The Bromborough in Wirral

The bromborough hotel is one of the best pubs I’ve ever been in. This pub has friendly staff and a lovely choice of beers,every pint poured is poured with love. Belter brasses to!

This pub is the best pub in the area is a really good atmosphere and friendly staff would definitely recommend to other people, the food is lovely too

The bromborough is the best pub in the Wirral I come here every week and have done since I was 18 the staff are like family and look after me so much the food is amazing and the atmosphere is unmatched my whole family drinks in here and I will be drinking here for the rest of my life

Great staff all ways friendly showed me all that was on menu and different combinations you can have will be going back there again

Went to The Bromborough pub to watch Liverpools first game of the season This really is the place to watch Live football even better if you’re a Reds fan there was even a TV in the Lovely Beer garden The management team had every angle covered we’re ever you sit you could see the TVs we had some food which was delicious I must say the staff on the bar were amazing all I can say is this a Top Pub I will definitely be back 👍🍺

Visited with family and friends. Placed and paid for order to then find out 3 out of 5 meals ordered were unavailable. No steak, jacket potatoes, onion rings, gluten free bread, tomato juice etc. Had to reorder something we didn’t particularly want and mess about with refund/other payment. We then had a fairly long wait for food. Seemed short staffed as only 2 at bar despite place being busy. Lady who ordered after me spent ages ordering also as nothing her party wanted was available. Next lot of people were told 50 minute wait for the food. Spoilt out day out so would not visit again.

Awesome night at th Brom. Great staff and good atmosphere . The beer is reasonably priced and the staff are pleasant. A good place to drink. Great juke box as well. Playing pool is a great way to meet people and make friends and the regular players are very friendly.

Visiting from Kent and I can say a great pub with great staff. Very welcoming and the service and food were great. Will definitely go back when up this way again.

Went there for meals and drinks with family and friends were made to feel very welcome by the staff service and food was outstanding with a fantastic atmosphere would definitely recommend a visit we will all be going back again.as we enjoyed it so much.

Visited a few times now on a Monday evening for food and a few drinks with my family. The food is great value for money and the staff provide exceptional service. It's not often you visit a pub and are made to feel valued. They really do go the extra mile with a smile on their faces and good banter. The bromborough has become a firm family favourite with our family.

This is only my 2nd trip here but it absolutely was my last. There were 4 of us, went to order food, didn’t have want 3 of us wanted. Starter was brought out, wasn’t ours, young girl was then going round the tables to see who had ordered it. Turned out no one had because they brought out mozarrella bites and the person had ordered chicken strips. My sister in law ordered chicken wings …. My little finger was bigger, smallest chicken wings any of us had ever seen there were about 6 of them and they didn’t even cover the bottom of the bowl. I ended up with a cheese burger which was completely tasteless and they hadn’t even bothered to melt the cheese. It also wasn’t very hot. Didn’t send it back as we had already waited quite a while for the food to arrive. Just left it. My husband ended up with all day breakfast …. Cut into the toast it was so hard it snapped and went flying across the table. Sorry guys but a lot of improvement is needed

We have been coming here often as we have a limitless cinema ticket and we have been well looked after all the time.Big shout out to Jess who has always catered for us,a lovely welcoming face everytime.

Went for a pint after work as don’t go the Royal Oak anymore as the staff are very rude and food is awful, but this place seems good, track and trace and within a minute I was at the bar, be going back soon

Popped in for tea Great menu lots of variety for even the fussy eaters kids menu The food was brought to our table fresh and hot I had a steak pie it was delicious,my children had the usual chicken nuggets and chips ,plenty for them We enjoyed it that much we booked for lunch The next day which was also fantastic Plenty of bar drinks coffees etc on offer too The staff are friendly and welcoming Well done guys

Upon arrival kindly greeted and seated by a member of staff. Easy to order food and drinks. Safe environment. Food was good and friendly atmosphere made by staff. Overall very impressed given the current situation. Great value for money too!

We went for a family meal for the first time in five months because of the pandemic. Booked a table and was shown to the table by a member of staff. Tables were far too close to each other and made us feel uncomfortable. We ordered food at the bar and was not told that there would be a wait for food. We sat there for over an hour waiting and when it did turned up it was burnt to a crisp. Won't be going back anytime soon. Disgusted.

Popped in and asked if there was a table free for an impromptu drink and the staff were lovely- polite and friendly - they were able to accommodate us even though we had no booking and the service and drink were all excellent!! Thank you!!

