Ok for a local pub Nice staff very friendly. Beer and cider always good Only had food a few times It's ok but nothing special. Just pub grub New opening times so please check as winter hours now apply

Booked a table at the Yeoman and received a booking email, when i got to the pub no table was reserved for me however it was busy so they said i could pick a window table of the lower area of the pub. Food was amazing and delivered fast to use and Tom was nice.

Amazing food cheap prices will always return lovely garden, sweet chilli chicken is out of this world

Fantastic food and service by the whole team, it’s on the main Wells Road so ideal location with ample car parking available. Visited with friends and we really like the split between the bar and restaurant area, you don’t see that in many pubs these days. This is a team who always delivers exceptional standards and food is always tasty and delicious. Recommend the Pea Bites, Scampi, Philly Steak and Caramel Waffle

Popped in last night with a friend for tea! It was rather busy but the food and service was excellent! Loving the cocktails at the moment!

Joke of a pub/restaurant! When ever it gets slightly busy the kitchen has miraculous fault in some way to stop any food service. The kitchen has been closed either early or due to faults every other week as a constant rule.

Absolutely shocking. Booked Boxing Day online for lunch, had a confirmation to acknowledge this too. I’ve been ringing for the last two weeks to discuss meal with them( menus etc) just to be told, after ringing them yet again as no one had decency to call us back, that they are not open for meals! Takes the piss!!

Came here for a quick Bite to eat and shelter from the rain. Very polite staff 🤍 We paid £2 for some onion rings. Tell me why we were served three ? Two great British pounds for three onion rings? That’s 66p a ring! In this economy? Such a rip off should be illegal, but then again, this is Wells… I’m disappointed but not surprised. Let’s hope that in an effort to cut corners, this pub doesn’t cut rings for anyone else anytime soon- because seriously, how do you expect any enjoyer of the onion ring to ever respect such an establishment again. Let me end this review on a final note. In a world where it is 66p an onion ring, perhaps it’s time we look in on ourselves, reflect, and ask ourselves how we could let this happen. (Pictured is the bowl the onion rings came in, empty as we did NOT struggle to finish them.)

Have been here now 5 time rhe first 4 time service was slow but friendly and helpful, food was good, and atmosphere was calm yet fun. Last visit everything was very poor. They did give discount for the food mess-up and where very apologetics.

Excellent service and great prices

Not very good at all .this pub has gone down hill

Toilets are a major issue with this establishment. They constantly breakdown and need a major repair to prevent further closure. The problem has been the yeomans fault for some time now. Outside could do with a major refurb,it looks very used/battered and does not have a good reflection on the pub, I would assume it voids passers coming in,which no establishment can afford in this day and age. Tom and his staff are professional and are pleased to help you all the time.

Good value for money pub, there was a slight issue with our food which was my own fault but the staff were so great with us to rectify the issue.

The food is great though it takes A LOT to come through. The atmosphere is okish but lots of drunk people around unfortunately. I'd still recommend it as it's quite cheap and the food quality is pretty good :)

Regularly use this pub to eat prior to going to the theatre on our trips up from deepest Somerset.Normally very good as posted previously but....on this occasion not so good ....my sizzler was good but my partners steak and chicken combo was poor.Steak flavourless...onion rings barely cooked and anemic....cheesy chips were a quick squirt of american bottled cheese ...starter served as a side no jalapeños wrong sauce. Combinations of all this gets a two star rating ...sort it out a new menu doesnt justify such poor presentation. On the plus side served in good time

Zero rate for me rubbish food and no food you want and it's all well don't bother rubbish service the chef very rude calling me brave for my meal back as uncooked same as my wife's and very insulting 0 rating from me and my wife but bar staff excellent service

I came in for dinner being as I haven’t came in here for a long time and the food was cooked to perfection and I would love to give a special mention to Nikki for always smiling and being helpful and providing a good service will definitely be returning in the near future

Once again kitchen closed, even though I booked a table this time hoping someone would contact me and let me know if there was any issues, no that would be to professional for the Yeoman so was just told by the bar man he didn't contact me because he hadn't checked the bookings, he did say after checking them that I wasn't alone as someone else had booked earlier that day and must have just gone home after seeing the sign on the bar, so no food. Don't make any arrangements to eat here as you may be unlucky. This has happened 4 times now. Kebab it is again.

