Embarrassing!! So bad!! Customer service was atrocious, will never return! My friend was told to leave because he did not support Brighton Albion football club just because the bartenders supported the club! Honestly laughable and embarrassing😂

I mean I don't expect the Ritz in JD's I have to admit, the drinks are cheap and the food is questionable. But not a bad place, lively as usual. No tables cleaned though, cardboard Pizza was just wow!!! 🥺😱

Fui aquí esta mañana. Pedimos a 2 miembros del personal para despejar nuestra mesa, pero nada. Nuestras bebidas nunca llegaron. El desayuno estaba frío cuando finalmente llegó. Estaba muy ocupado, así que no quería quejarme delante de todos, así que fuimos al bar después y le contamos al joven miembro del personal MUY arrogante nuestro problema. Ella nos reembolsó nuestras bebidas que no teníamos y nos dijo básicamente que estaban ocupados y que deberíamos haber enviado nuestra comida de vuelta, que es algo que nunca haría, ya que no sabes lo que realmente se hace con ella antes de salir de nuevo. Sólo quiero decir lo grosera y arrogante que era la chica detrás del mostrador cuando nos quejamos. Absolutamente No hay habilidades de la gente. Asqueroso lugar

Not the biggest spoons out there even with upstairs seating..but the food was good with the usual good selection of drinks..there is a multi storie car park at the rear of it which helps..cost us 5 quid for 2hrs..this spoons is only a 5 minute walk from Brighton front

It's a Wetherspoon, but a nice one.

It's not dark like most other spoons, clean, good drinks, friendly staff

This spoons isn't as big as I thought it would be. It's on 2 levels, and there's quite a bit of seating. There's the normal great spoons menu with something for everyone. Easy to order on the app and our food and drinks came out fairly quickly considering how busy it was. The food was hot and well cooked.

nice place, got some judgy looks from customers when looking for the bathroom but nothing you can do about that, bartender was absolutely lovely

Short wait for food, but was extremely busy! Drinks were good value for money. Had the cheese garlic bread, a bit poor, burnt and not really much cheese

Parada rápida mientras visita la zona. Tranquilo Sat am, amable bienvenida y servicio. Bastante limpio. Baños limpios y ordenados, lo que es raro para las cucharas.

La comida era muy agradable, lástima que fue estropeado por el personal del var! ¡Tirando botellas a un contenedor de botellas justo a nuestro lado! No me dio 2 sh . . es que nos hizo saltar y fue altamente inapropiado! Cuando dije que algo le hizo gracia al gerente. ¡Y el que los lanza! No volveré.

Tratamos de tomar una copa aquí en la tarde temprano un sábado, mientras esperábamos un concierto para comenzar a la vuelta de la esquina en el Centro de Conferencias. Estaba muy ocupado. Cuando finalmente nos atendieron en el bar de abajo, nos dijeron que necesitábamos un número de mesa para hacer un pedido; no había ninguno libre ni abajo ni arriba, así que nos fuimos. El lugar parecía como si un cargamento de pensionistas hubiera descendido sobre él; ruidoso, lleno de gente. No me molestaría en ir de nuevo.

I had breakfast on a Tuesday morning, around 11am, I ordered a veggie sausage and egg muffin and an apple juice. Everytime I’ve ordered an apple juice I request a straw but every spoons I’ve been to never gives me a straw. This spoons gave me a straw and I’ve never been happier. Table was a bit sticky but I survived it Food was cheap and good.

Chips and mushy peas were warm to cold, they needed to be eaten quickly. It was a bit noisy because of the young locals. Staff nice and Friendly and professional. I will still pop in if I need something to eat while I am staying in the area.

Very good place. Went there for a night out and it was great. Drinks were made well and staff were lovely.

Standard spoons but the staff were above average!

Prices are decent but portions are a bit smaller than they should. Thing is, you are gonna pay more for the same in other places, so...

