£4 for a small box of lukewarm chips - tasted like the oil needed changing. Don’t bother go to the pub instead for a portion of chips with a smile.

Great Chippy in a beautiful location overlooking Sennen Cove. We only bought some chips to take back to the Holiday Cottage, but they were great chips! Freshly cooked, generous portions and good value. Here’s a portion with some Prawns that I grilled, Garlic Butter Steak and a Pickled Onion.

Lovely fish and chips, friendly service and tight by the beach. Dog friendly too. Our food was ready in a few minutes as it was cooked fresh.

I have had a bad experience from a outlet in Mavergiss last week. And I have just had my faith in chippys restored by the outlet today I have over 30 years in the hospitality management in the best places to say five star it's is a disservice excellent chips all cooked fresh given my faith back 😋 I have just dropped into this outlet and can say that it's as good as last time the quality and service as good as usual and the price of the crab sandwiches are very reasonable and the quality is the best I have seen The crab is fresh every day from Newly and as I was assessing it as having 35 years as a head chef in London so I do know what I am doing come and try them for your self and see what you think.

Had one of the best views in Cornwall while having fish n chips 🍟.. really enjoyed being there on that rainy day . The music , the atmosphere and the sea view with some crispy scampi 🥰

Slightly pricier than what we're used to back home in the east midlands, was £12.50 for a portion of fish and chips. That being said... It was freshly cooked to order and the portion sizes are rather generous, fish tasted very nice. I would come back again when we're next in the area.

This is located on the beach front at Sennen Cove. Popped in for some chips for my daughter and ended up getting a meal for myself as well. It was really nice, well cooked food, and the price was value for money as well. Appeared to be clean and service was with a smile. A few tables outside that are covered so a great place to sit, eat, and overlook the sea.

Three of us went in for coffee, after the lady with silver, grey hair snapped after asking if took cash payment, we asked for one shot in each coffee and she no the machine was set up for two shots, which is rubbish, she was rude, unpolite,kept staring, I will be informing people not to go there customer service appaling they should not have 5 star rating they should have 1 star and be sent on a9 customer service training course. WILL NOT BE RETURNNING VERY UPSET

Advertises two scones and coffee for £8.50 but you only get one coffee. You have to pay £4 for two coffees. Which taste absolutely disgusting. Worst coffee that’s ever passed my lips. Scones crumbled and you couldn’t spread even jam. Service was appalling. Annoyed when I wanted two coffees not just one and sighed at me. Cafe overall was really dirty. Will never visit again and don’t recommend.

First of all ive never seen a place so busy & the 5 lads that were working were amazing, I dont know how they kept that pace up ,its a wait because its all cooked FRESH! which i prefer .We had cod & chips ,scampi & chips,& a curry sauce ,I went back as every year use this place and it didn't dissapoint ,crunchy batter ,chips & scampi cooked to perfection ,& I had no problem in being asked to put our cartons when finished in the bins outside or across the road ,I thought it was excellent value for money when you consider how much food & energy bills have gone up ,wouldnt hesitate to recommend this place

The best fish and chips we've had in a while. Freshly cooked on order. Great service and atmosphere and well priced for a big portion. Ice cream also served here, which was just as good! Locally sourced produce, too. Seating available both inside and outside. Highly recommend this chippy. Thank you!

Been told how amazing the chips are here , we had to try . Well firstly , soooo expensive. Never paid so much for a fried potato. They were 'ok-ish' , crisp but could have been hotter ! As for the cod piece ..... small , flat & greasy . Rude , sharp woman behind the counter, pointed to dustbins over the road for my empty cardboard box. No dustbins in restaurant even at overinflated tourist prices. Shame! I'll not be going back !

On a visit to Sennen Cove we purchased fish and chips from The Blue Lagoon. The service was very good and the fish and chips were very tasty. I strongly recommend this eatery, you won't be disappointed.

A fabulous place we found in our way to Lands End. We enjoyed both a cream tea in the afternoon and then went back for Fish and Chips in the evening. Excellent sea views both times. The staff were super friendly and took the time to make conservation. Overall excellent food and service and without a doubt the best fish and chips we had in the area!

We had been re-directed from the chippy on the road to Lands End which despite being new and advertised on Google as open, was closed. We were so pleased that the other one had been shut as the Blue Lagoon was great and very friendly staff. The view is fabulous too. We had 6 x fish and chips/scampi and all thought the batter was good and the chips crispy. Also a vegan option for our vegan. Nice cup of tea too!

Food great, service not too bad although person who served me seemed more interested in playing chess on his mobile phone. Whilst eating, lads behind counter were singing and were using foul language with my child present.