I went for tea with a couple of colleagues after work. The place was quite empty. We ordered our food and it took over half an hour to arrive. Steak was unevenly cooked and my signature burger was seconds away from being barbecue charcoal. Presentation wasn't great and the 20 or so fries looked lost on my plate. I struggled to cut the burger with the knife supplied. I'm usually happy with the food here but on this occasion they let themselves down. I will think twice next time. On a positive note the staff were friendly as usual.

Visited the Bromborough on Sunday. The staff were all really helpful and the meals tasted great with good size portions. Would recommend to anyone.

What a place we are there now and it’s buzzing. Why, excellent pub food at great pricing. Every time we visit family at the Wirral we always eat there almost every night. It’s a must visit.

4 years since last visit - still brilliant value for money - even on Sunday 2 main courses for only £9.45! Comfortable warm pub serving good pub food - excellent service with friendly staff.

Excellent salad bar,and great vegan options, however found the cute animal pictures and signage highly offensive - a total disconnect from the grim reality that those cute animals suffer extremely for your tender slow cooked ribs

What a fabulous Christmas dinner my family had the most amazing time. Food was hot fresh an well worth £35.00 for 3 courses. The staff at the brombrough are a fabulous bunch everyone are professional friendly an hard-working. Such a great place to meet socially.. great mixture of people new olde young an regulars all welcome. Fab

First time here. Attractive and clean. Staff busy but friendly and helpful. Menu quite extensive and inexpensive. Lasagna and steak and ale pie and chips very good, burger not so nice but all in all impressed.

Had a lovely time ,kids had a ball, while kids are getting entertained, we had a meal loving new menu, food was lovely ,worth a visit

We have visited about 8 times and we are very impressed with the staff, all happy and friendly. Obviously a good team with an excellent manager. Food was lovely, never late, dry or burnt as other pubs we have visited. We are very happy and I hope all stays the same. Highly recommend.

We went here a few times for beers and once to eat. It didn't set the world on fire but was decent pub grub. As with a lot the pubs around they need more staff on.

We were visiting our friends and we had visited this pub before.This is our second visit and wasn’t disappointed in what I had ordered - Lasagna/ salad with garlic bread.Couldn’t fault what I had ordered and enjoyed what I had. Probably will visit this again and again.Staff were friendly and helpful.Toilets were kept reasonably clean.

I visit with my client every Thursday afternoon and this is a great place to choose for food & drink. It has multi screens to keep up to date with news/sport also offering kids tv, pool tables etc. It has a big outside area with children’s equipment and plenty of spaces to sit. The staff are lovely and attentive even during busy periods.

Very tasty. Friendly staff. I take my children there quite regularly and they live the food and the play area in the large garden to the rear. I would definitely recommend this place.

In the area, popped in with two friends for Sunday lunch. 12:30 and the place still had plenty of tables. Nice friendly service and decent beer, so found a table next to the window. Ordered three beef Sunday lunches, didn't really expect much for the price (2 for £9.49). Beef was OK, Yorkshire pudding was........well I'm from Yorkshire!!!!! cold broccoli, peas and Smash!!!!! Shouldn't expect much for the price but Smash....enough said.

Visited with family and friends, food was terrible, full of screaming kids running round, toilets were a disgrace and locals get served before you. Won't be returning.

Been here on many occasions with family and friends, the food is a amazing quality with loads of choice ale is spot on and the staff are really nice and fun cant praise this place enough would recommend to everyone

Visited with my wife and 2 kids, decent size menu with plenty of choice and brilliant value for money, great service up at the bar and to at our table by the waitress all four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals which where served nice and quickly too considering it was quite busy. would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back. Regularly visit the Bromborough. Staff are always friendly and pleasant, drinks are good and reasonably priced. The food is good, always comes out of the kitchen piping, and you'll see change from a tenner from pretty much all the meals (I think). Good offers for adding a drink to a burger meal for a quid as well.

Since moving to the area this has become a bit of a local for me ( which is a 1st!) Nice clean pub ,play area outdoors for kids decent food menu or bar snacks. Staff are so friendly nice to have a bit of banter with. All round great place

We popped in for a lunchtime snack and found that the food was very nice indeed, it was reasonably priced, fresh and well cooked. The beer was reasonably price and served with a smile, I would recommend a pub lunch here.

This is the second time in two months that we have had poorly cooked food ( microwaved) from this pub,the chicken is either off the menu or is microwaved till it's outer shell is hard. Not going back soon.

Originally booked a table for 10 at the Royal Oak round the corner but they had issues in the kitchen so we got turned away. Came here unexpected 10 guests staff were very pleasant, the menu was very affordable and great quality for the price. We had a brilliant time for such short notice.

