I went into this restaurant as a first timer. Food was nice. Price was reasonable. The owner brought us over the bill and was chatty and polite but as he went to leave he put his hand into my coat pocket and pulled a glass out of my pocket which wasn’t a cobra or singha glass and it didn’t come from their restaurant. It was a commemorative cider glass that I had bought from a charity shop earlier in the day. I don’t ever give bad reviews only good. If I received a bad service I would rather speak to the management instead but it’s never right to go through someone’s pockets and pull out their personal items. I won’t ever be going back.

Food is 10/10, service is very slow on busy nights. Very cramped.

Food was hot and tasty. Only mention would be putting the salad in with the hot food.

Dhansak was way too spicy, my partner couldn’t eat it. Masala tikka chicken was very dry and the sagaloo potato was very hard.

Delicious food and didn’t have to wait long. Never ordered from here before but will certainly do so again!

After reading the reviews on this restaurant. I decided to take my wife here to celebrate our 47th Wedding anniversary. From the moment we walked in. I knew that I had picked the right restaurant. I was met by a lovely waitress who showed us to our seat. We also had a very charming waiter who took our drinks order. We started off with poppadoms and chutney, which were lovely and crisp and a nice verity of chutneys. Followed by a prawn puree for myself. It was very good with a lovely freshly made puree with prawns in nice sauce. Which was so large, it was enough to share. Our mains, as there was so much to choose from the menu. We settled for a main mushroom bhaji, chicken Tika curry, large pilau rice and a pishwari nan and butter nan. All the dishes were exceptional good. The flavours of both the mushroom bhaji and Chicken Tika curry, complemented each other. The pilau rice, was light and fragrance. The service was extremely good, efficient and professional. This is something you would expect from a very well established restaurant such as this one. All in all it made our celebrations of our 47th Wedding anniversary a night to remember. Thank you!!. I have no hesitation in recommending this as must visit to enjoy good quality Indian food.

We went this evening for my daughter’s birthday. The Tuesday/Wednesday deal is amazing value. Includes a bottle of wine per couple. Food was excellent. Staff very attentive.

Puri breads were poor and the food was tasty but greasy…no mint sauce too !!

I placed the order @ 19.31 and at 20.20 was still given 21.10 for a delivery this was too late so I drove to the restaurant to collect, this is unacceptable service from just eat and I expect some sort of refund.

Best food around as always we usually go to the restaurant but definitely going to alder takeout again ❤️❤️❤️

The quality of food from this restaurant has gone downhill.My last order wasn’t good but I gave the restaurant the benefit of doubt.The salad was dry and poppadoms broken again.Onion salad was far too filled with coriander.Usually I have a vindaloo but tried the Rogan..wasn’t up to standard and now unfortunately I will have to find another Indian restaurant which is a shame because this place used to be one of the best nearby

We go back to the uk a few times a year and this is the first restaurant we always visit forExcellent food . the service is superb and the young lady that served us was as always very polite and helpful . She is a credit to the restaurant. Very good value for money will definitely be going again the next time we are in the uk

I’ve been to this Indian restaurant a lot of times and the last 2 or 3 time I’ve been it’s rubbish I’m now sitting in hospital over a tandoori RAW chicken that I had last night inside the Breast of chicken was completely cold and raw as you would buy it I havnt slept last night and now in hospital would not go there very bad

Worst experience at a restaurant I've ever had. Took them over an hour to take our order even after asking numerous staff members to do so. Then it took a further 40 minutes to arrive by which time we had passed being hungry. Onion bhaji were raw and uncooked inside so were inedible. Staff incredibly rude and dismissive,actively avoiding eye contact with customers, no apologies, was not informed that there would be a delay. It was very busy but lots of staff who just seemed to be rushing around without actually doing much. The priority seemed to be on takeaway orders. We were out celebrating my Daughters birthday,it really spoiled the evening . There is absolutely no way I would ever consider going back. I only normally review places if I've had a good experience but I would hate anyone else to waste an evening and their money here. I cant get over what an awful experience it was,another two tables complained whilst we were there that we saw,one person who went to the desk to ask where their food was was told 'it's coming,sit down's It was like a scene from Fawlty Towers,if we hadn't already waited so long and if it had just been me and my Husband I would of walked out and to be honest I wish we had! .