Great chippy in a good location, in terms of food - it was delicious and a very generous sized portion. However, getting served was a bit of a pain as I was waiting probably almost 10 minutes during what seemed to be a quiet period, and the lad who did eventually served me didn't seem to be in any particular rush to take my order or dish it up. Also, likely because of its location next to the beach, it is VERY expensive for a chippy

Every time you get fish and chips by the sea it disappoints. It’s never really the fishy dream you expect. Except this place actually delivers. The chips are perfection. The fish is crispy on the outside but light and fresh on the inside. Not too much oil. Not too much batter. Bang on. The queue will be long. But it is worth it. Highly recommended!

let me start by saying i’ve lived in st ives for 15 years and i always come to sennet beach just for this fish a chips, i’m a big fish and chip enthusiast and this is by far the best i’ve ever had. crispy chips thin and crispy batter… dont get me started on the curry sause! INCREDIBLE. the staff are always so polite and lovely, and of course a massive bonus being able to eat this extraordinary meal with the views of sennen cove. i have nothing bad to say about this fish bar it’s truly out of this world.

Gluten free turned out to be not suitable for coeliacs, only gluten intolerant people. Had phoned ahead to check but unfortunately not advised of this until we arrived. Hubby enjoyed his supper though.

Nice and warm fish and chips and scampi and chips but there could have been more salt and pepper and potentially crisper chips as they were a little bit soggy. It was hard giving this rating as the service was excellent and they came out hot but sadly the chips where the let down. But this might have been a one off. So definitely try it out.

Paid for scampi and chips but whilst waiting bus I needed turned up. Ah well, goodbye food! But I need not have worried as I was about to board the bus, the chef came running along with my order which I took back to campsite and thoroughly enjoyed. Fast food at it's finest 😃

Stopped by 11th June after a walk to Landsend & back. One member of staff was rude in serving my wife. Chips were dry and cod was greasy and not good size for the price.

Thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips. Made fresh and were piping hot. Sat outside and admired the wonderful view whilst eating them. 5*

Fish was cooked fresh to order and the batter was superb. Crispy and not greasy. Chips , curry sauce and mushy peas were of equal standard. Yes, not the cheapest , but you get what you pay for. Stunning view of the sea! Will be back!

I try to visit here at least two to three times a year & they never disappoint,the staff are really friendly ,and of all ages which is nice ,you can sit in or takeaway ,I did both ,its spotlessly clean,with lovely decor & the best view of the sea,you can sit inside or out ,they have a drinks fridge & are licenced so its nice to have a glass of wine or cappuccino, whilst the kids had a coke & a carton of orange juice ,we both had cod chips ,one of us had curry sauce ,kids had scampi and shared a bag of chips between them as the portions are big .Considering there was a queue everyone didn't seem to mind waiting as you know its going to be fresh ,at the end of the day whats the rush you are in holiday ,I thought it was good value for money ,fir the excellent quality of the food & will definitely come back again ,highly reccimended

Miserable staff, overpriced. Came here on our last night but the rude woman taking payment for the food kinda soured it for us. Try somewhere else before spending your money here.

Very expensive for a messy little place with cans of drink stored all under your chairs. The fish and chips were both a bit gloopy. Made me feel bad right up until the next lunchtime. The portion was big but how much gloop can one person eat. Staff asked us to take the rubbish afterwards over to the council bin across the road despite sitting and eating in. Surely they should have their own bins? Suppose people will keep going because the views are lush. Take your own grub and save a fortune and a lot of upset stomach.

Didn’t look appealing from the outside but the Crab sandwich and the Cornish Pasty were really good. Spoke to the owner about the coffee and he said it was good. I can confirm that he was right. If you’re passing and need a snack or just a coffee give them a try. I would go again if I’m the same area 😁☕️🥪

We only had cups of tea , but they were mighty fine cups of tea. Service was friendly, witty and charming.

We have been coming to Sennen Cove for nearly 30 years and have always enjoyed F&C from the blue lagoon. We usually get a takeaway on our first night, and then at least one other time. The service has been variable over the years but the quality of the food was always high. This year, as usual, we got a takeaway on our first night and were extremely disappointed. The fish was poor quality. It was edible but not really pleasant. The chips were totally inedible, those that were not as hard as nails were just horrible, the oil must have been close to being rancid. We will not try again this year. We will probably give it the benefit of the doubt and try again next year but I do hope they take notice and try harder. Looking at the recent reviews, we were not the only ones to be disappointed.

Crispy batter, delicious fish and proper chips served up in a beautiful setting. The coffee was really good too. Great value crab sandwich at 12.50, plenty of fresh crab. Pleasant staff, and the lady serving gave a free sausage to the dog with the family in front of us, which was a nice touch.

