Excellent food .... Excellent service

Not a great experience, came with 9 people and left disappointed. The Rib eye steak costed £24 and it was the worst steak Ive had in my life. Everyone did not enjoy the food. Please do not order the steak as it doesn't look like meat, it looked artificial, cheap frozen food. The service was lousy, we had to get up numerous time to get any attention of the waiters to take our order. This place is only good for a social drink outside. The food is rubbish and over priced. Nice area which is why we thought we'd check it out. Won't be returning again.

Great place to eat and the staff are friendly and welcoming

Food was adequate but we’d booked a table for 6.00pm and what we ordered didn’t arrive at the table until after 7.00pm an hour wait is unacceptable and the duck was undercooked and fatty!! A shame, they got lots right but too much wrong - I doubt we’ll return for a second visit.

Went in to try the new pizzas and we can say they are right up the best in bingley

Attended a reception following a family funeral. Good food and friendly service. Will hopefully be back again soon in happier circumstances. The pub is located in a beautiful spot just by the river Aire

Good food, fast and pleasant service. Music too loud and raucous so difficult to hold a conversation. Would go again if warm enough to eat outside or music improved.

Nice, cosy and warm pub. Good pub food well presented. In spite of our party pre ordering our food before arriving, it still took nearly an hour to arrive. Severely under resourced.

Beer very good, but half of them were off! On a Saturday night!!!!

The place has changed quite a bit since I was last here, particularly outside, where a large outdoor area has been furnished and a pizza kitchen installed in one corner, offering additional options to the standard menu. Thomas Taylor beers are prevalent here and pumps line the bar with every option you might wish to sample. I will be back on my next visit to Bingley for sure.

The outdoor pizza bar is a great touch. Good selection of beers.

Lovely food, little on the pricey side but decent quality

Atmosphere was buzzing as it was a sunny afternoon. Service was good in the Barn where we waited a few minutes for a freshly prepared pizza which was mouth wateringly good. We are returning today with two more friends for lunch and drinks and would recommend The Brown Cow which seems to be dog friendly and family oriented.

5 stars for the beer but, unfortunately spoilt by the worst effort of a pizza I have ever experienced. This was supposed to be spicy sausage with jalapeños. I was hungry, it was busy and , for a tenner, I have learnt not to bother again! Sorry Brown Cow.. Your pizza chef lets you down.

We had just been on a walk with the Bingley Walkers group and we had passed the Brown Cow and saw it was really busy. On completing the walk we decided to take a chance to see if we could get a table. A very pleasant lady showed us to one of a few vacant tables and gave us the menus. I had a hard decision, but opted for the fish pie, what a marvelous choice! It was packed with fish and the most lovely sauce. Hubby had the chicken and his was also delicious! The girl behind the bar was unsure how to make an Aperol spritz, however with some help from a colleague, it was one of the best I have had.

Had a meal here with 2 friends. 2 of us had pizza from the separate outside shed and another had a chicken dish from the main kitchen. The chicken dish arrived first and was delicious. We waited a lifetime for the pizzas, and after 45+ minutes it transpired they had forgotten our order. In their bid to make up lost time, we ended up with pizza dough that wasn't cooked through and despite the nice toppings, was really below par, but we didn't have time to send it back as we had to move on!. All that said, this pub has a lovely atmosphere, and the bar staff were amazingly helpful especially the chap with the pink hair! From what I saw of food served on other tables (e.g fish and chips) it all looked great.

Just an eclectic mix of delight. Do Timmy T's make a bad beer? No, they don't. Ecstatic.

Under normal circumstances, I would rate The Brow Cow highly, but after last Friday's experience (05.04.24) I am less inclined to do so. I, and friends, arrived around 4.30pm and purposely picked a table that wasn't reserved. Around 6.00pm one of the bar staff plonked a reserved notice on our table, advising us that we were OK to stay there until 7.00pm. I wasn't happy about this and was informed 'oh that's ok, we'll find you another table'. Why the reserved notice couldn't have been put on the other table, I do not know. I simply informed the member of staff that it wouldn't be necessary as we would take our business elsewhere. I consider this to be very poor customer service, where someone wishing to eat takes priority over a group having a few drinks. It will be done time before I revisit this establishment.

