Excellent coffee & tasty, freshly made bacon bap with prompt, cheerful service!

Such a charming café with a cozy vibe! While we didn’t make a reservation, we were lucky to snag a table by the window definitely a spot worth hoping for! The hot chocolate was comforting, and the desserts were enjoyable, though not extraordinary. So, a lovely place to relax and indulge in a sweet treat with a beautiful atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Decent Eggs Benedict. The eggs were nicely cooked and the ham was okay, but the English muffin was actually just a bread roll cut in half, and the spinach was raw which was a bit odd. It was still nice overall though.

Café Coho is a little gem in Brighton! They serve amazing coffee and a delicious selection of pastries. Breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!

A lovely venue. A really nice large mug of coffee and very lucky to get the tastiest gluten-free cake I’ve had in a long time staff very helpful. Also, Very reasonable

The cafe is nice but very tight and small, the coffee and eggs were really good, service is nice.

What an asset to this part of town! My partner and I came here on our first date 5 years ago and returned for our 5th anniversary and were not disappointed. Staff made a fuss of us and we had lovely food. Cakes lovely too. Cannot fault this place and will be returning many times to come!

Sandwhich was amazing and crispy. Coffees and hot chocolates were all good too. Brilliant and fairly priced

Staff were great, food was absolutely spot on. ONLY negative was it was cold. Really cold day and had to sit there with my coat on.

En Brighton para el Año Nuevo, fuimos dos veces. Como pareja el café era muy bienvenido en un ambiente animado y agradable. Gran ubicación para la gente mirando por la ventana delantera! El desayuno de Año Nuevo con la familia al día siguiente fuera del viento y la lluvia era igualmente bueno con porciones generosas de comida fresca y café. Sin duda ahora nuestro favorito para cuando próximo junto al mar. ¡Volveremos!

Lovely cafe . Good quality breakfast not cheap but at least it was very good. No automatic service charge which is a nice rarity these days and therefore I can tip what is appropriate

Lovely for a quick coffee and snack

Tables and chairs were disgusting. Ordered a roll but nothing on the menu was mentioning it was brioche roll. Way too sweet with the sweet chilli sauce. Couldn't eat it.

Just ate here, dirty tables and chairs. Food wasn't what we ordered, bread roll was in fact a brioche roll. Had to pay a mandatory tip when we ordered, just like in USA. Won't be going here again. Avoid

The staff are friendly, an early breakfast is available, and it's so delicious.

Cozy café with many choices and a nice environment.

This place was a joy to eat at. Buzzing downstairs and chilled upstairs, so somewhere for all. My Arabian Buttered Eggs were absolutely delicious, my only slight criticism was that the eggs were partially set, but that did not take away from it being one of the tastiest breakfasts I’ve ever had. My kids/hubby had the pancakes which were also delicious. We very nearly ate elsewhere but felt the Coho had a much better selection of breakfast options on the menu. Thoroughly recommend. Oh and don’t forget to order the Invisible Toast to help Brighton’s homeless.

In my efforts to try as many coffees in Brighton during my two days visit, had breakfast here. Loved the decor / style and outdoor terrace and menu choice but I have had much better coffee elsewhere (my flat white came in a way too big cup), and scrambled eggs were ok but a little too wet for my personal taste. Still, great service and location are worth stopping by for sure

I am still sat outside this wonderful cafe as I am writing this review. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The atmosphere outside was great…but the Brie & Bacon toastie with oodles of cranberry sauce was DELIGHTFUL.

Really excellent flat white, and pleasant to sit outside.

Had a great cup of coffee here while walking around the Lanes. The service was good & they had clean toilets.

Nos sentamos fuera y el ambiente era muy agradable. No estaba demasiado lleno y era un gran lugar para sentarse y charlar. Tenemos café y huevo revuelto en tostadas. El café era muy bueno, lo volvería a conseguir! El huevo revuelto en las tostadas también era precioso y tampoco tuvimos que esperar demasiado (aunque no parecía demasiado ocupado cuando llegamos). El personal era muy amable y servicial. Tampoco había ninguna gaviota tratando de robar nuestra comida, así que parece que es un lugar seguro para comer fuera.

