Homemade cooking at its best . The soup is fantastic and the coffee is made to perfection. My favourite place in Sandbach .

Visited here for the first time as it's fairly local to us & we were aware they serve Kickback coffee which we are fans of. There were 2 staff behind the counter who weren't particularly welcoming & struggled to even break a smile. The coffee was good but the place lacks ambience. I doubt we will visit again.

We visited the Black Cat just over a week ago and did not have the experience we expected . Firstly the owner who was at the counter as we arrived didn't even say "Hello" or acknowledge us as she was wiping the counter , which I find really unwelcoming. Secondly we sat at a table that had just been vacated and we had to ask for it to be wiped (which was after our food had been served, we gave them ample opportunity to clean it ) . Thirdly a customer was patiently waiting at the counter in front of the owner who never acknowledged him either . Then a member of staff who was clearly going off shift was served before the waiting customer ! Being in business myself I cannot stress how important it is to welcome your customers and if you can't get to serve them immediately please just acknowledge them and make them feel welcome . Don't ignore them ! Also you should never serve staff before a customer who has been waiting first . Business owners live and learn . It's all a learning curve over the years but some simple rules should be in place from the very start . Cleanliness, courtesy and manners being the most important . After all your success depends on your customers!

I regret to write this, as I tend to prefer supporting local businesses in Sandbach, but the lady who owns the Black Cat Coffee shop I’ve found to be not very welcoming on the several occasions I’ve visited. However, I’ve returned many a time, especially at the weekend where the gentleman working there has always been very friendly and courteous. I popped in on the off-chance to check emails and complete some work, bought a coffee and sat down to be told “not to be intending to stay all day to work” as there table space is limited, which of course I appreciate given some people may take advantage. While I understand the owner will need to advise customers not to overstay, I had just sat down with a full coffee and the manner in how this was said to me was not very kind and courteous, which left me feeling rather uncomfortable given it was a quick visit before an appointment. It’s a shame, as I enjoyed visiting for the coffee, but unfortunately I won’t be returning I’m afraid.

A fabulous find. Called in for a coffee and cake and so glad we did. The cafe is small but well designed with a boho feel. We were greeting by the friendly owners and served quickly. Coffees were lovely and cake delicious. We checked out the menu and it’s safe to say we will return to sample more of the tempting, reasonably priced meals on offer. A lovely place with a friendly calm vibe.

The Sunday carvery is great deal for the price if you go other pubs you are paying a lot of money for less. Cheap for a family to go. And have money left be going every Sunday from now on

We came for our breakfast and as expected we both enjoyed it. Wetherspoons food is always good which is why we keep using them. We both had different breakfasts but both loved them as usual. It's a pleasure to have it made for you. Well done guys, we will be back I'm sure.

Parked in what we thought was the free pub car park, received a parking fine for £100 one week later. We arrived when it was pitch black and due to COVID restrictions couldn't leave our table once we were seated. Hence, we didn't have a clue we had to pay to park. The staff didn't mention it to us at any point. Strange considering how many terrible reviews they're getting for the exact same reason? Why oh why.

Charles is amazing, such a gent. Gave great advice to us as we had no clue where to start with our planters. Also, helped take our purchases to the car. I can’t give enough praise for this place.

Mid week the Harrow had plenty of space to accommodate an impromptu family gathering. I know that at weekends it’s really advised to reserve a table. We’ve been coming to this pub pretty much all our lives, but was impressed by the upgrades and expansion. The menu was interesting and didn’t disappoint. The service from Shane was awesome. They have some great offers and discounts online so that diners of all budgets can enjoy it. Definitely putting this back on my “visits Home” itinerary.