Possibly the worst fish & chips we have ever had. Pretty sure that the chips were frozen ones - they were hard and crunchy rather than fluffy. The fish batter wasn’t cooked properly and the edges were impossible to bite through. Curry sauce was lovely but for £29 for the 2 of us it was very expensive curry sauce!

Went for a take away. The food was just luke warm. The chips weren't, they were processed fries and the fish was small for the price. Bad food at rip off prices. Wont go here again

Bit of a strange one…. I’m kind of outside the box. But the lady who runs it, Mary…. Called British divers marine life rescue, because there was a seal pup down on the rocks opposite the café. Although I didn’t eat here…. But the service was 2nd to none really friendly staff and great cups of tea. Thank you for the hospitality while we were rescuing the Seal Pup. Which, by the way was uplifted and taken to a hospital.. the update is she’s doing fine! Thank you.

Great fish and chips but at a price. Appreciate it’s a small business but prices still much higher than other similar businesses. Perhaps caught out by gas costs. Still very great fish and chips but be prepared to pay £12.50 as of October 2023

Amazing fish and chips and crab sandwich. So good we went 2 days running. Also had ice cream, the best we had. Very friendly service, the lady gave our dog a sausage which he appreciated! Will definitely go back there on our next trip.

OK fish and chips, you are limited for options in the area. The chips were nice, the fish was a bit on the small side and ghe batter could have been a bit crisper.

After not being able to see a menu at the local pub we decided to get some chips. Really great chips (£4) enough to share and they explain their costs of potato’s has risen with the cost of living. They were enough to share, really tasty potatoes and non greasy. We could also sit there with our dog. We treated ourselves to a Moommaid ice cream from Zennor which we really liked. Lovely friendly staff too.

So nice to come to Cornwall & have fish & chips by the sea (nothing better) leaving this lovely place with a big stomach hehe I think speaks volumes within itself. Absolutely would so recommend this place to anyone. 1 of the best fish & chips we have had by far.

NO Vegan options except for the curry sauce apparently. Despite the the menu the reality is apparently that their suppliers are not "making it anymore". You still get it in recyclable cardboard box but if you need a bag then it's plastic which I would urge a seaside fish and chip shop to rethink given the amount of plastic pollution already in the sea. My daughter (non vegan) had the home made fish cake and was mighty impressed with the size. The chips were great if you prefer them soft not crispy.

Tad expensive but is standard seaside prices, £12.50 for a fairly large cod and chips. Fish was hot, chips were fresh, mostly cooked to order or near enough. Staff are friendly, but the summer has obviously hit them hard! (In a good way!) support this chippy

The reviews on price are right, we thought at first it seemed really expensive, then we ate them and they were amazing! Lovely to see proper chicken nuggets for children. So lovely to sit out and eat them As the sun goes down. If you’re worried about price take your own drink to bring price down. We were stuffed so found portion size good!

now this was a place that should be the standard for a chippy. can't go wrong with the food here fresh to order and has excellent view fronts. can't wait for next year when I visit again

Fabulous food!!! Turned up on a Friday 5 ish and got food very quickly.......really good chips and fantastic home style fishcake. Huge portion, couldn't finish. We thought very good for family of 4 £25, for that quality of food. Sat out front with sea view......nothing better. 😁

Excellent fish and chips! I had my favourite haddock and lovely chips in a box, all piping hot and delicious with vinegar and salt … there’s no better meal at the English coast side than this and this place serves some of the best I’ve had in my 64 years!

Avoid!! Mistake to eat here. At £12.50 per portion for fish and chips t take away you expect a little more. The fish was old very dry and small. Chips very few whole fluffy potatoes lots of crispy end bits. Very young girls serving and a senior lady. Big sign up stating the prices are what they are for to inflation price of oil, potatoes and electricity have all increased.Pasty was more pastry than filling. An expensive mistake we won’t make again. £12.50 far too much for a measly portion of fish and chips!!

So £49.10 for 3 tiny portions of fish and chips, with 4 sauces and 3 cans of pop! On entry I asked for 3 fresh cod to be put in to which the reply was “we have what we have take it or leave it”. Having 3 hungry kids decided to just take what was there and what an error that was. The fish was wafer thin, next level dry and could have been mistaken for deep fried leather. It was that bad even our dog refused to take it from us. We just chucked it all in the bin and are on the hunt for decent service and something that actually resembles fish and chips. Do not go here, even if convenience drives you, take the time to drive and find a decent place. If however you want chips alone it’s a low pass!

