Burgers are incredible. Best I’ve had I recon. The people there are really friendly and can’t do enough for you. Best place I’ve been for food in a long time.

Honestly the nicest burger I’ve ever had. I got the boring burger and everything in it was perfection. The staff working are so lovely too! they appreciate the wait times as it’s so popular and gave us free water which was so kind. I hope they open more restaurants. Will definitely come back!

Now I’m not one usually for a Google review… but unfortunately a 2hr wait with no clear system to know when/if your food is ready is not a great customer experience - topped off by the order being incorrect after all that time! People will pay once to try it, but won’t return. Burgers were good; best burger I’m not sure that’s what we got (coming from someone who’s tried many of the best rated burger joints at the awards they were finalists for)...possibly due to rush and wrapping up early. Fries order incorrect - ordered katsu, got American which wasn’t even available to order at the time. Good flavour, but seemed like they had been sat waiting for the 2x burgers, so were lukewarm & stuck together. When you set an expectation of ‘the best’, you will be reviewed against that benchmark - and this was disappointing. The wait system… est. 60 minutes written on paper by the self serve tablet. Ordered at 2:37 (thinking past lunchtime rush would be a good idea!). Chef says to come back in 30, after asking whether we should stick around and the QR code giving you only a receipt. We return and the only person you can ask for an update is the doorman - told we need to wait the full 60 mins. So we wait another 30 and very few orders pass out the kitchen during this time. Whilst we didn’t want to continuously check in on our order, you’re left with no way to get an accurate timeframe to leave and come back… We check in with the doorman (feel like he needs a title upgrade as he was the bouncer, front of house, waiter, cleaner?!). We’re told another 10 minutes. Now at this point, waiting the original 60 as per the paper note + 10 seemed reasonable. What is unacceptable is another 50 minutes later with no apology, no communication, no route of refund. In hindsight, I believe the 10 minutes was entirely made up to encourage us to think ‘only a little longer’ and not provoke customers to ask for refunds when they hear the reality of how far behind the kitchen is. We couldn’t bare the thought of going back after finding our order was wrong.. and I’m not convinced we’d have had much in response from the staff. Overall left with a sour experience after routing for a local small businesses success. We’re not complainers, and I’m sure the chefs were hot and exhausted, but the footfall won’t last long once the social hype dies down..

Best burgers well worth the wait

I’ve been everywhere for burgers from London to York and this is one of the best I’ve ever had!!! It was busy but well worth the wait the staff are super friendly. I had my 2 kids and my friend had his two kids and they couldn’t have been more welcoming Will most definitely be returning 🙌

Google opening hours incorrect arrived 2 hours before close to be told no food left there closed despite still clearly being open. Don't waste your time.

One of the best burgers I have had, including at high end places in the US, France and Switzerland. Jamie and his team seem to have cracked the code for the perfect burger. We drove 40 mins and then waited another 30min to receive our order given the rush, but it was worth it,

The best thing here is the bun! The rest really is Boring so it certainly lived up to its name. The queue and ordering system is a complete joke. One self service touch screen till just inside the door and a line outside controlled by a doorman lol. Its TIK TOK material for sure, as the queue drifts down the street creating a road block. When inside, be careful you don't slip over on the greasy floor while trying to refill you bottomless Soda in the tiny space next to the deep fat fryer. The kitchen team chat away to each other like they have all the time in the world, but are disorganised and slow at producing the food, with hardly any orders coming out the kitchen. Demand appears high which creates the buzz, but the queue moves at a snail pace. As anticipation builds, one can only wonder if the place will live up to the hype! Is it really any better than 5 Guys or burger king? The honest truth is that the signature Boring burger was sadly disappointing. The patty was flavorless and unseasoned (nothing like the dry aged flavor you get from some top London burger joints) , the cheese was bog standard processed cheese slices, the pickles didn't even taste pickled, and the signature sauce was watered down cheap mayo with a hint of Korean spice. The best thing about it was the bun! Its a great bun, so congratulations to the bakery who produce the bun, but that's about it. A mouthful of this greasy mess tasted of nothing but processed cheese and cheap mayo. I could hardly taste the beef at all and the apple wood smoked bacon only came through on a couple of bites. The Gochujang Mac n Cheese looked better than it tasted. The flavorless stodge of deep fried pasta in bread crumbs, had a mild Korean spice, virtually no real cheese flavor, but again had that cheap processed sliced orange cheese flavor that also dominated the burger. Give it 6 months and the TIK TOK hype will wear off. Its certainly marketing on social media and not the food that has built the queue here. The review is given in context to the fact that Boring burger is rated as one of the best burgers in the UK, so expectations were high (like when you book a Michelin star restaurant) . In direct comparison to some of London's top street food burger joints, it rates very so so.. On a positive note the price for the burger was reasonable at £12 and it does fill a gap, but I still cannot get my head around chips at £5 a portion!! Good luck.

DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU ARE PLANNING TO AOEND THE ENTIRE DAY IN A QUEUE: It genuinely took over 2 and a half hours to get our 3 burgers and 2 chips… that is unacceptable. It is a kitchen that cannot handle the workload. We showed up at 12:00, payed at around 12:30 and it’s came out at 2:10 and we just received our order… There were genuinely only like 15 people ahead of us in the queue. The issue was that the ticket didn’t go through for an hour, however when my little sister (who is 15) asked where my our order was they snapped at her saying “No you didn’t, don’t lie, you ordered 20 minutes ago. The food will come when it comes.”. They only gave a full refund after my mum had to kick up a bit of a fuss.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Went to try a burger last night after hearing good things and it didn’t disappoint. Seems there are plenty of people that know about it as found out there was a bit of a wait and almost left it, but you can order from Pews Bar a few doors….and you can enjoy a pint (or similar) while you wait. Started with the Ghochujang Mac&Cheese bites…..what a way to start. Crunchy on the outside, soft and delicious on the inside. Perfectly balanced as in most places these kind of things are heavy and stodgy. Not at Boring Burger. The added grating of parmesan over the top gave it a little salty kick that with the ghochujang mayo made this a triumph. On to the main event. This is where it cosmic, and I don’t say that lightly. The Bored of Brisket burger was out of this world. Quality bun, tasty patties and topped off with succulent brisket. I have eaten a lot of burgers in my time and this was the best one. The burger is not the cheapest, but the point here is quality and for that I feel value for money is 5* as well because these is how a burger should taste. Wash all that down with a pint of Aspall cider sitting in the evening sun….difficult to beat!

You know when a place is popular and in demand when they have to close for an hour to take a break and re prepare. Having i line that is half way downbthe street you know this place is somewhere to eat. We waited 2 hours, and it was 100% worth the wait. Food was a 10 out of 10. I ordered everything on the menu 😋

Foods good. Felt like being in faulty towers. They haven’t got a clue what they are doing! Getting the order wrong, amending it and then not having that. If you have the patience of a saint then go for a burger. Burgers are nowhere mear good enough for the shocking service though so I would steer clear

The food is delicious. I’d give this place 5 stars if I didn’t have to wait 40 minutes for my food. I went back the following weekend at around 9.10PM and it was another 40 minute wait so decided to eat elsewhere.

Burgers were good - not the best - but decent. But we were among the first there and still had a FIFTY SIX minute wait, even after a 14 min queue. Then had to go and sort of stand over them to get the food (maybe because they were doing deliveries?!? Dunno) Anyway, food handed over, no apology, no explanation.

Had the Boring burger and a couple of kids meals. The food was fantastic, burger lived up to its expectations. Unfortunately they were all out of chicken tenders and the mac n cheese balls. But the food was soo good we will be coming back to for the other burgers on the menu and hopefully they will have all the other options available to try. The staff were really friendly and recommended some of the sauces to complement their chips. The owner cam out and we had a great chat. Gave lots of insight into the food, the process and his vision. This made the overall experience even better. Kids meal comes with bottomless drinks which was a massive bonus as the kids loved filling up their drinks.

We travelled from Brighton today especially to give this place a try and even though the wait was quite long it was so worth it! Big well done to all the staff there! The quality was insane and the food speaks for itself 🤩

Closed early drove 2 hours to get here

I Love a good burger, and these ones looked awesome. So we travelled an hour and a half, and arrived over three hours before the advertised closing time to be told that they had closed as they had sold out, and we should have checked Instagram. Won’t be coming back.