2 and a half hours it took on a saturday night, food was good but forgot the chutney.

Our first try of Benfleet tandoori and we weren’t disappointed! Curries were tasty and good size and we particularly liked the reshmi kebab which we tried for the first time and loved. We’ll definitely be ordering from here again!!

I went to this restaurant in 2017 and really enjoyed it. This evening we decided to order a takeaway, which for the most part was inedible. The Manchurian lamb was by far the best dish, lamb was nicely cooked, however dripping in oil. Keema Paratha, rock solid and dripping in oil. I too the keema out of the middle, the only taste was salt and the texture was gritty. The mushroom Rice was over cooked, flavourless and wet. I ordered the Indian saag ponir, there were options for a cheddar version. The Indian one arrived was the cheddar one with bits of curd thrown in. Lamb samosa absolutely inedible. The salt was overwhelming. Will not be ordering here again

After a few disappointing meals from various restaurants, this was a welcome surprise! The food was all delivered hot and very testy. Only issue was the portion size of the chips - very small for the cost.

I went for a mid-week meal here with my son. Service with a smile, welcomed at the door and given a lovely table. Waitress is brilliant - so attentive and very friendly - as are the other staff. I had the Balti Special Masala (with Chicken Tikka). I can't recommend this dish enough. The flavours are simply amazing. My son said the butter chicken he said was also superb. Well done Benfleet Tandoori - we will be back for more!

Awful service, ordered take-away for delivery, website 45mins once order placed the App advised 1hour 20mins delivery, that passed and i gave another 15mins, i called them and they said we're just packing it so it will be 15 mins. It finally arrived 2 hours 10mins after i ordered. Even then the order was missing the Onion Bhajis and Chicken Dopiaza instead of Lamb as ordered. The driver apologised for the lateness but we expected a little more, maybe some Free poppadoms but nothing....very bad for a first order and last...

Food was really good … absolutely rubbish delivery time … was told after contacting them twice that they only had one driver …. In my opinion they shouldn’t have taken my order if this was the case … ordered at 6.30 got our food at 8.50 ….. won’t use them again

We went to this restaurant on Saturday 28th October at 7.30 was met by a very nice gentleman & taken to our table the restaurant was cozy & comfortable. We had wine & poppadoms then ordered our main it when it arrived it was all delicious & enough what we ordered . We will be going back & would recommend. Thank you .tina& tony x

Disappointed today as our onion bhaji starter was missing from our order and the lamb chops were tough and chewy.

Easily the best Indian restaurant around imo, cannot fault it!

Expensive and wasn’t great, £1.80 for 2 poppadoms that were stale and the masala and korma sauce went cold and hard not long after delivery. Couldn’t even chuck in some sauces for the poppadoms.. I’ll be going elsewhere in future.

Missed an item in the order but rang and they quickly dispatched the missing item. Will order from again.

Do not order using the yoyo app. Spent £60 on a takeaway received an email 30mins later saying the transaction had been cancelled and the money would be refunded. The money has not been refunded, spoke to the restaurant who said they couldn't help and to speak to yoyo. Spoke to yoyo who said they have no way of tracking the payment and can't refund. So paid £120 for a £60 take away never ordering from here again!!!

Didn’t not like the lamb curry @ all not what I expected not very good food didn’t enjoy at all. Will not recommend this place I would like to have my money back if I can.

Lovely food good service we will be going again

The estimated delivery time said 35-50 before we ordered but then was 1.5hours after we placed the order. The order was then 20mins late on top of that and only sent after we called to chase. They had also forgotten part of our order.

A nice varied menu and good food

Food is great however the last 5 times they have been very late in delivering up to 1hour and half will not be using again.
