Didn't have food so can't rate! Atmosphere was amazing the staff were friendly! Most importantly the drinks were incredible!

Great brunch with friends with live Jazz. Fabulous music, lovely food, including Vege and gluten free options. Great cocktails and friendly service. A lovely atmosphere.

My favourite cocktail spot in Leicester, great bottomless brunch and and all round great vibe on an evening.

10 minutes before getting served and at least another 15 mins before the drinks arrived. I only sat and waited because my mate felt really uncomfortable about leaving after ordering.

Nice place to meet with friends and family

Booked a table in advance. Turned up on time and still had to wait 20 minutes outside. When eventually seated, took a further 20 minutes to take our order, then another delay until drinks arrived. I emailed to complain and had a reply which sounded like they didn't really care. Won't be visiting again.

Shocking slow service, 30 mins to get a drink, when finally a drink arrived it was wrong, took ages to grab the attention to advise, some arrogant guy comes and disputes our order, Looks pretty but that about it,

Arrived and led to a table upstairs, 5 stars... Informed someone would take our drinks order. 5 stars....... 20 minutes later one of us had to go downstairs to find someone to take our order, apologies were made but too late to make a difference. Immediately after our drinks arrived from a staff member with attitude and no eyecontact...here's your drink, and here's yours leaving swiftly.... a minute later someone else arrived and asked if we needed anything... the mind boggles..... won't bother again...

Always love visiting here but tonight was awful - didn’t appreciate the sarcastic rude remarks from the front of house because we didn’t book a table. Will think twice about having a drink here again - a table was available for us as we had a small party but don’t want the rude comments next time to be honest.

I attended the Jazz event last night at the Bottle Garden. I spent a very pleasant evening, with good music and great service. I will review my experience below. At my arrival, I was greeted and guided by staff, who kindly endeavoured to accommodate my booking request. The lady was attentive and caring, and really looked after us. Staff was courteous and friendly. More importantly, they were extremely polite and helpful. The atmosphere was ideal for a Jazz event. The event, situated in a cosy and arty environment, contributed to the very enjoyable experience. Decor and tapestry were crafted to convey a shabby chic style. Lighting and tapestry, in particular, were arranged in a complimentary fashion: a jazz background really increased the positive vibes and atmosphere. Finally, drinks and food. Drinks and appetizers were enjoyable. The plate of bread and olive oil sauce, however, could've been developed to deliver an even better combination of food and drinks. Adding olives and toasting the bread (bread was soft plain white) would've added a final punch to the plate. Overall, it was a graceful evening, with good music and great service. I'd recommend this place.

Visited today for their Bottomless Brunch. Choice of house gin and mixers or prosecco, as much as you can drink in 90 minutes. Think our group of four ladies did it justice !!! Choice of around 6 boards of food included in price of £30 all in.Expected the board of food to be mini but how wrong. The cheese board was amazing Stilton, Italian cheese, brie, Red Leicester, pickled onions , gherkins, salad leaves, onion chutney, selection of crackers. The flat breads were equally good. The staff were attentive and pleasant. First visit and really impressed.

This place gave us our bottomless brunch on prepaid booking. Never offered the food after repeated requests. In the end we stumbled out paying only for the prosecco, well into the afternoon, on empty stomachs. I cannot fully express how thoroughly unprofessional and inconsiderate a service this establishment provided today.

I only ordered a café. It was as good as the baristas' brew. Great live Jazz music. Recommended.

I popped in on a Thursday late afternoon just in time for the happy hour. The bar was calm and quiet with only three tables of customers, including me. More people started to come in at 5pm. Nice drink! I had an old fashioned, woo! The vibe was so laidback and the playlist was great. It was Bee Gees and some other disco songs. Table service, and toilets are upstairs.

A sharing platter, cocktails and 90s music, what's not to love!