We drove here on a Sunday, and they had run out of everything by 5pm. Extremely disappointing.

If I can describe in one sentence I’d say ‘Victims of their own success’ The food is incredibly tasty. However the time keeping due to the high demand is not great. We ordered at 12:30 and were told it’s a 40min wait. Turned up at 1:30 and were told another 10min. Patiently walked away and when I came back I was told we need to wait even more. At this point I had to say something and the person at the till asked if we’d rather have a refund- this is not a great operating model. The place was rammed with upset customers shouting and it just felt tense. When we eventually got our order we walked to the castle park and enjoyed it on the grass in peace. To summarise the food is good but not worth the waiting experience so suggest of you go, try and go at a quieter time outside of main meal times. And my feedback to the owners will be to invest in a better time management system which notifies customers when their order is ready to avoid the big crowds and unhappy customers.

We drove from Southampton yesterday to go and try Boring Burger after seeing them on TikTok. We tried 3 different burgers, and made the beef burgers triple. 10/10, the brisket burger was the best we’ve ever had. The staff were absolutely lovely, and the service was really quick. We would definitely come back again.

Amazing burgers that finally have meaning to the popularity of Smash burgers. All the food is really well done including the sides. I love the katsu fries. For me, living in the south west, it is worth travelling to Guildford rather than in to town.

Best burgers in Guildford by a mile. Deliveroo are obviously shocking but I find the homemade buns and even the chicken microwaves really well to heat up (doesn’t require long) and air fry the chips. Love this place.

Come on! Really no veggie burger??

This is a burger like no other. They follow every rule of burger making to the letter. The patty is precisely the size of the bun. The burger is not too stacked. The bun is lightly toasted with a crisp outer and a cloud-like inner. The chips are flavourful and the portion size gives amazing value for money. The Mac and cheese bite is creamy, crispy, cheesy with a slightly sweet edge. This place is a hidden gem and if you're in the mood for a burger then you have to discount all other options except this. It's a phenomenal burger.

I stumbled upon boring burger when on a walk in town with a friend who had come down from London. I found the brand name funny and so came inside just to see how “boring” the food really was. What I didn’t realise was that I had just ordered the best burger of my life. It even surpassed that of Gorden Ramsey Street Burger. I ordered Brisket and added on chicken. The burger was stacked to the brim! The chicken was cooked perfectly, and I mean perfectly, it was so juicy and the brisket was of the highest quality. I was stunned and had to write a glowing review. I’m not normally a one for burgers but I polished the plate and even the bun! Couldn’t recommend any higher, I love this restaurant! The brand, the food, the atmosphere, the staff. EVERYTHING! ❤️ Thank you so much to the boring burger team! 🎉

Can't fault it! Had the Bored of Brisket burger, amazing burger and brisket the bun was great and not squished like Five Guys. Had the katsu fries which were the best I have ever had, absolutely covered in sauce and topping, not just a drizzle of sauce and some spring onions like some other places! A literal tub full of fries so great portion size! Also had a brownie and milkshake, both great. 10/10 for Sid, had a great chat and he is super friendly like the rest of the team. Prices are a tiny bit more than Five Guys but a much better burger and atmosphere, not really comparable! Look forward to going back soon!

Went with my daughter and both had the signature boring burger and shared a portion of the rosemary and garlic fries. It was all delicious and the bottomless drinks at £4 are well worth it on a hot day. The guy in charge was great and really looked after us. Thanks for the ice cream at the end!

Found this little burger joint Boring Burger last night. Stopped off for a meal with friend. Sid the member of staff that helped us with the menu and served us was very nice. The food was amazing! I think that is the best burger I have tasted. I had the signature burger the Boring Burger. Boring it was not. Well done to the team, I will return. Rich.

