Four of us popped in from work for lunch. Delicious food and a very friendly lady serving.

I had a lovely experience. The food was good, and the Mini Cod Special was particularly SO GOOG. Raisa and Heather, who were very kind, and the whole team was lively and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Great food, very good portions, especially the chips. they do some very good value specials like the mini cod special, which I tend to go for. This was the first Chippy I went to in MK. I tried other places but always come back 😀

We visited moores plenty of times always enjoyed the food that we ordered. Staff were always polite. One time I ordered online, my husband collected. As I unpacked and gave everyone their food. I realised I hadn’t been given the full order. Called the shop wasn’t helpful, basically called us a liar. I’ve since emailed too and received no reply. I haven’t been back since. The online order was clear and was paid for on arrival of the shop. So basically over charged for the food. Since the call was fruitless on the day and an email wasn’t replied too, I have taken my business else where. Disappointing!

Had a nice 8" plus hair in the chips - AND was my first order with them ever. Side note. There was not a hair net in sight. They did ask if I wanted salt & vinegar, but there was none on the chips.

So glad I made the journey to try their fish and chips. The service is EXCEPTIONAL and friendly, the fish has a lovely thin crispy batter and it’s super fresh and cream and the chips were freshly made and delicious. Would highly recommend

Amazing food! Always busy becuase of this and definitely reasonably priced for the taste!

Sadly, the chips are always hit and miss. Sometimes, great other times like the have been heated up from lunch time. Unfortunately, this evening, it was definitely not award winning fish and chip.

Got chips for lunch which were all rock hard not cooked at all.

Omg it was good. The small portions were huge. The large portions were more than I could finish. The young gals behind the counter were so helpful and friendly to my son and I. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you so much for the great food and atmosphere.

Popped into Moores Fish & Chips (Monkston Park) for lunch. Had regular cod & chips which was spot on. Outstanding service from James & Anna who performed Tom Jones songs whilst I waited for fresh fish to cook. Will definitely be going there again 👍🏾

I don't know what has happened , this used to be an amazing chippy but the last 2 times I've ordered I've been disappointed. Chips were horrible mostly the bits you get at the bottom not worth the money considering cost me £680 for 2 portions of chips !!!

Went in this evening after 13 hour shift unfortunately too late for service but the staff certainly made it obvious I was not welcome in there. Unfortunately wasn't able to order what I wanted which is a shame as love their food however their customer service is awful! Will be back, but not in a hurry! Up your game team.

Unbelievable , have never encountered a plaice like it . I was sent on a recon for our group of 12 Land Rover enthusiasts. Easy parking and at 1500HRS quiet. Placed my order, stated , I would sit in . Sat by the clean window. After about 10mins Order up . Approached the counter where poly boxes were waved at me . I said I had stated I was eating in. Yes this is your order . What no plates ??. No .ok what about cutlery ?? No ,we have those tiny lolly stick types. The tiny , one small chip at a time fork , was awful. I left very dejected retuning to the camp site. THE VERY LARGE ORDER WAS IMMEDIATELY CANCELLED . The cheesy bacon chips was vey good ,even though I had to reheat it back at camp. The spam fritters were a bit bland but ok . We had planned this but as emails had not been responded to obviously we ended up taking our business else where . We shall not be back.

Ordered around 5 times from here now for pickup, I choose to add salt and vinegar on both fish and chips, I even add a comment each time for salt and vinegar to please be added, yet everytime we are served completely bland food with not even 1 spec of salt and a drop of vinegar given. Salt and vinegar is part and parcel of fish and chips, yet for some reason times must be that difficult for this business that they can’t even supply a small amount, for this small yet simple thing they refuse to do is the reason we will never be going back to this place and will happily go elsewhere.

Fish batter was really really dark brown. Not appetising at all. Chips were bitty and nearly all of them had brown marks on them. Out of a large portion we probably threw 85% away. Won't be going back there.

Lovely fish & chips. We had scampi too which was delicious. None of it was greasy & served in easy polystyrene type boxes. The shop is lovely & clean & the staff are very friendly too. Will definitely return. Oh & there's lots to choose from on the menu.

Another lovely lunch from moores monkston park , had cod and chips , absolutely delicious cod was falky and chips fresh and tasty.