I have visited The Bottle Garden many times, so I do like it for drinks, food, ambience, etc. However, the lack of a phone number is a very irritating and problematic issue. The only contact is by email. For a booking request, expect to wait at least a couple of days for a yes or no. Then, should you have any need to contact them again, it’s back to the email, and a further wait. On the day, as happened with us on Saturday, should you have any problem, you can’t let them know. We were caught in a childcare issue, followed by unexpected traffic getting into town, and I wanted to let them know we were on our way, but that we would be about 20 minutes late. Obviously my email was not going to be read at that time, so when we got there, our table had been given to another group. We were 8 people, so this was a major issue. A simple phone call would have saved us and then a great deal of stress. Please, just add a phone number like every other establishment does.

We, my wife, and my self haven't been out in the city of Leicester for some time, and I suggest we go out find a cocktail bar in the centre of town for a quick drink 🍸. We were very impressed with this place and we decided to stay and have a few drinks 🍸 and we had a good time here and we would definitely recommend this place and we'll revisit this place again soon.

A very elegant and well decorated venue for cocktails. Average cocktail was £9 each , no strict dress code but most people were smart casual dressed . Not great for you ales or larger, but plenty of prosecco and Gins. Advise booking a table in advance.

The manager is very racist and didn’t wanna see us,they don’t allow asians inside and the gaurd was absolutely rude.

First time coming to The Bottle Garden - The staff were rude, customer service was poor, and service was extremely slow but then the waitress was pushy to order drinks. We were sitting near the door and they refused to close the door when asked as it was cold “as it gets warm inside when asked by another couple they did it straight away. The music was inconsistent. Not a good impression.

A good place to grab a cocktail at the end of a busy day shopping and sightseeing.

They advertise for kitchen staff below minimum wage they also expect the kitchen staff to be glass collectors & barbacks aswell as preparing customers food !!!! The council health & hygiene will have a issue with this as all kitchen staff need to wear chef whites at all times !! I missed the pot washing thats also expected on a slavery wage !!!

Not a bad place limited choice of liquor

Popped in for a couple of drinks before meeting other friends. Stunning atmosphere. Server really friendly and welcoming. Cocktails lovely and good quality. Only downside tried to return later to show our friends but all tables fully booked. Would come again!

Awful experience. I went here with a group of friends from uni having a reunion in Leicester. After 2 rounds of drinks (which were not cheap) we were told by a blonde waitress to be quiet despite not being particularly loud - just having a good time! This made us feel extremely uncomfortable and we genuinely felt the need to leave as the people around us had hear the conversation! As I settled the bill, a different server apologised for the other waitress’ behaviour and unsurprisingly knew exactly which waitress had spoken to us so rudely. We have been to Bottle Garden many times and this is first time we have been treated in such a way. I do not think either me or any of my friends will be returning following this incident. If you’d like to have a fun time, do not go to the Bottle Garden!

Disappointing. We had booked a table for which we were 10 minutes late. Neither of us live in Leicester and we were a little lost. We had tried to ring but no phone number is advertised. On arrival the server told us, "just for future reference we only hold tables for 5 minutes" before seating us in the half empty bar! Appalling welcome, what bad customer service. Cocktails were fine, but nothing special given the exclusive atmosphere they are trying to create. I will not be back and will recommend to others they don't bother. Go somewhere with a friendly welcome.

Been treated better in prison, takes drinks orders (x10) at 6.38 and sends the doorman up at 7pm to kick everyone out . Staff rude, service slow, drinks poor. Better bar 4 doors down. Don’t brother 🙂

Cannot recommend this enough! Fabulous place food was amazing loved the style of the bottomless brunch! There were 8 of us and the staff were excellent Dee was our main waitresses she was very good and always topping our glasses up as soon as they were empty! Can’t wait to come again! Went here yesterday, were in Leicester for a birthday weekend and wanted to find a nice place in the afternoon for drinks and nibbles. We had actually eaten elsewhere before we came across this as we just went to the first place we could find, but I wish we had waited until we got here as the food looked lovely. Nice atmosphere and busy but staff very attentive and helpful. We had a few rounds of drinks and could have happily stayed longer but would had to get back to the hotel as we had a dinner reservation. I read a review further down about not going if you're 40+, I think that person must have gone on an off day as our group of four were all 40+ and we felt very welcome. Would definitely come back here if in Leicester again.

