I am a big fan of food. I’m also a big fan of Thai Northern style food. What Bookie has done with Namo is cook a new and unusual flavour of Thai food which you cannot find in anywhere else in Brighton. She’s connected health with culture and made the combination delicious.As important, I am encouraging all of us to visit and consume this food and share with communities we love.

This has to be the best Thai food I've tasted even including restaurants I've visited in Thailand. The service was excellent and the food not only tasted great but was also good value for money. Highly recommended.

Really disappointing. I love Thai and was attracted ro this place by all the good reviews. The salad was ok, fresh, but lacked of any kind of seasoning . However, my main was terrible. Just a big bowl of overcooked rice and a few chunks of dry tofu. No taste whatsoever or effort put in it. The person in the kitchen cannot cook. There are much better Thai food places around in town.

Excellent food for a pub. Tasty, reasonably priced. We went on a Sat night so you can wait for up to an hour from ordering but our food took 30 mins to arrive.

Popped in for some take away. Was surprised to find the restaurant within the pub. The food was tasty and served piping hot. Ordered the pad Thai and ended up sticking around for a Guinness.

Place with a good atmosphere, however don't even think about ordering the Krapao Bolan if you don't really want to fly, my friend and I looked like two dragons breathing fire.

Surprisingly authentic Thai food, didn’t back down about the spiciness and I appreciate it. The only down side is the floor is pretty sticky and need a bit more work for cleaning.

Best curry I have had in Brighton! Went on a solo date to try these lovely food everyone has been recommending for the last few months, and it really lived up to my expectations. Genuinely really good food and not pretentious, which I struggle to find in brighton these days. I’ll definitely be back soon!

The chicken wings were okay, one of the two fried noodles was too bland and had only the smell of spices, and the other was too sweet.

Some of the best Kao Soi I've had outside of Thailand. Spicy, coconut creamy, and they made half of the noodles crunchy as well. We also ordered the Roti Satay and Satay Chicken. Both were excellent! Sadly, no photos. We were too hungry.

We've had a delivery a couple of times from Namo now & I can't recommend them highly enough. Really delicious. The mango salad was simply superb. In fact I'm making myself hungry typing this. Quality, authentic Thai food as it should be. A+++ Now they are at The Eagle in Brightons's North Laine and the food is AMAZING !

Visited Namo Eat in the Eagle pub during half-term. Once my 8 y/o saw the food coming out of the kitchen she wanted to try it! A combination of communication with Eagle staff and the Thai kitchen meant the food was spiced correctly for my kids younger pallets. Still spicy but manageable for them without losing the great flavours. Kids meal that worked for us: Mee Pad, a simple but tasty noodle dish. Prawn dumplings. Both real tasty. My food was real spicy! Loved it. Great service from both pub & kitchen.

Really lovely food, the gang masaman was a bit different from what I've had before, quite a lot of potatoes, but it was very flavorful

I badly wanted to give them 5 ⭐️ because of the amazing food but I need to consider other factors as well. Our food arrived in batches, after more than 40 minutes of waiting. The pub was not busy that time. Although there might be a lot of delivery orders coming in. The taste, for me, sort of made up for that though. I think Namo would succeed as a stand-alone restaurant instead of sharing space with a pub. Despite our food arriving late, the Namo staff were very attentive. I would consider ordering from Namp next time until they have their own restaurant.

Really tasty fresh cooked Thai food with authentic flavours. Served in a pub in Brighton (the Eagle). I the fried pork belly with a red curry sauce that was really delicious. (The slaw is SPICY!) and my boyfriend had chicken noodle curry dish which he thoroughly enjoyed (and he knows his Thai food!) Highly recommended!

Really delicious! Great good, the prawn dumplings were the best, and really reminded me of Thailand. The pork belly isn’t quite as I’d expected but still yum, and the green curry could have done with a bit more flavour and depth. It looked beautiful and tasted great though, thanks so much!

Nice Thai restaurant located in a cool pub. The staffs are friendly but serving is a bit slow Food was delicious, pork mince is my favourite. Coconut curry with chicken and noodles are also nice, with a spicy kick in the end. Udon is yummy too and not spicy. Everything together plus two drinks cost me £40, it is okay. Would recommend a visit if you’re in Brighton.

Very spicy food chicken curry was padded out with chicken sized potato chunks & drinks were not cheap . Probably an acceptable price for Brighton but not good value really

When you are looking for authentic Thai dishes, this is the place for it. Cozy place. Service 👍👍 Laksa is the best!! So rich and creamy. Crispy wings and especially the sauce, mouthwatering!! I had the Kaoklook krapao goong, not fond of spicy food but man, it is so satisfyingly good. Definitely will come back.

One of the worst dishes of pad thai I've ever eaten. Congealed noodles, overcooked prawns and in no way authentic tasting. The bang bang cauliflower was ok, but certainly not stand out. Would not eat there again.

I've spent years looking and this is the closest thing you'll find to authentic-tasting Thai food outside of Thailand. My only problem is the Thai basil pork had a single basil leaf in. So while it tasted very nice it wasn't Thai basil pork, so still looking for that one.

