The Bridge Cafe in Hastings

We visited for breakfast with a relative and his dog on a very wet and windy day. We were made extremely welcome from the outset. Service was friendly and swift. Food was very good and nice and hot! It is nice to go to a café where they care about the customer and don’t rush you to leave. We would definitely return.

The Bridge Cafe never disappoints- have been going here for years but haven't been for about 12 months and so glad we decided to go today, it is as good as ever, outstanding value, great quality food, generous portions and great service from Harry. The interior looks lovely too, think it has had a refurb. Highly recommended.

This is a quaint cafe so lovly right near to the beach and the breakfast is amazing very friendly good value for money too highly recommended 👌

My partner and I travelled from Eastbourne for this breakfast , we had a breakfast each , which had drink included , I'm pretty fussy with how I like things cooked but nothing was too much trouble , the food was absolutely delicious , great quality produce and coked as you like it , really nice and hot , Harry is lovely as are the ladies who work with him , to me this place is one of the best food places for breakfast in esst Sussex hands down , really good prices too , the bubble and squeak is just perfection ! This is our place to go when we want decent food in a lovely place nice atmosphere too , well worth a visit you would be mad not to ...once you've been youlle never go anywhere else !

Small but roomy, great breakfast and very reasonably priced. The #1 with Egg, Bacon, Sausage, Tomatoes and toast was £5. Cooked great and tasty too.

Had a take away brekkie & I know from previous experiences he gets busy! I called up & pre ordered which was not a problem, at all. He is courteous & professional. What I love about this place is that, he puts his heart & soul in to his cooking! Most importantly, his customers. Winner winner👌🏽

No covid19 precautions taken.No social distancing,no gaps between tables so you are literally 3 feet away from the person on the next table.No sign of any track and trace laws being followed.The member of staff cooking and serving food to tables not wearing a face covering. It's places like this that will cause another lockdown with their irresponsible attitude.

Great breakfast ,i have become quite the regular at harrys cafe(Bridge cafe) Always quite a happy relaxed atmosphere.

My partner and I went for breakfast this morning, my partner had a ‘Harry’s special’ breakfast which was a massive plate of food and well worth the money! I asked if it would be possible for pancakes (pregnancy cravings) even though they wasn’t on the menu.. Harry said this wasn’t a problem and they was amazing! Hopefully going to be a new addition to the menu from now on... who doesn’t love a pancake! Nothing seems to much for them and it’s such a lovely home warming atmosphere. We will definitely come in more often and would recommend to anyone.

Highly recommended for a super generous veggie breakfast. All perfectly cooked and nicely presented. A bright friendly no fuss place, with parking, perfect.

I am so impressed with Harry and the bridge cafe. The food was great. But Harry, what a MAN!!!!. I've never been so inspired. He is a man among men and I would love a poster of him for my bedroom. Mmmmmm, I can only dream. Love you chap!! Dwain. You made feal so wanted.

Ordered a £10 breakfast to find a long hair in the tomatoes, beans overcooked to mush, eggs black and crispy on bottom, 4 slices of black pudding cooked one side so mushy on the other and sausages cut in half. I asked why would you cut sausages up? He replied to make sure they are cooked properly. So he admits he can't even cook a sausage properly. What a joke, a complete mess he should cut all the food in half and throw it in the bin and close business. Typical establishment, happy to take your money but not happy to care about your food or when you complain.

Very yummy food, presentation was 10/10 highly recommend! Defiantly will be returning. Sausages were very yummy, very friendly staff, open on sundays 😊 grilled tomatoes available. Very much worth the money and didn’t wait very long to be fed.

Everything was cooked to perfection. If it wasn't for the Portaloo on the front patio it would be perfect in every way. I can see they simply have no other place to put it!

Probably the best breakfast I have had in the town. Great choice, freshly cooked and all good, tasty ingredients. Service very friendly. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent little cafe... food always cooked to order take away or eat in perfect. Owner Harry always friendly Bacon and egg baguette with lots of bacon two eggs no grease under 4 quid to take away perfect to take to beach.....Thanks Harry Go and enjoy

A brisk march down St Leonards charismatic seafront brings you to the wonderfully quirky Bridge cafe, tucked away behind the beach huts , although you can access from Bexhill road. Watch the chef in his straw trilby and apron cook your eggs perfectly on a griddle behind the counter. Good chips, homemade bubble n squeak, mushrooms ligule sautéed, no grease - and even a passable cappuccino. What more does a girl need? All great value, nice staff, wi-fi.... Rock salt and black pepper grinder! this really is much more than your average caff