My friends and I had a fabulous bottomless brunch today at the Bottle Garden. Marie looked after our needs and the food was fabulous. We will definitely be going back again

Came here for a late night drink and loved the atmosphere It was very busy inside and out but we managed to get seated indoors. The interior is decorated with lots of tiny lights and greenery, a large window seat at the front let's the outside in There are quite a lot of high tables in the centre with stools around them, but if you prefer a chair there are a few tables with lower seating around the edge. Loved the menu as it has classics but quite a few signature ones ... I had my favourite espresso martini and my other half enjoyed a large G&T ... lovely staff and a really nice end to the evening 😊

We walked by bottle green bar and thought about getting a table when a male waiter (a bit of a queen, sassy and very rude) said ergh we have no spaces we are a very popular bar! And if you don't have a reservation you won't get in! Both my friend and I were taken back by his aggressive and sassy manner. So were the many people sitting outside with shocked faces. Clearly a training need, it's a bar in Leicester not the Shard in London which is my usual hang out so really the staff need to come down a peg or twelve. I won't be coming back here not even with a reservation.

Situated in St.Martins Sq. No parking so I get a lift in (and out). Indoor/outdoor seating. Clean and beautifully decorated. I've never eaten there. Staff are really lovely. Great atmosphere and a pleasure to visit. Definitely worth a visit!!

Really lovely place to go! The atmosphere is good and the staff are welcoming and polite. It would usually be a cocktail but as now pregnant the mocktail was pretty darn good and felt like a treat!

Away with work at the moment in Leicester, but trying to make the most of the weekend to get some good eating and drinking done in some of the city’s coolest and most recommended hotspots!! First up, the Bottle Garden for lunch!! After a long old week of work and a few late nights - this espresso martini was needed to kick start the weekend! The AntiPasti platter was a perfect accompaniment - warm bread for dipping in balsamic and oil, loads of beautiful cured meat and a smattering (love that word) of hard cheese, rocket and sun dried tomatoes!!! Literally my perfect lunch!!

Visited on a Saturday night booked by my partner. We received a warm welcome and were took to our seats upstairs. Unfortunately we had only been there about 20 minutes when a group of 10 males were seated on a table in the vicinity of ours. Clearly intoxicated and from the off set they were loud, which only made the swearing even harder to ignore. Worse thing was it appeared they were only drinking beers! The table nearest to them which was two couples quickly decided it wasn't for them and left which we assumed was because of how loud it had become. I don't have a problem with a group of lads wanting to go out and enjoy themselves on a Saturday night but when we asked if we could move downstairs and there was no availability we decided to leave. We also got the impression the staff member wasn't really arsed about why we were leaving but at the end of the day, whos going to bring the bar more money in, 10 'Lads Lads Lads' or a couple? More than happy to return if seated downstairs where it was civilised and enjoyable -our drinks were also really good its just a shame we left early.

Lovely place for drinks in the evening. Service is great and staff are friendly. Only complaint is music can be a bit too loud for conversation.

Lovely place and with great vibes and staff! Only issue I had is when visiting during the day, they have no WiFi and no option to take away hot drinks which is frustrating as the place was empty. If you want to attract customers in the day, you should at least have these things available for your customers.

Cosy with friendly staff and nice drinks

Music was a bit loud, hard to have a conversation. Service was a little slow but they were busy. Staff friendly and helpful, drinks were great if a little bit more expensive than other places locally.

In the space of one drink had two homeless people ask for spare change. We were sat outside and the bouncer was watching the whole time. Drink ordered was not available but staff were polite when providing an alternative. Nice place but don’t sit outside.

