Excelente cerveza y un gran personal en forma de Deanna que realmente conoce sus cervezas y era tan acogedor. Sin duda volveremos por más en un futuro próximo.

We came here because it had a good rating & I love Sri Lankan food. It was difficultto find we searched for quite a while. But the Lankan is in the Bar called the Brick (who knew?) we had a lovely welcome from the really smiley & attentive bar lady. (Who I accidentally gave more notes for a tip then I intended because they were stuck together but she came over and gave me one back. It’s lovely to see honesty.) The food was amazing if I could give it a 6star I would. Highly recommended,a must go. It’s fairly quiet Tuesday night top tip if your like us & avoid the hustle & bustle. Busier at weekends apparently. Love love love this place might come back just for the mutton rolls.

We visited a couple of times during a short stay in Brighton. The first visit in midweek it was very quiet, but when we returned on a Friday night we pleased to see it packed. It’s a welcoming bar with a friendly, knowledgeable manager that serves a great range of beers. If you’re looking for good beer from around the UK and Europe, some of which you’re unlikely to find anywhere else, is highly recommend The Brick.

An attractive looking bar both in and outside. Brightly lit and airy. Clean washrooms. Great and I mean great selection of beers. Nice ambient music, comfortable seating and furnishings. The staff though functional rather than welcoming, hospitable and interactive. More interested in their mobile phones than contributing to the ambiance (and increasing revenue). Manager/owner should monitor this if wishing to remain in business.

Great selection of German and Czech beers and a couple of cask ales plus cider. We'll worth your time but be aware this is a pub / bar that serves food. It's not a restaurant and I'm not sure why it's listed as one

Good choice of beers but the food is even better. Maybe undersold the good was fantastic. Wish I'd known about the kitchen before. So many good dishes I'd say try them all.

Upon walking in, the waitress was incredibly kind and served us so nicely. When the food was ready, there wasn’t any napkins or knifes and forks as we were getting a takeout. We then asked the other waitress if we could please get napkins and knifes and forks. By this point she was talking with her friends and had been from The time we walked in. She then gave us a cold look and seemed really annoyed that we asked her something while she was talking with her friends. She then replied and said ‘ we just got chopsticks ‘ . The food portions are incredibly small and the taste was quite bland. For a restaurant it seemed a little weird that they only had chopsticks as we don’t know How to eat with chopsticks and I’m sure not everyone does either so we struggled to eat our food. Will not be going back.

I was visiting Brighton with some close friends and my partner this past weekend, and was told to check out Bruha in Brighton so I knew I had to book it because where there is food from the homeland - I will go! What I didn't expect was how I felt during and after the meal. The minute you walk into Bruha; you get a sense of pride straight away and there were details that I picked up on that made me really think of Philippines. Then the food arrived...and I pretty much spent the entire meal listening to my fiance and my friends (all non-filipino) making sounds and singing praise for the food that Jay had prepared. Everything was perfect, not one dish faltered - (I had the chicken adobo and I was just in love from the first bite!). One of my favourite parts of the night was when my fiance ordered the Ube Leche Flan - I was too full and our friends had decided on drinks rather than dessert. But once the plate came out; a dessert for one became a dessert for three as our friends couldn't get over how delicious it was! The service was amazing from beginning to end, Tania (I think that was her name?) was very hospitable and Jay was really lovely to talk to. Having read about his story before we visited, I could see the pride that he takes in his business and the heart that he puts into his dishes. When we left the restaurant, I had a huge sense of Filipino pride in my heart and in my belly. We were still talking about the food the next day, and taking three non-filipino's to the restaurant who couldn't stop raving about the experience was amazing. This trip to Bruha really made me proud to be Half Filipino and I hope it continues to go from strength to strength. Salamat Po Jay! 🇵🇭
