Great spot since the new owners bought out the triangle bars. New DJs and better priced drinks than the previous time we went. Well worth a revisit, mainly targeted at student nights, could do with some new loos

used to love brass pig until friday. an aggressive bouncer shouted in my friends face and then violently grabbed my arm, pulling me out the queue even though we had done nothing wrong. i’m a 5”2 girl and he was at least 6”0. we don’t know his name but he was tall with a beard and was italian. absolutely disgraceful, will not be returning if these ABUSIVE bouncers remain working there.

the bodyguard was aggressive and rude. im deeply disappointed in staff that are being rude to teenagers and that are unkind. It’s unneeded and the rest of the staff were unhelpful and just by-standing the disrespectful behaviour. i will not be going back and i think brass pig need to rethink who they employ. it’s not difficult to be polite and kind thank you

I went there for drink on a Friday night. I like the atmosphere there. BUT the dance floor down stairs was horribly packed with too many people. I'm not even sure if it is safe to have that many people. It was difficult to breath. The toilets are on down stairs only so I need to go through the dance floor which wasn't easy at all. The queue for female toilets took ages. These are enough for me not to go there ever again.

Good night out on a Thursday for students. It has a dance floor on the lower level and a bar upstairs. They play mostly pop songs, like Taylor Swift & Katy Perry.

Horrifyingly overpriced drinks. Disgusting behaviour by staff. In the male toilets, a scammer is positioned to charge you for washing your hands (not an exaggeration). I went with 5 friends and all separately had identical experiences, where a security employee stood outside and another individual stood inside telling people they’d have to pay (literally asking anyone who walked in “how much are you paying” - after refusing to pay we were told we’d “have to get past the guy on the door” Drinks are often stale, bottom of the barrel. This place does not replace barrels when the tap sputters and foams, they’ll just serve you anyway. Go anywhere else, please don’t support this business

Guy behind the bar was friendly, half the pub was closed. Very few people in the pub and prices quite high. No atmosphere.

There is a young male bartender here who offers doubles as an upsell but will then proceed to pour 2 drinks and keep one for himself. Young, long kind of greasy hair, short. He's was also just unnecessarily rude and snappy at people. Avoid seeing as they scam people. Drinks are also very expensive.

I popped in with my partner for a quick drink and to look around.bI was charged £6.50 for a small bottle of Peroni. I queried this with the bar person who told me that was the correct cost

The music etc is ok. Venue is very badly let down by the bartenders who think it's acceptable to offer a double as an upsell and then proceed to pour 2 drinks, one for themselves and one for you and make you pay for both. Really shady barmen. It was just 1 guy who did this and to their credit the rest of the bar staff were lovely but this one male bartender was happy to scam me. Just for the fact that they do things like this means I can't recommend this place at all. Drinks are also very pricey here - 1 shot was like £7.

Walked in with plans for a nice drink with some friends. Was greeted by the welcoming smell of vomit (fumigation needed). Was then charged £5 for a half pint of Carlsberg (how?). Left abruptly.

Got turned away as I was single at 10pm, went there as a single on Friday and all was ok. Poor, not going back ever.... Not worth a rating......

Booked few tables with my mates and they told us capacity was too high even though we booked completely ruined are night out as we could’ve booked somewhere else but our booking was confirmed so we relied on it, was also quite clear the manager didn’t brush his teeth he breathed in my face and I almost shrivelled up WOULDNT RECCOMEND THIS PUB TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE.

Good music and Covid security but bar staff don’t know what drinks they have and no app to order so unless you want a larger be prepared for back and forth and to wait an age for your drinks

The Brass Pig is a nice 2-storey pub on the Triangle in Bristol. The drinks are reasonably priced and there is a good selection. The terrace is lovely to sit outside on when the weather is good. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The Brass Pig is a nice pub in Bristol to drink in during the day and has a good atomsphere at night time. The Brass Pig has live music every Thursday, free entry every night and drink deals every night and they do 2-4-1 cocktails Tuesday & Thursday until 11pm. The Brass Pig is a nice place to go to with friends for drinks. Some of the seating could be improved especially outside on the terrace. Overall The Brass Pig is a clean and modern pub in the heart of Bristol with a good atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. Open 5pm - 2am Monday - Saturday (except bank holidays). You can also book parties at The Brass Pig and their sister venue Gravity is just along and across the road.

£7.20 for a terrible gin & lemonade in a plastic cup, of which a fair amount was spilled by the bartender who wasn’t arsed about it. Could’ve had about 3 of these in a Wetherspoons for the same price and they’d have been bigger, better, and not spilled without apology.