Staff definitely made this place. Ate here twice during our stay, both times service and food was lovely. Simple menu, but I definitely recommend 👌

I don’t think I’ll return to this cafe. The drinks and pastries were very expensive and not very good. My pan au chocolate in particular was dry and tasted slightly stale. The juice was good but I would encourage to ask for it with ice. The outside area isn’t the best and the chairs and tables were uncomfortable.

Matcha era el lugar en y lo mejor que hemos probado y el café era fabuloso también. La música era súper genial y en tendencia. Visitamos dos veces durante nuestra visita a Brighton.

Café Coho es consistentemente confiable con el personal amable y una selección de dios de comer. Mi queja adolescente es que los clientes están constantemente pidiendo la contraseña WiFi. Sería más fácil para todo lo que estaba en el menú o mostrado.

Street cafe, very cool vibe, food cooked to order, outdoors tables are nice but watch out for overhead Gulls. Reasonable prices.

The Arabian eggs were incredible! The coffee is in a really big cup which is perfect for enjoying and savouring slowly!! Much better than a tiny coffee from some places. Great location and staff!

I met my daughter and her friend there for breakfast but, sadly there were no vegan options for me (unless I wanted a flapjack). I had coffee and my daughter and her friend had their breakfasts which they reported were fine. Nice enough place for coffee, but minimal vegan options.

Food was very tasty and coffee good with quick service. However, felt very overpriced and portion sizes were very small for what we paid.

Fabulous breakfast brunch at the Ship street branch. Seek out the Arabian eggs bloody marvellous!! Also the Hariss eggs Benedict were amazeballs !! Try the almond bakewell and the Tunisian orange cake with excellent coffee !!

Went early to get a nice breakfast before having to check out our hotel, sat there for 45 minutes and worried as check-out time was approaching went to ask how much longer we have to wait for our food, only to be informed by staff they lost our ticket. Apologies were given and was told they would refund our entire order as they should, however, when given the receipt it showed they only refunded the food not the drinks despite the fact we sat in there for an hour with no one checking on us. Poor service is not the right words, wasted our morning.

Amazing service, great good and very good coffee. Highly recommend 👌 My wife, brother and I visited here during the honeymoon with my wife. We had an unfortunate situation with the local seagulls carpet bombing us while we were sitting outside in the alfresco. The staff looked after us very well to help clean up. And of the food that we did get to eat, very delicious!

This is a nice coffee shop in Brighton, their sandwiches are always really good, I haven't had the chance to try their pastries but they always look very apetising. The coffee is great, I find the teas a little bit expensive, considering other coffee shops offer you a tea pot along with a tea filled mug which makes it a little bit more worth what you're paying for. The tea costed me £3 and it wasn't even filled to the top. Apart from that everything else is great. The food is tasty and they give you GREAT portions for what you're paying. The staff is also super friendly and fast. I've been here a few times and I'll definetly come again as I do really like this place. The location is also great, very central, close to the sea front as well, and pretty much in town.

it was a poor experience in such a nice looking cafe on a lively street with pathetic and upsetting experience of having such a stale and dried piece of cafe with tea like hot water without any taste.It spoiled the evening and mood long awaiting evening tea on a holiday.

Busy, atmospheric cafe with a “local” feel and friendly, efficient service. I had Turkish Eggs which were delicious, with loads of yoghurt and spinach, with two perfectly poached eggs, just the right amount of chilli and two pieces of flat bread. My wife enjoyed her eggs royal, too. And the coffee was perfect, too!

Beautiful experience at Coho Cafe. Very friendly and welcoming place, with chilly music and good vibes. The food is really good and research the quality and the natural taste. They pay attention to the allergies and to the diets of everyone. All breakfast menus are very good 👍 They serve matcha tea and other good teas Espresso could be better and the space could be better

Absolutely lovely food! These were the best pancakes and eggs royale that me and my boyfriend have ever had!

Bad service: “it’s you, the customer.” It turns out they lost the order and asked us to proof we paid. Given the choice available in Brighton I advise you to go elsewhere.

