Lovely atmosphere. Zach behind the bar was legend, really friendly customer service.

Rude and unkempt staff. Food was cold, took it back to the bar. After the two girls behind the bar had finished their conversation, one of them finally served me and took the food back. Only to have the same meal brought back to me after obviously put n the microwave. I spoke with the manager, who looked as if he’d just been dragged out of bed. He had a poor attitude and nonexistent customer service skills. He basically said go to another spoons if you don’t like the service It’s a shame as been going to this spoons for years and never had an issue.

It is a pub where you can taste any type of beer and especially the red fruit cider, very good, I have not tried anything better. You also have very cheap mixed dishes for £6.75 including the drink, which is a half-litre jug of beer or whatever drink you want. We ordered typical English breakfast, the sausages were homemade. A very large place with carpet where all university students and also middle-aged people go. Highly recommended.

Lovely place let down by the indifferent staff. Girl with black hair tied in a ponytail particularly moody as in the photo. They serve People who have just joined the queue behind others waiting. The internet don’t work at the back but otherwise a nice place to visit. Wetherspoons need to sort out the Management. Only Spoons where I have experienced Staff like this.

He encontrado que esta es la norma en todas partes excepto en Berkeley, Bristol. Dos veces he estado allí (como visitante de un día a Bristol) , y dos veces me he ido debido al tiempo ridículo que se tarda en ser servido. En ambas ocasiones había una persona detrás de la barra, tomando pedidos de comida y supuestamente sirviendo bebidas. Creo que esperar 5 minutos en una cola, sin posibilidad inmediata de que te sirvan una pinta es excesivo en los libros de nadie. Cuando le dije al barman (pelo largo y oscuro, bigote de 1970) que me rendía, oí una réplica incomprensible cuando me iba. Tim Martin, si estás leyendo esto, habla con el gerente y recuérdale las expectativas de sus clientes, es decir, el servicio (no necesariamente con una sonrisa) dentro de un período de tiempo razonable. Si el personal está tan ocupado, ponte más.

Wouldn’t recommend stepping foot in here if you want to be robbed and spoken to like dirt on the floor. Drink was brought over by server but noticed it wasn’t made as I asked. Ordered a vodka lemonade but absolutely not vodka in this drink. Asked the server to check this as all 4 of us couldn’t taste or smell any alcohol in this drink. (It was a flavoured vodka we ordered, bubblegum) The server then come and put the drink on the table and refused to make a new drink to assist. Walked away with an attitude. They have no customer service in this pub and when contacting then and emailing management they shook it off and refusing to help. Disgusting customer service.

Great ambience in a vibrant part of the city. Bus stop directly outside. Good meeting place. Excellent value for money.

Went there for late lunch on Monday. There was an unkempt man with unpleasant smell (the smell of homeless person) sitting next to my table. He picked up a bottle of mayonnaise from the condiments counter to his table. I saw he dipped a fried spaghetti stick into the mayonnaise bottle, took it out and licked the spaghetti stick. Later he continued doing the same thing with spaghetti stick which he already licked. The same mayonnaise bottle will be used by other diners. Food tasted good but the safety and hygiene really concerns me.

Had breakfast this morning. Service was quick and for the price, good value, in fact cheaper than other Wetherspoons in Bristol. However, beans were luke warm and eggs overcooked, so maybe it's not all about price!

Went there on Saturday, ordered some food and a drink. Went outside and the bouncers never let me back in. Said was too full, even though we had bought items there. Then was forced to leave, Thanks for that!

Venue: The Berkeley Location: Clifton, Bristol On arrival, I felt quite uncomfortable. People resting their feet on the sofas with dirty shoes on. Every single table I saw was dirty. I literally wiped the table myself using antibacterial wipes! When I ordered the food and drink, it wasn't that great. The beer, which was in a bottle that was served to me, was warm. The glass was hot and wet. I asked a staff member if I could get a cold beer with a cool, dry glass. I was ignored. He probably didn't hear me, or was just being rude. The food was lukewarm. I know the grilled chicken breast is cooked from a microwave, but come on! The beef burger and chicken were all lukewarm. The only thing on the plate that was hot, were the chips. Did I receive a check back? No. I thought it's standard, company policy for staff to check back on food orders? I did not receive one check back whatsoever. This is the second Wetherspoons pub in Bristol that has let me down. Because of this, I am avoiding Wetherspoons completely. I am worried that I will be let down again.

