Enjoyed a delicious lunch - first time I've tried Romanian cuisine. Absolutely delicious, particularly the lamb and the garlic potatoes. Excellent value too.

This charming pub by the canal is a real find. The service was friendly, with a particularly nice bloke serving us. The ambiance is cozy, and the views are picturesque. A perfect spot for a relaxing drink or meal. We'll be back!

Such a lovely pub and the new landlady is a lovely woman! She came over for a chat with us about the pub and told us about the recent flooding. What a hero looking after all those people during the flooding she deserves an award for that! The pub itself is a lovely place with a great outdoor section on the canal and they do great beer! 100% recommend!

Where do I even start. Lovely spot in Loughborough. Gorgeous pub with a lovely owner who greeted us upon arrival. Can’t wait to spend more time here. Other pubs in luff have nothing on this ngolo kante of a pub, great all over. As Jose once said “Respect man, respect” which is exactly what this pub deserves.

Where do I start. Warm and welcoming reception to all customers upon arrival. Bar staff were fantastic and entertainment on the night or upcoming catered for all. Prices were decent and the atmosphere was brilliant. Everyone feels included from The start of your night, to the end. Friendly people all around. Honestly, a place to visit!

I went here for the first time last night with a group of friends. The people working were incredibly friendly and welcoming and even gave us some cash to play pool with which made our night! We're all looking forward to going back soon :)

Been travelling the length of the country by narrowboat starting in Bristol harbour. Been in a lot of pubs both canal side and further afield and eaten in quite a few of them. The welcome was friendly enough the location ok the beer ok if slightly over priced( in sheffield used to pay 50 pence less per pint for exactly the same product.)The food is what spoiled my trip here. I had an all day large brunch which was very reasonably priced as was every thing else on the menu.it was the cooking that left a lot to be desired.the chips were only just cooked,the bacon was very very salty(I could still taste it next morning) the three eggs looked old and insepid and were well over cooked and the baked beans were lukewarm.Would I come back again?Very doubtful. Would I recommend the place? For location ambiance and beer yes possibly for food no.If I am in the area again I'll go down the town and go to Weatherspoons instead.

Reasonable pub alongside the canal. The food is reasonably priced with offers on most days. It is not Gourmet food but you cannot expect that at their prices. Lovely to sit outside on a warm summers day, or take a stroll down the canal. Beware it can get noisy at playtimes, as there is a school on the opposite bank. Needs a better choice of real ale. But well worth a visit.

Went on the pub's curry special night and ordered two chicken Currys with drinks. Service was good and they handled the lack of one of the dishes well (this was a few minutes after ordering), offering plenty of tasty alternatives. The serving size was generous and plenty of mango chutney with the nan bread and poppadoms. For value the Boat deserves 5 stars - all in less than £12 for two. Will be back.

Sitting on the edge of the canal the Boat Inn has a lovely setting. There is ample car parking making it a convenient place to visit. With tables inside and out you it caters of all weathers . The food is good and there is a varied menu each day, but it is the friendly and welcoming staff that makes a visit worthwhile .

Always nice to see the water when out for a drink and this is one of the few in town now by the canal. Pleasant pub altho does get busy for obvious reasons in the summer!

On a trip down the River Soar we came across the Boat Inn. The staff were vey friendly, helpful and accommodating. When ordering lunches we were immediately told of any shortages on their Specials Board to avoid disappointment. The wife had the Macaroni Cheese with Chicken and I had the Mixed Grill - the dog had the leftovers!

A beautiful pub right next to the river. Watching the boats and barges going past. We had a Sunday roast here 10/10 even did a nice cauliflower tart for the veggie. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

As part of our visits to all the pubs in town we visited this one recently and it does have the benefit of being right on the canal side so lovely views and ducklings! Can get very busy and less good later on but usually a good place to chill by the water!
