Have eaten here several times. The food is good and the staff are friendly. Open weekdays 8am-5pm. Could do with opening until 9pm as the store doesn't close until 10pm. The seating area needs maintenance as there are many areas of the floor covered in yellow and black hazard tape which looks like it has been there for quite sometime including in front of the lift. The tables and seats are clean but the windows need cleaning and there was dirt on the inside window cills. Come on Sainsbury's give the cafe a little TLC. Would we eat here again? YES!!

Took my daughters in today, food and drinks very nice and everywhere was lovely and clean. I had asked for two portions of toast with butter, one for me and one to split between my two toddlers. One arrived and I said I'd asked for two, she said that is two rounds...I said I asked for two portions not rounds and she said it is...I said a portion on the menu is two pieces, she was still talking about rounds and I couldn't be bothered to argue about some toast but seemed a bit daft to stand there and try and make out that I'm stupid in front of a full cafe while I'm on my own with two babies.

My wife and I were staying at the Nantwich Premier Inn, who no longer serve breakfast at the adjoining pub. We were told that Sainsbury's was not too far away who did a good breakfast. So we tried and we weren't disappointed. I went for the full english and my wife have a bacon sandwich, and we both had coffees. The food was hot and tasty and extremely value for money. We had to ask for the ait conditioning to be turned down but moved to the far end of the cafe anyway, no problem. The staff were very friendly so overall a very good experience.

As a regular shopper at sainsburys I like the store and variety of products but every time I have had to ask a member of staff where something is I can't find I get looked at like I've just spit in their face. On each occasion I've just been pointed in the general direction and the staff just turn around and carry on with their jobs. I've been pointed in the wrong direction twice now and had to ask other staff for help after looking aimlessly. I used to work in Asda years ago and all staff were trained to take the customer to the product. With your higher prices than Asda I would expect much better customer service.

Entry to story OK, lines painted on floor to assist distancing, however there is no control re shoppers (and staff) following the distancing rules. I visited early this morning (08.30) to avoid crowding, the store was reasonably quite, however I witnessed numerous couples shopping together (one basket or trolley) ambling along taking up lots of space between them. During my time in the store, there were no announcements to remind shoppers and staff to social distance. On the way out a lady was reading a notice board, blocking the exit thus causing a tight queue. Historically I have done my weekly shop at Sainsburys, unfortunately in the current situation I feel that I must find a safer store into which to shop.

On a recent visit to this cafe I was glad to see that 'steak and ale pie' was on the menu as I had been to other stores and enjoyed it with peas and chips which I asked for instead of mash on many an occasion......... but that was where my smile ended as the staff said that it was impossible to change mash for chips at this store and if I wanted chips that I must purchase them as an extra or change my meal . I purchased them as an extra but am not wealthy enough or wasteful enough to do this regularly and so will go elsewhere when I fancy pie and chips in Nantwich. If this is a new policy sainsburys are implementing I will have to re think going to other branches and maybe try the Morris ons cafes...... Whatever happened to pleasing the customer !!!

I have now spoken to 2 different duty managers in 2 different months about the lack of vegan offerings. Since actions do sometimes speak more loudly than words then one can reasonably conclude that Sainsburys cannot really be too bothered about addressing these particular concerns. I won't waste my precious resource by further input here but I shall be returning monthly to report the prevailing status quo. Perhaps this may work in the long term.

This isn't about the cafe, but I bought some raspberry doughnuts and they were advertised as 5 in a pack however, when consuming them I come to the realisation that there were only 4 despite the pack being completely sealed. To add to this, the pack was soaked in grease, thought it was a donner kebab in my hand, and the doughnuts were dry. I really thought better of Sainsburys, considering the high prices.

I am rather surprised that this café has been tagged as offering vegan options; I use this café once a week and the only vegan options that I can find are toast & jam or toast & baked beans. I did ask whether I could have mushrooms & toast; unfortunately the mushrooms are cooked in oil (which has no provenance) and a request to cook in water cannot be done because it goes off the recipe script. I have spoken to 2 different duty managers over the past few weeks and whilst they understand that it is not unreasonable to expect more vegan offerings (particularly since there are stacks of offerings in the adjacent store - clearly there is a market) nothing has so far been done to improve the scope of such offerings. I shall continue to bring this to their attention and hope that perhaps they may yet surprise me.

I was a bit dissapointed with Sainburys cafe today. I have never visited before and it may well have been a busy time of day but the wait to get just three coffees was horrendous. I must have stood in a queue that lasted around fifteen minutes possibly more. The staff seemed a little lacking in speed and knowledge of the till. We didnt eat but to be fair to the kitchen all the food I saw coming out of the kitchen looked good and the atmosphere isn't terrible. The place is clean and welcoming but it was just the wait that put me off.

Parked in what we thought was the free pub car park, received a parking fine for £100 one week later. We arrived when it was pitch black and due to COVID restrictions couldn't leave our table once we were seated. Hence, we didn't have a clue we had to pay to park. The staff didn't mention it to us at any point. Strange considering how many terrible reviews they're getting for the exact same reason? Why oh why.

With all the ambience of a canteen on a cross channel ferry, with so much noise, this is not a pleasant experience. I put shoes on for dinner, but that made me overdressed. Should have put some old trainers on. I live and learn. Add in that the food is really quite pricey for what it is, and it would definitely not be the place I would ever choose to eat. But I am staying in the hotel, and have an early start tomorrow. The hotel is very nice, and I will review separately, but it deserves a PROPER restaurant given the heritage of the place. Main course only for me, as work wont expense a £12 starter on top of a £6.50 pint without moaning, and I am out of this ludicrously loud and echoing ‘school dinner hall’ feeling place as soon as possible! Wish I had room service and not bothered.