The Bottle Garden is located in Leicester's St Martin's Square, home to other bars and restaurants. They serve a variety of cocktails and also offer lite bites and nibbles.I cannot speak highly enough of it. Laid back, chilled and a great place for date night or socialising with friends. Staff are attentive and service is excellent.In the current climate, everything is ordered contactless via the QR code link on the tables. It works really well and saves having to queue or wait for service at the bar. On our return visit later that evening we did have an issue ordering but our server said he would manually take our order and bought the card machine up to us to pay which was really good of him.For our first visit of the night, we did book ahead and were shown to our table straight away despite being 15 minutes late. Had a quick couple of drinks before heading off to eat nearby at Giggling Squid. Good choice of cocktails and a superb relaxing environment to unwind in. Can be a little on the pricey side but nothing too excessive compared to other places. Did ask on the way out if they could fit us in after we had our meal and the chap at the door did say it would depend on availability/cancellations. Headed straight back after our meal and he even remembered us. Luckily said he had a table free for us upstairs which is quieter but we were just grateful to be back! A round of shots and a couple of more cocktails and JD and cokes later made for a great night out for the first time in over a year. Really is a great place to hang. Will definitely be coming back and maybe try it out at lunch. Service is excellent and the staff are great. Cannot speak highly enough of The Bottle Garden and its great to see the place full again after what has no doubt been a really challenging time for a lot of small businesses. Get out there and support them!

Great staff and a friendly atmosphere, got that great European cafe culture vibe. The fact that they also gave a lovely homeless lady (whom I chatted with) a cup of coke aswell has totally endeared me to the place! Highly recommend.

Despite having had numerous (bad) dates in this place, I cant help but go back. The Bottle Garden is the perfect romantic, fancy (but not too fancy) and chill date venue, - with a great exit if it's going badly. The interior is so pretty and the cocktails are DELICIOUS. It's slightly on the pricier side but a good place to impress if you want to fit the bill for your man/woman/person. It's definitely worth it!

Spent such a lovely night here early this week.Charming aesthetics with the staff to back it up,the drinks were the icing on the cake. The music really added to the atmosphere and as our night went on it almost made us forget about the pandemic which was wonderful.A thoroughly enjoyable night that we can’t wait to repeat!

After months of being locked away at home a trip to the BG was much needed and we were delighted to see the standard has not slipped.The new app for ordering was seamless, the staff were as friendly as always and our drinks really hit the spot.Glad to see you are still managing in these harsh times!

The man at the door said we had to wait to get in which we did then said go the podium to wait. Then this female came up and we said table for three people, pointed at one in a corner and then I notice other people were leaving at a more suitable table so I said could we sit here, well her masked face was a picture as were her rolling eyes. She then proceeded to explain we had to complete an app well that did me, no idea. She didn't try and help. We just got up and left. You two people do not deserve jobs you were extremely unfriendly. Take a leaf of Gadabouts book the most friendliest people you could wish to meet.

Fantastic evening ! We booked a table at the bottle garden and felt really safe in there. All staff were wearing PPE and you ordered through an app which was great. You take your own drinks off the tray when they are bought to the table and it was really clean. Good choice of drinks and music was great. Had a lovely time. Thank you to all the staff!

Went in with my boyfriend,it was very busy and no one was on the door so we still went in as there was still plenty of seats available. As we got to the top of the stairs, by the door we were met by a shockingly rude waitress. I politely said she could go past first as she had a big tray and all she could say in return was "Who said you could come up here?". The music was very loud and we struggled to hear what she was saying but we could tell she wasn't happy with us as she kept saying "NO! who let you up here?" and blocked us from getting past the door. My boyfriend explained no one was at the door and she replied by saying "fine then theres a table at the back ,sit there" whilst she gave us a facial expression as if we were something she just stepped in . She made me and my boyfriend feel very unwelcome and kept walking past us not taking are order and shaking her head at us. So i told my boyfriend i wanted to leave and we went Haycock and tailbar instead and were treated a lot better .I get this bar is very popular but there is no excuse to treat costumers as if your too good to serve them. Never met a waitress so unprofessional and rude and by the sounds of other reviews seems as others have had similar run ins with this particular waitress.