Staff were extremely friendly, easy to talk to. Polite and quick service. Food was delicious and hot.

All the staff went above and beyond to make sure our Christmas lunch with all my family X11 of us was special and friendly... Lovely food.. And service excellent.. We will definitely be coming next Christmas day again for our family lunch.. Thank you to the manager to and chef Emma and all the bar staff.. Very much appreciated x

I do really like the yoman but sometimes with the food it can be a bit hit and miss my sons chips seemed under cooked and my pork belly was a bit to over cooked but the time before this when I visited the restaurant the food was amazing it was a 10/10 thats why I came back and had the same dish but wasn’t so pleased with it this time around we was a table of 6 everyone else on the table meals they were pleased with just one more thing the toilets really smell so did put me off my food i don’t know if there’s something that can be done about that as the toilets are right by the seating area but is quite a strong smell and over powering But other than that Iv gave a 7 and will be coming back just maybe sit somewhere else

Arrived at 12:10 ready for our reservation at 12:15 doors was locked someone arrived in a car and knocked the door and passed a bottle to someone on the inside, we assumed they was opening the doors, tried to go in and was then told that they are not going to be open for at least another half hour as they have a technical issue but upon looking inside there was just one lady there which looked like giving someone some medicine of some sort, we had a reservation and we had no call or email to say about the issue and neither did they call to ask why we wasn’t there or anything this is the first message recieved, every 5th December us as a family all go out for a meal as it is my mothers anniversary of her death, and ironically we actually came here last year on 5th December 2022 and again we was turned away at the door because we was told the kitchen was not open as they had no staff! So this has happened to us 2 years running on the same day now and I think the way it is handled is appalling especially as we had made a booking reservation this year.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the Yeoman. I have visited several times before but never eaten. The food was very good and the service was also ok. I will visit again if I'm in the area.

I'd like to leave a review of 0 stars for the service and the food but sadly, google wont let me do that. I had booked a table for 8pm, we arrived, showed them our booking confirmation and were told the kitchen was closed. I spoke to the woman who was in charge, I asked why they would allow bookings to go through on the website if the kitchen is closed at 8pm. She told me it was essentially my fault for arranging the booking in the afternoon, because she didn't check the bookings after midday. Her poor management skills shouldn't be my fault. When I asked her why she wasn't honouring the booking, she told me she was planning on reopening the kitchen, but because I was being rude to her I needed to leave. Apparently, pointing out a mistake is now classed as being rude. So yeah, I'd like to leave 0 stars because we didn't even get to try the food, and her rude and aggressive behaviour was completely unnecessary to the extent other patrons at the bar were agreeing with me. Cant comment much on the atmosphere though because we weren't there for long enough.

Ignorant bar staff (young lad). Had to clarify drinks three times. No after check once the meals were served and had to chase up complimentary dessert (complimentary because they messed up with first course). Plates left on table and only cleared when dessert was served. One of the cheesecakes was warm and mushy. At least we know not to return

First time I had been to The Yeoman and must say the food is appalling. Wouldn't recommend at all for food here. Staff were lovely. Its an ok place to have a drink but that's it. Such a shame the food let the place down.

Absolutely dreadful! Came in twice in the last couple of months on the way home from visiting my step daughter in hospital. Both times my wife and I were in before 8 PM and both times we were told the kitchen was shut. The second time was a Friday and we'd booked! Really unimpressed, we will not be back and will tell our friends to avoid!

Was greeted by Bradley upon arrival what a charming well mannered individual. Truly an absolute credit to the business will be back in the future.

Stop by on the off chance with no booking, really nice place. Had the jerk chicken skewers which were amazing, my partner had the pork belly Chinese style. Really really nice food, great price and Brad was really welcoming and looked after us.