Absolutely ridiculous/hilarious/pathetic that at 51 & 53 we weren’t allowed in because we didn’t bring ID. You’ve missed out on our custom. To my friends, family and anyone else actually don’t bother going there either! - very very poor customer service. Or was it plain and simple discrimination knowing older people wouldn’t have ID and that’s not the demographic you’re after?? Reading the other reviews that’s more like it.

El personal del bar no servía a mis amigos y yo a pesar de que no habíamos bebido nada. Esperamos pacientemente en el bar durante aproximadamente una hora, observando cómo una licitante de una mujer nos evitaba y, cuando llegó el momento, finalmente me sirvió, me dijo que estaba "demasiado borracha", aunque no había bebido nada. Una amiga igual de sobria que luego intentó tomar una copa y otra vez le dijeron que no la iban a atender, y le dio un golpecito a la mujer en la espalda para preguntar por qué, y la mujer de la licitación del bar respondió violentamente: "No me toques". '. Have been here many times and like it a lot. However, bouncers reject people- usually based on prejudices. Please remove Rhys Davis.

Great place for students during the week. Monday and Thursday would recommend. On Friday many of the locals and bouncers will unnecessary exert their power, they will try reject anyone on any basis.

Watered down drinks. Had a double G&T and could taste neither gin nor tonic! The beer is just as bad. To be avoided.

We came here for drinks for a work thing. What an awful place. Miserable staff who really do not seem to want to serve waiting customers and absolutely freezing cold. It makes Wetherspoons look plush whilst charging Clifton prices!

They upsell alcohol on card spends less than a fiver

Lo peor es el lento personal del bar que no reconoce quién ha estado allí primero. Trabajo en un bar y entiendo que los clientes pueden ser molestos y las noches ocupadas, pero fue ridículo cuánto tiempo toman bebidas y cómo solo sirven a las personas que quieren / que están más cerca de donde se encuentran. Cada vez que he estado aquí han tardado siglos para servir a las personas especialmente en el bar de la planta baja. Otra desventaja es que está lleno de agresivos y groseros niños molestos: si eres un estudiante de primer año, entonces probablemente esté bien, pero para cualquier otra persona es muy molesto. Las bebidas son demasiado caras también. Lo único positivo es que es una buena decoración para el lugar, la música es decente y también lo es el refugio para fumadores. En general, no recomendaría ir a menos que Mbargos esté cerrado o como último plan de zanja.

Apareció para tomar algo rápido antes de ir a comer a otra parte. Al entrar al bar fue golpeado por un olor no tan agradable. No pude describirlo pero me quitó la cerveza. El servicio es bueno, la cerveza estaba bien, a un precio razonable, pero este lugar parece cansado.

Este lugar botas fuera de £2 pintas de un lunes y la boiz están fuera de uno. Este lugar ha sido afinados para el sesh: Pájaros en forma, una variedad de seshable pintos (aaaah me encanta una Carling), gran espacio abierto, con excelente zona de no fumadores que balc/maximiza el sucio coquetas avec les chicas.

Pretty awful place. Went on a Thursday evening, around 9ish, and there were about 12 other people there. The staff were pretty rude and we're all just stood around the bar not doing anything, giving off a really uncomfortable atmosphere. No menus or prices anywhere...

Como otros antes que yo intento más de 2 días, reservar una comida de domingo por teléfono y correo electrónico, no sirvió para nada. Decidimos ir a domingo a las 12 o'clock de todos modos de encontrar cerrado y 2 mujeres que habíamos reservado anteriormente fuera obviamente esperaba que estuviera abierto. Me pregunto si aún está en funcionamiento, pero sin duda no la aconsejaría a cualquiera.

Its has been going in for 6 months now, they told me twice that the refund has been paid but this was a month ago. Today they told me to come in and pick up cash, and guess what? There is no cash! The internal communication between managers is non existing because they always tell that they don't know anything and I have to wait until one of the managers is back. Don't book anything with them, they are a bunch of liars and doesn't show any respect to their customers! No business behaves like this!

Group of 7.Had a fab time here, although service was a little poor.between us they only provided 1 small jug of milk for our afternoon tea which didn't even do a ful round, we requested another, 10 mins later had to again ask which took a further 5 mins to arrive. A glass of wine was ordered alongside the afternoon tea (pre-booked we just gave the go ahead to bring out) and this drink took 25 minutes to arrive after asking 3 different people.Our 2 hour slot ended and they were very accommodating with re-seating us near the bar.Food was quite nice, desserts were lovely.