Avoid! Rude waitress brought our drinks over ordered from the app, asked for our IDs (we are in our 40s), we didn't have them so the drinks got taken away, no refund or apology. Awful service

Marido y yo pedimos envolturas de pollo. Ambos estaban fríos como piedras. Absolutamente no hay calor en ninguno de los platos. Enviado de vuelta y dijo feliz de esperar por comida caliente. 30 minutos después comprobamos dónde estaba nuestra comida. Nos dijeron que la orden no había pasado a pesar de que habían dicho que el chef iba a cocinarla fresca. De todas formas, en resumen, la larga historia tardó 55 minutos en conseguir nuestra comida y apareció fría por segunda vez. Teníamos entradas para el centro de Brighton, así que comimos la comida de mierda y nos fuimos. El personal salió corriendo. No estaba muy ocupado, pero no parecía tener mucho personal. El chico que nos sirvió fue disculpado. No nos desquitamos con él pero estábamos bastante cabreados. 😠

Decent pub & grub for the price

Just popped in for a break after shopping. Nice pub great atmosphere

Very busy, popular pub. Great place to meet up with mates. Food excellent as nearly always with Wetherspoons. Toilets clean and modern (bit of a sticky floor in the gents, needed a good scrub with the m ob and decent floor cleaner) Friday and Saturday night visits, but no security issues staff and security in control. Reassuring. Service via app very quick and efficient.

The breakfast looked like it had been cooked days ago and kept warm under the lights. The eggs were like rubber difficult to cut and completely inedible. When I was asked if everything was OK I mentioned the eggs hoping to get fresh replacements, instead she explained it was because "the fryer is broke" and offered me a refund for the eggs which I declined. What kind of fryer are they using to cook eggs????

Typical Spoons, bland and soulless

Does anyone read these reviews, especially when it's a "spoons" and we all just call cos we've heard of em and there supposed to be cheap Anyway I called here twice in a few days Same layout atmosphere etc as every other wetherspoons and a good location from walking from train to Brighton front or visa versa Yeah Both times I called staff are not very good I used the app which we are always encouraged to download and use etc 1st visit I ordered a drink via app and it took 15/20 minutes to arrive The place was fairly busy but not heaving yeah fair enough However called again 2 days later ,the place was a 3rd full at best with plenty of staff knocking about And this time after a 15 minute wait I actually went to the bar to enquire about my pint thru the app order And it was just sat there at end of the bar and was told Yeah take it! I was with friends I ordered 4 times thru app and 3 out of 4 times it took over 13 minutes to arrive And on the last order it took 17 minutes and by this time it was fairly empty Also on last order I didn't receive a glass for my canned drinks Just got told use the old ones left on the table from other people Wetherspoons is usually cheap and does what it says on the tin This is not a cheap spoons I appreciate that a lot of staff mainly work there part time as a stepping stone or going thru university etc But here it appears the staff don't care ,or certainly don't care the few nights I visited Can't say I recommend this place I'm afraid

Absolutamente ultraja el trato por parte del "gerente" y su personal. No te escuchan cuando haces el pedido, luego entregan el pedido equivocado. Al interrogarte, ¡te mienten mucho y te hacen sentir como si fueras el mayor inconveniente del mundo! Todos ellos necesitan un poco de entrenamiento de atención al cliente, y tal vez, todos deberían cambiar de carrera! No trabajes con personas si no sabes cómo lidiar con ellas. Tuve mi llamada "cena" el 11. 11 . 24 alrededor de las 5 pm. ¡Ve a otro pub si quieres ser tratado respetuosamente!

Avoid at all cost!! Rude staff and management. Customer service is diabolic. Food was horrible cold so was the service. Overall poor, dont go there. Weatherspoons please do better!!

Gerente muy grosero el lunes 11 de noviembre alrededor de las 5 pm. Después de un largo día en un viaje de negocios mi colega y yo optamos por comer en este pub. Nos trataron terriblemente por todo el personal que encontramos. La comida fue entregada rápidamente, pero no lo que realmente pedimos. Preguntamos si se podía rectificar, pero dijimos que no, y luego pedimos hablar con el gerente, que fue extremadamente grosero y arrogante. Nunca he conocido una falta de respeto y un servicio al cliente tan asqueroso. Nunca volveremos. Evitar a toda costa.