It’s a bit hard to find out the place since they are inside a bar but the food is really good especially the mango salad

a hidden gem! If you just came from the station and want to eat your fill, just come here. it costs £8.50 a big portion and tastes great. I came for lunch and was given a special lunch menu which was printed on a different paper, not sure if that menu exists for a whole day tho

Returned to Namo for our work Christmas Do! All 9 of us thought the food was amazing- and the service fantastic. Really great choice for vegetarian colleague and totally authentic Thai menu. Great lunchtime prices as well. Our team enjoyed it so much that some of us had lunch and dinner care of Namo eat!! Thank you Bookie and team.

Fantastic to be able to enjoy Namoeat food again, having loved getting Home Delivery from them during lockdown. Finally got to The Eagle to be able to eat fresh from the kitchen and what a brilliant pub and brilliant food! This will be our go-to pre theatre eating place from now on. Who would queue for hours outside another oriental food place, when you can get food of this quality and enjoy a great pub environment with excellent service just round the corner.

Nice food, when it arrives. Waited almost an hour and a half for our order. Four tables served before ours who'd ordered well after us. I think the order was not submitted correctly or genuinely forgotten. I saw the barmaid re-enter the order then photograph the receipt which was a little bizarre. No apology or reason given, would have been fine if they were honest. I think this is one problem with ordering by the bar as no individual has a duty of care for the order. The excuse was they were really busy. Not too busy to serve the four other tables though. They must be in complete shambles on a weekend as this was a Tuesday night. As for the food, onion fritters were nice but cold, chicken satay nice but cold, bang bang cauliflower not nice (not sure what the bang bang bit is, it's just panko fried cauliflower), but hot, red curry really nice, and hot, coconut rice nice, and hot.

Me and my mrs and my in law went for dinner around a month ago and I have to say this is easily the best Thai food I have had in the south cost of England. Me and my partner traveled Thailand for 2 months and I can safely say the food was on par or better than most of the places we ate at. It’s a fun hip environment if you want good food and some drinks after and the owner is a star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There is a reason this place has 5*. Slightly off the beaten track (opposite Basketmakers) and all the better for it. Lovely, friendly reception from lady at bar. Eat in or on tables outside weather permitting. We ate and drank here on the 11.8.21.Great selection of dishes with proper larger mains and appropriate sized "small plates". This is seriously good Thai food. Balanced dishes full of heat, zing and sweetness all washed down with some great drinks. Cannot comment when more busy (we ate at midday, mid week). We will be back!

Lovely service and food. Staff were nice and welcoming. Food tasted amazing. Only minor complaint is seating, we had to move seats because our original ones were way too uncomfortable. Would still recommend it

This took some finding but was worth the trek. Nice, fresh and tasty. The mussaman curry was blummin awesome and would travel there just for this. A nice meal was had by all.

Ok, so there are a fair few Thai restaurants in Brighton and some of them are really good, but this one, Namo Eat, is hands down and far and away the best by miles. Bookie's cooking is mouthwateringly divine, in fact I'm getting hungry just writing this and it's only 10am! The menu is well chosen, offering a selected number of authentic dishes which are mind-blowingly delicious. You can tell immediately that cooking is Bookie's passion and thank goodness she's on a mission to share this passion with us all. From the first bite to the last, be it starter, main or side dish, this is a culinary tour de force. Giles Coren would be reaching for his pen before he'd finished his first Kao Geab... I was going to list my favourite dishes here but looking back at the menu I'd pretty much have to transcribe the entire thing. Honestly, there's not a dish on there that doesn't tempt the tastebuds! If that weren't enough, Bookie set up Namo Eat during the first lockdown of 2020, keeping deliveries going from her home when the hospitality sector was forced to shut down, which is testament to her dedication, determination and spirit. She deserves success for that alone, but success is guaranteed because the food is so damn delicious! As she says, Kin Kao Gun! (Let's Eat!)

Amazing Thai food. Hidden gem. Hard to find due to Eagle Pub naming outside. One of the best I've ever tried. The place is hard to find, and we were surprised it was as empty as it was. Also we were suspicious of its perfect 5 star rating. But hoooooooly ****. We had lunch here, and we'll be ordering delivery tonight as well. Don't not miss the chance of trying it. Super nice they use locally source free range meat. This is so hard to find and appreciated it. The pork belly was awesome and the chicken as well.

What a super hidden gem. Super confusing to find, as its called The Eagle and not Namo, and its more of a pub than a restaurant. The food was so amazing though, will definitely be coming back here.

I'm so gutted that I came here shortly before leaving Brighton permanently, because the food was to die for! The pub is situated in a lovely, peaceful location that makes for great outdoor dining spaces. The pub inside was very homey, but the Thai food, like the Pad Thai you can see in the picture, was just amazing. The staff were additionally really friendly and accommodating. Would love to come again sometime!

I honestly can't fault the food, it was AMAZING! I wish I could eat if every day. My partner has been to Thailand and eaten everything and tried everything he could... and he thinks the food in particular the Massaman curry and the Padthai was the best he has ever had! I have to order the food again, rarely order delivery, this one will be on the top of my list. Even my little girl put her thumb up many times afterwards. Namo is the best Thai food I've had since I lived in Thailand. I had a beautiful meal here with friends recently. All the traditional Thai flavours with some additional modern twists to the menu. Healthy, fresh, clean eating with just the right amount of spice to keep you wanting more. Can't wait to eat here again. Thank you!