Phone is never answered. Despite numerous messages left with phone number. I had a booking but when i arrived the place was shut and it has been open since but have still had no answer as to why it was shut on my booking. I have eaten here before and to be fair the food was the quality of a microwaved meal but was willing to try the roast on a voucher as i hadnt tried it before so i was going to give it another chance. We were supposed to have a Christmas dinner there and one day before they canceled it on us. The deposit was paid and everything seemed to be ok, after the cancellation they were very apologetic and said they will give the deposit back. Now 5 months after, the deposit is not back, managers are ignoring all of our emails/calls/messages! They said to come in and give me my card details but after that it seems like they are not existing anymore. Very unprofessional from their side!

This place tried to be everything - it does vouchers to get people in to eat a Sunday roast but the night before is a bar with DJ. As such for eating, it has an odd atmosphere. The roast was average, some might have been homecooked but Yorkshires definitely out of a packet! It was average in size and tasted ok but not great- much better options locally. Had a shock when the drinks bill came- we had two pints of ale- one was £5 and one was £4.30. Way too expensive for The Brass Pig! Kind of price i'd expect to pay in London or an upmarket place in Bristol. Wouldn't visit again or recommend.

We come here a lot and it really is a great place.Drinks are averagely priced its central to other bars around the area and the service is always quick.Most of the time the atmosphere is great with a range of different aged people.Lately I've found it to be FULL of immature teenagers trying to intimidate by pouring all through the bar and outside space.All paraletic, rude and bad behaviours.I hope it returns to how it was before as this was one of our favourite places to start a night out.Also downstairs and the toilets could do with a refurb.

Went for Sunday roast. The place looks really nice and the decor is quite interesting. Was sat downstairs and there was a strong draft. Food is completely average and the draft made it go cold really quickly. Attentive staff, cheap drinks, but wouldn't go there again for food.

Visited for lunch on a voucher deal for burger and chips. Burger was nice, chips were ok but they had already been salted and I don't put sat on my food. This should be a choice. Also asked for tomato ketchup and they had ran out. There is a Sainsbury's just across the road someone could have gone and bought some! Finally on leaving I visited the ladies toilets and there was no toilet paper - luckily I always carry tissues! Overall not impressed and wouldn't go again.

At the end of the night and fancy one more drink and a little dance then hit this pub. There's a dance floor downstairs and the bar upstairs, not sure on price of drinks but as its a hot spot for uni students I presume it's not expensive. Free to get in, don't forget your ID!

Me and my mum went here when we had a voucher for the Sunday lunch. My mum didn't enjoy it at all but I did. The meat was rare and just to my taste (why is it so hard to find places that serve rare beef on Sundays?!). I really enjoyed the potatoes and veg that it came with. We asked for extra gravy which took a while but the staff were happy to oblige. Even though my mum didn't like it it didn't change my opinion of the place.

My partner made the unfortunate decision to pick this place for some food and drinks ! From the outside looks nice and the name brass pig would give the impression of a good meaty menu, couldn't be further from the truth.Ordered 4 starters as the menu was awful just pizza and burgers mainly. I ordered the calamari in which I took one bite of and nearly spewed in my mouth. My partner has been ill today having to run to the nearest loo in sight. By far the worst place I've eaten. Cheap crappy frozen food. Would not recommend !!

Recently visited for Sunday lunch as had bought a living social voucher for a half price offer. It was very busy but the service was efficient and the food was nice but average. Has a large heated covered seating area outside so good for smokers.

We had bought a Living Social voucher for a Sunday lunch at The Brass Pig in Clifton. The voucher was for lunch with a glass of wine. As I was driving and my husband doesn't like wine we were very happy to hear we could have any drink and pay the difference. The staff were very friendly, the venue is lovely with a terrace overlooking Clifton Triangle (good for people watching! ) and the food was fantastic. Will definitely be coming back!

Very friendly staff good bistro atmosphere. Kyle and his colleagues provided a very good value for money Sunday lunch, had we eaten later we would have been treated to a performance from the regular pianist. Drink however was a tad pricey. Excellent value on a groupon deal.

Our Sunday Lunch on a Groupon ticket arranged by a family friend just didn't happen.Six of us arrived at 12:25 in (what we thought was good time).Our two friends with the ticket arrived some 5 minutes later( one of them is physically impaired and gets where she wants to be, but slowly and painfully).Within that period of 10 minutes the six of us were told we could not stay for lunch because, children are not welcome.( With us we had Thomas 10 and Emily 7 )Staff were unfriendly and unfeeling...we had travelled some distance and were hot and tired.It was somewhat our friend's fault but ...staff at the Brass Pig could have helped by at the very least suggesting an alternative venue.. instead of being rude to an old man (70) and asking him and his family to leave.