Another pub full of Man City supporters. Loud & uncomfortable. Managed to find a table upstairs. Very very busy. Drinks again under £7.00 for a beer & wine. Didn't see any outside seating but there is a bar on both floors. Wouldn't rush back.

Lovely pub came here on Halloween, I had the small veggie brunch wrap which was great for a light bite to eat. Friendly swift service, staff made the effort with their costumes! Beautiful interior, fancy toilets! I loved it and I will be back.

Cuando un miembro del personal me sirvió mi primer trago del día, tomé media pinta de cerveza. Otro miembro del personal fue muy grosero conmigo porque un amigo mío puso sus manos sobre mis hombros y me hizo sacudir mi bebida, por lo tanto, derramarla. y este miembro del personal le dijo al gerente y dijo que tomé demasiadas bebidas y me prohibió tomar otra bebida ese día en ese pub. No voy a volver a este pub de nuevo y no lo recomiendo.

Wetherspoons are always good value and have a good atmosphere. But the food is usually disappointing. Apart from the sharing plates. It's good to go here for drinks and small plates but not to eat a proper meal sadly.

Got a pint of well-kept Old Rosie cider at less than half the price I had paid for the same in the Lanes.

Ignore the negative reviews. The staff were especially compassionate and helpful when it came to choosing what was our poison for the night, especially the chap with the bleach bond hair do! Nice guy. Sausage wrap was tasty.

Watched as 3 ladies were allowed into pub by 3 doorstaff, get served at bar with food and drinks then an officious jobs worth ask for then too produce proof of age and said it was faķe then kept it which is illegal and removed her, how did 4 others say yes, ruin the feel of pub completely

Great place to eat in Brighton.

It was worth the experience. I had a classic burger and a Coke. You have to read the menu well to know what to order, but it was delicious. Honestly, the place is nice. You choose the table number and go to order and your order is brought via the internet. The second time, I will check the menu. It is well worth a try

Excellent & fast service, good portions, friendly staff.

Wasn’t happy. Food was not nice, poor customer service. Table wasn’t clean, cutlery was not clean. Wouldn’t recommend.

Ordered Two fish and chips, When they arrived one meal was passable but the other meal was at best mediocre to the eye. All aspects to the meal were poor and not up to Wetherspoons normal standards at other locations but this may be the the standard at the Bright Helm.

Nice having a get together with friends for a leisurely lunch. Good value for money.

Fantastic service tonight, served by Alicia, very friendly and welcoming, knew exactly what drink I wanted too. Great service would come again, 10/10

It's a Wetherspoons, good location, great prices and unbelievably you didn't have to go on a 3 mile hike to the toilets.

It's a spoons, but it's absolutely filthy. Everything is sticky. The carpets, the chairs...

Bland overcooked fish. No mushy peas . Small portion

Arguementative waitress over our food order which we had to prove our receipt. After which she still was not happy she was wrong. Manners and respect cost nothing

Very busy. Quick, attentive and friendly service. CHEAP.