Great food, fish n chips massive and tasted great

Beautiful scenery with nicely priced drinks. I only had myself a coke but it was lovely weather to sit in their beer garden. Very relaxing and just spot on for what you want a quick drink to be and more. Could smell everything that was cooking which smelt gorgeous, even though I didn't have the food, I will try it next time.

Having drunk & eaten in the Cow for years and always been pleased our last visit was a let down. A hugely popular Gastro Pub now, but with huge Gastro food prices. £18 for Sausage & Mash is extortionate! Although we do fully appreciate prices have gone up for everything I found this a tad greedy. Starter of Brie was luke warm and hubbys Belly pork starter very small. Its undergone alot of changes , some great, but pricewise I wont be returning.

Lovely setting, decent drink offerings, and good tasty food, including a gluten-free menu 👏. Only one guy working the front of house though, and he had many tables in both the bar and restaurant area's to serve food to, plus the actual bar to service. It was a Monday latr lunch, so maybe it was unusually busy (but plenty of guys workingbin the kitchen suggest maybe typically tlneeded). Overall, he was good, when got him. However, a bit of a wait each time to get attention, especially for extra bits whilst eating. Also, there was a slight annoyance of a dog in the managers/ owners area, which kept yapping (assume to be let down as it stopped when it was allowed, but then started up again when put back)! I'd come back though if passing again, as overall good experience.

Best food I've had dining out in a long time. Couldn't fault a thing, fabulous flavours and beautifully cooked food plus excellent beer to wash it down with.

A little noisy for me, being a wearer of hearing-aid. But good service and tasty, well prepared food. It's not surprising the pub is so popular.

Been on 3 occasions for lunch now and so far so good. Enjoyed the steak pie. Dont let your standards slide or your prices rise. Could do with dog free eating area. Not everyone likes dogs or wet dog smell. Just saying 🤔

Not been in a long time, worked here a long time ago the food is very good quality.

The food here is lovely but it took a long time to come out. Also had to ask for the bill and a card reader a couple of times but the waiters seemed to forget.

I personally found the pub far too noisy. We had a friendly welcome and taken to our table. I ordered the fish and chips and I left half of them as they really tasted unpleasant. I don't know what they're cooked in but I didn't like it. The chips were overdone. The batter on the fish was too thick and the mushy peas were tasteless. Really disappointing 😞

Quite to start with but got buser later on (6:30 ), very wet night, but seated at the side of a radiator and a open fire, mother and her mate of 65 years had the lamb shank, I had the steak and mushroom pie, my mothers mate son had a steak, lack off car parking spaces

I love a Timmy Taylor but this place is awful. The food was very poor, chicken breast was tiny and overcooked, the sauce was no existent, the greens were burnt and that was just one meal. The nibbles of Mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes was appalling, out of a jar and very basic mozzarella. Need I go on, pricey and incredibly slow, over 45 mins for one starter then 30mins more for terrible mains. I does have nice outside space since refurb, but lost its point of difference.

Nice pub but no vegan food options (apart from a starter and some sides) ... Very odd as they do have the Moving Mountains burger but decided to keep it as a veggie burger rather than vegan. So stayed for a drink only.

Nice pub and good beer. Decent sized beer garden and plenty of parking at the rear.

Great beer is still available. However, we ate at this pub this time, rather than just drank. The food appeared to just adequate for my 6 fellow guests, but unfortunately I ordered the smoked haddock with crushed potatoes and cabbage. My plate came with a small volcano shaped mound of undercooked, under seasoned, crushed new potatoes. These were clearly supposed to take my attention away from the miniscule piece of smoked haddock, which although tasted quite pleasant, was, and I kid you not, approx 6 x 5 x 1 cms in size, so was gone in two, well I can't call them mouthfuls, because they weren't! We were the last to order, so the kitchen had shut for main courses, so I didn't complain. But BUYER BEWARE if you're considering the fish course. :-(

Short of vegetables on the roast. One small piece of carrot and a bit of colliflower. 2 half roasties. Most of the meat nice , but beef a little tough. Had a bit of everything- tasty recipee, but yorkshire was over cooked and reminded me of fresh air. Crumbled away in your mouth. It's not my favourite place. Didn't come and ask us if everything was OK either.

If you like Timothy Taylors ales and a noisy environment its fine - much quieter outside on a warm sunny day.

Plenty of undercover outside space with a heater available for colder days . Was a great place to eat with nice food and staff .

