Lovely cafe with good selection of drinks and cake.

The coffee and Turkish tea are nice, the food is OK nothing special or different from other coffee shops.

First visit there and the place totally exceeded all expectations. Food beautifully cooked and nicely presented. They put a few leaves on the side as garnish which I don't usually have as lettuce etc can come out limp very often but this was so fresh with a few little pomegranate seeds on top. Service was second to none. The staff were on the ball, attentive and experienced without making you feel rushed. Very clean looking including the toilets, although it wasn't yet mid morning but getting busier. Only downside was slightly too high energy music as it sounded a bit 'nightcluby' and just wanted to relax after a hard week, so something slightly more melodic would have hit just the right note (pun intended). Brilliant place though as others might like the upbeat atmosphere of Brighton and it really is now going to be my favourite place for breakfast or lunch despite living in Lancing. Coffee was also excellent. Asked for extra hot and that's exactly what I received as usually, despite the request, it tends to come out luke warm. I've often passed this place on the bus which always looks busy and delightful. The experience surpassed the aestics. Good old fashioned manners and service at this delightful place with nothing slopped down in front of you without a even a smile. Wonderful experience. Thank you.

If you're looking for a great quality, good value, relaxed breakfast this is the place to go. The service is consistently friendly and welcoming. After visiting here 4 times I'm treated like a regular and welcomed with a smile and greeting. The value of food vs price is spot on and it's fresh and carefully cooked with care. There is a lightweight ambience with quiet catchy music and a wide window view of the outside world walking by.

I love coming in this place! Staff is very friendly, food and coffee is of great quality and there are lots of options in the menu. Plugger under each seat, so you can charge your devices if you choose to come and work from there. Best value for money in the area!

We had an espresso with oat milk, and it was one of the best coffees I've had in a long time. It was made by Funda, a very professional barista with a beautiful smile. We were served by Onur, a pleasant and welcoming person. We highly recommend this place.

I came in here after being refused service in Trading Post next door (they wouldn't accept cash). So on I walked to Boudica who had a working till!! The coffee and cake were great, so all worked out for the best. I'm glad I found this place.

Edit. I recently been in for some food and it was unbeatable, hair in food, dust everywhere. Alder seen how kitchen staff (not front of house)cleaning faces from the steps after elderly customer and go back to cooking. Owners wife argued with customers, slow and not interested of client waiters. I will never go back there!!!!! Prev comment. Delicious creative food, can’t wait to come back and taste more. Friend staff, amazing chef’s. Highly recommend tapas small please idea, helpful to have everything what I really want to eat with reasonable prices. Definitely 5 star is not enough for this beautiful experience :)

I just ate here with my toddler and i immediately needed to write a review as the service was amazing, the breakfast was lush and to the man who served us and was so patient and kind with my toddler who broke a glass and splashed smoothie everywhere, Thankyou so much for making what could’ve been a stressful moment very easy. Also offering to make us another smoothie was so lovely too. Just generally good vibes and great food. Highly recommend this place!

Another beautiful discovery with great food. I was looking for a place that opened early for breakfast and found this one. The staff was very friendly and showed me the menu, which included not only the typical Full English breakfast but also some Mediterranean alternatives. When I arrived early in the morning, it was quite empty with only a couple of customers inside, but it soon started to get busy. I ordered egg shakshuka, which was superb. If I'm around again, I will definitely go back. It is also a dog-friendly place.

This establishment offers excellent WiFi connectivity, ample power outlets for charging, and delightful coffee. The service is both efficient and friendly, contributing to a lovely atmosphere overall.

It's a great place to study, super calm and with a great atmosphere. The almond "croissant" was disappointing but not bad, plus, everything else we ate was super tasty.

If you want tea or coffee and watch the world go by then this is a very good place to have a hot drink and something sweet and sticky to eat

We went to Boudica on NYE for breakfast. The atmosphere, the service and the food were excellent. The best sausage ever and perfected browned all over, lovely sourdough toast, really tasty shakshuka and great coffee. We will be back.

Went in for a pastry and a coffee and tea. Absolutely brilliant. The bloke who runs it is magic. Fresh croissant was lovely as was the coffee. Why can’t more places be like this.

Lovely food although my scrambled eggs did need a little more seasoning. My friend's ceasar salad was perfect as was the carrot cake!

Popped in for brunch today and our main choices were lovely and tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive. Really let down by the side of hashbrowns at a cost of over £5 for 3 we were expecting homemade ones not ones we can buy ourselves frozen in a bag for £1.60, Really disappointed.

Terrible - I had the Boudica breakfast which was served cold - cold beans cold mushrooms cold toast cold sausage and Luke warm bacon - the hash brown was sizzling hot clearly the breakfast was ready and they had to wait for has brown - when I told the waitress this she gave me a muffled half apology and proceeded to get my bill without further acknowledgment of the poor breakfast - I paid and left without a goodbye - will not visit this overpriced poor quality establishment again - far better options in Brighton.