Awful customer service. Young blue haired waitress brought food with only a knife, after 10 mins and multiple requests for cutlery they brought a solitary fork over (with no napkin) by which point food was cold. Had to request for a napkin and wait another 5 mins for it to be brought, told him the food was now cold. Barman only offered to heat it up so I requested a free drink for the poor sevice & hassle to which he said that wasn't their policy (despite other wetherspoons frequently doing it) and only the manager could authorise it who was on break for 25 minutes! 10 mins later my reheated food arrives not even hot. After 2 bites it's cold again and I can't eat it. Wait another 10 minutes for the manager (who never arrives) before asking at the bar for a refund. Barman radios manager. After explaining to the arrogant young manager he refuses to refund my drink taking the full price off the food offering to refund only £2.25 of a meal that was over £8! I said no I want a full refund to which he says I drank the drink. I said of course I drank it Its been about 40 minutes and I've been waiting for you for 30 minutes!!! He says "there's no way I'm refunding the drink"! I said ok then I'll have a replacement pizza and I'll take this fork just in case the waitress forgets again! He put it through then gathered all the bar staff and started talking about me and all 3 went in to the kitchen (I dread to think what they did to my food). When the new pizza arrived after about 15 minutes I barely felt safe eating and only ate part of it. I really can't believe how poor the staff acted and how poor their customer service was. Won't be ordering food from there again and will stick to the North Wetherspoons

An awesome old school english pub.

The breakfast at 7:20am was shite, had to return because cold! The replacement was lacking, not a breakfast more a disaster. Photo shows a left sausage, yeah cos it was crap and looked undercooked, potential food poisoning!

It was good stopped there on my way to the pier.

we end up in the pub as it was pouring with rain 🤣and the rest of the group we're in there the staff were helpful and the food was good 👍only problem I had was going to the toilet down stairs as only having one good arm on right side I could get down with the rail ok 👍getting back up no rail on the the right coming up (no left hand) was a bit of a struggle getting up because of my disability nothing to hold on to come up the stairs other wise we had a good time did try to get a round of drinks at the table the lady was to bizzy as wasn't many staff members walking around as a big place to look after disabled lift was a good idea we couldt get all the wheel chairs and scooter up were we was sitting as it was blocking 🚫 some of the doors and some customers had trouble getting passed asked to have a shuffle around 😀

Conveniently located near the sea front, good value food and drinks, friendly staff. Spacious and bright, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

We went to Brighton for breakfast. We were one of the 1st customers to order at 8.30. ( opened half an hour late due to staff sickness). We had the cooked breakfast. I just had a small breakfast which had clearly been pre cooked. It wasnt even hot. The egg was like rubber, the beans were luke warm, the bacon was hard.my Husband had a larger breakfast. His mushrooms looked almost raw. We said to get breakfast so quick, there's no way it was just cooked. And it wasn't til after, my Husband realised he didn't even get any bacon. The only good thing was the tea and coffee, which we made ourselves. We were both ill within half an hour of eating it. Will never eat breakfast there again. At half 8 in the morning, we would expect a fresher cooked meal.

The group of 12 stayed for my sisters hen party. The hotel was an amazing addition to the weekend

The food was nice and was very busy, so service was behind not their fault as there weren't many staff either. Had run out of bread, so was offered a muffin instead.

Small but decent weatherspoons on the main strip between Brighton station and the sea front. Only ordered desserts and drinks but good service. Lots of security presence. Smaller than average with no garden but good enough to visit again

The tables were dirty. The plates and glasses are not removed after previous customers.

If you want to eat cardboard and drink dirt water with packets of oatmilk for dirt cheap breakfast- this place is for you. You’ll save £££ eating here rather than the trendy (actually good) breakfast options around The Lanes. Got the fiesta breakfast and the only thing semi tasty was the fresh tomatoes and the poached egg… Atmosphere crowded and homeless people bumping music, upstairs wasn’t open, doesn’t feel clean on the table or bar area…the husband likes to eat cheap so we tried it but won’t come back here. He thought it was great obviously cause it was only 6£ for breakfast. So the coffee comes out of the machine and the decaf option and black coffee option looks like it had milk. Even when I can’t have milk.

Staff were ok polite enough but the place is a dump you couldn’t move for plates, glasses and the tables were filthy dirty and sticky, unfortunately it was a rough place to be so won’t be going there again

It's a Spoons, what more can you say.

Good Wetherspoons pub, with an upstairs bar and seating. It's in a good location, with a decent selection of beers at relatively cheap prices. Only criticism is that, as far as I could tell it doesn't have an outside seating area, which isn't ideal on a hot and sunny day.