Called in at this pub a second time as we found it has a great selection of Timothy Taylor beers. Good discussion with staff on the subject!

Went for the first time in years last night for a function - extremely clean inside and out, food was great and all came out in good time. We all pre-orders before the night which felt much more organised. Well done!

Great place great food, but the best things about this place is the staff they are truly outstanding.

We booked a table on a Tuesday night for a meal and then to join the weekly pub quiz. The food was excellent - recommend the sausage and mash. As for the pub quiz, unusually it was free to enter. Team size is limited to six people. We entered an adult and a kids team as there were eight of us. The first prize was a £25 voucher for the pub - which we won and we were able to use that to help pay for the food. A fun evening with good food and excellent service - really enjoyed it, in a nice pub.

Had a great meal again at the brown cow bingley. They have a really nice new outside beer garden. The food perfect and large portion size. The service was also great. Friendly, attentive, and polite. Thank you to the team at Brown Cow.

We came here on Tuesday purposely for the Quiz Night, we had great servers and the food was okay although not the best we’ve had this week. The quiz definitely made the evening a lot more fun especially when we ended up winning!

Went for lunch, sat outside as it was dog friendly. The staff where very friendly, huge range of beers and lovely atmosphere. The food was gorgeous. I had fish and chips and it was amazing quality. Lovely seating area outside. Definitely would recommend

Without doubt the worst meal I've been served in a very long time! Heard the place had invested and refurbed so thought we would go and support but what a disappointment. Service ridiculously slow and the "home made" burger tasted like something from a curb side burger van, was rancid, burned on the outside and grim on the inside. The fries tasted like they were fried in very old fat. Left every bit of the meal and went for a sandwich elsewhere. Sorry to say we won't be returning.

Menue limited on Sunday. Have been before and the food was good but this time not so. Only 1 out of 3 enjoyed their meal. Kiddies' sausage and mash were patties and not sausages so the 4 year old didn't eat it.

First visit here since its refurb, which has been done nicely. Service was good and sufficient. Menu was sparse and food disappointing. Prices were high for the quality of food. Beer was dear.

Only had drinks but it’s a really nice location to sit outside under the canopy. Heating is provided so if it gets chilly there is no need to leave or go inside.

Really tasty food, fabulous service from the young team of staff. Situated beside the river, particularly when sat in the rear beer garden, it’s pretty and peaceful.

Had a fantastic time at the Brown Cow. Servers were amazing help, friendly and worked obviously very hard and very well. Food was brilliant and came out quickly and perfect to order. The atmosphere definitely depends on the people who are there, yet with the performance space ' booked frequently definitely bought a great atmosphere of people and entertainment. Parking wasn't an issue and it was never a trouble for Taxis to access. Overall an amazing pub!

Underwhelming, atrocious service and sold out of most things Sunday afternoon. We pre ordered due to being a larger table and understood we would be on two separate tables. When we arrived we were placed on two tables in the middle of the bar. They informed us they didn’t have one of the starters. One of our party wanted to swap from Gammon to beef and we were told there was none left. No one took a drinks order so we had to keep going to the bar ourselves. All of the beer was warm. To the point we had to put ice in our San Miguel. The prawn starter arrived for four of us and we each had a different number of prawns and varying quality of garlic bread. The roast was cold and the majority of veg is frozen. We specifically requested no cabbage on one due to an allergy and they all came with cabbage. When we queried it, no one was bothered to change it. They free pour wine and don’t follow the Weights and Measures act of 1985. They tried to clear our table when some of us were still eating. When it came to desserts, the ones rubbed out were available and the ones showing weren’t….. We ordered two brownies and at no point did they mention any nuts. Again, showing a complete lack of allergen awareness. I tried to get the attention of the manager but no one was once bothered about our experience. No check backs, no “how was your meal” and not even a goodbye at the end.

Wow such a transformation 👏 live music indoors a fab atmosphere. It was an extremely hot night so we sat outside listening to the river. Lots of seating covered and uncovered. Unrecognisable

Noisy pub with kids running around eating burgers! We ordered the Gambas starter and got tiny prawns with burnt bread and a weak thin nearly spicy sauce, for the main the steak pie was overcooked and the pork chops turned out to be pork steaks, staff didn't seem to understand the difference 😕. Not overly expensive but doubt I would return.