Just reviewing the coffee. I ordered a flat white. It didn’t seems like a flat white. Was weak and mostly milk, in a large cup. Consistency too was not great.

Long waiting times, really bad coffee blend and dirty coffee cups. Our single espressos were served in Flat whites glass cups, which to us it looked like left over coffee in dirty cups. We couldn't believe that we were being served those! We won't be back and I won't recommend it.

Really disappointed by my experience in cafe coho today. Really sad to see the staff act rudely to a visually impaired couple. They did not accommodate or show any care for their needs. No guidance, support or kindness - it was surprising to see. Not to mention the overall attitude of the staff in there is rude anyway - creates an unwelcoming and ‘off’ atmosphere.

Got one coffee (pretty decent) and 4 cakes for my family - 2 were old and dry and had clearly been there too long and the other 2 were not as moist as you's expect. To charge nearly £25 for it is extremely disappointing considering the options available i would strongly recommend going elsewhere

Came for breakfast due to the good reviews. Ordered a cheese and ham toasty and pancakes for my wife. Hers was nice and big portions. They had forgotten mine as my wife had finished hers when I was offered a very overcooked toasty. They tried again but rushed it as it was a half cooked attempt this time. It tasted awful. Had to get a refund. Such a shame. Left hungry and disappointed.

This place is Ok. Food: It is clear that the ingredients for food are fresh. My Fiancé had the breakfast but half of it was cold, I had the bacon roll and opted to add avocado. The amount of avocado added for extra £3 was ridiculous. I could barely taste it. Service: we felt like an inconvenience to the service team. The cutlery was chucked down in front of us, no offer of condoments or napkins and just left to it. I would not visit here again.

Me and my friend ordered coffees but they were cold and not good. I have heard many things about this coffee but it was a huge disappointment for us.

My wife and I stumbled quite by chance across Cafe Coho in need of some lunch. We both ordered a blue cheese sausage roll, hot drinks, and a chocolate brownie. Food was reasonably priced and very tasty. Would recommend.

For the second time, today I brought my mother in her wheelchair to the cafe to be turned away. Owing to her health conditions you can appreciate it takes a lot of effort to get her out the house and it rarely happens. Twice now we have arrived before the kitchens advertised closing time (3.30pm on a weekday) expecting and needing cooked food to be told the kitchen is closed. No explanation as to why its been closed early (I could ofc understand an unforeseen breakdown of equipment etc) and surly delivery and no apology from the staff. Also, due to her wheelchair and the narrow premises it takes a lot of negotiating to get her into position - both times its been basically empty and we've been looking at and discussing the printed hot food menu (which has been left on the tables both times in spite of none of it apparently being available) where again staff could have kindly intervened and not waiting til I've come to the counter to order. Both times we've then had to reverse the difficult process of settling my mother and her chair (not that I expect it but also with no assistance in or out. Just rude comments regarding the space we are taking up). We won't come back and try again.

Cosy, bustling café in a handy location in south lanes. Excellent hot chocolate and cakes. A little pricey but decent quality. They get very busy and there can be a bit of a wait for service at these times but staff are friendly and efficient. Go-to place when i’m in town.

Staff were lovely and it’s a nice vibe! My fiancé got the Eggs Benedict and thoroughly enjoyed it but I got the pancakes and bacon and it was a little boring - could have used some banana or fruit perhaps… the coffee was delicious though and the chai latte rocked my world ❤️

Coffee okay. As a kiwi, please don't advertise a long black and then make an Americano (they are different!). Super tasty pastries. Relaxed atmosphere apart from the girls behind the counter talking very, very loudly about life dramas- felt like I was intruding on their personal time rather than enjoying a coffee at a cafe.

My partner and I love this rustic café, great staff, food especially the flat white ☕️😋 ..My partner has a few food intolerances and staff always go that extra mile to accommodate him..Highly recommend 👌

Cafe Coho ia a popular cafe situated in Ship Street Brighton. It has seating inside and on the street outside. Some of the inside is up some very narrow stairs. It has a menu for breakfast, lunch and snacks all at reasonable prices. Tea and Coffee and other drinks are available too. Table service is available. Toilets are available but they are up the stairs.