Checked this place out on Instagram and thought it looked great , number of things on the menu missing so a rocky start , then went to use the toilet!! I judge a place by the cleanliness of the toilet , and unfortunately this was not good 👎🏻 I wish them luck but won’t be returning. Same price as 5 guys but I personally prefer 5 Guys burgers , their Katsu fries were good to be fair ⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me

Located on a quiet back road off of Guildford high street, this burger joint is possibly my new favourite place. The food was insane - I don't think I've ever had a nicer burger in my life. If you can get past the slightly steep prices you will not be disappointed if you come here. All In all for 2 burgers, dirty fries, chicken tenders and 2 drinks it was around £50. The only thing I'd do differently if I attended again would be bringing some wet wipes as there's no clean way to eat Guildford's most boring burger! Staff- 5* Food-5* Price -4*

Made a pilgrimage and glad I did, I couldn't fault any aspect of the boring burger and can see why they made it to the National Burger Awards 2025 Final. Buns are spot on and hold their integrity, beef is well-smashed, the burger sauce is just right and complements the fine-shredded lettuce and onions well. Maybe lacked an extra X-factor to it, but every element was done brilliantly. There was a bit of a wait from our order, but this was because the burgers are made fresh to order

Top tier ingredients tasted good my only grip is where the patty is so thin there’s burnt crust which I don’t usually mind however the burnt taste of the patties over took everything else. This is my opinion i can tell the guys have passion and will be back.

Hands down best smash burger in South east (on par with London outfits). Went on a busy Friday night and honestly the boring burger was delicious. Chips were also very crisp and great portion sizes. Rosemary salt was great. Would recommend.

I have heard that boring burger produce the best burgers around! Unfortunately I never got to try one! After going out for a lovely lunch for my fiancé birthday we decided to grab a burger to go for our evening ahead! The lovely chap taking our order was great, nothing but top quality customer service! However it became clear very quickly that the 3x chefs in the OPEN kitchen didn’t like the gentleman working with them who took my order! After being rude to the their colleague and swearing out loud in front of myself and other customers I then proceeded to wait 40 minutes for 2x takeaway burgers! After getting a notification from my bank saying the payment had been taken 40 minutes ago I asked politely where our burgers were, and was shouted 5 minutes from the chef calling the order by name which was the wrong order…. After 10 minutes I asked for a refund in which the manager was called to speak to me! After thinking I would get somewhere with the manager, a very angry man arrived from back of house who continued to tell me I was wrong! I was told a refund couldn’t be made at the time and that he could not issue me a receipt either. After telling them it was a legal requirement to offer me a receipt he (the manager) miraculously found 1 (which he could not do 5 minutes prior)! Other than the man who served us (who unfortunately I didn’t catch his name) the service was shocking! We left hungry and amazed at level of disregard for their customers!

The food was delicious. We had to wait an hour for 2 burgers and chips. Staff were rushing, working very hard. We saw several orders were missing items. So people had to keep coming back to complain. People with children clearly found it hard. We saw them taking large orders down the road to a pub. This was clearly what was holding things up. Had we known how long it would be, we wouldn't have bothered.

I’d heard a lot about Boring Burger, award-winning, raved about online, supposedly one of the UK’s top burger spots. So naturally, expectations were high. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. Let’s start with the burger itself. Their signature smash burger is decent, but in my case, the patty was overcooked and dry — which really took away from what should’ve been a juicy, flavour-packed bite. Could’ve been a one-off, but still disappointing. The fries? Totally forgettable. Overall, the meal lacked that punch of flavour you’d hope for from a place boasting British Burger Awards credentials. The venue is pretty minimal, a small indoor bar table, a corner table, and most of the seating is outdoors. If the weather’s not playing nice, that’s a bit of a gamble. On the upside, the staff were super friendly and genuinely seemed to care, which does count for something. Maybe I went in with expectations too high , second place at the British Burger Awards sets a certain bar. But for me, this just didn’t hit. It’s an OK burger, sure, but not even close to cracking my top 20 in London. That said, if you find yourself in Guildford, it’s probably the best burger in town. Just don’t expect a life-changing experience.

Won't hurry back. Ordering was a real fuff - impossible to order in person. QR on the table seemed promising , and it was great that it was possible to customise the order alas, it was impossible to add drinks. Ordered through the one tablet inside, which didn't work well and, it turns out added unwanted items but did not show them on checkout. Thankfully the staff noticed it when preparing and issued a part refund. The food arrived very fresh and generous portions but the beef was very salty and the chicken had much to much batter. Overall not a great experience

Burguers are simply the best I ever had (don't tell my wife). Amazing. I went on a sunny Sunday afternoon so I had to wait more than I expected to get served, but it was absolutely worth it.