One of the best pancakes I have ever had. Very moist and fluffy with a bit of crunch on the outside. Lovely atmosphere and staff.

Great place, very hospitable, and you can enjoy your evening cup of coffe, i would like the kind staff for providing me an extra cake, they are just generous. Hope to come back and enjoy the great atmospher again.

Nice, airy atmosphere with big, light windows. Quite popular and frequented by coffee and foodlovers, both local and passing through. Cappuccino good - a decent bean obviously. Now they are staying open later it seems, with a selection of cocktails. Reccomend.

Unfortunately when I ordered a vegan cake it smelled really bad as if it had gone off. Got my money back but was told it wasn’t off it was just the smell of the cake… Either way won’t be going back again.

This is my favourite cafe in Brighton & Hove! The coffee and cake is exceptional and they do delicious breakfasts and lunches too. The people are beautiful in spirit and create a friendly and cheerful vibe that keeps me coming back in the week to grab peaceful moments during my crazy work days - and at the weekend to chill out with my boyfriend over brunch. 5/5 all day.

Used to be nice but horrible experience today :( the food stinks, literally had a really bad smell, I suspect they used some dirty towel to dry the cutlery and dishes leaving a horrible smell in it. The iced latte was watery. Some staff look like they never worked in a cafe before, cashier was unfriendly and unhappy. The first two times I went some month ago it was very nice, read some recent reviews and confirmed it has deteriorated, very sad :(

I had a beautiful brunch here today! The staff were really warm, helpful and friendly. The loo was immaculate aswell hehe.

Lovely place and staff but the food needs some oomph. I'm sorry but I can do better at home. Visually and in taste, our dishes were bland and overpriced. Cakes are great. Wish you all the best.

I am a big fun of English cooked breakfast and wanted to treat myself. Overall food was ok but not the best. It wasn’t that expensive and the restaurant has a nice display and it is very bright which makes the place cozy. There are different food option ( sweet, savoury and pastries) and it’s big so plenty of tables.

Nice atmosphere, very modern with lots of green 🌿 (and clean)! A fair selection of different teas and coffee blends - my coffee was lovely - and a variety of deli style sandwiches and baked goods. Seems as if they cater to GF, VG pretty well also. Would definitely recommend this place and will return!

Dog friendly, lovely chilled music & smoothies

This place looks very nice but that's about it . Been here 3 times and won't be coming back . The staff has a really bad attitude, everytime we asked for something they went back behind the counter looking at us, giggling making us feel really uncomfortable. This happened at least twice on different occasions. The food its overpriced for what you get. There are much better places to go in Brighton where I don't have to feel awkward when asking for something. Work on your costumer service skills!

First visit after a bit of shopping and thought I would try something different, wonderful place

This place is lovely inside The food looks amazing The coffee was nice and I had a superb victiria sponge..I think we may have visited on an off day as we were advised of a few problems when we had to chase our drinks for the table and we had to return the lemon drizzle due to dry /stale taste...it was a hot day it felt like it had dried out Overall I imagine it's a really great experince as I say we just dropped a bit unlucky athough as indicted the lady dud apologise and Chad our drinks and exchange our cake without challenge wimhich was appreciated and I think that's worth alot when your nit hapoy a place that understands .. I'm not big on returning food so ot was good they accepted this.

Ordered and sat for half hour for a coffee. That never came . Finally cancelled. It seems like the people working there don’t want to be there .

What a delightful breakfast just before pride parade! The service is quick and nice. The girls are all courteous and kind despite it is very busy. Full English breakfast for a very affordable price. And includes edible flowers as a decoration. Will definitely come back!

Great coffee and great selection of cakes and pastries.

Definitely a sit and chill-out, kind of café. The food is excellent, with plenty of choice to go with your coffee or tea. Either as I quiet spot to work from or a place to have a good chat with friends, Boudicca is recommended.

Been here a few times and had a nice meal, on this occasion, they got our order wrong, and had to wait to long for the beans to be bought out. However when they did arrive it’s was a total insult to the lack of beans that was in the tiny pot. I would estimate 15 or so, there was more brown source in the separate dish they provided. It’s a shame that standards tend to slip

A very disappointing first experience, I had the SUNNY SIDE UP , £8.90, which the menu advertise as "Two fried eggs, avocado mash, sourdough bread,roasted cherry tomatoes". What did I get instead? Two fried eggs, pieces of avocado, white dry bread and two sad raw cherry tomatoes. I read on one of the reviews from 4 weeks ago that someone had a similar experience and the cafe promised they will address this issue with the kitchen staff, but they either forgot or simply do not care. I do agree that the plate shows lack or passion or interest for food or hospitality experience which is sad for a cafe with a nice location and atmosphere. The staff seem friendly but also show a lack of training or direction as we saw a couple of tables with dirty dishes on our arrival and no one had bothered to clear it up when we left.

