Sandy went through an extra effort to provide us with the dessert of our choice. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend the head chef, Rob.

Good fun - food was very nice and Julie the waitress was well worth her weight in gold, she was attentive and looked after everyone well.

Stopped by chance on way to Luton airport Booked online busy Easter Monday - no problem Sharon our Waitrose was welcoming attentive and food was served fast. Food was great dirty burger, chicken burger and kids pizza - all very good. Good selection of wines and beer too All in all great spontaneous find!

Fantastic roast, lovely quality food and SUPERB service by Viki & Kim. My partner is a hospitality professional and we both commented on how brilliant the service was because it was a stand out feature of the experience. Lovely setting and aesthetic, too. We'll definitely be back.

OK pub, great location and that's about it. really need to sort there beer lines out (if you know what I mean) and I know prices have gone up but when a pub/restaurant is charging more for a sandwich then what they pay for a chef well what food do you think you will be getting, as said OK for a quick pint after a walk other then that, try somewhere independent and not this chain

The ribeye was amazing. Celeriac steak was actually quartered and not a steak, so was a bit hard in the middle. But well presented. Service was faultless, very good. I'm a tall guy and dodged the low ceilings fine, but the metal lights above the table were very low so watch out! The corners weren't soldered correctly and a bit sharp so had a cut to my head!

Kim served us and she was fantastic. We love good service and Kim delivered this in abundance. It was for my son’s birthday and he made it clear he didn’t want a cake and candies etc so we didn’t. But Kim went for it and gave him a candle on his pudding with happy birthday written on the plate. We all sang and my son died but he actually loved it lol. Meal was very nice. It could have been warmer but there was a lot of us to serve in one go. But the food was great so the temp didn’t matter too much. We will go back

I think the Black Horse hits a sweet spot between standard pub fayre and fine dining really well. Food is not cheap but I feel represents good value for money. Service is always personable and friendly as well. The service from Sharon in particular was very helpful.

Came here on the off chance of eating. Managed to get a lovely table in the dog friendly area . Had an amazing roast beef lunch that was properly cooked and served and finished with an amazing apple and damson crumble. Really impressed.