We always have a good time and meal here when we meet our relations. Food is decent and well priced, the beer is served well and quickly. Also the atmosphere is quite good, everybody seems to know everybody else.

Attended with boyfriend's family. Looked for something healthy options as following a healthy eating plan. 1 meal under 600 calories a salad (not very original) and a healthyish vegan curry. Green king really need to look into a more balanced menu. Very disappointed with the lack of choice healthier options.

Food was average as you would expect from a ping meal, food was served quickly, although the table was sticky and my plate had a chip in it (not the edible kind!) However we had a problem with the drinks, our daughter who is 16 we let have a glass of wine with a meal at home or when we are out, the manager (lady) first said its illegal, so I had to explain its not illegal when having a meal and the 16yr old is not purchasing the drink themselves, she turned and said well we don't do it here as the police don't like it? I asked for an explanation but it wasn't forth coming, then she said we don't serve dinks to under 18's here! I gave up talking to her is she really wasn't sure what to say!

I love visiting The Bromborough. Staff always great and the food is fantastic. The pub is ran well and the locals love it. Most popular pub in the area and worth a visit whether with family, friends or as a couple. Thanks

Chose this pub for Sunday lunch having read decent reviews. The bar and waiting staff were lovely but I don't know what was going on in the kitchen. Our sharing platter only had 5 of the 8 advertised items and the chicken pieces were overlooked and dry. As an aside, Greene King should think again about this dish - not easy to share burnt ends in bbq sauce with your fingers!). When we mentioned the missing items they did bring 2 further items with our mains - which took an hour to arrive, despite the pub being very quiet. There was not enough beef roasts left (on a quiet Sunday at only 1.30) and the only vegetables on the roast were peas and 'cauliflower cheese' which seemed to be boiled cauliflower with some cream poured over it as an afterthought with a bit of grated cheese. My roast potatoes were frozen in the middle so I had to watch my companions eat while they got me a cooked dinner. The Yorkshire pub was soggy too! It was the worst meal I’ve had out for ages and although the prices are very reasonable I have had much better meals at this price in other pubs.

I've been to this pub many times for both food and drinks, the place is always clean and well maintained, the staff are always friendly, the food is consistently nice, typical pub grub, don't expect Michelin star but it's got everything you want from a pub, it's even got a safe play area in the beer garden for small children.

all good apart from music too loud during the day. staff are very friendly and efficient. prices of some drinks gone up well above inflation so will be visiting less from now on

Good value on the meals, 2 for £8.95 if I remember correctly. Food is standard pub stodge which is clear from the menu. The menu could be a bit less fussy but service was excellent and the place was clean although very dated. Recommended if you are in the area but not worth going out of your way for.

After a disappointing visit to the Spice Garden the night before thought we'd try this place for a steak.

this is my 3rd visit to this pub go with my three friends one off them lives in bromborough and introduce us to the Monday afternoons entertainment.iv seen patsy cline,vera lynn and frank sinartra. I must say wot fab afternoons weve had for £8 a ticket you get a lovely meal and pudding,staff are really friendly and food is always nice and hot.outside area is lovely with climbing frame for the children.carnt wait to go again for elvis great afternoon and lovely staff.

Went to the Bromborough on the way back to Liverpool from north Wales and decided to stop an have a meal the welcome as soon as we come in was brilliant and the food and service was even better I had never been in this pub before and when ever I go back to north wales I will be popping in with my friends it was such a lovely experience to be made so welcome I would recommend this pub to any one the experience was that good.

My first ever visit here, service was excellent from a very cheary and friendly young lady, ordered our food and it came out Hot, well presented and very tasty prices very good and well worth it, will be going again, would recommend this place highly for service and quality of food plus atmosphere. Well done to all the staff your manager should be proud of you. :)

We went for a meal yesterday evening and both enjoyed our food. I had the all day breakfast (my first choice of lasagne wasn't available) and my husband had the cod and chips. The meals were good and excellent value at two for £8.99. The staff were friendly and the pub was clean. We will go again even though it is a half hour walk (passing a couple of other inferior pubs).