During a trip to Bristol with our 6 week old daughter we realised we needed to make a quick stop to feed her as she was getting very hungry. It was a very hot day and she was getting quite distressed. We popped into the Brass Pig and asked the staff if it was ok to find a quiet corner to feed her in. The pub was completely empty and at first we were told it was fine to feed my daughter even without buying a drink (we would have been happy to do this)A manager then came down and told us that we had to leave as he couldn't have anyone under the age of 14 on the premises. He was very insistent and didn't seem to realise how absurd it is to kick a 6 week old baby out of a pub at 1pm on a Saturday. A pretty terrible experience!

My friends and I reserved a table on the terrace for our friend's 40th birthday. It was such a lovely location, we were able to watch the hustle and bustle of the clifton triangle whilst we enjoyed the cocktails on offer. Which were absolutely delicious!The service was great, lots of smiles from the staff. Our friend had a lovely time and was well catered for. We would all definitely come here again.

I found the staff were rude, we tried to join the pub quiz and the bar lady was less than helpful. The food was awful, for example the garlic bread was just salt on bread. No wonder there's always group on offers.Don't go!

I had the pleasure of celebrating my 30th birthday party at the brass pig this weekend and it couldn't have been more delightful!I had a party of around 50-70 people throughout the night and was looking for a stylish location that would comfortably suit this volume with a space to dance and plenty of seated areas to relax and chat. I also wanted the venue to provide food and a DJ ...the brass pig offered all this and more.Kyle, the manager made sure everything was perfect for me and my company - he was incredibly accommodating with an eye for perfection and attention to detail. Above all, he was friendly and approachable...and made everyone feel very welcome.The buffet was exceptional and great value, so many people raved about how delicious it was the following day.The DJ was fab and got everyone dancing...he was so happy to play requests and made it feel really personal. The fact it had a 2am license was even better! I can not recommend this venue enough! I would always have parties here in the future and I'm looking forward to the wedding reception we are attending at the brass pig next weekend!Massive thanks to the whole team from Saturday eve, you guys rock!Debbie Waygood.

We arrived half an hour early because I didnt realise there is a car park right next door (very convenient!) - the outside looks shabby and could do with an upgrade but the inside was very nice! We had a starter of soup du jour which was tomato and basil and it was really nice! The ciabatta and croutons were a nice addition too! Having been a hot day, all their butter in the kitchen had melted but that was no bother and the waiter was very apologetic! The roast we had was beef and it was delicious! Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection and the cauliflower cheese was nice too! Overall, a great visit and we cant wait to return! (P.s not sure why this place has negative reviews!)

as i used a livingsocial voucher, i can't really complain as it was pretty cheap. however, the veggie tart was the soggiest thing i have ever been served, and the veggie gravy literally tasted of nothing. the veg was good- potatoes almost crispy. I guess as it was pretty empty I felt they could have at east cooked the tart a bit longer. for £8 a roast, there are so many better places to have one in bristol, so won;t be returning.friendly waitresses though.

Went for sunday lunch food a+ very clean and groupon are doing 2 sunday lunches and 2 glasses of wine for £12. Even though the pub was fully booked we were not rushed. Will be going back again

We used a Groupon voucher for Sunday roast, the food was delicious, the staff very helpful & friendly. When I phoned to book the member of staff I spoke to made me look forward to visiting he was so sincere.

Really great place! Had Sunday roast here today and was really impressed!Spotlessly clean, lovely food, nice relaxing atmosphere and attentive staff!Choice of inside or outside seating, where you can watch the bustle of busy Clifton triangle. The prices were really reasonable for Clifton, both food (£8.95) and drinks (usual price)We will definitely be returning

Went to watch the boxing the other night. Was made to wait outside for over an hour even though the place was relatively empty. The only other time I've been here they'd 'run out' of ingredients for their gourmet sandwich selection. Poor show, won't be returning.

After following The Gourmet Sandwich Club on Facebook and seeing the delightful leaning tower of sandwich, I knew I had to go. Note: the sandwiches are just a regular size, for anyone who was ready to experience death by sandwich. I had 'The Meaty One' with some dirty fries - I fell in love. Very reasonable at £5 per sandwich and a few pounds more (can't remember the exact amount!), I was so stuffed and didn't need dinner that day! We went at 2pm and it was quiet and relaxing. Definately worth a visit, or a few!

Lots of good drinks deals when football is on, which is good. However, the staff can be a little rude and slow.
