. A short walk from the open air car park found us in a scaffold covered street but we carried on undeterred until we found the restaurant. The front of the building was very unassuming and quite non-descript but when we ventured inside we were met very warmly, the decor was functional, clean and well kept. We chose of the specials and the food arrived within 20 or so minutes from order. All cooked in clay ovens to give a great taste, not swimming in Ghee and really very good. For the price, ambiance and quality of food, this really is worth a try just slightly off the beaten track.

Grear value and very tasty food. My favourite Indian in Aylesbury -habe been going here for years. Bring your own booze.

Consistently good food and great value. Service is always excellent. Been using since way before just eat appeared. Only criticism could be that main Currys are smaller that some other restaurants. Achrai lamb is my recommendation.

I actually won this meal from the local radio station Mix 96, the restaurant and staff was very welcoming, the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Only drawback is lack of parking. Would recommend

Very poor guys give up if you can only offer this quality of food. No potato in the Vindaloo, old and not fresh made rice, oily veg dish and super oily porata. Budget food on a Major scale . Even a cheap non branded bottle of coke. Wont be using you again

Chicken Madras very nice with fresh meat. Saag Aloo could be a bit less oily.

The food was possibly cooked by a different chef tonight as it wasn't as nice as it usually is. The chicken had a strange flavour- not tikka but was heavily smoked which changed the taste of our usual jalfrezi curry. There were also large chunks of strong ginger which were also unusual in our dish. The changes made our take away unpleasant to eat so we ended up not eating it. Unfortunately disappointed.

Very tough and possibly old meat used. Did not get a cheese nan , plain instead. Keema naan was not good as they can produce,,,ie made fresh on site and not pre packed from freezer. Does not taste the same. Will go back to yet another best of the bad restaurants in Aylesbury.

Been using El-Halal for the past year and been very happy with the food. Tonight we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. It's certainly not up to our usual expectations Will certainly be trying other takeaways before ordering from gear again.

I will never order another meal from them again! The food was cold small portions and. When we rang El Halal to complain they were very rude and condiscending. We ask them to take the order back so we could obtain a refund and the man said he would never accept a takeaway order from us again! How rude I thought the customer was always right and we have freedom of speech.

Having visited this takeaway many times previously under the 'old' ownership, I can say that the food is still just as amazing! As is the service

Finally a chef who knows how to cook

This is an honest review from a customer who has eaten in this restaurant and ordered from them previous to new 'ownership'. Personally I found no difference in the quality of the food, tasted as good as it used to. My only gripe is that they do not look at the dietary special instructions.

The curries and rice were very tasty, I had a Lamb Rogan Josh and my boyfriend had a Chicken Achari. Only bad thing was that we ordered a garlic naan and a cheesy naan - yet both looked and tasted plain.. waste of £4.80. :(