I have just visited Green Kings Bromborough pub, in Bromborough Village on the Wirral for a family meal. The whole experience here was simply excellent ! Good well priced food with ample variety. Prompt service and the STAFF !! What a cracking bunch of ladies, they could not do enough for us and made us feel extremely welcome the whole time. Something I find rare in todays hospitality business, where profit seems to be King. One member of staff in particular stood out during our meal, a lovely very pleasant young lady called JESS. Who took brilliant care of us. I also saw her happily help a disabled man in a wheel chair and his family go up to the next level in the pub using a temporary ramp that she fitted over the stairs to the upper level, then removing the ramp again when the man in the wheelchair and his family where safely at their table. Its really nice to see people like JESS going that bit further to help their customers.I cannot praise this pub and its wonderful staff enough. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The first time we went we were impressed with the cleanliness,we sat at a table and it wasn't sticky or grubby,the cutlery was spotless too,being one of the first in as it opened there wasn't even that old cooked food smell from the evening before,we ordered an all day breakfast and it was perfect EVEN our mushrooms were hot !! We have been many occasions and at different meal times and it's still spotless and every meal great,the staff are great too,lovely relaxing atmosphere

Today we went here for lunch but decided against it after we ordered our drinks 1 glass of coke and 1 mug of tea the coke was served straight away but as for the tea well it was only served after we had asked twice were it was after waiting almost 15 minutes we cancelled it to then have it brought to the table with not even an apology.as we sat waiting the bar girl chat and serving the regular costumers it's not like the pub was full probably only 10 people if you include us and the bar person.this is not the sort of service i expected from an almost empty pub won't be returning

Got a steak in here and well it was covered in fat I could only manage to save a third of the meat. Waste of money. Would not recommend friends meal wasnt to take either.

We have used this pub many times in the past and had good service, unfortunately the manager let us down on our last visit by being extremely rude to customers and being unprofessional. This must have affected her staff as the service and food were no more than passable, won't be going again!

Got the steak. Was terrible full of fat and not cooked at all. Friend had mixed grill and left over half. Make better at home and cheaper. They need a new chef

I went here with my husband today and had the seniors lunch at £8.49 for two for two courses. I have been here once before a few months ago and it was very good then and it was very good today. The place was busy so there was a bit of a wait for drinks and food but the person made sure we knew we hadnt been forgotten. My Americano was fine and my husbands tea was a decent sized pot with one and a half big cups. The food was, as before, excellent. The portions were not huge but were perfectly adequate and the treacle pudding and custard was to die for, The whole pub was very friendly, the way only a true "local" can be and everyone was clearly having a good time. Our waitress went to great pains to ensure that we were happy and we sat afterwards to chat which you cannot do in every pub restaurant. Well done the Bromborough, you are doing a great job, keep up the good work!

The Brombrough pub had very simple food and the bar staff are friendly and the prices aren't scary and the food as I said is simple and the nicest in Bromborough! I have visited there on many occasions and all of them are un beatable!

Thought I would treat my wife to a Sunday roast today, the meal was dreadful, what looked like packet beef, also frozen roasties, frozen peas, and it was lucky if I had the equivalent of 3 tablespoons of gravy, to top it off there was no mint sauce or hoarse radish sauce, mash was horrible too" all in all a terrible experience, never again!!!

Today we stopped here for lunch with our nan the pub is in the process of a refitting but this didn't really effect our visit. We ordered our food which was reasonably priced and arrived hot after about 20 minutes. It was well presented but I was disappointed that the burger I ordered came with only 2 slices of bacon and not 4 as advertised also the coleslaw was missing and the chips were so overlooked it was impossible to eat them my mrs had a chicken burger and enjoyed it but also the chips were overlooked and my mans sausage and mash was drowned in gray apart from that it was ok for a branded pub

This is not the first time i have been here but my first review of The Bromborough. The pub is welcoming with modern decor and the staff are polite and attentive. In the closed off private large beer garden is a climbing frame with a slide for the children which my two year old loves and is playing on whilst i write this review. The food is well presented and good value.

We regularly pop in to the Brom for a drink & meal. The food is well presented & good value for money. The staff are all very friendly & helpful.

When I visited, the team were amazing. The lady who served us was top notch. Nothing was too much trouble for her. At every opportunity she made sure we were happy and had everything we needed.

The best thing about the Brom is the banter with the lads the food is the best thing about it after that but good for a great meal

The Bartender is absolutely lovely, could not fault this bar. All well mannered, talkative and just lovely people. I would honestly come again. Would recommend this pub to anyone.

Went here last night with o/h. Food served until 9pm. Ordered approx 8.45. Meals came out approx 9pm. Steak was tough as old boots. Mushrooms so tiny you could hardly see them. Went up to order 2 puddings at approx 9.30pm. Waitress looked towards kitchen and said sorry, too late. Apparently there was no kitchen staff in there to make them! If I order a meal before the deadline and want a pudding afterwards and it's "to late" then I would expect to be asked at time of ordering, would you like to order a pudding now! Wouldn't go there again.