When it opened this Moores in Monkston Park was good but it has declined in recent years. The cod is no longer good quality and the staff don't seem all happy or interested. Tonight our takeaway chips were caked in about 5 times the normal level of salt - unacceptable and won't be back in a hurry.

Ordering on line helps beat the queue. Portions are massive. Even mini cod for pensioners with 60p of chips is enough for a normal adult. Normal sized haddock also big. A portion of chips will feed 2 (with fish).

DO NOT ORDER ON UBER EATS! The markup is at least 30% per item on top of their website prices. I love the food but sadly the punitive approach to pricing on uber eats have left me sour, especially given I don't have a car and it's too far too walk. If you do have a car I really love their fish and steak pie but for those who can't drive it's the most expensive chippy in Milton Keynes for delivery. Note: Cat is not included or on the menu

Food was awful. Pie was hard and crusty, chips full of eyes and small scraggy chips. Tiniest pot of curry sauce for almost £3. It appears another place using the cost of living crisis as an excuse to charge the earth for sub standard food. AVOID!

Food got wasted as the food was just dripping in grease! COD which cost nearly 10 pound swimming in grease battered sausage thick with grease curry sauce thick like wallpaper paste. Normal sausage despite asking if they was fresh they sausage was not fresh and was warm and not nice chips needed re heating & the garlic mushrooms was just to over done the meal was disgusting 24 pound down the drain I understand the food is takeaway but dripping in grease is disgusting!! OMG .Hands down the best fish and chips we've ever eaten.not at all greasy .perfectly cooked fish and lovely chips . Best take away we've had in ages . Highly recommend this place 👌

This will be our last visit. Previous reviews have hit the nail on the head. Chips were chewy, spongy inside, twice cooked and cold. Completely inedible. We threw them in the bin.

Still one of the best in MK in my opinion

Firstly how does a fish and chip shop get chips so wrong! Three times now the chips are almost inedible. Dry rock hard luke warm chips, utterly disgusting. Never had chips so bad anywhere. And of course it's made so much better being greeted by the most sullen, miserable, ignorant staff you could imagine. If you don't like working in a chip shop go somewhere else you are not customer facing. Hard to believe whoever manages this place is happy with their customer facing staff acting in such a way with customers. A very poor choice. I live on monkston park but now drive elsewhere to get my fish and chips. Where I am greeted with a smile, by courteous staff and get great food. Not much to ask from a chippy, but clearly it is from Moore's at monkston.

Unfortunately Monkston Park has really gone down hill. Have been going here happily for years, our recent visit is our last, the food was over cooked, chewy fish, greasy and tiny portions. Served by sullen, moody staff with no organisation, arguing amongst themselves in front of customers. We all had bad tums the next day. Won’t be back.

ABSOLUTE BAG OF TRASH!! Disgusting chip shop. Have them the benefit of the doubt after getting a refund a month prior. Still absolutely trash. Hard chips, re-fried stale. Absolutely zero out of 5. I will never ever go back there again. Shenley Church End have beautiful chips just their portions are small but I would rather buy an extra portion of chips knowing I’m not leaving one chip behind. OXLEY MOORES CHIP SHOP NEEDS CLOSING DOEN. YOU WOULD CHOKE YOURSELF TO DEATH OR BREAK A TOOTH. Absolute bag of trash. It’s such a shame as this used to be best chip shop around when it first became Moores and took over from the last place, but it’s really gone downhill. I’ve tried twice over last few months to give benefit of the doubt but the chips are redone from lunch time (or if not there really is no excuse for how stale, greasy and horrible they were). Jumbo battered sausage just a mouthful of grease and unfortunately I won’t be ordering from them again.

I don't know if I tried this place for the first time on the wrong day but the chips were awful. They had obviously been sitting there for a while and were inconsistent, some were hard and like warm, some burnt where they had been kept warm for too long etc but mainly not nice at all. On a good note I got a big portion but won't be going back, they haven't sat well all night.

Since Broughton Fish & Chips became Codswallop with soggy fish and now no longer a chippy, I have been looking for a ideal nearby replacement. This nearby replacement is Moores, the batter on the fish is crispy and the chips is great. Now I really enjoyed Fish & Chips once again.

Rude people that work here - Clearly do not care about the quality of food either, tired of wasting cash here as the food is hit or miss, nice food or worthy of throwing away. Great or RANK.. Give it a miss.