Absolutely rubbish... coffees took nearly an hour to arrive!, dirty tables, useless staff. Bringing out food and drink to those that arrived after us.. don't go there!

Forget the order. Had to ask multiple times to find out where it was. Expensive place.

My partner and I came here to work remotely for the day and it was a wonderful experience. - The wifi is fast (~10 mbps download and upload) and there are power outlets for nearly every seat along the wall. - Lots of seating and tons of natural light. - Clean bathroom downstairs. They could check on it more often to resupply the toilet paper (but are very nice if you request it) - The customer service is really nice and professional. You order at the front and they bring it to your table. - Food was so good, maybe the best I've had in the UK. The shakshuka was the best we've ever had, the flavoring was excellent and I'm pretty sure they use real tomatoes instead of canned tomatoes. They also added eggplant which made it unique. The vegetarian English breakfast was good but could have used some condiments on the side such as butter, mayo, ketchup or some sort of sauce or pickled veggies. Chai latte was delicious. I love that their hot drinks came out really hot so it stayed warm for a good while. - It would be nice to have a space that's quieter and dedicated to work/phone calls. They have this section on the left when you walk in that would seem like a good place for it but there was a loud group that came in which made it hard to work. Overall, one of our favorite cafes to work remotely/hang for the day and we will definitely come back here next time we swing through Brighton.

Is a really lovely space, but if coffee is your thing, don't bother. Had a burnt cortado. They used small batch beans and somehow manage to ruin them lol

If you have any allergies, I wouldn’t risk it. They don’t want to cater to them so not worth the chance!

Lovely brunch with hints of Middle Eastern flavours

Sadly, having a food here haven't met my expectation. I ordered a meal (very simple one) called Sunny side up. It was served pretty fast, you would think this is a positive fact, but when I received the plate all I could see was lack of the chef interest. It was 2 fried eggs served on totally dry toasted piece of bread, 1/8 of avocado on side plus 2 raw pieces of small cherry tomatoes. On the positive side, now I know where not to go.

Sadly not the experience I was hoping for. Ordered the eggs florentine, there was quite a wait for food (about 20-25 minutes) despite the cafe being pretty quiet. The food arrived but it had salmon on which I don’t eat as I’m allergic to it. The friendly waiter apologised and offered a new one. The ‘new’ one arrived promptly however it tasted of salmon. When I asked if they’d just removed the salmon off the original order they didn’t confirm nor deny, but it was quite obvious that is what had happened. I asked for a refund. This is pretty appalling practice and I’m so disappointed as I was looking forward to my first visit to Boudica. But there seems to be little consideration for dietary requirements and allergies here.

Coffee was excellent, but I'm afraid the croissant was microwaved to warm it, followed by eggs benedict which were inedible. I am certain it was an off day because the pictures of their food look lovely online, the way in which the manager dealed with our complaint was top knotch, and it's the reason I will give them another try.

Loved this place. Conveniently placed near Taj and Waitrose in Hove minutes walk to the seafront. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Really friendly and helpful staff, even offered to connect me to her personal phone WiFi when I saß struggling to connect, without being asked. Delicious panini with lovely salad, and fresh lemonade. Will definitely return

Lovely place, great food and staff is lovely :) I really liked the variety of food they serve. We saw someone having eggs & soldiers and thought is was lovely, because where else can you find such a treat? We tried the Turkish coffee, the americano and latte and they were all great. We also had the Tunisian Orange cake which is one of the best ones I’ve ever had. Quite enjoyed that they have plugs under the benches, if you want to come and work from it and it’s dog friendly. Really recommend it ☺️

I had an amazing experience in this cafe! People who work there had a great energy, the place has so much light, and plants. The tap water has a bit of mint inside it, which is a small point but makes a difference. The granola and yogurt was great. Prices are okay. And there are plenty of sockets + wifi.

This place serves amazing organic self-made foods and has delicious breakfasts, as well as cold pressed juices which I just love! Highly recommend, especially if you’re new to the area and want to bring your friends or family to a lovely cafe - this is the one.. Also, they always have fresh flowers (tulips) at every table which definitely adds to the whole atmosphere. Overall, very nice! 💞

I used to really enjoy this coffee shop but lately the service is extremely slow, I do appreciate they’re a busy cafe, however notice that you’ll be waiting 10 minutes for a drink would be nice to mention when queuing . Lovely staff, lovely coffee! Just a bit of a wait

If you are looking for the home made taste and quality food with the original coffee taste you are at the right place with a great customer service always welcoming with a big smile and respect, try the special menu of the day behind the counter it is the best, so I went today and tried the shakshoka and it was so tasty diffidently I will come Back again to try the rest 👍

Really good place to come to in the morning before the rush starts up, good to find a lot of things already ready to have with lots of space and a few good views out over the street area. Near to both other shops and bus stop areas, have bought friends in on some days and will come back another time when here

Nice venue but the service on a weekend when it was busy was very slow. We waited half hour for brunch before giving up & leaving. Coffee wasn't the best either.