We went for an evening meal this week and sat outside in the sun for a while first. We decided to go inside to eat and ordered two meals for £8.49. They were both nice. I had the all day breakfast and my husband had the curry.The staff are very friendly and we will be happy to go here again.

We have ate here on a few occasions and have always had a nice meal.but since its become a hungry horse pub,its really gone down the nick.food was overcooked to the point ( my chicken breast ) was chewy and hard,as well as burnt on the bottom.steaks and burgers all chosen by my family were all very overcooked.the kids pizza were the only things not overcooked,they were doughy and undercooked.staff were friendly but overworked.will definitely not be visiting this pub again in a hurry.

This was my first visit here after having it recommended for a good pub lunch!! It was very busy during our visit with 2 tables of approx 15 people ordering the same time as us. We were told there would be a 20minute wait on food however to be fair the majority of places take that long as standard!! There is a good varied menu and We didn't wait any longer than 20 minutes for our food. When it came out it was hot, fresh, good portion sizes and well presented!! We each had a different meal and everyone enjoyed their food!! Service throughout was good and the waitress apologised for the wait for our meals (which really wasn't a problem or a long wait.) Very reasonable prices for drinks and food!! Will definitely return again for a cheap and cheerful lunch!!

Has a great atmosphere for small and large groups. Family friendly with out door play area. Sometimes with bouncy castle in holidays.

We attended as a party of 12 in December for a family birthday. Its been a long while since I've eaten here and its clear to see the dining area has had a refurb. I'm sure it was lovely when it was new, but to be honest it looked tired and shabby - cracks in the walls, scuffs up the paintwork, broken lamps/shades, stained carpets, smoking area had broken heaters, fag ends & glass all over the floor & spindles missing from the surrounding fence, light bulbs out everywhere.....just no care taken to keep the place nice or fresh for guests. When the guest area isn't a comfortable, relaxing place to sit and enjoy your meal, why would you want to be there? Plus, it makes you wonder what you cant see in the back/kitchen!The drinks were fine and reasonably priced. Mistakes made by bar tender who was clearly new but that's okay, everyone has to learn! Despite being December when we visited, it wasn't a busy lunch and the roast was nice. The steak also looked lovely and I'm sorry I didn't order it. Deserts were equally nice. Starters.....battered prawns (scampi) in a prawn cocktail....that's a new one on me! Still, those who had it didn't make a fuss and everyone seemed relatively pleased when we left. The waitresses were extremely pleasant and helpful.On the whole it was adequate but nothing spectacular. Sadly, adequate doesn't make me want to go back and it'll probably be an equally long time until I return again in the future.

Came here for a meal with family....I had Sausages & mash, my mash was all hard, v lumpy & I had the smallest serving in the world !! However, the pub is lovely, staff lovely too....but, when they were bringing the other meals out, we had to keep asking for the Steak sauces to be brought out.....By which time, some of us had got half way through their meals........I was going to give a 2 but because the staff were so lovely, have given a 3........Have had some lovely meals here so don't know what went wrong........

Visited the bromborough after being recommended by friends,and glad they did! Varied selection of beverages and menu,And very friendly and attentive staff,certainly come again!

The service in this hole was absolutely dire, the staff were rude and obnoxious, we waited 45 mins for our "food" and when it did arrive it was cold and disgusting, you wouldn't feed to the dog, when we complained all the locals abused us and got aggressive...they were like something from the Jeremy Kyle show. Highly recommended if you want crap food and a fight

Cheap drink and food and a massive beer garden with play area. Great place for kids plenty of space inside and out. Friendly staff that make you feel welcome. Would recommend the place for a cheap lunch or tea.

Visited mid week for lunch when it was almost empty. Reasonable decor and typical pub menu with a standard range of big brewery beers - no guest ales. I had a baguette and some chips which were nicely presented, tasted good and were excellent value for money. Service was quick (but it was empty!) and pleasant enough. Almost gave it a 4 rating but would want to try again for something more substantial.

I have been here before and it was just fine but today the waiting time for starter was 40minutes and had main course after 20minutes wait again the total time of our meal was 1hour and 10 minutes when asked when the meal would be coming we were told that the delay was because the fish was being cooked fresh. When we we got our meal it was not fresh the fish was over cooked and the chips were hard the vegetables on one meal was roasted parsnip which was rock hard and could not be cut the only saving grace of the whole meal was the apple pie it was very disappointing and we will not be coming again