Be warned, you will wait for a LONG TIME. I joined the queue at 1830 and was still in it 20 mins later. I was committed! Once I finally entered the shop, I was met with the reason for the hold up - comic inefficiency... One member of staff insisted on doing ALL of the jobs (taking orders, boxing them up, cooking fish veeeery slowly) while three other staff looked on, literally doing nothing... They were trying, but the lady in charge was calling the shots and not letting them get a look in. It took me just over an hour to get my fish and chips. After all that, they were distinctly average and overly greasy. I will NOT be visiting this establishment again, it's not worth the wait.

Tasty fish and chips and good portion sizes, but high prices and not equipped to cope with the high number of customers. Only one person was taking and packing orders while adding up the price in their head and then shouting it down to the person on the card machine. The queue wasn't too long but took over an hour to get the food.

Had a stop by at this chip shop on our last evening walk along the coastline in Sennen. The food was very tasty and fresh, even our dog got a free cold sausage. We paid £14 for a jumbo battered sausage and chips x 2, I did think it was a little pricey in my opinion for what we’d ordered however I couldn’t argue the taste. Would still eat here again. We travelled 648 miles from Scotland on the motorbikes and popped in here for a fish supper, the food was lovely although it was quite a wait and not many people in front of us.

We had sausage and chips both times, £6 for sausage and chips, the chips were so overcooked and dark, we couldn't eat half of them so wasted money both visits. Yes, £12.50 is pretty expensive for fish and chips and no, it wasn’t a huge portion. However, it was perfect: crispy batter, beautifully cooked, succulent cod and excellent chips. When fish and chips is as tasty as this and eaten outside the chippy, overlooking the ocean, the price becomes irrelevant. The portion size was perfectly sufficient and every bit got eaten. Much better than having a massive portion of average chips, half of which end up in the bin. Outstanding.

Nice food but a bit overcooked. Service very good, staff friendly and efficient. Prices extremely high. £12.50 for cod and chips. We live in a seaside town and get better portions for £7.99 so felt a bit ripped off. Outside seating available, watch out for the seagulls.

Have always visited this place every year and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food but after tonight never again. Dreadful service and allowing customers who had phoned through order to arrive and add lots more items when us and many others had already queued for over 30 minutes. Then we're told they have run out of chips!!! Not the way to run a business!

Expensive! £51.50 for three fish and chips, one vegan nuggets and chips and a very small tub of peas. However, when we got home we actually had two fish and chips, two vegan nuggets and chips and a very small tub of peas. Not good value and not particularly tasty. Can’t believe that vegan nuggets and chips were £12.50, the same price as fish and chips!

This chippy is located in the most beautiful place, and the food is absolutely delicious! Best fish I’ve eaten in Cornwall and I’ve been coming here for 30 years! The staff are also so lovely and have a very quick service, can’t recommend enough 😊

Lovely fresh fish and chips cooked to order , staff were very friendly and being able to sit outside to eat it with such lovely views is great. The cover over the front offers some protection from seagulls and also the ever changeable British weather....

Close to Lands End, better prices here compared to the restaurants in Lands End shopping area. The restaurant is located on the high street so parking is sparce. DO NOT ATTEMPT TP LEAVE CAR OUTSIDE AS YOU WILL GET A TICKET! I parked up the road in the public car park (1.30/HR), car park looked out to the beach/sea. I ordered the cod & fish and kids meals also a vegan burger. The food came packed in tight card boxes, ruined the food to some extent as it made everything soggy. The chips were ok, fish was standard. The vegan burger at £6 was not worth it. They gave me two kids cod and chips instead of the scampi and chips, wasn't a big deal as mistakes happen. The place is good for a quick snack at a decent price point.

A group of 5 of us turned up 45 minutes before the displayed closing time but were turned away because the staff had already began to shut up shop ☹️

Friday night and website Says closes at 8 pm on the website. At 7 pm it was closing as had been quiet 🙄🙄🙄 Wanted 3 fish & chips. Managed to get 3 pasties. Staff not helpful at all. Be warned, don’t leave it too late. They seem to close when they feel like it.

Average fish and chips. Chips were soft and a bit mushy and fish batter wasn’t very crispy:( maybe it was because it was so busy and they were rushing. Curry sauce was really good though!

After trying to vegan sausage but they didn't gave any, so tried to order vegan nuggets only to be told that they're fried in the same oil as the fish and other meat products. The staff didn't seem to understand that its not vegan if its not prepared separately. Think the staff need a refresher on special dietary requirements.

Probably the worst rip off I seen in Cornwall. Priced at £12 for a small crap fish & chips then £1.80 for some sauce. I’m hoping they go out of business soon instead of ripping off the tourist trade. You do yourselves no favours in...