Berkeley, directly opposite the "Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery", is the largest Wetherspoon restaurant I have ever seen. It always provides large portions of Pub Food. It is most suitable for people who need to replenish energy for a full day of activities. After eating, you can eat well. Enjoy the city!

Toilets reeked. Large breakfast was Luke warm. Students sat on stairs making it difficult to get to the usual upstairs spoons bogs.

Food took ages When I asked again.. It arrived cold.

Very convenient for when you have just walked up College Green. A good pint at a very good price. It does get busy but worth the wait.

Lovely spoons with a food view, ordered food and arrived in double quick time and was hot! Not my normal stomping ground but would definitely return if I'm in the area again! I visited in the middle of the day so can't really comment on atmosphere

Very slow service, food was passable at best, drinks took forever, coffee tasted of sour milk. Strange man banging chairs and throwing stuff about was a bit disconcerting.

mistakenly went here on an empty stomach which didn’t end too well for me. luckily the manager and one of the other members of staff were so lovely and helpful, one of them stayed with me and gave me water, and went to find my bf. they were so kind and gentle and helped us book an uber and got me out safely and I am so immensely grateful for them. I’m so sorry I can’t remember either of your names, but Tim Martin if you’re reading this give them a raise because they went above and beyond to help me

A better than average Wetherspoon pub, oddly quiet on a Sunday afternoon, but it is summer holiday for students. The ascent to the bogs isn't as challenging as at other pubs of that chain, and there's a barrage of urinals ready for freshers' week.

Visited early on a weekday evening when there was no more than 5 other groups in the pub yet we had to go and chase our drinks order up after waiting over 15 minutes, very limited menu in this branch too so wouldn’t bother again.

Food is reasonably fine, but the pub does look a bit drab unfortunately.

Food ok for price. Service was was quick although my friend said her burger and chips were not very warm. I had chicken bacon salad, but it was rather bland so could not recommend. Chips were a generous portion and very tasty. Other friends had chicken and spicy rice and said it was very nice. Very noisy as popular on a Saturday night

You can't go wrong with Wetherspoons especially in Clifton as prices in other places are much higher. Easy to order, just download app and order at the table.

Nipped in for a quick coffee after walking around the city for an hour or two… Expected nothing more than a run of the mill Wetherspoons to be honest. We were quite right. All the coffee you can drink for less than the cost of a slice of toast. Although, it’s almost impossible to drink to excess without the mother of all caffeine-induced headaches striking home like an Exocet missile looking for trouble. Still, we had a couple of cups and then headed off looking for all things touristy. Walked over some bridge or other, as you do. The pub was perfectly OK to visit and enjoy a drink and a rest. The food is no doubt burgers, curries, steak, etc. Didn’t eat any, can’t comment.

The food arrived luke warm after 30 minutes. But without our drinks. Had to get a refund for the dinks after waiting 50 minutes as had to leave. Best order at bar and not app. At least you’re get you’re drink that way.

Place is always so busy, very exciting but you have to queue for so long to get a drink. I love the atmosphere as a student, definitely more of a bar than a pub round the front, slightly more usual seating round the back. Food at spoons is always good.

It’s a standard spoons, in a student area so get very busy, especially in Wednesdays and weekends.

23/2/24 Friday evening meal & beer I had just finished a long wander round town including the docks and Clifton Suspension Bridge. It was mizzling down and I needed somewhere warm for a bite to eat and a beer before heading back for London by coach. I looked up TA to find this on the way back to the coach station. I arrived at 18:50 to find a busy big pub extending far to the back. There was a mixed crowd but mostly students at the back under the Whispering Gallery Multicoloured Dome. A table for two was free which I took. I found the WiFi, opened the app and ordered a porter beer with all day brunch. The food arrived in good time at 19:08 and was up to the usual good standards at a good price on the propriety blue patterned plate. The three veggie sausages were fine. The beer never came (usually it is first) so I had to remind a manager that I was still expecting it, pointing to my app. It arrived shortly after. It was busy and I can understand the error. It did not seem like a porter though. I finished the meal by 19:40 and headed off to the Coach Station via a bar the far side. On the way out I admired the lighting disc theme. Luckily the rain has stopped.