Todays experience was shocking the delivery was perfect , on time even I would goe to say rapid service food was hot , me and the misses was looking forward to a nice battered sausage and chips , when it arrived the food was hot but the chips god ! My chips were full of grease , the battered sausages had hardly any batter on them and was greasy , also my misses had pineapple fritters again full of grease , pineapple was all mushy also there was no syrup overall not a good tea

My local chippy in Walnut Tree is closed this week so went to Moores as only a few mins away. Was very busy & ordered 2 medium portions of chips and asked for no salt/vinegar yet we got 2 tiny boxes of chips covered in salt/vinegar! Couldn't be bothered to wait another 15mins for more so took them home and cooked oven chips in my airfryer. Will not be returning

We had our fish and chips delivered. They were lovely, really hot, generous portions and very, very tasty.

Decent Cod and Chips meal at a reasonable price too but couldn't confirm the sustainability of the fish by the posters and was too tired to ask

Service with a scowl, the food is normally fairly good. Unfortunately you can always count on one of the young ladies working in there to be rude, angry or indifferent whilst serving you. The first couple of times I assumed they were just having a bad day. Now it seems like this is standard practice. They manage to consistently make you feel like serving you is an inconvenience at best. I think the management should look to resolve this as it really is off putting

Sadly this once great chippy is victim to the cost of living crisis. However when I visited my son in Sheffield the prices were half the price of Moore's. The fish was great but the chips were soggy and a piece of chicken was overcooked. I probably won't bother again unless the prices decrease

I visited the shop today and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the customer service. The girl working seemed to have little to no manners and was extremely rude, with a face like thunder throughout the entire transaction. I understand that working on a bank holiday can be stressful, but there is no excuse for treating customers in such a disrespectful way. As someone who has previously enjoyed meals from this takeaway, it was sad to see the normally good service allow their staff to act in this manner. I hope that management takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to improve the customer service going forward. While the food itself was still enjoyable, the poor customer service unfortunately put a damper on the entire experience. Overall, I was disappointed by my visit and would be hesitant to return in the future if the customer service remains at this level.

Was in the area, in the mood to have fish and chips! The reviews speak for themselves, what can I say from personal experience. Words cannot explain, just the best fish and chips I have had in my life. I travelled few places, and love fish and chips but this tops it all. From the fresh oil, the fish to the chips! Not forgetting the gravy and mushy peas, I got haddock and the cod bites so for sure recommend you to try. Thank you again, great friendly team. Will be back! Keep it up.

Awful. I don't care if it's a Friday or a Monday, you cannot serve up dross like that. Cod was "Highly recommended" and was tasteless, no flakes, no substance, just some grey meat that you stuggled to get off the spine. If that was cod, I'm a haddock. They may have decent reviews and repeat custom by the locals, but this is not fish and chips. So sorry that I wasted my money here.

Fancied Saveloy and chips with a pot of curry sauce all day. Wife ordered early i.e. ordered at about 16:20, for delivery at 6pm. order got here about 20 past six, meal was cold (were only just down the road!) and No Curry sauce (@ £3 a pop!!!) i.e. how hard is it to put and check 5 item. sadly we got only i4 out of 5 items order. totally ruined meal!!!! No point chasing meal was cold already.

Lovely food, friendly staff but getting a bit pricey!

The food is always great from here but the last few times I’ve been the customer service was awful. Always seems to be a teenager with an unwelcoming attitude and poor social skills. I miss the old team who used to run this place.

Absolutely the tastiest fish and chips around. The food is cooked to order and never takes long. Really handy to be able to order online to collect a take away. Regular customer and never had cause to complain. Batter is always crisp and the chips are not greasy. Delicious!

The best chicken tenders in MK! Unfortunately I had to take a star off as my 'cheesy chips' came 'sans fromage'! Not the end of the world. It's great you can order online, pay by card & pick up or even order online & pay cash when picking up. *EDIT* Second time here & I got given Southern Fried Chicken pieces instead of the tenders I ordered. I ordered online & payed on pick up & obviously didnt know until I got home. I didnt go back & tbf they were very nice BUT i wanted tenders 😢

For a Fish and Chip shop it has fantastic atmosphere but it has even better fish and chips. Fish and chips with curry sauce in a box. 10/10 as always Fish cooked to perfection and chips just as I love. Never. Change. A. Thing.