Wetherspoon branch visited #113. Decided to visit this branch whilst on a day trip to Bristol. A branch in the Clifton area of the City. Was busy upon arrival. Found a table at the back of the pub, however no 4G/5G signal on EE at all. The Cloud WiFi would not let me sign in. Had to find another table, as ordering at the bar would have resulted in anotuer hunt for a table. This is a other branch that does the 'Top Plates, Low Rates' offer. However the Pizza offer is advertised as £9.86 on the advertisements but is £10.93 on the app. This needs amending on either the app, or the advertising around the pub. The 'Top Plates, Low Rates' deals have also been creeping up in price since the offer was first launched. Savings on some items are now minimal - in particular for the 3oz American and Crunchy Chicken Burger, Pizzas and Vegetarian chicken options. However, I did order an All Day Brunch and Pint of Leffe. Was also a little unimpressed that the festival beers were not available to order via the app, when there were clearly some on the bar to purchase. Service was somewhat slow, with pint of Leffe arriving 11 minutes after being ordered. Food arriving nearly 20 minutes later. No issues with quality or temperature of food, when it arrived. Despite the small gripes, I do recommend visiting if you are in the area. As always, Spoons prices generally win again most other places.

We spent a substantial amount of hours here on Saturday, we were able to obtain a big table in the back. Service was the app was great, very very cheap drinks which is the main appeal. I know food from Wetherspoons is good feol previous visits. Our little corner was the best bit, good atmosphere and cute little booths. Location is excellent!

spoons is a classic, i love the rosa pitcher but really don’t get this if you’re planning to get hammered, it is SO diluted. 9.11£ and you won’t be drunk so only get this if you enjoy a sweet, sprite like drink, NOT to get drunk. also get the 2 for 15£ with a friend for this pitcher instead, 9.11£ is not worth it alone. strawberry tequila shots were interesting

Just be honest. Would you eat this pizza? I requested a new one which came out completely uncooked. The first pizza looked like it had been set alight, the second one looked like it had been cooked with a hairdryer, still had raw dough, the cheese was not melted. I wasn’t expecting wood fire cooked sourdough Michelin star pizza but I expected the food to at least be edible.

Another City....another "Spoons" !! A small frontage but amazingly it is huge inside. Nothing different....it does what it says on the tin. Good man behind the bar though ! Our first drink on a weekend break on our way to Clifton.

Food was decent and reasonably priced, the venue has a nice feel, but the table and floor were sticky and staff were capable but not especially friendly. Seems there were not enough staff to cover, despite the restaurant only being half full.

Great pub. Best place to go for breakfast. Cheap and tasty. Full breakfast and unlimited coffee for a fiver! Can't go wrong.

Decor real sad, needs a bit of an update. Full English breakfast is still a bargain, but I was cold and the server was pretty unfriendly.

Classic WP, not the best but always a good place

I love this place, I often go there for a meal as it’s good size portion, good selection of food and drinks and very good prices. This is my favourite Wetherspoons in Bristol as it’s not far from river Avon and not too far to Clifton as after big meal and some nice drinks I like to explore Bristol. It has plenty tables and service is pretty quick. Also if you looking for drinks to go out this is good place to go as the drinks are in reasonable prices and all the nightclubs are just couple minutes walk away. Also there is plenty toilets so don’t really need to wait in long lines. It gets busy around festive times or student nights, but even then there is nice and chilled vibe.

Better than many Wetherspoon's. It has a good atmosphere and is a popular place to drink with good prices.

Two stars for affordable food and semi-decent service. However, tables are not clean. My food was lukewarm and not great in terms of taste (which is to be expected from English food). Give the food a burst of flavor by seasoning it (a little salt, pepper, garlic, etc.. can go a long way), and make better food combinations. Oh, and ensure the food is actually fully cooked.. it'd be great to *not* have food poisoning upon eating the food here. Bless x

Good beer, cocktails and overall nice atmosphere.

I like this place, service is normally fast if it is not very busy. If it is busy, you may wait a long time for food or drink or to get a table clean. The food was fine, ready in 10-15 minutes, so it's not bad timing. Taste: well its bar food :) . The atmosphere is good, friendly. Wel I made just 1 photo :)

Great prices, good location close to University and Museum. Miners Benedict was lovely poached egg and black pudding breakfast, bottomless pot of coffee went down well. Staff were good.

Usually plenty of space (except Friday and Saturday nights). Many cozy corners to choose from with power plugs next to them. Awesome hot drink refills. Food mostly unhealthy, as always in Spoons - the biggest reason why I ever choose not to visit.

Called in for a pint and snack to celebrate my friends birthday, was not let down could have stayed longer but had to catch train.
